“T-thank you!” his breathing clearer than before, “Thank you all!”
Hastily, the violet haired boy pressed the chip into his P.E.T. All the while, this was happening while the flickering became more rapid and unstable around the body of Megami. All at once, the phenomenon had ceased...for only moment and then there was a burst of energy outward in a warm white flash that begun to enrapture everything in its light. The NetNavis whom had stayed, standing their ground around Megami, had become coveted by the encroaching light that begun to violet their very data as if it was searching for something. At the center of the spherical energy, Megami’s body becomes unstable while the other NetNavis around her are attempted to be pulled towards her.
“I-I go it!” Xenneth cried in urgency, “Expansion chip in, download! Full Synchro!”
The sphere receded so suddenly that it almost instantly contracted to a small bubble. The sweep of energy closed in on Megami’s kneeling form revealing nothing but a silhouette as even the fragments of the shattered crystal left by Serix seemed to have been affected by the NetNavi’s strange energy. “Megami! It’s okay! You can stop now!” Xenneth’s voice audible over the repetitive hum of coursing energy that ran about the female NetNavi, almost sounding like her own generator, “I am here! I never left you...and I never will.”
Slowly, the sound of the streaming energy came to a quiet dull whisper as Megami sat upon her knees. The Goddess’s body seemed to be back to normal, adorned with blue and white robes. Her hair was wildly, but no longer that golden hue it was before. However, the sphere of energy that raveled her had stripped itself into thin blue ribbons. Three peculiar rings of energy glowed brightly that upon close inspection had characters that were vaguely familiar to any scholar.
Temperantia...
Benevolentia...
Humilitas...
Megami’s head hung as her ruffled hair fallen to her shoulders and face barely let her read the virtues in Latin tongue. The swirling text had spun rapidly around Megami as it sent out an overwhelming energy and warmth. Just as the dialect itself was glowing brightly as a heavenly light, the very same light had came pouring from Megami as the thin Dark Soul silhouette was overshadowed and seemed to vanish entirely. Megami weakly lifted her head with a gentle moan escaping her lips as she tried to say at least one that was not among the many words she wanted to utter:
“Xen...kun...” like a child awake from a slumber, she ached trying to move a hand.
Megami’s body was charred, burnt, bruised, and to make matters worse: the moment her eyes came to a dull and low open; there was an impact upon the center of her back that sent her reeling forth and collapsing to the ground as if that one punch by the female NetNavi had been enough to finish her off. The glowing rings of text vanished upon impact, and Megami’s bright warmth of light had vanished from around her body as if she suddenly had the life knocked straight out of her.
“S-Seriously! The fight ended forever ago!”
“Nyaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!”
The wimpy, girlish cry sounded off through the communication throughout the city.
“H-hey?! R-really?! Why did you do that to her? She was already weak! I promise! She’s back to normal now...according to the P.E.T...I uh...well...”
Xenneth was saying this as he made haste checking the status of Megami after seeing Iria punch her. The damage was major, but not beyond a massive repair.
“Unity-san!” Xenneth called out to the dull body of Megami, “Are you okay? I am so sorry! Megami-chan was not exploding...but when she ran out of chips to absorb, I-I think she tried to do like your OS and expand in order to try to resonate with someone instead. I used a chip with some of my family data on it so...umm...she sort of resonated with some data representing of me instead...”
Xenneth was quiet as he stared towards the motionless body of Megami, worried. The display monitor finally revealing itself as the battle had come to a decisive end showing Xenneth pitiful expression as he looked upon his NetNavi.
"I guess...all those form changes...in a way...she just was trying to bond with something to fight what she felt."
A deep swelling of sorrow inside, Xenneth felt responsible for the NetNavi laid among the rubble of the torn city.

"The fight over already?"
Where she had once fallen, she rose from her own ashes...with some company. There was a screen behind Serix showing the face of a blonde girl with a dumb expression on her face.
"In that case, Iria, Beetle, I believe someone needs to be taught just who they're messing with. I'm sure you know what I plan to do about it. The question is, are there enough of us to do so?"
She was, of course, talking about taking back New Life.
"Isn't that place sort of a fortress though? You would need some pretty powerful navis just to get past the front door, no?"
"That's why I did a bit of research last time I was there. One of the prisoners that was recently released is powerful enough to do a good chunk of the work himself."

Glassman released a sigh of relief as Xenneth explained what Megami had been doing...
"That's good to know...I thought she was gonna self-destruct or something like that..." Glassman spoke, obviously glad to see the situation cool down.
Glassman then brought a hand to his chin as he thought about what Caliga had said before...
"So,our only way back up to HQ lies within Megami..." he thought aloud. It seemed that the way Iria described the dark jester was displayed as being spot-on based on his 'game' he put into play...with high stakes to say the least...
Glassman looked toward Serix as she reappeared, almost as if she had simply left the battlefield for a moment...
'One of the prisoners...?'
He didn't recall to mind whom they had locked up last time, but it seems he'd find out sooner or later...

*He would brave whatever came next. And as the light began to shine forth it had gone back in immediately. It looked like Xen had managed to do it after all. And then just as things were beginning to calm down... Iria struck like a pro. He couldn't help but finally find himself bemused between Iria's nature and the cry that Megami's operator gave at the moment when the goddess navi had the life punched straight out of her. At this Genesis couldn't help but gesture his hand to the ONB Commander, not entirely hiding his amusement. He didn't need any words to express what he obviously would say to her for that one. Not that she would listen to him anyway.*
"If she felt that way then it's your responsibility to make her feel otherwise. You were the main source of her concern after all. Just be honest with her whenever she recovers from this mess."
*In but a moment his armor returned to its original state. If Megami had succeeded with her plan then things would've been a bit nasty, that was for certain. Fate was still in his hand and he was ready for Iria to go to drastic measure number two. It was of course something he expected from her too. He'd intercept if she went for it instead with a bit of lethal force in turn.*
"As for what's inside of her, all that needs doing is to simply take the device out of her without punching a hole in her. Not for lack of trying on Iria's part. Even then, any of you getting back inside of your HQ wouldn't even make a difference right now."
*He preferred to be honest with them than not. Even with the prisoner that Serix mentioned, if it was just one prisoner, unless it was an exceptional one, would not make a difference. All they would accomplish from storming the place was being labelled a terrorist against order, lose horribly against the WWW forces, and then be locked up or terminated as a result. If they dove right in that was all they had in store for them. It was also the reason why he figured him getting the unit would make more sense than them. It would save them the trouble of doing something stupid before they did the deed. And while letting them do something stupid would be no skin off of his back he would prefer it if they didn't willingly do something that foolish without a legitimate plan. You know, one that could work on the guy without backfiring spectacularly.*

“R-right...”
The Onyx NetNavi was right.
Many times, Megami had tried to get the words out for him to hear. Deep down, however, Xenneth already knew what she wanted to say. He always knew, but yet, she had tried to keep it distant considering how it would sound. He did not want to become attached, and not only that, but it just seemed unnatural. His eyes shied away from the display of the NetNavi like he was some father figure. He knew...deep down...he was right!
“W-wait!” Xenneth called out to Genesis, hands flailing before his monitor hearing the suggestion. “T-t-there won’t be no need for that! I-I think I-I can get it out so you guys can be on your way!”
Xenneth’s sight shifted to Iria hoping that the NetNavi would not act hastily. He doubted that he would pun-...well, he hoped at least it would not come to that. From the display of brute force, the violet haired boy was not sure if the NetNavi would punch a hole into Megami and he would rather not gamble on his sanity after such a display. The young boy went through his P.E.T. communication, once again linking it with Megami.
“Unity-san! Are you there?” the young violet haired boy called out. “Megami-chan is running on your OS, right? Does that mean you can pull the Transporter from her since you two are combined? P-please?”
He begged out of good will considering the trouble he caused...and for the sake of not having these NetNavis taking drastic measures.

Iria (I get that she's being used for the sake of comedic relief here, and has been noted for future vendetta, but the punch was enacted before she fixed herself! =|
Also a she, not a he!)
Iria rights herself and crosses her arms. Feeling no remorse for decking the sickly navi. It was her own fault for getting infected. She taps her fingers on the other arm while impatiently waiting for Xenneth and Unity to get Caliga's 'Promised teleporter' out of Megami. She had a meeting with Gate to make and if this clown was like his file suggests he actually comes through on his 'gambles' prizes.
She ignores Genesis solely out of her own exhausted power. Wrestling three powerhouses was a taxing endeavor and as much as she would love to add another notch to the days belt was not a smart idea when what's left of her oomph is meant for another.

OOC: REWARDS
I've been watching this whole arc, and even before I was granted the ability to hand out EXP/Zenny for good RP, I thought ~Divine|<3|Heart~ deserved something for the quality of RP here. Raising the bar not only for the rest of us (as always) but for himself as well, the dynamic between Xenneth and Megami is just flat out amazing. The tension of the whole battle, and the love he has for her, doing everything he can to help, is real.
Seeing the (from my experiences with her) normally serene albeit a little bit out there (see the Christmas Party) Megami turn into a destructive force like this was something else, and the burden it forced on Xenneth was a large one. Of course, it provided him an opportunity to grow and to see him come out of his shell was also a nice surprise.
A little quote, one of my favorite scenes to highlight the quality here.
The scene is vivid, the emotion is palpable. "I am here! I never left you...and I never will." It hits me right here. I love it. I can't say much more without repeating myself and want to avoid a wall of text breaking up the thread too much, so I'm gonna end here.
300 EXP / 3000 Z to Megami for what is some of the highest quality RP I've ever seen.

...the force of Caliga's darkness at last subsides, leaving Unity free of the dark prison that he too had been sealed into. With a sigh, he looks back to the window with Xenneth's face and nods.
Unity: I should be able to.
Reaching into the depths of Megami's data, Unity plucks out the teleportation unit and clutches it in his hand. Nodding to himself with a sigh, he smiles and finally releases his fusion with Megami, causing her to return to normal... however, as the final bits of Caliga's influence leave, a strange ornament of sorts appears on Megami's form; a scar from the battle, or an omen of things to come...?Dominus Captivus The crest of Caliga’s favor; grants access to his power, forcing attacks of greater effect at will.HP+200, DMG+20. Twice per battle, the holder may instantly cool down a single attack of choice. This effect may only be used once every 2 turns. After a few moments, the blue and gold clad Navi appears on the streets near his battered friend. His armor no longer glows, but rather appears as a dull gold, betraying just how tired he is as he holds up the teleporter.

“Thanks…” his voice weak as he spoke to Unity as if he himself had gone through a mighty battle.
“You all should hurry along. I-I will look after Megami.”
Even through a pop-up window, the tone and facial expressions were not hidden. Xenneth’s somber voice was not short of regret of what had happened. Surroundings that were either grain or dust were reminders of just how destructive Megami was in those moments that were already fleeting the moment he looked to her peaceful face as she slumbered. The thought of her awake filled him with a pending danger as if the kind and motivating NetNavi he knew was non-existent in that shell he watched.
“No!” One glimpse of the NetNavis around her awakened his rebellious spirit, “She is my friend! They worked so hard to bring her back! I know she is capable of more!”
“We’ll join you later!” he blurted out before he knew it, “I-It’s the least we could do!”
He had a strong face as he looked onto the NetNavis that were around Megami. His eyes looked to the transporter that Unity had, somewhat hesitant to go through with his declaration, but what was a little fear but a thought of failure. Embracing it as it was, Xenneth swallowed deeply as he tightened his pressed lips and curled his hand around his P.E.T., and in his other, a fist.
He could do something about this...somehow.

It didn't take long for the rage that kept her going all this time to disolve. Serix looked away from the others as she spoke, so as to hide her face from them.
"Yeah, I'll catch up in a bit. Right now...there's someone I need to talk to."
She walked off without waiting for anyone to respond, directly towards the blade sticking out of the ground.
"I was such a fool, wasn't I? I was always trying to catch up to you....I was always searching for what wasn't there anymore."
Standing in front of his monument like that, still facing away from the others, tears streamed down her face, like raindrops running down a windshield.
"I was trying so hard not to lose you, not to lose what we had. In the end, I ended up failing on both counts. I knew there was nothing I could do....and yet....something inside just kept making me follow you."
Her legs shook before she dropped to her knees.
"And even now, I still look up to you.....even now, I'm trying to follow your path. But starting now...I have to figure things out for myself. I just....I don't know if I can."
After a few moments, she slammed her fist into the ground.
"Why.....why did you leave like this.......why couldn't you stay here...with all of us......why did you have to die?"
And then, her emotions overtook her.....a primal scream....as if all the world were to blame for this loss.....and she just stayed there, crying for someone she would have to learn to live without...in time.

*It didn't take him much to step forward to Unity and taking the unit from him. And after that did it disappear, in his possession now. He would leave Serix to her own devices. Getting over loss wasn't exactly the simplest of things.*
"Worry about taking care of her for now. What comes after that can wait."
*Now rather than sit around longer and wait for the reaction, the Onyx Overlord disappeared. Dissolving into black bits of data that left the ruined city. With what he had come for in tow. And the added bonus of having saved someone while getting it. This had been a rather successful day, all things considered. He would talk to them when they were feeling a bit more amiable. Well, any of them minus Iria. She didn't want to speak to him much.*

As Unity presented the transporter to them all,Glassman thought "VICTORY!". They had helped free Megami from the dark chains that bind and successfully gotten what Caliga promised they'd get...
But as Serix walked away and fell to her knees,Glassman's heart went out to her...afterall,he had tried to save Jin at least once...
Walking towards her,Glassman stopped next to the Green Tempest fire-wielder,looking down at Jin's remaining blade, reading its words for a moment.
"I know I'm in no position to say anything here...but I'm sure he'd want you to go on living life to its fullest."
Glassman almost thought to pat her on the shoulder,in an attempt to comfort her...but he thought it'd be better if he let her be by herself for now...
Turning away from her,Glassman inhaled and took a breath...
"And...I'm...sorry we lost him..." he spoke, holding his head low as he left Serix those last few words. He could feel some wetness in the corner of his eyes, but sniffed and walked away. It wouldn't do for there to be anymore tears shed now...and if 'Live without regret' were Jin's last words, they'd have to do their best to keep on going. They were encouraging, heartfelt last words...
Glassman looked toward Genesis as he took the transporter and left...under different circumstances he probably would've been at least somewhat angry about the navi taking the transporter...but he he couldn't fully muster up that level of hotheadedness now.
"Hope that guy knows what he's doing..." Glassman said, really hoping Genesis wouldn't go to New Life my himself after pretty much telling them not to.

Iria ... Iria looked more visibly annoyed than usual. That clown actually stuffed a teleporter in there. Though no one could be sure to where. No one important would know now. Genesis had stolen it and vanished without a trace. Iria snaps her fingers, attempting to lock the network to prevent the thief from escaping, but nothing came. Gate must've disabled the function as well. Uhhhg.. she moans glancing around at the destruction. I'm going to Sharo. You two are welcome to tag along or give a report to the local officials. The light of the sky breaks away, the shine of the network's artificial lighting dies. High above those within the network, the dome of data that represents the infinite sky pulses with a golden flash and begins to shatter in a display of surreal and other-worldly power. Piece by piece it shuts down, flickering with a gray static before disappearing. Behind it all, a fearful sight from centuries past, and a looming end with terrible inferences;
the network of Duo's meteor lays bare across the barren expanse, with a single active link within it; New Life. As those below look on, it quickly becomes obvious what's happening to any with knowledge of the ONB's current issues: Gate is in the process of attempting to hack Duo's Meteor Network, and New Life stands as the lone point of access between the two.

Within the darkness, four lights had stirred around in a perfect circle. One across from the next, each one had danced in a rhythmic sway, not breaking formation. Forming what seemed like a halo of harmony, the colors spun faster...
Faster...
Faster...
FASTER...until a halo of golden light shown.
“WAKE UP!”
“Ah!”
Megami had sprung to life with a yelp. It was the only thing anyone heard at that moment, other than the looming sounds of the Meteor Network, but not the voice that sent the female NetNavi into a leap. She sat up on her knees, but soon caught herself falling to the ground once more. Her hands acted as support catching her from the back, and her long luxurious robe flowed onto the rubble beneath her. She ached all over, and one place in particular as she reached to her right bosom. Slightly, removing the garb to not show shame, she pushed the cloth aside enough to see a strange black mark on her flesh...
“Megami-chan!” Xenneth cried out over the open communication, “You’re awake!”
Quickly, she let go of her garb. The mark was once again covered on her body, and Megami looked around towards the NetNavis within the area. Her head felt as if it was trying to remember a not-so-vivid dream. Her eyes were pure, not dilated and empty, and it could be seen by all as she looked to and fro to the remaining NetNavis that were within the area. “D-did I...lose consciousness?” she breathed after the exhausted breath. “I dreamed...I mean...of that NetNavi? Xen-kun’s voice? I...I am-”
Megami was talking frantically. Confused and disoriented, she had stopped talking and looked to her surroundings. There was carnage, destruction, and bits of the network sent into ruin. The NetNavis, or some of them, that were in her hazy dream were still around. The black diamond toting NetNavi was gone and all that remained was this city...the one she seen mauled to pieces in her dream like a nightmare of the worst kind. Her eyes softened, then became droppy from the weight of her lids. She frowned and looked to the pieces of rubble underneath her feet and dusty hands.
“Oh...” reality sat in with melancholy, “...not dreaming.”
She said this is a depressing tone. The large network dawning on them was no match against the weight of Megami’s sin.
