[bgcolor=570041] “If we cannot talk our way through this.” _______________________________ “Scuttle viruses...” Rosetta uttered lowly to herself, “Nu-chan! You can’t let him buy time!”
What was she doing?! A question that raged in little Rosetta’s mind as she found herself applying her analytical skills in order to help this strange malicious program. Regardless, Nu had seemed to understand what her “help” was getting at: this second persona within the NetNavi was trying to buy time. As Nu was watching the arrival of the viruses, she could already see they would be a burden considering that she was facing a trio of powerful elemental viruses that were coming at her at once and she could not compensate by calling forth her clone and dividing herself with the other annoyance nearby.
The trio of viruses unleashed a wave of their elemental attacks, and instantly, Nu could see that this would be a problem...so she evade.
Nu had rolled quickly out of the direction of the rolling sphere of thunder. She knew she made it out safe, but barely as the electricity that ran across the terrain crackled so loudly that it was like a passing street car. It was sure to return, but first there was a brush of fire that was following behind it and barely any room to make another dodge from this attack. Nu had raised her arms, crossing them in front of her body as she took on the flames that hit her directly. They were strong, but her body was durable; she could take it as her regeneration rate was attempting to keep up with this painstaking inferno that engulfed her from sight.
As the block of ice reeled towards the flames seemingly to crash into Nu, the blackened silhouette of the bug girl had seemed to shift and move, but not in agonizing pain, but in slow and prepping movement. The next moment, a hand shot from the flames that stretched to an inhumane length, and that single hand curled into a fist before bursting outward into four more limbs that branched from that one. Two of the limbs reached to the incoming ice cube and each palm impacted the cube of ice, while another and swung around giving it a punch until it slowed and then finally stopped. Last, but not least, there was the fourth and final hand that went straight through the ice cube with a powerful punch and aimed to smash the blue virus in its path.
A counterattack was now in Nu’s agenda.
Nu let out a mighty stump that would almost crack the terrain below her. The flames around her body had become embers as the crunched up ground had toppled the reaching inferno. Nu could hear the sound of the clone within the area having trouble, its body being splattered and faded away, but not because of some overwhelming damage seeing its blubber was thick, but mainly because Nu was about to clear the field like a courtroom session.
The blob girl’s left hand reached outward, patting its chest once...twice...and then with a big and curled fist...a third.
*BAM!!!*
With the slam of her enlarged and bloated fist into her body, Nu’s gelatin-like body became unstable as from almost every inch of her, an unbelievable number of tendrils exited her body as she almost looked like a manipulated porcupine. These thorns of pink flesh had rushed from her body and aimed to pierce every target on the field multiple times; the viruses, the mutated Ric, and even Nu’s interfering interloper who was unwelcome unless some miracle by the Cyber Gods would save her from certain deletion and absorption by Nu’s Mitosis Trap.
However, regardless of that little “bug” in the way, the Scuttle Viruses and Rik were both in for a rush of disastrous data decaying thorns that grew from Nu’s body like bullets released from a gun. _______________________________ “Then we chew ‘em out!” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Optimist” by JinnIC Attire: Default Chatty Ditz: -----

Opera, seeing she had failed, activates her instant self-delete protocol, saving her from assimilation at the cost of being deleted anyway. Granted, for a Navi that's a minor annoyance at best, but it's still a cost.
(Opera.EXE deleted!)
(OOC: Remember, I foreshadowed that ability, so it's not completely out of left field, and I don't think Nu can absorb something that's already deleted. Could be wrong though.)

Nu's sudden attack threw the viral monster off guard, as he had no real way to defend against it. His aura hadn't regenerated yet, and he couldn't focus on enough points to use the method of turning to sand he used earlier either. And there were simply to many to dodge. The scuttle viruses were able to throw up their own individual auras, but none were able to withstand more then one or two tendrils before breaking and allowing the rest to lance through them.
As the three viruses exploded into bursts of data from the attack, Rikaru was also struck by several of the tendrils, unable to effectively block them. As each one pierced into his body, he could feel the effects of them almost immediately, a burning sensation creeped out from each wound slowly spreading through his body.
He remained still. Partially in shock from the attack, and partially because he was trying to prepare his retaliation. His body spasmed slightly as the burning continued, but he ignored it as much he could as he raised a fist and held it out pointing at where Nu stood, and sent forth a horizontal twister of wind almost as wide as himself. Damaging her wasn't the primary idea with this attack so much as trying to push her back, and hopefully taking the tendrils with her, as moving with them sticking through his body was less then a pleasurable experience.

[bgcolor=570041] “If we cannot talk our way through this.” _______________________________ “Amazing...”
Rosetta’s comment was short of breath, and so was Nu, but in the literal sense. Her right hand had become a single limb once more as she had found her attacks to hit their mark. The field was four annoyances less, her body took in the bits of data of her targets that she used to regenerated her body; although it was not enough to completely get rid of that tiring feeling, it was enough to at least speed up the process of recovery. Besides, she felt that her enemy was probably on his last leg with his little flunkies deleted in almost an instant.
*FWOOSH!!!*
An unexpected counterattack, Nu suffered...
The very second her tendrils of her body retracted and she collected the bits of her feast, she had been hit with a gust of air that she could barely brace for. Her arms lifted and crossed before her body; and her eyes narrowed as she was looking through the slicing winds that bombarded her. Her body was heavy, but this was a downfall when she was off-balance and tired, like now, as the blob girl had stumbled back before finally feeling the impact of her fatigue and some klutziness.
*CRASH!!!*
"I don’t know why, but you CANNOT lose!" “Nu-chan!”The large blob girl had fallen back, and her hefty body hit the ground with a slam. The gale forces had pushed her down, dragging her across the ground and digging her body into the terrain until she made a rugged trench. Her damage was not mounting, but it certainly had taken the wind out of her already weakened body since she was trying to recover. With her slow and sluggish movements, her recover as she stood up as slow as she kneeled down to a single knee and let her hands push her up until her body stood and rolling from her curves were chunks of rubble and dust. “She seems okay, but she’s moving slow again,” Rosetta said lowly to herself. Her right thumb had pressed her chin, her signature thinking pose, “She’s trying to focus on recovering her body still.”Nu’s weakness apparent to Rosetta, her enemy was another thing. Within seconds, Nu’s body would reach its optimum strength once again or something only inches towards it, but she needed a little time before she mounted a counter attack. It was something Nu had shown as she brandished a wicked smirk across her face, almost as if she was taunting her opponent. Sure, she was weak when it came to mounting an attack in her current state, but she could take a beating when she was prepared like now. She searched for the mutated Rik to get close and personal, or at least give her a reason to counterattack. She welcomed it![/blockquote] _______________________________ “Then we chew ‘em out!” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Optimist” by JinnIC Attire: Default Chatty Ditz: -----

Rikaru's body was left with several small holes as Nu had retracted her tendrils before his own attack bowled her over. He welcomed their removal, but his healing was no where near the rate of Nu's and it seemed retarded at that by the strange burning he felt inside. His shoulders raised and fell several times, as he was breathing heavy to calm himself and focus. She seemed to be moving slower, and even neglected to strike back yet, when he was sure plenty of time had passed for her to do so.
"Slowing down are we? I guess I will just have to finish things now then won't I?" He summoned forth the trident like spear once more as he began moving forward, his breathing evening out as he closed the distance. The wounds were still visible on his body, but slowly his energy was building up once again, and at just the right time too it seems.
He didn't rush like before, but continued his steady pace, a fast walk, as he gripped his weapon on both hands. Just before he got within reach though, his grip tightened and the head started to glow, pink energy coating the entire spear head as he raised the weapon over his shoulder. And with a powerful lunge, he brought the weapon down with as much strength as he could muster, aiming straight for her head.

[bgcolor=570041] “If we cannot talk our way through this.” _______________________________ "Slowing down are we? I guess I will just have to finish things now then won't I?"
“Here he comes!”
The NetNavi’s pace was not break-neck, but it was not too slow either. If anything, it was Nu’s little taunt he was using, and had she been in worse shape, she would have been insulted. However, she let her naïve “prey” have his moment. She just needed time, but it seemed like, all of the sudden, that time was not on the blob girl’s side with the way her wounds were closing upon her body.
There were scratches and openings that started to meld the pink blob-like flesh slowly as if she was melting together. Her teeth cringed and her fingers twitched as some pink veins shown themselves on her imitation flesh that was becoming a bright body color once more and not the inhumane gelatin shade. She was slowly recovering; her eyes were staring deeply onto that of her soon-to-be attacker. With all the tension, Rosetta had begun to become worried. Troubled that her “monstrous friend” would meet her end.
Then again, who was she to discriminate?
Sure, Nu was being conceited, stubborn, and greedy trying to devour intelligent problems, but what if Rosetta was wrong? What if she was simply attracted to this insane side of the NetNavi that she wanted to abolish? She was not one to be so cold-hearted, but then again, she did not ignore possibility that her wannabe NetNavi program was something vile, something not meant to exist: a maniac cannibalistic program that feasted on others that was now at the mercy of the trident-like spear that was aimed at her head.
“Nu-chan!” her voice cried out, pushing all reason away and reached the ears of the bug, “Don’t get deleted!”
*GARGLE!~*
There was a single chuckle that came from that blob-like body that jiggled upon a full recovery. The fists of the pink program tightened and her body tossed downward and from her back exploded forth with a large lump that came between her main body and the mutated attacker. A clone bulged its upper body from Nu’s chest area and blinded the vision of Rik for a spare second while it seemed to come at him with a surprise attack, but with no planning and careful attack, the clone was split into two and instantly it rained the watery pink substance on Rik as his spear went true to Nu’s head that was no longer...present?
Nu’s body was crouched down on hands and knees and seemed to be decapitated. His spear went to the ground right where Nu’s head would have been as she seemed to be kneeling at best. However, it all became apparent as after a moment of silence, there was a swift pass around the spear in three directions around its form and came from the left, right, and upper area. Nu’s neck had seemed to stretch to a length of a full grown man and multiplied to what seemed like a hydra in myth. Each one had seemed to simply gazed upon the mutated virus with that nasty grin, until they changed the expression and structure of their head completely.
Each head had become furry with a messy doggish mane of hair, clear soulless eyes, and a pointed maw of a mouth. Each of them started to open up their mouths revealing sharp canines, a pink and slender tongue, and not to mention a glowing round pyro ball of flame as they mutated Cerberus of a Spikey virus had looked at Rik from all three directions with swirling balls of flame in their maw that was ready to fire.
“Nu...chan...?”
"I’m sorry, but I’m afraid that this is GOOD-BYE!" “Just...what are you...?” Rosetta had asked lowly at a loss of words, and even more, with a loss of breath as she gasped hearing the sound of the balls of flame that launched themselves from the mutated mouths of Nu with the sound of a whirling missile projectile and no doubt with a trio of explosions that would be like a demolition’s serenade.[/blockquote] _______________________________ “Then we chew ‘em out!” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Optimist” by JinnIC Attire: Default Chatty Ditz: -----

I have now put the bunny back in the box. The bunny being Opera. In fact, considering how little she actually accomplished aside from stretching forum rules, someone needs to come up with a logical way for her to have never been here at all. Someone other than me, because it's been established I suck at writing story elements that make sense.
[Location Change?: Schroedinger's Box]
(OOC: A refresher on what that location is: she's logically required to be somewhere, but I don't care enough to figure out where.)

It went with out saying, that the viral Rik underestimated his opponent, and it would be this fact that would tip the scales in Nu's favor. She seemed to try to intercept his attack with another extended appendage. But it burst upon impact, leaving his swing free to carry through and strike...the ground. Her head was not visible, but she was still there, she had yet to disassemble onto data like most navis when deleted. And the reason was apparent. She wasn't dead yet.
Her counter attack was the last thing he had expected. He had seen her use virus like attacks before, but this was beyond bizarre even for him. Her neck had not only elongated, and then split off to form three heads, but those smirking visages morphed into what appeared to be resembling that of spikey viruses. And as each opened its maw and fired its own ball of flame, he could do nothing but stare at the attack as it was performed.
Each orb found its mark, and exploded in a violent burst of flames, one after another. As the flames died down, the damage was apparent. His chest had several deep cracks in it, and most of his body was scorched. He made no move to retaliate, as even the glowing red orbs for eyes were gone from what was to be his face. Slowly though, the armor and helm that was added to him began dissolving away, much like sand falling off his body, leaving Rikaru standing, if just barely facing Nu.
He was surprised she had won honestly, but then again, she definitely wasn't your run of the mill navi either. He wasn't sure WHAT she was...but that didn't matter to him at the time. Instead he voiced his request.
"...Finish it."

[bgcolor=570041] “If we cannot talk our way through this.” _______________________________ "...Finish it."
With pleasure!
The words were not said, but apparent from the expression upon Nu’s face. The very moment that Nu’s three mutated heads had pulled back from the mounting smoke that had built up from the trio of pyro spheres that made contact, the smoke had begun to part as it brushed off the body of Nu who had returned to her “more acceptable” form. She stood with a pose that was not triumphant in all its show, but more or less slightly irritated as her fingers tapped across her hip and she looked on with her lips twisted, slightly annoyed, but nonetheless satisfied.
“It seems like he’s back to normal, maybe that would do...?”
Nu had to admit, the female had some potent ability with her analytical skills, programming, and resources; but the thing that disgusted her most was how naïve she was. Her comment was not taken to heart, not the least bit to the blob girl who only found favor in one thing: this was shown as the next moment after Rosetta’s comment, the imitative NetNavi symbol on Nu’s chest had sunk into her body as it became a tangible gelatin and her cavity opened up revealing a spherical gel-like orb with a center like a germ’s eye.
Rosetta had seen this many times over when it came to viruses, but she never thought she would see it now in front of a helpless NetNavi and weakened.
“N-Nu,” she had spoken hesitantly as if she knew the outcome, regardless of words, “T-there may be no need for that! He’s back to normal.”
The eyes and body movements of the bug had been unfazed by what the young woman was saying. To Rosetta, it was like watching television now; hopeless that words or cries of reason would change the images that she seen before her. Nu had drawn close to the weakened NetNaiv with her core exposed and a grin upon her face as if she was savoring the moment like a rich and zesty taste. She had stopped a few inches in front of the downed and mutated NetNavi, silent and careful of any sudden action he may take considering Nu had no chance for error with her core exposed like so.
“Nu! We can help him some other way while he’s like this!” the young girl cried aloud , “He’s not a virus! He’s more than just a program! Please, jus-just...just give me a time to think!”
Rosetta’s thoughts raced for a solution. She was a genius, right? She was taking gifted classes in a University in Sharo, she had a perfect score of a four-point-O, and not to mention she had a bank account that shown a great investment in her future. She could have been able to come up with a solution; in her mind, she should have! What was there in a book that had given a solution to divert a program’s actions? To top a heartless extraction of someone helpless? Where was the chapters on “Mercy?”
There was none.
Not in Nu’s book of course who had only one goal: devour, adapt, and learn! Her body had lashed out with multiple tendrils once more that aimed to pierce the body of Rik; one by one, each of the five thick spheres of hardened slime had aimed to hit the wrists, the ankles, and finally one to the neck like an assassin to the carotid artery with the sweeping motion of lifting Rik’s helpless body into the air.
“No! Stop!” Rosetta cried as there was one more shifting movement from the sphere in Nu’s chest.
“Please! Just wait a moment! Let me think! Let me think! Please!” Rosetta’s head shook dramatically while Nu’s core begun to bubble intensely as if it was at a heavy boil.
“Nu! Nooo!”
*SWISH!*
There was a thick blast of the slimy texture that raced forth towards Rik aiming to rip into Rik’s being. It was sticky to the point that any bits of data, remnants, and parts that entangled within it would be stitched into its being as it exploded outwards and would reel itself back to Nu’s core when it had made contact.
There was no need to think more of the little girl’s naïve little prattle and show of mercy now; it would all be over soon for him anyway. _______________________________ “Then we chew ‘em out!” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Optimist” by JinnIC Attire: Default Chatty Ditz: -----

As hard as it was for Rosetta to watch the events unfold, it was ten fold for Rikaru. Even though he knew this was the only way to be sure he could be rid of this problem for ever, it was extremely hard for a navi such as himself, one that strove to make his way and survive at all costs in his life, to willingly be deleted like this. Sure deletion wasn't the end of a navi period usually...but it was never pleasant, and more often then not, they came out changed, if even just a little.
As he watched Nu expose her core, his thought drifted back to just what was she. He had never seen anything like her before, and was wondering just what she was upto. All she had to do was finish him off...it didn't require anything flashy. Just what was she upto?
Instead of worrying too much though, he closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable strike. He wouldn't have to wait long though, and soon tendrils pierced through his ankles and wrists, followed immediately by one that struck his throat. Having accepted his fate, he didn't struggle against the damage, and as he was lifted by the tendrils, his data started to fragment and two cores could be seen through the remaining data of his body. The first was a tealish green, and almost immediately it started to float back away from the rest of the body glowing. The other was crimson red, and remained in place as the body slowly was erased from sight as the data broke down farther. Then Nu's final 'attack' occurred. The strange slime that shot forward ensnared not only the red core, but a large chunk of his decaying body, only to be pulled back and likely absorbed by the strange creature dubbed "Nu".
Now all that remained was the glowing core of Rikaru's data, hovering a meter or two away from Nu, almost as if it had been watching what had happened. The glowing pulsed faster and faster, almost like it was surging with energy and may explode. But a moment later, in a bright flash, the entire core seemed to turn to energy and shot into the sky and vanished.
Silence fell upon the area, as aside from Nu, all that remained was Rik's navi crest laying on the frozen tundra below where the core had been, and next to it a small green mystery data. Proof for her to claim his bounty, and what could be considered part of her payment for the job being completed.

[bgcolor=570041] “If we cannot talk our way through this.” _______________________________ That was somewhat satisfying!
The data that was snatched from the NetNavi was enough to curb some hunger, but that was about it in Nu’s eyes as of now. She twisted her lips slightly in disappointment, but tilted her head in a passive attitude. She figured the “effects” would come into play later, and if anything, her body probably had not completely chewed up and digested the data she had just gotten a hold of. Her hands went to her hips as she approached the Mystery Data and the crest of Rikaru that lay to the ground before her. The data that escaped, being that of the NetNavi’s, was probably no concern of hers. She just wanted that special little “zest” that he had within him.
“No, Nu!” Rosetta cried out as she seen her approach the crest and data, “No more!”
Nu’s eyes? She rolled them.
It was a clear disgust of Rosetta’s beckoning voice as she kicked the NetNavi icon aside of Rik to show just how much she cared for anything of the NetNavi at this point. Her right hand however had went to the spiraling Mystery Data that had been before her, her body pulling it towards her palm, and then both hands reaching around its diamond-like shape as small tendrils of slime pierced its side and begun to access the data.
<Nu ACCESS: Green Mystery Data>
Nu’s eyes gazed towards the contents of the Mystery Data as it was pulled apart, slightly intrigued by the data inside. It seems that the NetNavi left behind some useful data that pertained to his own attack. She had grabbed the special emulation, absorbed it into her body and sighed placing her hands on her hips. She guessed the least she could do was use it as proof that she slain him for the sake of claiming some bounty, but how to go about that was another problem considering it would require being in disguise.
“Nu-chan...you...” Nu’s eyes rolled again, this time, as she turned she could see a video screen of big blue eyes gazing upon her in sadness, “...why are you...I...”
She had no time for this childish prattle and conversation. Truth be told, for some reason, seeing Rosetta made her sick!
She was such a genius, and such a curious mind. However, she had let something hold her back: that kindness! Sure, Nu respected it, and if anything, she adored that the young girl looked past her as some kind of monster, or maybe not now. She could only formulate what she was thinking; probably misunderstanding her in every way possible. She was not some NetNavi, and hostile feelings towards what Nu did and had to do to survive were expected.
No one understood her hunger for knowledge, and that’s just the way things were.
“Nu-chan,” Rosetta beckoned lightly, “You do not have to be this way.”
...well...that was different.
Nu’s eyes had looked upon Rosetta. They were a differing pace: not out of typical disgust, but rather a mixture of rage and anguish; something that was rare. What in the heck did she know about Nu other than her being some pink smiling dunce that had been playing with her feelings? Someone that naïve, was also that weak, something that Nu just plain hated considering that she spent so much of her own time trying to change herself from being some weak bug to a being that contained supreme knowledge, knew every outcome, and predicted every possibility.
Not like this girl; Rosetta, who just made light of knowledge to the point it was useless. For that, Nu pitied Rosetta as she turned her back to the video screen with her face filled with nothing short of that feeling.
“Rosetta,” a gentle, but perky voice came from the body of the bug, “This is good-bye.”
As Rosetta gasped, Nu’s very feet had begun to bubble with the familiar pink substance that was on the terrain around her. Just as quickly, Nu’s body sunk into it like a drop into a deep pool and the liquid seeped into the terrain. “Nu, wait a minute!” Rosetta called out, but just as quickly as she could fathom the bug’s words, Nu was gone.
It was clear she had left the area, and also clear to Rosetta that she possibly lost a friend. She cut the video screen communication and decided that it was best to let go of what had happened: something harder to do as thought. _______________________________ “Then we chew ‘em out!” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Optimist” by JinnIC Attire: Default Chatty Ditz: ----- Location Change (Nu): –N/A-

[glow=white,2,500]*Finally gone from the THING in Aqua Net, Embera materialized in Ural Tundra, embracing the cold with her strange cosmic blend of energies. Still a being of heat, the immediate area thawed out, as she layed and relaxed, yet still perplexed about her decisions. Did she really wish to take up the Destroyer's mantle? She knew it was out of regret and obligation, but part of her began questioning if she would find joy in doing whatever his burden was. She was deep in thought, almost entranced by it, as she still pondered wherever she could locate Scarface.[/glow]

"Brr... It's so cold!" The beautiful young girl in a black and white sailor fuku complained as she ran along the cold tundra, while a fellow, identical in nearly every way but dress, trudged along as fast as his armour would allow it.
"Maybe you should have taken a coat." The twin said, almost mockingly. As he trudged along, his sister noticed a flickering flame off in the distance, and started running for it.
"Look! It's a campfire!" The girl ran along, and sat down next to the abnormally tall campfire, not realizing that it was actually a navi. Her brother slowly followed. Wary, but not sure what the strange fire was.

[glow=white,2,500]*Embera was initially undeterred by the two young child-like navis around her, still locked deep into thought as to her previous musings. It wasn't until she heard the female voice call her a "campfire". Shaking her head she looked cold and dead into the girl's eye, initially cold and unreceptive, but soon imposing, aiming to deter. She only asked one question to the twins before returning to her meditation.*
Embera: What do you think you're doing here?[/glow]

As Ariz approached he took a better look at the 'campfire'. He surveyed the thing quickly, when he realized that it wasn't a campfire. "Aliz! I don't think that's a-"
"Aieee!" Aliz nearly jumped as Embera turned around and began to speak. She had no idea that Embera was a navi. The thought of such strong heat energy emanating from a single entity was impossible in Aliz' mind. It had to be a big scary virus! "Ariz! Get it! Get it! GET IT!"
"Why? She hasn't done anything to us. In fact, I think you should apologize for calling her a campfire" The heavily armoured one, who had now caught up to his sister, said. The other navi's eyes were as cold and imposing as the weather around them, despite her hot exterior. However, the silver haired boy was undeterred, and instead gestured for a handshake. "Hi. I'm Ariz, and this here is my sister Aliz. Nice to meet you."
As Ariz told Aliz to apologize she shrugged, and hid behind him. This navi-virus-whoever-whatever-person-thing was scary, and her glare was the icing on the cake. Aliz shivered and sneezed. The cold weather and Embera's cold glare wasn't helping Aliz' cold at all.
