A city, bathed in a chalky white. A city square, beautiful and organic. A fountain, shimmering beautifully.
These were the things that would describe the battle that -Unbeknownst to Finale- was about to unfold. As Finale watched the fountain from a rustic bench, something happened that set him off, whatever that something might be. . .

A strange glimmer in the sky flashed for a second, above the fountain, before vanishing. About a second or two later, the fountain literally seemed to just implode on itself right infront of Finale, sending water and debris at him and in every direction.
A strange mist bathed the air now, but it didn't clear up exactly, although it could still be seen through. The cool of the mist rejuvenated the tranquil atmosphere that the fountain once gave off, but through the humid air an interesting silhouette could be seen standing at where the center of the fountain would have been. It seemed to radiate light, so much so that small rainbows could be seen reflecting off of the mist -- but the shape of the figure spelled darkness with its demonic wings, spiked armor, and peculiar helmet that seemed to have red glowing eyes.
This was the one to blame for the destruction of the fountain -- having been in the sky just moments before, he dropped to the ground at unthinkable speeds, crushing the structure entirely beyond repair. The navi slowly walked toward Finale -- his appearance slowly becoming more visible as he got closer.
" ... I need you to help me find somebody."
His voice was a blend of clear and sharp, mixed with distorted and coarse. It was almost as if two voices spoke at once, one normal and the other with some sinister, evil tone added to it. The navi, primarily in purple armor that had red trims, held up a strange spear to Finale's neck, as if demanding an answer.
" A navi clad in gold with brown hair and ridiculous visors. Seen him?"
No further words were spoken as Wyvern awaited Finale's response. His own eyes were covered, but the red gaze of his 'helmet' seemed to peer into his very soul, almost as if they could tell whether he told the truth or not.

((Battle start!))
Finale raised an eyebrow at the strange monstrosity and it's entrance -which also left his hair very wet and his attitude very annoyed-
"Yeah, he's just over there trying to hook up with a she-navi, go investogate."
He had never heard of a navi like that, save Remnant, but he hadn't seen Remnant in a long, long time.
"Oh, and put that stupid spear down, it's annoying."
Just turn your head. . . Finale thought as he balled up a fist, and you'll get what's coming for ya. If this stupid purple navi dropped his guard for even a second he'd get a fist in the back of his head.

[bgcolor=23232a] ((I'm down with UFA judging then. Best of luck, bud!))
" ... Typical."
This navi served his purpose. Ignoring the rest of what Finale said, Wyvern turned to see where he had directed him but saw nothing there. Before he had time to notice the prank, he felt a familiar surge inside of him, warning him of an oncoming attack. Nothing in sight, though, and no one was around to attack him except for -- TINK!
He actually felt the punch, through the back of his helmet. Most navii aren't able to inflict any sort of pain to Wyvern like that, so he was sort of impressed as he stumbled forward a little bit, only to catch his fall with his leg and turn around swiftly as an angry expression came across his face.
" Cheap shot you little..."
Strange... despite the fear that the eyes of his helmet were intended to induce, this navi was actually able to resist that fear and was ready to fight back. Wyvern stood upright and shoved Finale back as he gripped his spear tightly. Nothing devastating -- just enough of a push to cause the navi to step back a foot.
"... I'll ask you one more time..."
In a swift, flawless motion, Wyvern pointed the spear back at the Finale's throat, threatening him yet again. Deceitfully, he made it only seem as if his intentions were the same as before.
"... Where's Warrior?!"

"Warrior? Hahaha! That loser is probably too busy being a noob to even pose a threat!"
Finale ignored the enemy's battle gear completely. Being blind in an eye and having seen Embera on a bad day really helped though.
"And secondly, I don't take kindly to being pushed."
Finale said this as a smooth white blade slid into his hand -as if from air, which it was- and Finale took an overhead swing at this mysterious spear wielding jerk.
"Don't do it again. EVER."

" Ofcourse not."
Wyvern leaned back to be grazed by the blade, leaving a trail of blood across his cheek from the blade. He wiped it away, but the cut was still bright red.
" I'll do much worse."[/color]
Wyvern's voice seemed to fade into the air as he spoke, getting darker and uglier by the end of his sentence. The eyes on his helmet shined bright white as the rest of his armor turned solid black to contrast with the white trims that now adorned it. The visible part of his face -- his own skin -- seemed to turn black like a shadow as some strange instinct inside of him began to take over.
" ...You will share his fate."
Wyvern mouth didn't move as he spoke... that voice wasn't his, but the voice of someone else -- something else that spoke through Wyvern. Evidently this was the force that was now controlling him. Like a helpless puppet on a string, Wyvern's body was fully surrendered to the darkness emanating from within.
His scratch was entirely gone, and his spear seemed to bleed dark energy into the air as he held it. Similar energy began to gather around Wyvern's free hand as he thrust it forward, powerfully shoving at Finale's chest with chaotically enhanced strength. The darkness on his hand subsided as he returned it to his weapon.

"Ow. . ."
Wyvern's push had sent him flying backwards, causing him to trip in reverse over the bench that was still miraculously attached to the ground.
"Guess it's time to bring out the kunai. . ."
As he said this, 4 kunai appeared in between his fingers, and one in the hand that had held Whirlwind, making it a total of five kunai sent towards Wyvern's general direction, and one Finale sent towards his general direction. One very angry Finale waving his arms horizontally like a madman, and to the casual observer he probably looked like a madman, but his Crescent Waves would be sure to hit.

Wyvern's wings opened up as Finale began to move. On their own, it seemed, they executed a singular powerful flap that sent Wyvern flying toward Finale as the kunai were thrown. He held his spear out infront of him, spinning it wildly, so that most of the kunai were deflected by his own weapon.
As he came close to Finale, his speed decreased instantly so that he stood infront of the navi.
" ..."
No words were necessary, so none were said. Immediately, Wyvern stabbed the tip of his lance at Finale's foot -- success wouldn't be fatal, but only keep Finale pinned as Wyvern pivoted his body over the weapon for a devastating vault-kick, then pivoting back to remove his spear from the ground and inaccurately lunge it at the target. He was hardly even trying at this point...

"OMGWTFYUSTABFOOT!"
Finale's response was loud and incomprehensible, the way Finale liked it. Then he felt the kick. It wasn't particularly strong, but it wasn't the weakest he had faced either. May as well start fighting for real then. Finale dodged the inaccurate lance and started to gather windpower. A small tornado enveloped him as he shot several more kunai toward the dark dragon navi.
"Bring. It. ON!"
He snapped Whirlwind back into his hand and rushed at Wyvern, with several slashes attacking him from all sides. Dodge that.

While he wasn't quick enough to parry every strike, Wyvern's natural defensive reflexes atleast were able to save him from the Kunai. As Finale began to hack into him with his sword, though, his lance wasn't able to keep up with each blow, so he'd gotten ripped up pretty badly from it.
" ..."
Not over yet, though.
Although the dragon-armored navi knelt down from the assault, a strange aura of darkness shrouded each wound and closed it tight with a black, glowing substance. A similar glow appeared around the tip of Wyvern's spear as he stood up, smiling.
Stabbing it into the ground, massive beams of dark energy burst from underneath the earth, reaching to the sky, engulfing both of them in a myriad of unholy blasts, resulting in absolute chaos.
A bright white flash of light illuminated and singed the area before the dark blasts were finished erupting and tearing apart the battle field. When the flash died down, the entire area was crawling with dark energy and torn asunder around Finale and Wyvern. None of the blasts seemed to harm Wyvern at all -- they even strengthened him.
As for Finale... no amount of speed could have dodged the assault. Only sheer toughness and endurance would spare him.

Finale could hear a crackle, then blasts of energy crashed down -Seemingly fom everywhere.
Silence. Was Finale dead? The Finale that fought for justice and hope?
.
. .
. . .
"Hardly."
Finale, somehow had survived. Through sheer force of will and some regenerative powers he had made it. But he wasn't happy. Not at all.
"This is the point where you lose."
Finale's mask changed to a deep, deep blue. High above, it started to rain. The wind and rain under Finale's control, seemingly nothing could stop him. He shot a rush of water towards Wyvern, then a gust of air, this pattern repeating several times.. Finale knew that Wyvern had strong wings, but how long could Wyvern last under constant assault? With Kunai now mixed into the pattern, could Wyvern keep up?

The Kunais came and struck true as Wyvern braced himself against the weather -- he wasn't exactly focusing on avoiding them right now. The goal was not to get blown away by the torrential down pour that Finale had evidently called against him.
As Wyvern put all his strength into leaning against the wind, he made sure to keep his wings closed so that they wouldn't catch a gust and pull him away. He also happened to notice the color of Finale's mask change, as the strong winds and rains were summoned. Damaging that thing was his only hope of balancing the atmosphere again.
Wyvern's lance instinctually rose out of his hand and high into the sky -- above the wind and the rain. As it flew upward, it began to shine as a white light and duplicated itself into countless glowing counterparts. Above the clouds, the radiant light of the multitude of spears could be seen shining and almost brought warmth to the two below.
Like diagonal beams firing to the ground, each lance shot off instantly after another as they began to effectively rain down on the area, ignoring the wind and already pouring rain.
Upon contact with the ground and each of the lances, the area shook ever so slightly as each Light-Spear blew into an explosion of darkness, engulfing its immediate surrounding before dissipating.
Wyvern, again, took no harm from his own attacks, but the environment was left to suffer, as was Finale if he became too passive to the assault. Either it would serve as a great distraction, or it'd rid Wyvern the worry of that mask for a little while... This move was bound to have a more positive outcome than a negative.

Finale dodged the first blast, and jumped straight into the second...
He was blasted straight vertically into the air, being floating vertically as the storm dissipated. Then he fell. And Finale falls with vengeance. His mask temporarily disabled, he used the most of what he had. His natural element of wind. Diving straight toward Wyvern he raised his sword above his head. Finale would not be outsmarted again. As he hit the ground rock and pebble from the remains of the park's path blasted in Wyvern's direction. Finale was going to make the most of what little HP he had left.

Wyvern's wings slowly opened up and his lance returned to him as he stood in a neutral position again. The wind was finally done, that was a good thing.
His eyes failed to catch where Finale had gone after the myriad of blasts, but as a shadow cast over his body the answer was obvious. He looked up with just enough time to raise his spear infront of his body to block the sword blow -- the quick defense costed him dearly though.
" Ngh!"
While the block was successful, Finale had managed to chop Wyvern's weapon completely in two. One half of the spear vanished in a flash of light, and the other dissipated in a cloud of darkness, leaving Wyvern virtually defenseless and... well... "offense-less".
As the lance snapped, Wyvern's appearance began to noticeably change from completely black, back to purple and red again. The strange force inside no longer had control over him, it seemed, as he returned to normal. Without the weapon, and without the strength of the entity within him, this fight would be much more difficult than before.
" You're faster and stronger than you appear..."
Wyvern opened his fists as he spoke, the claws on each finger glistened with light to show their sharpness.
"... But you're body is still very fragile."
The debris that flew at Wyvern from Finale's impact to the ground was slashed away by his claws -- in one fell swoop, the blew all of it away from him and vanquished whatever managed to make it past the gust of wind let off by the chop.
With that out of the way, Wyvern grabbed Finale's shoulders and carried him as he ascended high into the air -- in a second, with a single thrust from his wings, he brought the two of them miles above the ground and paused, giving Finale enough time to only look down.
" If this doesn't blow you apart... I'll enjoy finding something that will."
Wyvern released his grip and kept himself airborne as he looked below. Falling from a height like this was survivable... probably. Wyvern truthfully wasn't sure whether one could get up from such a drop. He'd never found himself an such a dire situation before.
Now was as good a time as any to watch somebody else solve that mystery for him, though.
