[glow=white,2,500]*Embera's eyes did not waver. She dismissed the babbling and merely re-affirmed herself.*
Embera: WHAT...are you doing here?
*Embera's stressing of the word "what" foreshadowed not only her distaste for the two runts now in her company, but her irritation at their question dodging.*[/glow]

"Us? We're travellers." said the one in armour, an icy gaze meeting Embera's fiery eyes.
"Yeah! Travellers!" said the one in the skirt lined with black frill. She jumped up and down excitedly. "The question is why are you here?" Aliz hopped side from side, playfully. Even despite the cold, she seemed to be happy and bursting with energy, unlike Ariz, who was as grim and focused as ever. He was never any fun, but now Aliz had another girl, who hopefully be actually cool for once unlike her lame brother. "Hey! Hey nice lady! Wanna play a game with me and my brother!"
"A game?" Her brother mumbled under his breath. A game was not the most appropriate thing to do in the middle of a tundra.

[glow=white,2,500]*Embera shook her head at the two child-like twins before standing up tall. She closed her eyes for a moment, and exhaled before collecting herself. The urge to annihilate them was a flavorful one, but she restrained, mostly due to the destruction of the Square below from the massive flooding.*
Embera: It's none of your business while I'm here. Your lives are intact because I've much to think about. Remember this face, so you know not to cross it again. I'll depart you, Aliz and Ariz.
*Without so much as another word, Embera encased herself in a comet-like shell of ice and fire, before blasting away out of the network.* [/glow]

Merrill appears in a flash of light, followed by Healer and Defender. His memory quite fuzzy, he sat, and started to meditate quietly, a gentle yellow Aura pulsing very faintly from his blue/green/teal armor, as Healer sits on one shoulder, Defender on the other.

Ariz was stunned. It was like Embera's fiery gaze had stared in to his soul, and just shrugged him off like he was nothing. He felt lonely. He always felt lonely. Even in the company of his sister he felt like he was missing something, someone. It was almost as if he were missing a part of himself. Aliz was dancing in the snow, blissfully ignorant of Ariz. And suddenly a flash of light appeared behind her. Startled, she let out a screech, alerting her brother. No longer travelling at a sluggish pace, Ariz rushed Diamond. The armored assailant jumped into the air, and made a hard downwards slash with his glass sword. Whoever this person was better not have hurt his sister.

Merrill's eyes opened as he heard the girl scream. Healer jumped down and moved forward, Defender jumped backwards, getting Merrill's back. Merrill looked around for what the girl was screaming at. Then he noticed Ariz in the air, heading towards him. Merril made a swiping motion in the air with his right hand, and suddenly, a small white light illuminated next to Merrill. His primary weapon, the MZKeyZoth, appeared, and it moved to intercept the incoming attack. Merrill then fell back, doing a one handed backflip, landing on his feet, placing one hand on the hilt of his two-hand sword, the other, infront of him. Healer moved Forward, underneath Ariz, and shot a fireball at him, as she ran forward, making sure to guard the girl.
Merrill's eye's changed, as his golden star and diamond appeared. His piercing gaze stared at the navi who attacked him, waiting to see what he had to say for suddenly attacking him.

"STOOOOOP!"
The girl jumped between Ariz and Merrill, her arms spread wide apart to separate the two navis. Aliz was afraid, all she knew was that Merrill appeared behind her and Ariz started attacking! He was always so edgy... Although Ariz was burned, he tried to not show it. Grimacing, he looked at his sister, then at Diamond. If his sister stopped the fight, why would she scream in the first place? Strange.
"I think there has been a misunderstanding. Come on Aliz, I'm leaving."
Ariz started to walk away, but Aliz stayed, angry at her brother. He wandered a distance away, leaning against the remains of a tree, and looking on from the distance.
"That's my brother Ariz. He's always angry at everything for some reason." Aliz said to the stranger.

Merrill looked at Aliz. He nodded, understanding, keeping an eye on Ariz.
"It's fine. No harm done. I never meant to scare you. I am sorry bout that."
He noted a few details about Ariz and Aliz. He didn'd speak after that, waiting to see what Aliz had to say. Healer returned to his side on his Shoulder.

"Oh? No problem! I just wasn't expecting someone to 'port in! Hehehe! Aliz did a little dance and twirl as she said this, while Ariz simply groaned. He was deep in thought. Embera's gaze...
"I don't think I've introduced myself! I'm Aliz!!!" Aliz pointed at herself to make a point. "Hey, maybe you want to join us on our adventure!? Tehehe!

Merrill looked at Aliz.
"At the moment, I shall decline. I'm Merrill Heckentash, by the way. How does a raincheck sound on that adventure? I have some work to do first, but when I'm complete, I'll be glad to join you!
Merrill gave his email to Aliz, and spoke to Ariz.
"I see you too are a swordsman. Take good care of Aliz. I look forward to testing your swordsmanship myself someday soon."
With that, Merrill waved, and quickly teleported out of the area, headed off to think, Healer hot on his heels.

Why he decided to return to this area to meet this would-be dealer was rather a mystery to the rather plain navi that was Ruin. It was here that he met the face of one he had come to resent, Terra, though honestly it made sense that Ruin would be on the wrong side of Terra's seemingly limited emotions. He did reduce one of his various operatives to a rather notably poor condition. Even still, Ruin had never much cared for the ONB, even less now that it was run by Terra. His previously missing leg was proof of that, and though it had restored itself, it was not an easy process. Still, standing about waiting for the vendor to show up in this cold was rather troublesome, but if Ruin could get his hands on what he thought this person might be selling, it would be worth it for sure.

"Standing around isn't the best way to seek something out you know. But I suppose that's just how you are."
*It was the familiar voice of the armored accomplice that Ruin worked with. For quite some time even, uncommon as that was among people who were into the darker dealings. Ruin had become a lot more destructive, but he was still pretty useful sometimes when it came down to it. Hit or miss really. Xion walked up to his companion, not that far from him as he had been searching around himself. He was a little surprised that Ruin took interest in this, though he supposed that made sense too if he considered what Ruin did with most of the Dark Chips he got his hands on. He hadn't seen much of the navi since he had gotten himself blown apart by that Titan, amusingly now that he looked back on it now. He should probably see if those guys were alright without his guidance. He figured they had enough free will to take care of themselves without a governor to govern their every action... but then he could be wrong. That could wait. He had more important things to see to, like that message. If it was true then it would offer something that was pretty difficult to get one's hands on in return.*

"Perhaps so. I was wondering if you would show up as well. I had figured that you wouldn't pass up this opportunity so easily. So tell me, how has the Chaotic been doing in my absence?"
Ruin crossed his arms as he waited continually for the one who would appear. Though it may be helpful to wander, should the vendor of sorts be moving as well, it could prove impossible to meet them. At the very least, this place was both isolated and flat enough to see rather far into the horizon, but still be a place that others did not often frequent. It was a good place for this kind of dealing, another customer being here was simply icing on the cake, and it being Xion no less. He had taken some time to recover after both his incident with Terra and being destroyed by the other creature, but he was ready to get back into the game here. Eager even.

"Passing this up would be bad, even for me with my track record so far. But we are The Chaotic after all. Just like us, they have a habit of disappearing off and on ever since we started to lay low."
*He shrugged his shoulders at the end of his rather small update. He could understand Ruin's reasoning this time around. Xion did have a few prospects in mind if nothing else like he was told to do. But he wanted to see a bit more of them. Not to mention maintaining contact with some of their members was a bit difficult. It was understandable in the case of their leader, but then even he had his ways of getting in touch with him. But since it was Toxin he just assumed he was fine by default. There wasn't much that could get to him after all.*

"...low... low... low... owe... owe...?"
The overcast skies boil above, tearing their way across the upper surface of the net parallel to the nearby mountains as they perpetually do... Flurries spin 'round, spin up, down again, get caught along the ground or in a nearby scrubby tree that giggles and wavers and keeps echoing "owe? owe? owe?" in a thousand different tiny voices that seem to find the idea far too funny, and the horizon keeps its ceaseless haze of snow...
The tree was talking. The tree becomes no longer a tree but instead a solid shadow, and the next one too, and the next, the next, the next, and on and on until a shaky line of tenebrous things leads to the next nearest copse set low amid a depression in the land.
The shadows laugh.
The shadows linger.
