"NO."
Legion's head slowly turned towards Fulgur while he spoke, and after his response, he grinned towards him and revealed his jaw in an attempt to maul Fulgur's neck.
Which was halted by Desperado's announcement.
Which he was obliged to obey, but physically couldn't. Thus, he only weakened his aura to a tolerable extent. Cracks would still appear anywhere, but mostly at the size of a dragonfly, at best.
He hears Ion call a name, and sees that he's looking straight at him as he did so.
The name had no significance to him, however, and so Legion was confused as to why Ion called him with that name.
"... GRADE...?"
A faint memory lingers in his mind-- That when he started firing on a lifeless corpse of a huge Navi.

Having been left alone by Legion, Kidd let out a sigh of relief. He then made his way towards the command room, separate from the control room. He turned on the room's comm and took a breath before speaking.
"Welcome, guests and fellow members of the International Navi Defense Force. I, Kidd, will be taking a leave of absence in order to search for like-minded individuals. So, I won't be here for a while, but I'll be back before you know it."
After switching off the comm, Kidd made his way to the teleporter room and gated out to begin recruiting people. One passing by might have seen a flash of blue light as he departed.

Khepri.EXE Khepri's radiant aura seemed to mend the building as he passed by. It was something that he was used to seeing, and liked to see; what he wasn't used to seeing, though, was a being who was as unlike him as the one before him.
This Navi had an aura of darkness around him, permeating from his body by about the same amount that Khepri's permeated from his: Their auras were about 5 feet in diameter, with their person acting as the epicenter. When their two auras collided, the two now standing 10 feet apart, their auras sizzled and crackled, creating steam and conflicting energy as two opposing forces came together.
Despite the request, something in Khepri urged him to pulse more power into his aura. This navi. . .the death aura that he radiated put him at odds. On one hand, Khepri had no reason to attack this Navi. On the other, he appeared to stand for everything Khepri was against.
Regardless, though. He complied. His healing, radiant aura slowly diminished, until it was little more than a second layer of skin about him. The other Navi followed suit with his own aura. He decided to take this time to look past the darkness, and try to find the Navi beneath it.
He studied the Navi closer. He didn't recognize the man fully, but, when he took a closer look, he did have a sort of familiarity to him. Something about his physique and the vibe he gave off was actually familiar. . .wait, could it be?
"You were one of the Navis who fought that Reaverbot, with us, weren't you?" he asks bluntly, his imperious and commanding voice demanding attention and authority he didn't really want. Despite his commanding stature, he felt himself humble.
"Yes, I remember you, now; you took in those dark tendrils, and tried to take the scythe as your own," he said before a pause, not certain if he should say the rest of his thoughts. With a second longer, he finished, "I'm glad to know that you're okay." It was a genuine statement.
He pried his eyes from the Navi to look around the large hall way and the circular room beyond, before he looked at each of the congregated Navis in turn. He recognized almost all of them. . .they were all at the fight against the Reaverbot.
"Wait. . .you were all at the fight against the Reaverbot, weren't you? Why have you come here?" he asked, before giving the area another once over. "What is this place?"

"... ... ... YOU DON'T MEAN THAT." Legion meant this as a suggestion.
"... THEY ARE, AS WELL? HMM. WHAT A HIGHLY STRUNG-UP COINCIDENCE..." Legion really didn't have a good memory to begin with. It's rare that genuine curiosity comes up to him. The only problem is... He is curious about a most trivial thing.
"NOW THAT I THINK OF IT, THIS FACILITY IS BLOODY FAMILIAR. HOW MANY SIMILAR TO THESE HAVE BEEN BUILT AROUND THE WORLD?" Legion uttered a sudden question... Which also didn't make much sense. But, aside from the dank, horridly-pitched voice, he spoke with confidence and at a faster speed.

Fulgur grunts at the Force of the two navi's auras, taking steps out of range, and crouches slightly as Legion says no, looking at the young navi with a menacing grin.".....Please don't attack me. I do not wish to fight you, not right now." He blinks as Ion greets Legion. Did they know each other?
He looks up as Kidd makes an announcement, nodding.Alright.....And it looked like the two weren't going to fight...Good..He looks at Khepri with a small smile, doing his best to answer the sun navis questions."Uhm...yes...I-I, as well as these o-others were there....W-we have decided to f-form a group, dedicated to protecting those who n-need and d-deserve it....U-uhm..we needed a b-base, so...We acclaimed this, since it was a-abandoned.It was once a ONB research base.."

Blinking as Legion appeared confused by the name that Ion had uttered, Ion took a moment to reflect on his time with Grade. The dual toned voices, the erratic violence followed by almost exhausted state of curiousity. Could this navi truly have no recollection of the short time they had spent together? Even after so short of span of time? Had the degradation that was inflicting Grade when he healed him progressed faster because of the purification? Yet the lingering glint of recognition lit Legion’s eyes ever so slightly, as though remembering through a dense haze. What a curious situation…
Followed immediately by another curious proclamation from the navi named Khepri. ’Reaverbots and scythes?’ Perhaps that was what Vince had been unable to see through the network lock in Kotobuki. Carefully filing these small facts away for later questioning, Ion couldn’t help but feel a tug in his gut that something huge had been moving beneath the surface while he had wandered the networks in solitude.
Ion’s eyes moved to Fulgur as he weakly responded to Legion’s threat before explaining the reason for the revitalization of the base and the sudden hordes of navi’s that had come with the restoration. ’So new factions are gathering with the fall of the ONB. I had read that Gate commandeered it, but I’m surprised there wasn’t more opposition.’ Addressing Legion now that the others had had their moment to speak, Ion spoke in matter-of-fact tones, having decided to lay it all out on the table for Legion, ”When we last met that was the name you greeted me with. I healed you before accompanying you into the Ranmount Mines. “ Tilting his head much like a dog would when posed with an unknown command, Ion continued, ”You seem less…conflicted now.”
Smiling at Fulgur in spite of his stuttering, Ion commented, ”An admirable goal. Certainly a daunting one in these times.” He was itching to ask more about these Reaverbots but he stilled his tongue for the moment. Sometimes well placed patience pays out more than unfiltered eagerness.

The party certainly wasn't in the control room, and the partition was already auto-syncing with New Life's database and hidden away as well. That would be helpful in the long run at least, for who though still was in question. No one was around to watch, so Desperado was free to move at whatever speed he chose, darting down in mere seconds to just before the stairs down to the first floor. It had seemed recently his uncanny speed he was initially programmed for had been enhanced even more after his... Incident. Shaking his head as he turned the corner in a leisurely stroll, a small spring in his step as he approached the group in the entryway. He could just barely make out Legion's last question and those words which followed, including Fulgur's rather meek response. They hadn't even setup a chain of command and while Desperado knew his recent addition wouldn't lend himself to being high up, a superior such as this was a little troublesome. Finally making it to the group proper, Desperado bumped playfully into Legion, smiling as he spun into a wallside bench.
"It is my understanding from a glance at the ONB's database that there used to be one of these on every continent, but no new data has seemed to come from them for quite some time. But the connection with the main base has been severed, so unless they come to manually take it back, this place is basically ours.
Hey a new guy! You come to join too? All walks of navi are welcome at INDF. Hard times we face now what with Juno... and the general danger of the net. Ya'know with it being clear that the ONB suck at their jobs."

Khepri.EXE Khepri's calm stare turned into a threatened glare, at this "Grade's" suggestion. Who was he, to decide whether or not Khepri meant what he said?
Instead of letting himself get all strung up about it, though, he turned his attention to Fulgar; the one person out of the group that he truly recognizes. He gives Fulgar a friendly smile. After listening to his awkward speech, he responds, "Well met, friend. It's a noble cause you strive for; and, from what I can tell, a difficult one, too. He had already once made a comment on Fulgar's lack of social confidence; he thought it would be wrong to point it out, again.
Then, he turned to the one he had yet to be introduced to. He studied the Navi over, before extending a hand in greeting to him. "Greetings, good sir. I am Khepri.EXE. By what might I call you?"
Names were a powerful thing, both in mythology and the normal world. He decided that being social was better than naught; however, he was unsure if any of these Navis were of higher standing than him, and was afraid he was using improper social quotas.
Another Navi suddenly joined the crowded hall way, bumping into the darker Navi before plopping down on a nearby bench. Khepri cringed, ready to leap forward should the Navi react violently; otherwise, he remained calm. He turned to the newcomer, before he realized that it was he who was the newcomer being welcomed.
He tried to process all that he heard, at once. He had know for a while that their was something going amiss; what he failed to learn was what that thing was. Kotobuki was the first true sign and clue that he had to follow; sense, he has been looking for more. This person that he mentioned - Juno - was appearing in many conversations of dread. Were they the cause of all the terror?
"I have yet to decide whether or not I plan on joining your group; however, we appear to share a common cause, so, for now, I believe it would be for the best. While I have nothing to say of the ONB's success, because I was not aware of what they were, I can say that I look forward to our own missions.
His words were very clear, and absolute. He had a strange way of talking, but, it didn't really bother him. He could only hope that these Navis weren't dark, and that he wasn't signing up for a sinister purpose in disguise.

I CALLED MYSELF... GRADE? MINES... MINES. MINES WOULD HAVE CAVES, YES... LESS CONFLICTED?
Legion glared at Ion coldly, much to his wonder if just how much he knew of him beforehand...
"HEY, YOU. DO YOU-- ..."
Legion was interrupted by Desperado bumping him, and afterwards, hearing his monologue.
"OH..." THAT MAKES IT 5 OF THEM, THEN. 1 ON EACH CONTINENT. IF THIS... DATABASE... IS THE TICKET TO FINDING HER AGAIN, THEN SO BE IT.
"KHEPRI, EH..." Legion grinned all too menacingly; his bloodlust took full effect as he crouched like a cat on the stairs. His eyes glowed red, and a black, fiery aura formed around him and fell towards the wall, leaving burn marks and cracks on it.
He may have found another worthy rival. It all excited him. "I'LL REMEMBER THAT NAME...", Legion murmured to himself within 2 layers of voices.

Fulgur winces at his stuttering, mentally cursing himself. He wished he could talk normally, but...But nothing. He'd just have to prove that despite his social awkwardness, he was worthy of being a member of this group. Well...that, and keep his sentences short, so it wasn't so painfully obvious.
The young navi nods. Right, there was a plan to go with. Ful listens somewhat to Ion and Legion talking. So...they did know each other. He sighs, here was hoping he'd get along better with Ion...He seemed to be a nice guy.
Ful looks at Khepri, who comments that though a noble cause, its a difficult one as well. He smiles back at the sun Navi, and Ion as well, who says much the say thing. The boy responds softly, but firmly, determination gleaming in his eyes."I know....but, someone has to help. If this doesn't work out, I'll just have to go it alone." Then, he realises he'd probably sounded like a idiot, and goes back to his standard self as Des speaks. So much for that plan..
As Khepri says that for now he would join, Ful smiles, nodding, his words coming out softly."T-thats good....I'm glad w-we have you on our side."The boy looks at Ion curiously, trying to ignore Legion."Do you wish to?"

Smiling comfortably as the navi of life introduced himself, Ion extended his own hand and finished the introduction, ”My name is Ion and it’s a pleasure to meet you.” The comfort of command flowing from Khepri gave his greeting a formal tone beyond that of his words. As Desperado made his entrance and inquired as to whether Khepri would be joining them, Ion noted the intelligence of severing the connection to the main ONB network. It would buy significantly more time for this group to coalesce before encountering any form of trouble. But yet again fragments of current events cropped up in conversation, this Juno seemed to be a significant player in whatever was at the core of the problems these days. Well that and the hi-jacking of the ONB. Listening intently as Khepri aligned himself with the group’s cause, though not yet committing to joining, Ion couldn’t help but wonder further how they planned to accomplish the massive feat of defending the downtrodden.
Legion’s growling tones and icy glares seemed to roll off Ion without consequence. He sensed the hostility of ignorance but it was a distracted hostility. It was as though the navi was just looking for anything to lash out against, a child who’s frustrations could only be vented in trantrums aimed at everything and nothing. Watching the scene play out intently as Desperado bumped him, Ion took careful note of the dual layered voice that Legion finished his speech to Khepri with and mused aloud, ”Mmmm perhaps not…” Shaking his hand before himself as though clearing cobwebs, Ion continued speaking to the New Grade, “I was Ion before and I remain Ion, if not Grade, what do you call yourself these days?” His tone was friendly and curious, this navi was intriguing to him and he couldn’t help but wonder on the trigger that brought on the metamorphosis.
Glancing over at Fulgur, Ion’s intrigue grew further as a glint of real steel coloured his voice despite the quiet tones. Perhaps there was a seed of real determination in this one, despite the stuttering response to Legion’s threats. He was surprised and it showed clearly, when Fulgur asked him if he wished to join. Caught off-guard by the offer, Ion took a moment to look at the growing group and the different personalities, abilities and histories that would be coming together. ‘This seed may actually take root.’
Smiling Ion offered a compromise to the head-band bearing navi, “How about we do a couple missions together first? I’m curious enough to give it a try and then you can see if I’m a good fit.”

Still crouching, Legion turned his head towards Ion. His grin still showed, and widely, and he laughed. Within two voices, he laughed.
Hearing Kidd's announcement, he disappeared, as if he sunk into the concrete of the stairs.

Russet stood by the whole time, keeping himself distant from their entire conversation.
Meanwhile, he couldn't help but get mad about Legion's presence, as if he's taunting everyone to shoot him to death. If he could, he would, but it would damage the base and everyone around if he did.
After hearing Kidd's announcement, and Legion's disappearance following it, Russet gave a sigh of relief, unknowing that it won't be long before they encounter each other for real.

Fulgur smiles when Ion seems surprised by the offer, and he explains."Y-you seem like a good navi...I t-think you'd be a good fit..." Then the taller navi offers a compromise, offering to go on a couple missions to try it out.The younger navi nods."OK..s-sounds good.."
Then the message appears. Ful reads it, nodding."Right...Sounds l-like they need our help." Then Legion begins laughing, his twin voices echoing out chillingly. After that, the Darkloid disappears, and he sighs. Well,at least they didn't have to deal wi-...Wait...what if..Fulgur's eyes widen, then he runs towards the teleporter, his cloak swirling behind him."We gotta go help!!"Standing on the device, he disappears with a flash.
