Finale closed his eyes as he spiralled infinitely downwards. He had fallen much farther distances before. . . although that time he landed on a snake. May as well give up while you still can. What happened next was completely unknown to Finale.
"Guess it's my turn then. Heheheh."
Finale stopped falling, escaping into some limbo of death and life. But another, scythe wielding character with black armour and a full mask appeared in his place. The scythe-wielder rocketed upwards, floating on what appeared to be a black wind. He flew circles around Wyvern, slashing at him in a figure eight pattern, eventually grabbing him and sending him downwards - along with the scythe wielder himself.

[bgcolor=23232a] Totally unexpected. Caught off guard by this mysterious foe, Wyvern was struck directly by the scythe cuts. His armor was thick enough to take most of the damage, but he could feel the cold blood slowly trickling down the arm and leg that had gotten hit. With no time to regain focus to react, Wyvern found himself caught in freefall with the scythe-wielder.
And he managed to hear some sort of strange language coming from this being... Whatever it said, it couldn't have been good.
No sense in ruining the plan, though. Wyvern had confidence in his armor's ability to take the blow from this kind of fall. He closed his wings around the enemy, so he was wrapped up and they were essentially falling together. Head first to the ground, Wyvern had no fear for what would soon come.
It'd be a tough blow... but if he were lucky, it'd be more than his opposition could withstand.

The scythe wielding mystery Navi disappeared and was replaced by the viral wind. Said viral wind was none too happy about being hugged by a dragon.
"Excuse me! What tha' hell do you think you're doing!"
Finale wriggled and tried to move out of his opponent's grip, but it was no use. Altitude rapidly descending, Finale decided to play the only card he hadn't yet used - Blip, Blop, and Bloop.
"Blip, Blop, Bloop! I summon thee! Attack the dragon - man thing!"
Suddenly, three undeniably super-cute Skeeters appeared and latched on to Wyvern. They aimed specifically for where his armor didn't cover and would suck his data dry if he didn't act quickly to avoid them.

[bgcolor=232323] (( If we rush this we can prolly finish before the event ends!))
Before letting go, Wyvern made sure the remaining distance to the ground was too near for Finale to maneuver away from the impact of the fall. With his collision course imminent, Wyvern released his hold and spiraled in place while still airborne, hoping that he could spin quickly enough for the little mosquito virii to lose their sharp grip on him. And even if that didn't work, stabbing them with the spear would be just as effective, if not easier.
After dealing with them, Wyvern looked down to see how Finale faired with the fall as he himself slowly descended to the ground to get a closer look at the scene.

Finalii had fallen from much higher heights before, but never had he actually hit the ground. However, this was it. He had fallen, and now he hadn't had something to break the fall. He wondered if this was the end. He lied there, battered, bruised. He was defeated. Then he heard something.
'Dooooo not givvvve uppp hopppee'
It was the virus, the virus that revived him and let him be who he is. It felt as if he was lifted off the ground, just standing on the pebble and stone on the ground made him feel good. Finalii realized what was happening. He was absorbing the area around him, the very earth below him was now his tool. One would use to his advantage. Finalii struck the ground as hard as he could, sending boulders and rubble all over the area. Finallii picked up one small stone he liked, and whipped it in Wyvern's direction in the sky, using his wind prowess to guide the stone right towards the enemy.

"... Easy."
The virii made no threatening response after their owner had fallen. At the sign of his adversary's fall, Wyvern turned his back and slowly began to walk away... but then something happened.
" ...?"
The shaking of the area... it couldn't be an earth quake. Could it?
Wyvern turned around to see the Navi back on his feet, throwing something into the air.
"That's.... impossible..."
Before he had time to fully react, a stone slammed into him from seemingly nowhere, sending him spiraling back to land face down on the floor. With the Darksoul already used up, he didn't have much more to offer other than what had already been seen.
Hopefully... that'd be enough.
Ignoring the pain caused by the blow, Wyvern sprung to his feet and used his wing to gain some altitude right over Finale. He wasn't too high in the air, but just enough that the boulders and debris wouldn't be in his range, should Finale try to execute that earth-shattering technique again.
From above, black flames began gathering at the tip of Wyvern's helmet just before spraying out a mist of flames to the area below, bathing it in darkness and fire. Hopefully that'd slow him down, but even if it didn't, Wyvern prepared his next move in advance. He spun once in the air -- wings outstretched. As he did, small sharp discs of air materialized at the end of each wing and launched themselves toward Finale, homing in to their target and cutting through whatever they came into contact with.
Sending wind-projectiles at a wind-navi wasn't necessarily the best idea, but at this point, anything was worth a shot.

He did not expect flames, but he would use them to his advantage. He was burned, but the shot didn't do much damage in the end. Instead, he used it to amplify his own attacks. He dodged the wind shots and returned the damage with a fiery Whirlwind sword.
"Y'know, maybe you shoulda picked on someone weaker then yourself!"

Wyvern grinned as the attack came back and as Finale taunted him.
" ... I suppose that is kind of an understatement, considering what you are to me. I'll tell the next one not to struggle so easily."
As for the returning wave of fire, Wyvern's helmet absorbed it just as easily as it had been spewed. His own darkness couldn't harm him -- or atleast it couldn't harm his armor.
" Let's finish prolonging the inevitable. Be lost in darkness as I purge you with light unerring."
Still airborne, Wyvern begins charging energy into each palm. Emanating from his right hand is a force of pure darkness, while his left is enveloped in the power of the purest light. Each palm holds what could only be described as an orb of raw energy, growing in size as Wyvern continues to charge power into each of them.
No attack was to be made yet... He'd have to gather enough strength to guarantee the enemy's fall. As he continued to charge, the orbs continued to grow, almost to the point of enveloping each of his entire arms.
The end was near. Be it the end of Finale, or the end of himself.
It was indeed near.

Finale ran. Very very quickly. No way he'd be stuck in some yin-yang blast of doom any time soon. No way. Instead, after getting a reasonable distance awy, Finale yelled back to the dragon navi.
"Maybe we should have a truce! I don't think that that bomb is good for either of our health!"
Finale started to run again, just in case Wyvern didn't hear him.

Wyvern raised an eyebrow.
That certainly was not the response he expected... and neither was it the response that he usually got.
Even still, it was acceptable enough. Wyvern didn't suspect the same trick from before to be used against him a second time. That is, the deceptive tongue that started this whole ordeal.
The orbs dissipated into thin air as Wyvern slowly descended to the ground. It was nothing too dramatic, since he hadn't charged too much power into them yet. He approached Finale, slowly -- clearly in no rush -- to accept his offer.
" Fair enough, then. But before I go, I must ask once more."
He ceased his approach when he was close enough to Finale to just talk, rather than scream. Arms crossed and chest high, the dragon navi sort of tilted his chin down as he repeated his question from the start -- it was his entire purpose of being here, anyway.
" Have you seen the navi who calls himself 'Warrior', or are you aware of his current location? I have a few... 'issues' to resolve..."

"Anope. can't say I have. I guess I'll uhh. . . be going now."
Finale slowly walked past Wyvern, a sly smile on his face. As soon as he was almost behind Wyvern, he stuck his leg out in hopes that it would trip the Mood-Swingy navi of draconian origin.
(( You post last I believe, if not then this can be judged.))

" Fine then..."
As soon as Wyvern got his response, he flew off at breakneck speeds, leaving behind nothing for Finale to trip.
This was the first time he had gotten out of a conflict without somebody getting hurt. ... He supposed it was a nice thing to know such an occurrence was possible, even with a destructive creature inside of him.
Perhaps it wasn't such a curse after all...

Normally, our RP Battles are a fairly even match. You did both do certain things well, and it wasn't a bad battle by any means. But forgive me for being blunt and stating that - spoiler alert - Warrior completely schooled Encore here. Now, as a formality, the sections: Style:Remnant's posts were very enjoyable to read. They had a cohesive style and flowed nicely. There were a few turns of phrase I quite enjoyed. Unfortunately, he occasionally made distracting grammatical errors. Encore's writing conveyed events clearly, but was very dry and unengaging in comparison. It really seemed like Remnant was much more involved in the proceedings. Remnant: 26 / 30 Encore: 15 / 30 Articulation:Once again, Remnant had much more detail and investment in his posts. There were a few moments in Encore's posts that gave relevant and helpful details, but far fewer. Remnant: 17 / 20 Encore: 10 / 20 Balance:Here's my issue with both of you. You each used statements at least once that seemed to preclude the possibility of your opponent avoiding or otherwise negating the attack. I actually think Remnant did worse here - the bit where Wyvern picked up Finale and dropped him to the ground was a bit much, and it clearly left Encore with nothing to do in the next post. Also, he seemed far too even a match for someone 3 versions higher. You did at least both take some good hits and respect one another's posts. Remnant: 14 / 20 Encore: 15 / 20 Length:Remnant's posts were usually a nice length, and included all the necessary details plus more without feeling padded. His posts toward the end were shorter, but Encore was giving him less to do. All of Encore's posts were short and utilitarian. They often felt abrupt and it was hard to get involved with such brief posts. Remnant: 9 / 10 Encore: 4 / 10 Emotion:Remnant sold the dual personality of Wyvern quite well. His motivations were clear and consistent. I felt I got a decent sense of his characterization while reading. Finale was goofy and determined, which is certainly worth something. However, largely because of problems with length and style, he came across as far more shallow. Remnant: 8 / 10 Encore: 6 / 10 Judge Points: As I feel I have covered everything, these grades are an average of your scores in the other sections. Remnant: 8 / 10 Encore: 6 / 10 Final Ranked ScoresRemnant: 82 / 100 (A-Rank) Encore: 56 / 100 (C-Rank) Finale gets a 15-point version bonus, so the final judgement score is 71 to 82. WYVERN WINSNovember bonuses still in effect here, so: 40 EXP / 800z to Finale 30 / 300, - 20 / 200 for versions, + 10 / 100 for rank, x2 for November, x2 zenny for token 200 EXP / 4,000z to Wyvern 50 / 500, + 30 / 300 for versions, + 20 / 200 for rank, x2 for November, x2 zenny for token
