The Pink Lord made his orders rather clear, and somehow ambiguous at the same time. "Go, conquer and destroy in my name."
Still playing the role of the loyal fanatic, Vanguard ran from one side of the net to the other, grabbing a hold of whatever Navi came in his way and - attempting - to put them down. It didn't always go well - but, he'd learned from it, and grown thanks to it. Patience and power are attributes tempered in battle - iron sharpens iron, after all.
He had hopes of finding a new victim. At this point, he wasn't doing it for the sake of following the Pink Lord's orders as so much as he was for the power it gave him. The pink halo floating over his head was a painful reminder to when Juno had to intervene in his first mission - completely humiliating, that was. But, a necessity, because he didn't fail. Vanguard didn't want to think about what might happen if he failed - testing the Pink Lord's mercy wasn't on his bucket list.
What was on his bucket list, though, was dealing with that girl he was following. Sticking to the shadows, he had no way of knowing if she was aware of him - but, she definitely wasn't like other Navis he'd met, before. She was connected to some Net OP - at least, that's who he assumed she was talking to. Otherwise, well, he was stalking a crazy woman.
Then again . . .
He waited until she rounded a corner in the net, and quickly darted forward to put himself in between her and the other end of the walk way. Grinning at her, he raised his flaming hands and cracked his knuckles, aiming for a rise of fear out of her.
"I put a lot of effort into hunting you down, girlie," he mused, stretching his hands out, cocking his head to the side to crack his neck. "Nothing personal, of course, but, what you just happened to be the most available target. "And, by the way, just who are you talking to?" he asked, glancing up. He didn't know exactly how those PETs worked, but, he wanted the guy to see his face. "He won't be too hurt if I attempt to delete you, will he? At least, definitely not at me - he has Juno to thank for what's about to happen," he teased. He felt more than saw the pink halo over his head flickering about in response, like it was agreeing with him.
He just wanted the darn thing to go away. She'd at least serve as a distraction.

This was not good…
Even as this stranger was talking to the female, she was talking! Quick words were exchanged between herself and the young Net Operator that she put her faith in. He always knew what to do in these kind of situations. However, even now, she was unsure of herself confronted with this situation! The NetNavi before her seemed almost oblivious in just what he was doing and how this had gone on with his ignorance! Surely, he must have known! How could he not know what kind of ordeal he harbored just standing here before her so nonchalant about just what he was doing!
“Xen-kun! I must!”
She had taken a strong stance before the NetNavi that confronted her. Of course she was not just going to sat idly by and let things be this way. The female NetNavi raised her right hand as she gathered her courage! Xenneth, as usual, was probably just trying to spare her the pain of having to go through this. After all, not a lot of people liked when she butted in with her concern about their life. With one swipe of her hand through the air, Megami gestured a strong index of her right hand to the NetNavi.
“Excuse me, sir!” she gathered her breath and cried, “BUT YOUR HANDS ARE ON FIRE AND THEY ARE MAKING THE EXTREMELY UNCREAKY SOUNDS INDICATING THEY ARE BROKEN! I AM SORRY YOU COULD NOT FIND ME SOONER, BUT YOU REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION! IMMEDIATELY!!!”
…a silence came between herself and Xenneth.
“That’s…not what I meant!!!”
Megami had always been like this.
The female NetNavi had lost all notion and sense of what it meant to be in the UnderNet. It was simply supposed to be a small request from the Officials that required NetBattlers to gather information from nearby thugs and NetNavis about this Juno entity, but it turned into a full-on trek into the outer areas of the regular network. No matter how much he pleaded and begged for her to simply stay away from this area, she still walked in insisting that there were “nice people everywhere!”
Sure, he could understand that, but why not her?
The duo clearly had been so busy going back and forth about their spat about why they should not talk to this NetNavi and run that they missed the entire parts about what he was up to and who sent him. All Megami knew when he had appeared was that she was his “target” and he had flaming hands that were cracking and creaking! Last time she heard such a terrible sound, Xenneth was twisting and crying about not getting up from bed because the girls at school gave him something known as a “swirly” and made sure they gave each limb a pull while they were holding him.
He was only thankful that, as a friend, Megami did not understand just how terrible that all sounded as a story.
“Sir, come with me!” Megami insisted, “I am sure we can find you a proper expert to help put the fire out of your hands…and someone to work on your frame. Xen-kun goes to someone called a “Chiropractor” when that happens. Do NetNavis get aid from those on the net…or maybe…a special NetNavi that repairs NetNavi Bones? Also…are bones something within NetNavis?”
Megami seemed to be talking to no one but herself in particular as she drifted into thought, poking herself and paying attention to her skin. Still, she was a young program and fascinated with her very own body and how it work in relation to a human.
This left Xenneth with the usual disappointment, and her oblivious that she had an enemy that-
…well, only he could speak for himself about just how strange this one was.
