"The client wants you to... facillitate the movement of the materials." Joseph spoke to his navi. His face was shrouded in darkness, as usual, as he gave his orders to his tool. "They have specific instructions."
----
The net train made a light whining noise as it picked up some passengers, dropping them other passengers off. All was well and good, and the cargo area of the train remained untouched. Inside, a group of navis sat on top of a large number of goods.
"Think this shipment will go as easily as the others did?" Asked the first normal navi.
"As long as you keep your mouth shut, yeah." Hissed a second. The third and final normal navi remained silent.
----
"Facilitate?"
----
The train started to take off from its port, and just as it got moving, there was a sudden crash with the sound of screaming. Busters fired inside the train as two passengers, both purple navis of the undernet, ran through the cars toward the back of the train, threatening to delete anyone in their way. They were heading for the cargo room. A third navi had the conducting program at busterpoint, and a fourth was protecting him.
A transmission came from the train, echoing throughout the area to both civilians and law enforcement.
The words were confident and ominous.

"Here's the mission details, don't disappoint me. I have work to do, so you'll be on your own for this."
Longinus gave a slow nod, looking over the data file his operator had just uploaded for him to view. It wasn't anything particularly difficult, and was just the sort of thing he was designed for... so why did he feel so apprehensive about this mission?
He looked at his left arm, and the pulsating power within the cannon that his frame was built around. A tool. He was indeed, a tool, and a powerful one. His misgivings should be set aside for his purporse: to strike at the heart of his enemies in one fell blow.
Part of what made Longinus such a unique navi was that, unlike other navis (and even other mercenaries) he lacked an emotional bond between his combat and his thoughts. His duty and job was completely removed from his personal feelings, if one could call them that, and it allowed him to go to much deeper depths of action than any other navi like him could. He had no motive, no greed, no pain, no fear, just pure accomplishment. It was the ideology of a powerful tool.
And he was.
---
The three green normal navis in the cargo room jumped in surprise at the announcement, looking wide-eyed at eachother as they heard a banging on the door. They could see two normal navis there, who had begun hacking the program lock between the cargo and the passenger sections.
Their feet clattered as they jumped behind several boxes in fright.
"I thought you said the police wouldn't notice it!" One navi said, hissing to the navi to his left. He was visibly upset now, not expecting any sort of combat.
"These guys aren't police." Said the other navi in response "I don't know who they are!"
"This is bad... this is bad..."
The quiet, third navi crouched down, holding his arms across his legs. He didn't get into this for the combat, in fact, the reason he had to resort to methods like this was because he was so bad at combat: he could barely bust a mettaur! He was just trying to make some extra zenny for his operator... Oh jeez. His operator. If she found out what he was doing on his spare time, thinking that he was out virus busting... right now the thought of virus busting seemed downright romantic compared to this.

"Target is five minutes from arrival. Once in range, a successful cross-fire strike from mounted viruses and the TVC-15 "Longinus" Wave Cannon will render the train immobile. If necessary, a second shot can destroy the cargo to prevent it from being stolen once the train has stopped." Longinus muttered to himself, keeping a mission log of the events. He stood far along the tracks, mounted on a long straightaway, after several turns. He was far enough away that he couldn't even hear the train yet, and wouldn't for some time, but once he came into view, one shot would stop the train.
The mercenary navi dug his heels into the tracks beneath him, spikes shooting from his legs into the net as he steadied himself, locking into place. The Crash Shield materialized in his right arm, covering his whole left side with its sheer size, as his left arm straightened, the cannon barrel attaching itself and extending forward while the radiator fins on his back spread out to better dissipate the heat generated by the charge. Coils of electricity began to glow and a light buzzing noise accompanied them, sparks shooting out from his sides. The cannon's fairing moved into place, extending to cover the barrel as shielding from both the energy and any incoming attacks. Lastly, a sight extended from the cannon and attached itself to his helmet, two cords extending backward to plug into his head. He now had a close-in scope of the region, and a constant outlay of data.
It was technology porn, really.
"Charging sequence initiated. Begin regional energy grounding now." The area around him shuddered as electricity began to flow from the net, up his spikes, and into the cannon's firing mechanism on his back. This prevented the charge's power from overwhelming the navi that was built around it. "Charging rate at 97.5% efficiency, energy levels rising."
Longinus moved the cannon's barrel slightly, adjusting its aim squarely over the path of the tracks. "Like shooting fish in a barrel."

We have taken command of this train, its civilians, and its cargo. We know what is on board. We demand a ransom, you have 30 seconds to make an offer, or we will release the cargo on the civilians.
