How... convenient. Access to a wasteland for which stories about were told at night and with the intent of leaving others to sleep with thoughts that would leave them sleepless.
A girl willing to follow someone possibly to the depths of Hell and then back. He had heard those words before. He had heard them from many others. That said, what was he to make of it? With so many others in the past having said words of similar meaning, stating promises and swearing valiant oaths, it almost felt as if he were living in some twisted game. It was almost as if the ones who were saying this were mere avatars of people who knew themselves to emerge safe from this game, even if their avatars may indeed perish.
Ah, but who was he to judge? It certainly was not in his place to judge. He was no less guilty himself. He knew that he too was in search of someone. Someone whom he last saw six years ago... when they were still alive.
The Navi mused to himself somewhat, perhaps in more doubt of himself as he looked back in retrospect to earlier days. Even if He was really alive, and he found It, Its existence was already illicit to begin with. His own existence was barely within legal boundaries itself, but the other was surely considered a 'criminal' now, if he still existed, if he still remained animate. The government never much liked either of them to begin with. Only two others really seemed to understand him at all, though he had no evidence that either of them were alive.
Still, the Navi took a subtle interest in what would take place between the two Navis in argument in front of him. Would there be that classic story of attempting to hold someone back? Would both of them run into the land of the fallen that headfirst or perhaps even naïvely? Still, he stood facing the opening of the boundary between life and death, making no detectable movement of his own.

[bgcolor=black]It was his plan to access the Undernet. His plan wasn't going very well. Static had misjudged the more mysterious one's intentions and had moved too hastily, only when he had entered the other's line of sight had he realized that the Navi hadn't quite left yet.
"Hmm."
Static's white cloak flowed gently behind him as he walked further outward into the dark park, and it dawned upon him that there were more than just the mysterious one. There was one, a girl, who looked completely improperly dressed in what could be likened to a green one-piece bikini and towel, while there was another, a weaker looking man who looked slightly shady, which made the girl look even more displaced or lost in comparison.
Static made the decision to approach the two, deciding to leave the portal alone until he found out the reason for the odd pair's being there, as the more mysterious looking one seemed less out of placed and therefore less interesting. As he approached the red glow emitted from his eyes played oddly with the subtle blue illumination emitted by the weak looking one's hat, or to be more precise, the quill attached to the hat.
Static pointed one end of his golden yellow, dual pointed spear at the two, and calmly stated "Hello."

“I still long for you, No matter where you are.” _______________________________ Megami was stubborn, and that went without saying.
However, that was the sort of fuel that the young violet haired boy brought to her fire. She was not very logical or rational about the subject whenever it just involved that one name: Xenneth. Ever since she had gained some self-realization as a NetNavi, all the interest was set upon him; so much so, she defied the aspect of simple digits of zeros and ones. She had no idea of this herself seeing that she had simply known nothing to the nature of human beings or even a NetNavi. How could she? She was made without limits and controls in order to obtain some sort of “enlightenment” of being peaceful and having a true heart. She had done that and much more.
“I remember now,” she had breathed refreshingly with her index finger gesturing towards the NetNavi, “Your name was Chanceman, yes?”
Megami had spoken remembering a name and the proceeding just after learning it. It was a hectic endeavor that was brought on by some bothersome feelings of mistreatment that she felt she had some endeavor in when remembering what broke out at the Tundra. It was hectic, but she only knew she did not want a repeat just because she lost control of her emotions. All she could remember was a strong dislike of making Xenneth pay for her faulty behavior of losing one of her potent bracelets.
“T appreciate this dearly,” she had said, “But I am very sorry. He is-”
Something disturbing? A threatening aura?
Megami was disturbed by the sudden feeling as if something was completely wrong in the world. Her eyes had come to life as the large blue orbs had gone from Chanceman to the mysterious NetNavi that had approached them? How could she be so careless? Looking at her situation now, she was trying to speak to the NetNavi before her trying to explain her position while retaining patience, and now she was on the receiving end of a weapon as she looked at this figure before her seeing the red eyes that were behind the point of the spear and a simple word given, a greeting. However, regardless, she could not overlook the threatening weapon that was brandished as security of her being overlooked her naïve nature.
She could not perish; not until she put an effort into helping Xenneth. That was her ultimate cause at the moment.
“What is the meaning of this?” Megami had asked the menacing NetNavi. _______________________________ “We look for each other, and that’s what matters.” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Toes“ by LightsIC Attire: Greener on this Side!Chatty Ditz: -----

STATIC: "Hello."
MEGAMI: "What is the meaning of this?"
The silent Navi could sense animosity in the air. The scene had transitioned to something much more hostile; behind him there was a weapon brandished, even if not pointed at him, this entire ridiculous spectacle before what could be considered this world's gates of Hell. For all any of them knew, some god-like entity could emerge from those depths hungering for morsels, and this infighting would lead to a quick, easy victory for the thing.
A cool wind could be felt through the area, as if a hint, a warning to a storm yet to come. Some of the nearby lanterns even begin to darken, as if dimmed and put out by an unknown presence.
A calm, yet raspy voice could be heard all throughout the area suddenly, as if an omnipresent being were addressing the Navi who had brandished his spear.
UNKNOWN: "Navi who still retains the breath of life, stay your blade at once."

[bgcolor=black]"What is the meaning of this?"
So the girl wasn't just bad at nighttime fashion sense, she seemed plain bad at communication too. Perhaps she was newly programmed.
"Hello is typically used as a greeting in most English speaking countries." His voice was not harsh, nor threatening. It was not condescending either, at most it was friendly, or as friendly as one could seem pointing a large weapon at the person he was speaking to. Static let out a light chuckle, then continued. "Don't you find it odd that the English language is called that? I mean there's no Englitopi-"
"Navi who still retains the breath of life, stay your blade at once." Another navi had spoken. The world seemed to get darker as it spoke, whatever it was. Angry, Static answered.
"I don't take orders from anybody." It was cold and harsh. The voice was louder, and audible white noise was behind his breath. Static kept his sentences short as usual, not wanting to indulge as to why he was so ticked at a simple order.
"But if you feel more comfortable,"
With a flick of his wrist the spear was twirling in the air, and then landed and embedded itself into the ground, slight cracks in the cobble where it had landed.
"Please state your name and your reason for being here. Both of you. And. . .
...
I never intended to hurt you, you realize that right?"

STATIC: "Please state your name and your reason for being here. Both of you. And. . .
...
I never intended to hurt you, you realize that right?"
** Pointing a spear at someone sans killing intent? How... fascinating. The Navi almost seemed to scoff a bit, but underneath the hood of black a pair of golden irises seemed to stare out, focused directly on Static. It almost seemed like the being was smiling somewhat, though perhaps in a way that may be better off left unseen. **
SILENCE: "Silence. Silence is the name given to me."
** Then abruptly Silence appeared to vanish, before appearing again in front of Static's face, his fingers in a beckoning motion underneath Static's chin, though with no seeming intent to touching Static. A slight glimpse of a disturbed, jagged-looking grin could be seen underneath the hood beneath those two yellow eyes. **
SILENCE: "Now, would you do me the favor of telling me... yours?"
** His speech was suddenly less uninterested, perhaps unfortunately. Something seemed outright wrong with this character, as if he were insane, a two-faced personality that seemed to know no bounds. His speech was now with a lower voice, more raspy and wraith-like than before, complete with small, suppress cackles around his sentences. Even being within his proximity there was a deadening scent that lingered, as if he were a corpse reanimated by some external force. Perhaps it may have been better not to have attracted his attention... **

“I still long for you, No matter where you are.” _______________________________ “I never intended to hurt you, you realize that right?"
“No.” Megami said that bluntly, removed, and with no perspective on it being a “normal” response.
It was pure honesty, and she knew no other way to act in spite of the situation and her own persona that tells her to be “justified.” The question had demanded what was an honest response: there was actual anxiety, actual confusion, and some actual terror that she would not be well be able to see Xenneth again. It seemed distressing that everyone had seemed to be aggressive towards her about her decisions: either that of entering the portal or...whatever this NetNavi had against her that she could not figure out even with the help of her lost Net Operator.
The strange cloaked NetNavi had seemed to convince the NetNavi with words in order to stop his provocations and Megami with his display of speed to stop standing still. She jumped back a very slight distance out of a fearful reaction rather than some sort of battle fierce action. She was off guard without her precious Net Operator to assist her, and her power greatly limited to some extent. Megami stared at the NetNavi questioning the other to some extent seeming to be startled.
“Now, would you do me the favor of telling me... yours?"
Of course he was not talking to Megami, but still, she needed to know things.
“My name given to me is Megami.EXE,” she had responded talking to the mysterious NetNavi, removed from the red-eyed one’s confrontation with him, “Please, I really would like to know what beyond is that portal is such a forbidden place.” her eye sight going to Chanceman with a slide of her blue irises. She was talking to the mysterious NetNavi still, but she was showing the same arrogant interest in it regardless of the warnings Chanceman presented.
She would not let anyone stand in her way of seeking the truth; especially if it would lead to Xenneth. _______________________________ “We look for each other, and that’s what matters.” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Toes“ by LightsIC Attire: Greener on this Side!Chatty Ditz: -----

Unbeknownst to the navis below, a pool of blood was forming on a wall very near to them. It was almost as if it was seeping through the wall itself. From said pool of blood, a voice emanated.
"No intention of hurting them you say? And yet you seem to be rather quick to arm yourself. If You truly had no intention of harming them, then you would have come unarmed, or at least with your weapon sheathed, would you not?"
If there was one thing the being that was now speaking to them hated more than Jinko, it was a liar.
"So, if you still claim to have no intention of hurting anyone at the moment, you would do well to sheath your weapon."

MEGAMI: “Please, I really would like to know what beyond is that portal is such a forbidden place.”
..."Forbidden" was an interesting adjective to be using here. It was a very relative term, yet it carried so much weight, so much stigma to it. It was perhaps ironic too that the very place that that girl described was only made that way because of its history and its original intent. That said, if anything it was where 'forbidden' actions were more... allowed. Still, Silence felt no reason to dance around such a subject. One of his eyes appeared to roll backwards, as if to face Megami, yet one kept locked onto the spear-wielding Navi. The raspy, slightly chuckling voice could be heard again, speaking the same slow, deliberate manner that he did before.
SILENCE: "You look at the boundary between this world of perpetual evening and a lawless land run by the dead and those who were exiled there. You look... at the Undernet.
The last few words were said with a slow, twisted-looking grin that came across Silence's face. That said, under his hood it remained impossible to see him, especially underneath that dishevelled white hair. Still, the thought that one of his eyes were rolled back to face Megami and the other continuing facing at Static was a somewhat strange scene, especially while he still had a twitchy, disturbed grin plastered on his face to finish it.

"My name is Static." His voice was still calm, and he didn't flinch as the other navi appeared before him, although his hand was now steadily resting on his spear.
"Now I suggest you back off, Silence, I feel as if my space is invaded. By you. Right now." His voiced crackled again, more white noise behind it, and was louder. His voice was angry, betraying his much more calm appearance. His spear crackled slightly with sparks at both tips. One more-
"No intention of hurting them you say? And yet you seem to be rather quick to arm yourself. If You truly had no intention of harming them, then you would have come unarmed, or at least with your weapon sheathed, would you not?"
The sparks grew larger, and more frequent. Who, for the love of Duo, did this person think they were? Did they see a sheath on his person? Static truly wouldn't hurt someone so simply. did the new one think he was insane!? Static turned around, ignoring Silence and walking toward the new navi.
Static held his spear aside, as he walked intimidatingly, looking at the new one. The other's sharp teeth glinted off the red glow of Static's eyes as he talked. The fanged one's red velvet cloak had it's colour intensified also by the glow, making it into a bright reddish colour up close. Static took a quick mental note of the other's guns, and crossed his arms, not at all hindered by his spear.
"So, if you still claim to have no intention of hurting anyone at the moment, you would do well to sheath your weapon."
Cutting off the vampire's speech slightly, Static started speaking, uncrossing his arms as he did so. "I don't necessarily need a weapon-" Static threw his spear roughly a meter aside. It landed with a clang, adding effect to Static's words. "-and I'm just as deadly without one-" Static's voice was again louder, a crackle and hiss beneath his every breath. His hands began to spark, just as his spear was before. "-but that doesn't mean I'm a killer. I'm no maniac!" Static chuckled lightly at his last words. It was a friendly chuckle, no anger in it, free of any noise. But then-
Spark-
Crackle-
Hiss-
The sparks in his hand formed a small bubble and moved lazily toward Shade, stopping just short of his body, but close enough to singe his cloak.
"And you would do well not to order me around again." His voice was cold as night, and clear, free of anger induced distortion. It was a threat, simple and harsh.

“I still long for you, No matter where you are.” _______________________________ "You look at the boundary between this world of perpetual evening and a lawless land run by the dead and those who were exiled there. You look... at the Undernet.”
“Un-der-net...?”
Megami repeating the term to herself like she was a young child trying to grasp meaning. She stared towards the distant dark void once more, only turning a cheek to see the arriving NetNavi, and almost completely ignoring him seeing that he was being more formal to the aggressive NetNavi. Honestly, Megami seen them as a distraction from her goal at the moment rather than any significant help. She was not very interested in their fights or arguments, and wanted to distance herself from hostility as much as possible. This was made apparent with a step to her left side and a step forth when none of the NetNavis was blocking her view and the cloak of Silence was to her right.
Megami did not think much on his trust, but he had answered her questions while Chanceman was interested in nothing more than telling her what her interests were. Something that was vile to her at the moment since her interest was in nothing more than purely trying to get answers to this disaster that connected to CreamLand. She wanted to find that vile being or some sort of data that the Official Netbattlers could use to take action. If she can help them, find some way to improve their chances, she could restore the network and guarantee Xenneth’s safe return.
Xenneth would have to return to Electopia then, safe and sound; he just had to!
A plan was brewing in her mind...
“-you still claim to have no intention of hurting anyone-”
...about seeing his face-
“I don't necessarily need a weapon-”
...but first thing’s first she had-
“ "-and I'm just as deadly without one-"”
...to stop this senseless violence!
“ "And you would do well not to order me around again."”
“Please! Be silent!!!” Megami’s cry almost boomed like thunder at that moment.
Her peace was shaken, and her eyes were filled with a darkness that was never there before. Her emotions were always so calm and so settled when her best friend was around. However, now, without him there to comfort her and giving her a purpose to live, she felt broken and divided. He was not there to need her comfort and love, he was not there to inspire her with his talk of justice amongst friends and family, and he was not there to be a team with her. It was only Megami, and now staring at the portal and the group of NetNavis, she had lowered her head in partial shame.
She was sure now that her emotions could not function correctly without Xenneth.
“My apologies,,” Megami spoke up turning to the group and then back to the mysterious NetNavi, Silence. “..but that portal. I want to go...now. In that land, is there something that can save this world? Is there something there that may be able to prevent this world’s destruction at the hands of its tormentor?” Megami said as her voice risen and her determination with it as she addressed silence. “Something that vile of origin must have ties to that land you call the Undernet, would it not? And those ties could very well be a key to stopping this madness, yes?”
Megami was adamant in demeanor and voice. Stern and true, fear seemed to have not existed when it came to her adoration of her Net Operator in distress. _______________________________ “We look for each other, and that’s what matters.” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Toes“ by LightsIC Attire: Greener on this Side!Chatty Ditz: -----

(( Since it's obvious who's writing THIS post at least, I'll revert to my actual RP style. ^_^;
For the uninformed: Uranet is the name of the UnderNet in the Japanese version of the EXE games. ))
Static.EXE: "Now I suggest you back off, Silence, I feel as if my space is invaded. By you. Right now."
Too late--Static moved first. The grin appeared to contort into a smirk, a slightly condescending one, as if the Navi were laughing to himself as he watched the scene that had played out in front of him.
Static.EXE: "-but that doesn't mean I'm a killer. I'm no maniac!"
Showing off again... There stood your prime example of why the Uranet was originally sealed away, as well as why it was sealed years ago once more. So be it; the mysterious Navi knew that he dealt specifically with fallen Navis, so another death, another deletion, would only be beneficial, even if it was one of little to no merit. His eyes rolled back to their normal position, and his neck appeared to snap back into place, as if he were the result of a mistake from a laboratory experiment.
Megami.EXE: "Please! Be silent!!!"
...Considering that this world represented a perpetual night, it was rather deplorable that none of the Navis here appeared to realize such an obvious fact. A raspy chuckle could be heard, followed by a slightly uninterested-sounding sigh.
Megami.EXE: "My apologies... ...but that portal. I want to go...now. In that land, is there something that can save this world? Is there something there that may be able to prevent this world’s destruction at the hands of its tormentor? Something that vile of origin must have ties to that land you call the Undernet, would it not? And those ties could very well be a key to stopping this madness, yes?"
The Uranet? A place of salvation? The only recorded weapon to truly rest there was the Giga Freeze program, which proved to be of little use, unless the intent was to destroy the real world be freezing this one, thereby nullifying all of those ubiquitous technologies now rampant throughout the world. That said, it has been several years...
Silence.EXE: "It has been many years since anyone could last enter the Uranet. You would do better to trust your senses than to listen to someone who all too conveniently appeared at its entrance."
As Silence said "trust your senses," a thin hand appeared underneath that cloak, pointing towards the gates. The arm itself had a malnourished appearance to it, being completely pale and shriveled as if from a corpse. A very faint insignia with an N and two arcs on its side could barely be seen, but it was so faint that it almost appeared to simply be the result of diseased flesh. Another disturbed-looking grin could be seen underneath his hood again, as if he looked forward to visiting such a land again, a land that he seemed to almost recognise as home.

"Many years, eh? Sounds like it'll be nice and quiet."
In fact, it seemed like the perfect place for him to train for a bit. Sending one of his familiars to retrieve his coffin, he sat, and watched the others.
"So, Anyone else willing to venture in with me? Or am I on my own in there?"

...Nice and quiet? Those sounded like the words of a greenhorn, fresh and perhaps too idealistic in their perception of their surroundings. Still, this was not Silence's problem per se. The only 'problem' might be figuring out what to do with his data when he would inevitably be deleted, though even so, the wraith-like Navi thought it more or less just something he would have the opportunity to learn on his own. Instead, the Navi looked up at the gate, holding his hand up and suddenly appearing to draw energy in from the gate itself, as if to beckon for it to prepare for his passage. A strong wind could be felt all over the entire area, slowly putting out some of the nearby lampposts. Silence's own hand appeared to look even more diseased, appearing to decay further and even disintegrate, the usual twisted, sickeningly happy grin visible now more so than ever before; yet, there was no noise. There were no chuckles, no cries of agony -- there was only silence as this whole ordeal drew out.

“I still long for you, No matter where you are.” _______________________________ There was flickering lights, dim scenery that last for a second, and radiance that was like fireworks to Megami as she simply sat in silence and watch.
The Night area to her was cast in darkness for only intervals of seconds by the NetNavi’s display, and she was nothing short of fascinated. However, she was looking for an answer. Megami could see all around here, wondering if the NetNavi was doing something to harm anyone, but she had erased the thought from her mind in mere milliseconds just by thinking about one thing that mattered to her: Xenneth! To her, and in her eyes, whatever he was doing was to try and assist Xenneth and it was okay in her mind as she banished the thought of all else and paid attention to simply the portal and the NetNavi.
By the time the mysterious NetNavi, Silence, had been done. Megami was staring towards him with those big blue eyes that beckoned for an answer. She was forever curious unless the NetNavi had spoken on what the display meant and what did he do to the portal. Did he allow her permit? Did he somehow do something to the area? Whatever it was, she wanted to know if possibly he was being of some help to achieve her goal as she had no words, but only that expression on her face and hands clasped together that pleaded for an answer.
She was not concerned about taking anyone else into that dreadful place, but to toss herself into the darkness and dare find an answer in helping her find her loved one. _______________________________ “We look for each other, and that’s what matters.” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Toes“ by LightsIC Attire: Greener on this Side!Chatty Ditz: I know it's short and doesn't have much, but I'm very sleepy.
