With Megami's sudden slashing betrayal, Caliga's eyes open with an intense focus and clarity, his ever-present smile growing even wider as he looks on at the carnage that her newly enhanced powers were capable of causing. Drifting down as if a leaf on the breeze, he stands once again and holds out a clawed hand with a laugh, as if introducing Megami to a group that had never seen the divine Navi before.
Caliga: Such a shame that you couldn't find your foe in this game before it was too late. Had you bound together when the first fog dropped, you might have saved her, and yourself, quite a bother. But no matter! Even though you failed the first step, I'm a good sport... let's go on to the second step!
Caliga's eyes rise above Megami as he points to the sky. Above the divine Navi, the prize that the group now seeks, the teleporter to New Life, descends and passes into Megami from the crown of her head as if a spectral whisp, merging with her data.
Caliga: And now for the rules of the real game; this poor, poor girl is now trapped in a prison of my own design, her body acting on the whim of destruction and chaos. Within her lies the object of your desire, but within this fact also lies the problem; if you destroy her, you destroy it, as well as cause potentially irreparable damage to an innocent little girl... perhaps even ending her entirely... Oh! And the longer that she remains like this, the more her mind suffers from the prison that I now hold her in!
Caliga laughs to himself and waves his hand in a broad gesture, looking back to the group as a whole.
Caliga: ....however, if you leave her like this, the damage that she may do is incalculable. She now holds access to my own powers, and far exceeds any of you. So the question arises; how do you stop this carnage while still obtaining victory without allowing yourselves to die in the process? That's an answer that I do so look forward to hearing!
It takes a few moments, but eventually a screen opens up forcibly on Xenneth's PET, revealing the face of the Navi that he and Megami had met not long before; Unity.
Unity: Mr.Xenneth! Something has hacked Megami.EXE's data and is taking over from the inside! It started when the fog formed, and quickly spread. Her mind is inaccessible, almost as if it's still in the fog, and she's taking severe mental trauma from all of this. I'm not familiar with her data, so please; tell me what to do!
All around Unity, a dark fog similar to the one that Caliga had summoned earlier undulates in silence, revealing the obvious infection of darkness that now consumes Megami's very being....

As the blade effortlessly passed through the navi, it was not a look of shock, or regret, or even anger that came over his face. Rather, he looked kinda happy.
"Well, if this is how I go, then that's how it happens. Gotta say, probably should have joined the ONB a long time ago."
As he spoke, his body began dissolving into the wind, starting from his feet.
"Just, one thing. Make sure that this gets taken care of here and now. Don't make future generations fight our battles."
When the last pixel disappeared, all that was left of him was his blade, stuck in the ground. Engraved on the blade were three words.
'Live without regret.'
[Jin.EXE Deleted]
((OOC: Making this a perma-delete. Jin was a good first attempt, and i will miss him, but it's time for me to let him go so that a new navi can be created in his place, and this was the perfect opportunity for me to give him a proper deletion.))

Iria (What does postin' first have to do with it? o.O)
... The hand remained planted on her face for mere seconds before being swatted away hard enough to leave a bruise on a lesser being.
Someone doctored up as you could still do that, moron. commenting as she tossed a small glance to Megami, who had obviously been chosen to lose the first round of Caligas game.
She loses. Shame. Quickly glancing back to Genesis at the end of her comment. She's exibiting the same characteristics as a Darkloids tended to under that foul taints influence. Perhaps not a full on Darksoul but a little push is all it would take.
This thought guides her action as Iria makes an abrupt uppercutting motion. Simultaneously an array of lights tears open the ground beneath Megami in a motion matching Irias. The light attempting to shred the possessed and purify the corrupting dark influences.

...too little, too late. Gravity Beetle saw Megami's move a split second before she made the scene and tried his best to get in the way, but his inferior speed proves a liability, as all he manages to do is catch the very tip of her fabled sword on his shell with her follow-through, a slight nick that effortlessly gouges his obsidian armor and jerks him around into a full turn. Gravity Beetle failed, and Jin paid the price.
Gravity Beetle: ....!
The situation, which had already been grim, takes a turn for the worse. The situation stuns the armored Navi for a moment as it all sinks in. However, now was not the time to let it all sink in. One life is lost, and many others hang in the balance; not the least of which being this trapped girl. With anger in his eyes, the herculean Navi plants his legs into the ground a few yards from Megami like a wrestler, his steel feet cracking the pavement and sinking in as they land.
Gravity Beetle: .....GRAH!
An inarticulate expression of frustration is all that Gravity Beetle can muster. No banter, no direction, no overt words of encouragement and teamwork. All that remains is one fact; it will be easier to neutralize Megami if she takes enough damage first. Now is a time for action, not words. Now is the time to make a difference.
Generating reality-warping energy in his hands, Gravity Beetle thrusts his fists toward his target and tosses the newly formed black orbs forward. After a few moments, the two orbs arc off of their path and begin to orbit around Megami in an erratic pattern, waving up and down as they spin and making it more difficult to move with any sort of speed without ramming into one of the crushing voids. Next, Gravity Beetle opens his horns wide and thrusts his head skyward, creating another void between them. The gravity well pulses and undulates for a moment before suddenly swelling and engorging itself to a size roughly five times that of Gravity Beetle himself, entirely engulfing its creator in the process. Once it reaches critical mass, the spacial anomaly pulses and begins to pull in the debris from across the field. The gargantuan Gravity Well becomes a focal point of the battlefield as boulders, steel scaffolding, and entire stone walls broken off from the previous fights turn into massive bludgeoning weapons, pummeling Megami on their flight path towards the event horizon of the Gravity Well, its creator looking on from the center...
....or so it would seem. Allowing only a few moments of this chaos to reign, the real nature of the onslaught is revealed. As one of the two voids that Gravity Beetle had launched moments before rises along its chaotic orbit, its irregular form contracts to a mixture of smooth and jagged shapes, shattering like glass as Gravity Beetle takes form from its core and leaps skyward from it. Now directly above Megami, he thrusts his head down as the shining, golden blade on his forward-facing horn lights up and forms a massive crescent of black energy similar to that of the previous gravity well along its razor-sharp edge. Poised and ready in a fraction of a second, Gravity Beetle falls from above like a guided missile. Drawn downward at break-neck speeds by his own mammoth weight combined with the intensified gravitational pull on his body, Gravity Beetle's blade comes down on Megami like a guillotine, effortlessly slashing through everything in its path and opening up a massive fissure along its edge with an earth-shattering crash as it makes land-fall.

*Her reaction was totally worth it. His armor took the hit easily enough, flexing his hand after as he was going to remark back, but was interrupted by actual events, events that were the second part of the game. Of course, Jinko was the first to find that out. That strength let him know why too, Genesis waving his own arm in turn as a wall of black formed, defending the first attack that Megami had sent forth for each of them. Although in the end he would try to keep the navi's parting words in mind, noticing someone new as well, not quite recognizing the beetle before now. And Iria's reaction let him know from here, offering a glance back to her. He understood what she meant and that was fine, it was how she was. He had to focus on another thing now as well. The answer to Caliga's question for how to solve this game of his. Words would be helpful, but they weren't the ones who needed to penetrate the void that Caliga created inside of her.*
*He was like mind that they had to neutralize her first. From his left hand gathered darkness, black energy forming as lightning crackled forth and was shot forward, spreading out and engulfing the entirety of the battlefield. A battlefield that he was often known for, Gravity Beetle not feeling the effects of the Negative Gate that was now in place. Black energy coursed through both arms after, swinging both as various waves of energy tore forth, destroying everything on its path to Megami. His eyes flashed as he vanished from sight next, appearing above Megami much like Gravity Beetle before him as he put the two swords together, launching down immediately after as the energy around the sword began to whirl much like a tornado, shining vibrantly as he came crashing down with the blade, letting forth an explosive blast of energy right after to follow up the attack with unrelenting power.*

Glassman briefly wondered what Caliga's 'true'strength was like if he gave Megami access to his power...but now wasn't the time for that. He also mulled overthe fact that collaborating could've saved them from this level of trouble...once again,it was too late to dwell on such thoughts. He'd definitely have to keep in mind that working together in the face of an enemy led to the best solution...perhaps that was something he should've learned by now...?
As for Jin's last words, there was no way to misunderstand them,as they were crystal clear and to-the-point. He'd do his best to remember them as well...
Seeing Iria's attack,Glassman emitted a small degree of heat across the field prior to him sending a familiar flurry of chains up from beneath Megami,to deal some light damage,as well as support Iria's attack, binding their target for but a moment if possible.
Taking care to not go too 'all-out' on Megami,Glassman held both hands in front of him, gathering energy into an orb.
With a pair of vine-like roots (minus the spikes) sprouting up behind Glassman,he leapt backwards onto them and used them like a springboard, chucking the condensed laser energy toward Megami. If it hit its mark,it'd only cause an explosion big enough to consume one vessel - hers.
With his right arm switching into a buster,Glassman gripped it with his left and fired a powerful burst of energy, locked onto Megami. It wasn't enough to delete her (he hoped),but it was an incredible blast that one couldn't easily ward off. The shardcannon attack would also buffer his descent as well, preparing him for a safer landing.

xXxXenneth&MegamixXx
________________________________________________________
All of it was so fast that Xenneth barely had time to process what was going on...
The horror of seeing Megami scatter a NetNavi’s bytes of data into the wind was dreadful enough, but with pained tears coming from eyes that were mere empty made him doubt that was his NetNavi before him. Whether he was ready to face the truth or not was not an issue, especially as the other NetNavis seemed to gain their resolve and attack Megami quickly head-on.
Iria’s sweeping light was dodged with a simple kick of Megami’s legs as she evaded by leaping backwards. However, just as quick as she seen the scenery starting to pass by her, it seemed as if time stopped and her body was being pulled back in place from her previous position. Two orbs wisped around her, and one in particular was created and growing at a massive rate. Effortlessly, Megami was being pulled in as her arms came together shielding both of her eyes, and a narrow opening revealing itself only for a moment to show the new look in her eye.
“I-I...I don’t know!” Xenneth cried staring towards the display of Unity, “I don’t know anything about Megami’s programming! It’s too complex and...I don’t know where these chips are even coming from!”
As soon as Xenneth said this, there was a display on his advanced P.E.T.’s touch screen. One massively sized chip, in data size, was slotted in and a sheen surface started to appear around Megami in a single swiping shimmer. The gravity well? It suddenly became ineffective as Megami was mysteriously holding her position. The debris chunks, shrapnel, and massive pieces of rubble had rebound from around Megami’s spherical space revealing a black glass surface.
“This is called...Black Barrier?”
It seemed Caliga’s influence contaminated more than Megami’s mind and body, but also her programs and folders. It was only one more piece of shrapnel that struck the barrier that caused it to shatter into pieces of shards like stained black glass. Her hair swayed in the pull of the vortex once more as Megami was vulnerable to all incoming attacks! She prepared to move her feet as need be, but she nearly stumbled. Her cold eyes could see the chains from GlassMan ensnaring her feet and the field drastically changed with a strange racing energy from Genesis. Gravity Beetle and the Onyx Overlord were closing in!
They were getting close for comfort...too close!
“This Battlechip coming...it’s...” Xenneth gasped realizing just what he was looking at, “Get away everyone! You’re too close!”
“Overclock...Slasher!”
*SWISH! SWOSH! CHINK!!!*
In time that took place before a single second could pass, Megami did so much with a pair of dual-swords: she countered, parried, and completely decimated her bindings! The sound of broken chains was so serene as pieces of GlassMan’s binding attack was reduced in seconds. Megami was tossed aback with an explosive display of power from Genesis’s follow-up attack, and Gravity Beetle’s crushing blade met that of a two-swords that made up with precision and timing with what they lacked in power. The female NetNavi was propelled backwards and seemed to narrowly escape danger with both of her hands grasping the two glowing blades in hand: one red and the other blue. Xenneth gazed at both of them grasped by his former friend whose expression seemed dark, brooding, vengeful as if something had been taken away from her.
Her speed was intense for some reason, her movements were beyond an ordinary manipulated NetNavi, and if memory would recall before Vile’s battle begin...there was a reason why...
“She is still using your powers Unity-san...” the violet haired boy uttered lowly, “...this is Megami, but...I don’t understand what is going on!”
1...2...3...
That’s how long it took for GlassMan’s condensed laser weapon to strike its target, and in that little time, it seemed very ineffective. Upon impact, Megami stood staring towards the opaque NetNavi with a blank stare, and body surrounded by the crumbling shards of dark stained glass. It was obvious that the Dark Barrier would be a problem with its regenerative properties, and the ever present ominous feelings dwelling within the female NetNavi’s vessel. Xenneth watched on as she was pummeled by the cannon fire from GlassMan’s weapon, as there was only a single step back taken upon being hit, clearly her defenses were null only for that small opening, but it was still enough for Xenneth to wish he had not seen that.
“Unity-san, I’m not sure what to do,” Xenneth said staring at the P.E.T, “Remember? Even Megami couldn’t understand herself! I am not even sure what I can do to help...I-I...am not even know where to start. I feel so useless!”
Xenneth’s fingers pressed into the P.E.T. as if he could break it in half with the image of Unity’s face that looked to him as if he was some kind of hope. She was clearly taking damage to some extent, but with her expression and movements as mechanical as if her skin was made of cold metal like that of a machine, did she even care or feel anything?
As usual, Xenneth felt nothing like that next to his friend...he just felt the helpless.

Iria Their combined assault not so much shrugged off as it was endured. Despite being claimed to be full of Caligas power, Megami's retort wasn't as.. destructive as it should've been. In fact she was lacking one what-so-ever.
Another part of the game. she mumbled, more aware of Caligas obvious ploy than before.
Adjusting her stance to face Caliga Iria sighed heavily; Navis couldn't experience "real" fatigue but all it takes is a programmer with a sick sense of humor to have it emulated for them to irksome effect.
Quickly shifting her stance from one foe to primary, Iria quickly pitched an orb of coalesced light fastball directly at Caliga with impressive aim. An understudy of Strikeman perhaps? Letting the momentum carry her Iria fell into a flip before landing upright once more and slapping the ground with the pitching arm; beckoning a meteor like the one that had struck Vile before onto the Puppet Master.
GB, disarm the girl. Glassman on me. A simple enough task for him. She and Glassman could possibly bully Caliga into slipping for a moment; letting Megami wrest of him on her own.

"Got it!" was all Glassman said as he also switched to face Caliga.
With his right hand glowing a faint red,Glassman fired two laser beams from his eyes, both aimed directly at Caliga. He then quickly followed the laser attacks up by slamming his right hand into the ground, sending a pillar of blue flames to shoot up before the devious jester, rushing straight toward him.
Glassman wondered if Iria had a real plan...but he'd find out if their effort was fruitful or not...in time.

A red beam of light descended onto a building not to far from Jin's blade. When the light dissipated, another ONB navi emerged on the scene, with a handful of Joes following her. The Joes, upon noticing that Iria was fighting immediately trained their firearms on her target....which looked like a checkered jester. Serix scanned the area.....and upon seeing the all too familiar blade stuck in the ground a female navi of less willpower would have crumbled under the circumstances. Instead, her flames grew hotter and hotter, until the Joes had to move to another rooftop and realign their target parameters. As for Serix, her flames burned a brilliant white before they sunk into her body, causing it to glow a peculiar mix of orange, yellow, and white before she launched herself from the building, scorching a path through the air straight for the jester himself, a white hot orb glowing brightly in her left palm, which she would try to slam into him at full force if she made contact.
Serix: ........
There were no words for the pain she was now experiencing. Not a physical pain, but something else entirely, and she had just found herself a punching bag to take it out on. If the orb did hit it's target, it would create an explosion with a blast radius of five meters. All the while, she would keep getting hotter and hotter.
Serix:.........
((OOC: I only say ONB because GT is merging with them anyway.))

....and then, suddenly, Serix' momentum was gone. A striking pain overshadows her power to do anything, as a rain of fire suddenly pierces her body at multiple points behind her. How? The Joes that she had brought with her. Still under Gate's influence, they waited until she was a good distance and unloaded their weapons on her and the rest of the team fighting against Megami and Caliga. While weak individually, they would quickly ware down any Navi in the area, leaving Serix with only seconds to take cover or fall to the onslaught.
Now alerted to the location of this battle, an entire battalion of Joes quickly beams in behind the others, readying their weapons to take down all who dare to draw near.

Little did the joes know that firing on Serix in this state would be like whacking a hornet's nest. Rather than take cover, she drew the energy from the rounds into herself, mixing it with her own as she started drawing every bit of stray energy in the area into herself. This, of course, included her own. All of it was being focused on one central point within her body, and before long, the mass of energy within her began to grow.
Serix:....................
While some would call this a juvenile tactic, she had done it before, although last time she was on the ground. The ball of energy glowed the same as her, a bright mix of yellow, white, and orange. It gave off a heat that at first was just a little hotter than she had previously been. However, as the ball of energy grew hotter and hotter until it enveloped her.
Serix:..........
One way or another, she would avenge the one navi that she actually called a friend at one point. Even after the mass had enveloped her, she continued drawing in energy from her surroundings.

As Serix boldly approaches the battalion of joes, they all nearly simultaneously point their weapons at her and begin to unload. It takes mere seconds for her entire body to succumb to the onslaught, as her energy is drained away in a matter of moments. She had underestimated her foe, and now she would pay the price.
((Serix' Detonation Canceled))
Back against Megami, Gravity Beetle does his absolute best to keep the heat on. Reeling back after his flying guillotine attack, he swiftly thrusts the horns on his head back and around, allowing himself a more defensive stance. The first strike from Megami's blades slash the herculean Navi's obsidian shell, leaving little more than a gash on the surface. However, this small gash causes Gravity Beetle to reel back in shock. Much like cutting through a hardened callus, any real dent in this black shell caused Gravity Beetle very real pain. But now was not the time to submit to the stabbing ache that he now feels. Knowing that another precise blade was well on its way, the Spacial Navi turns a full one hundred and eighty degrees with his hardened horns agape like the beak of an eagle, and swiftly snaps them shut on Megami's sword, preventing farther damage. Knowing that he stands no chance at winning a grappling match with this Navi's sword, Gravity Beetle thrusts his head to the side and re-directs the sword slash's momentum harmlessly away from himself and anyone else unfortunate enough to be in the path. This was his opening to strike back just as she had. But first, there's one small problem; the Black Barrier.
Jetting back on his feet to get a little distance from Megami, Gravity Beetle thrusts forward a half-clenched hand toward the trapped girl. As he does so, a gravitational force appears simultaneously in his palm and between his horns. The force in his hand corresponds to a powerful field that now implodes around Megami from all sides, oppressively crushing in around her at an exponentially growing rate. The power grows and grows within a mere moment, until at last something shatters. Under the power of Gravity Beetle's Spacial element, Megami's access to the Black Barrier is shut down entirely, rendering her unable to re-form it. (OOC: Spacial-element effect: spacial Navis can north-wind Auras/Barriers) And now for the second phase. The growing distortion between Gravity Beetle's horns swells rapidly as the metallic Navi plants his feet, halts his backwards momentum, and thrust himself forward. With his wings parted in a gust of wind and his body in full flight, Gravity Beetle speeds in towards Megami; his heavy chassis drawn to her as if she were the earth itself, and his bladed horns prepared to snap shut the moment that they make contact.
...but then, out of the corner of his eye, he notices something; Serix. In a move as rash as his own, she was attempting to take down the entire battalion on her own, and losing from the looks of it. Gripping his fists and closing his eyes, Gravity Beetle performs a U-turn mid-flight, skims past Megami, and enters the cross-fire. Speeding through the bullets, the gravitational wall of a Navi flight arcs sharply as they spark against his hardened shell and deflect off before nearly pile-driving into Serix, tackling the wounded Navi and pulling her out of the fray. He then slams into the ground and tumbles behind the rubble of a fallen building, rolling onto his back and reeling in pain from the numerous attacks. His shell now battered, he quivers from the shock of it all before sliding his eyes over to the battered woman, raising his voice as best he can.
Gravity Beetle: ...your temper.... when you lose it, whoever finds it.... has already beaten you....
Still in a relaxed position, Caliga's wry and lithe body swiftly springs into action, seeming to almost bend out of the way of the incoming attacks. Instead of their target, each move strikes one of the four diamonds that orbit Caliga at all times, causing a set of cords to surge out and attach themselves to the wrists of both Iria and GlassMan.
Caliga: Ah, thought you could just attack the source? How fun. But, you know...
It's then that Iria and GlassMan, both against their will, instantly turn on each other in a swift show of power. GlassMan fires a beam of energy that pulses against Iria harshly, while Iria lashes out with a vicious punch against GlassMan, at which time both Navis collapse, in control of their own bodies again.
Caliga: Fighting one opponent is so much easier than fighting two.... or three... or four. So, perhaps it would be wiser to turn your attention to the girl. Because if I join in, then you will forfeit all hope of a happy future. And besides; I by far prefer this less chaotic format.
....it's then that Caliga's face contorts to an annoyed frown as he remembers the rest of the situation. He glances up at the joes, and then to Megami, giving her a graceful gesture as he does so.
Caliga: My dear, would you kindly do away with those nuisances? They're getting in the way of your game.
Unity, meanwhile, tries his best to keep the situation at least accessible from within his data-prison. Megami's continued access to his powers was causing him pain, and the lack of an escape for his new friend was causing the OS Navi to become steadily more frantic.
Unity: Can you temporarily disconnect her from your PET? That might limit her chip-data access to some degree...
Unity flinches at the encroaching darkness, trying his best to fight it off.
Unity: Okay, I don't know how it's going to work out, but I'm going to try and start to hack her data back and shut her down from the inside. If I can at least stop her from moving, then we can get her into your PET and try to fix her there. I don't know if it will work, but it's the best that I can do...
The ring around Unity lights up as he begins to frantically access Megami's data, attempting to at least slow her movement.

*That was a quick counter that she performed to get free then. It was particularly old, but it was something all the same. She hadn't done much attacking them this time, rather she had been almost entirely defensive, something that told him how something was up and that he should attack now instead. The sword that he had flickered with greater power, Genesis surrounding his gauntlets in the black energy before it faded and energy further eclipsed his sword. Swinging the blade, the blade unleashed a torrential wave of energy multiple times, loosing the Advent after Gravity Beetle's distortion against Megami's barrier took place. The sword shattered after, having to form another one after he unleashed the attack as another sword of black energy formed like the previous one. He was going to continue, but then he noticed that it was just himself and Gravity Beetle here.*
*Iria and GlassMan looked like they wanted to go after Caliga instead while... well, someone decided to bring a lot of enemy reinforcements. That was actually a problem with that many around. And they were already firing from the looks of it, halting his attack before jumping behind one of the fallen buildings as well to the left of their barrage, placing his free hand against it as the building fortified and enhanced itself according to his power, making it more durable as a result and also having part of it move in the direction of Megami in the case of her impending attack. His armor sparked for a moment, noticing that some of the rounds that had passed through Serix had hit him as well. But he placed his hand on the ground again, a pulse running through it as the ground around Megami reconstructed itself, launching up at her as spiked blades. From here would come preparing himself defensively, hearing Caliga telling Megami to get rid of the Joes. He could also hear someone else talking that he couldn't see... likely the Unity that the human had mentioned before. If Unity could slow down Megami it would work in their favor. An interesting turn of events, so now was their next issue to address. One that he would see about doing so when he got closer to Megami again, something that he planned to do soon at least.*

Glassman heard the newcomer enter the area with what appeared to be a battalion of the ONB's Joes...and,like the rest of them all,he found out exactly how bad the situation had become as a few shots grazed him as well.
And to make matters worse,it seems attacking Caliga (even with the intention of trying to lessen his grip of power on Megami) was a wrong move as he found himself firing upon Iria...it seemed attacking the 'GameMaster' was a fatal mistake. He'd keep in mind that this was the second time he'd gone with Iria's 'plan' and gotten his butt kicked...
Defensively,he felt as if his armor did little to buffer the impact. And Glassman felt as if strings released his body prior to collapsing onto the floor, catching his breath.
If he didn't know any better,Glassman would actually think Caliga wasn't that bad of a guy...though he was playing with their lives. Taking in what the jester said, maybe it was best that they weren't actually fighting him...
He hated to admit it,but taking care of the Joes would likely benefit them all...
Erecting a barrier around himself,Glassman could see that staying out in the open like this would only mean more danger for them. With a burst of speed,Glassman swiftly scooped up Iria, dashing behind the closest building for cover.
