" ... Embera?"
Hadn't seen her since the Autumnal Assault in Creamland... although they certainly could have used her help for the events that followed.
Nonetheless, Warrior felt a bit of satisfaction to see her again. She could certainly play a major part in helping them put the world back in order.
Hopefully that was her goal...
" It's... Mirrorman."
Warrior made no reaction to the wave of fire. There was no time to react anyway. But atleast it didn't hit anybody.
" Or just Mirror."
Searching the network with Merrill and Mirror was next on the agenda, as well as catching them up on everything they missed. Embera probably needed catching up too -- Warrior wasn't sure if she knew anything at all about the new beast that escaped from Creamland. If they managed to get her to join them, things would certainly be much easier.
" ..."
But the task itself probably wouldn't be easy... Embera had changed alot over the years Warrior had known her. He couldn't say for sure what side she'd be on, but he strongly clinged to the hope that it was their's.
" What brought you out here?"

[glow=white,2,500]*Embera nodded as Warrior introduced her. When it finally got back to being her turn to talk, she let out a loud enough yawn that could be considered impolite by even lazy people. She stared at her nails, and began talking to the open air, giving almost no attention to Warrior or the others.*
Embera: Ehh...boredom mostly...heard a lot of crap went down...ruined a ton of networks...et cetera et cetera...the fuzz has been off of me, even when I was at their front door. Not much else to do really...kinda...adventuring..
*The way Embera said adventuring sounded almost trippy as she slowly extended her arms in front of her, feigning the action of wrapping her mind around it. Keeping the stance, she stared outwards...before reverting entirely back to her old self.*
Embera: So, what's up with you three?[/glow]

Mirror turns to this newcomer, Embera, Warrior had called her. She seemed to be friendly.
"As Warrior said, name's MirrorMan, but that's more official than I prefer, so Mirror is just fine. We just wrapped up a sparring match to get re-familiarized with ourselves and each other. Now it's a matter of assessing our situation and coming up with some sort of plan..."[/b]

Merrill nods.
"Agreed. We just finished sparring, as Mirror said. Now, dealing with this new threat is our prority. You seem quite calm for one considering this creature has destroyed networks like it was nothing."
Merrill said the last sentance curiously. He didn't say it with Malice or anything like that, he was just slightly surprised and curious.

[glow=white,2,500] *Embera nodded at Mirror and Merrill's words, before materializing a rather large chicken drumstick in her hand. Taking small bites, she glanced over to Merrill with a relaxed grin on her face. With her mouth half full, she replied to him.*
Embera: Yeah...Yeah I do... As for a plan, what do you guys have in mind?
*Embera was content taking her small bites out of the drumstick and nonchalantly looking around her locale. She hadn't been this carefree before, and it was pretty comfy. She supposed she should get moving, but the thought remained in her head. "Or you can stay here and do nothing..." And so she did.*[/glow]

Warrior turned his back to the group, crossing his arms and tilting his head down as he closed his eyes so that he could clear his mind and think. He was totally unaware of the mauling bears as he responded.
" Yeah...Yeah I do... As for a plan, what do you guys have in mind?"
" ... There isn't much that only three people can do."
Not counting Iscon, Rikaru, or Embera. But Embera wasn't asking about them, she was asking about the three that were present.
" I'm still searching for clues about this thing. I'm trying to find out where it went, or atleast where it will strike next."
All of the events leading up to the crisis were coming to mind, as well as the clues Warrior had already gathered... Or rather, the 'clue' about Iscon and his mysterious data. He'd have to find out if there were any others like that (or if anybody out there knew more about it) before he returned to Iscon. Besides, it was in pretty safe hands, he believed.
" The creature came from some mysterious data that fell from the sky after Knightman and the Creamland army tried to reboot the network. The data was accessed, and the beast was apparently inside. That's all I know about where it came from. As for what it can do..."
Warrior opened his eyes as he turned his head to Mirror, addressing him specifically while continuing to answer the questions that had already been asked.
" It mimics its enemies. Or atleast that's all I know it's capable of doing. Much like the way you do -- except much more potently."
Warrior broke eye contact with Mirror to resume his previous posture as he continued.
" It copied Genesis's abilities, Zane's, and several others before it wiped us out. Then escaped by creating some portal -- as if it just... tore through space or something..."
The ONB hadn't made any new announcements since their last broadcast. Genesis and Zane haven't been heard from since the incident (and neither had Embera until now). The Armored Destroyer was out searching for his own clues. Warrior hadn't heard from Phenoix in years. And the rest of the navis on the net combined couldn't hold a stick to any of these. So until any of those returned, it was up to the rest of them to figure out a way to stop this thing.
" While the ONB is on standby, the only thing we can really do is search the network for whatever leads we can find to the monster. I've searched Creamland, and most of Sharo. Netopia's next, followed by Electopia. If I -- if we can't find anything, then hopefully one of us can get into the newly opened positions of the ONB that were recently announced. They've got more resources and legislative power than any of us... that's our best bet at staying up-to-date with all of the new information, if we can't figure out anything for ourselves."
It was an option Warrior didn't want to revert to, but if that's what it took, he'd do it.
" We need to split up... or Embera, if you're in, we can go in groups of two."
And if she wasn't, that was no big deal either. There was no stopping Embera or persuading her into doing anything against her will, and Warrior knew better than to try. If she was willing to help, though, he'd certainly accept it.
" Otherwise... we don't have time to waste. We need to leave soon."

[glow=white,2,500]*Embera choked on the chicken as the bears attacked, screaming as her food laid soiled on the ground, her body being rended into ribbons of flame. As the bears left, she reconstituted herself. Regaining her composure, she made a falsely pondering expression before piping up.*
Embera: No deal...I got a bit of stuff on my plate...Personally, I think this is a pointless thing you all are doing. All that will happen is you'll all die. Shame, really...oh well. I've got places to be. Been fun catchin' up. See ya guys, by Mirror!
*Embera nodded, before porting off to the lawless area she had first found purpose.*[/glow]

[bgcolor=232323] " Fair enough." Careless words met careless ears. Warrior's posture, tone, and determination were unscathed as Embera left." I'm heading to Netopia. You two can do whatever you want -- we'll meet up when we're done." No teleporting, no vanishing, nothing.
Warrior simply walked off and disappeared into the horizon as he headed for the next network in his journey: Netopia.[ Location Change → L'Internet du Soir (The Internet of Night)]

Merrill sighed. He knew there was something up with Warrior. His eyes were not mistaken. He wanted to confront his brother about it, but now was not the time. He sighed, and but his hand to his head. He sat down, and looked at Mirror.
"Well. That was pleasant... Whatcha thinking Mirror? Should we go after him, or let him be? I think we should stay together, reguardless. I don't want to run into that creature right now... But if it can absorb abilities... Crap... *sighs*
Healer hugged Merrill.
[shadow=red,up,2,300]"Why is Warrior so... different?"[/shadow]
Merrill said nothing, just looked up at Mirror.

Mirror stood, letting things settle. The subtleties of things definitely seemed off. That could just be the stress of the situation... Healer made an interesting point... "Why is Warrior so... different?" "I think, for now, that's for him to know and for us to find out. He'll tell us when he's ready. As for what to do now... I think it might be better if we left him to do his own thing. Though, we definitely need to do something. I agree that I'm suited to information gathering, but where would we start with something like that?"

(OOC: Sorry for the delay, and Mirror, Healer said it.)
Good question... Merrill thought. Then a thought hit him.
"We can go to Electopia... Warrior said he was going to Netopia. I admit, he has a good point... We could also consider trying to get a postion at the ONB... For now, not only could we have the recources to actually gain any access that the ONB, as trashed as it is, has hidden... As well as keep our own guys semi-safe from dealin with the bounties, and this unregistered crap until later... But whilst we think and talk about it, we should head to Electopia to do some stuff. I've been to Bayside City already. Nothing there as far as I knew, and I was there meditating for a bit. The ONB headquarters was kinda in a mess, and I was there... We could try and talk with X... If he wasn't still playing battleship. -_-... So, What suits you that might be a good idea? You are the Leader, Mirror.
He stood, eyes changing back to normal.
"As for Warrior, I agree. He's troubled. I don't know what or why, but something's happened to him... He knows the truth, and hopefully trusts us enough to help him. I kinda want to talk with Remnant about it at some point. But we have this creature to deal with first.

"First of all, you don't need to refer to me as the leader anymore... We're equals. The Crusading Shield is no more. Not in spirit, but when it fell apart, so did any status of my leadership. So, with that said, I'll do whatever you think is best."

[bgcolor=570041] “I’m just a little pet; I like warmth, friendship, and food.” [/font] _______________________________[/center] While the two talked, they failed to notice that a figure had been walking amongst the crunchy tundra terrain and adapted its appearance to the appropriate surrounding. It was only a pluck and a pinch as the blob-like figure had reconstructed her body, and took on the appearance of an every so friendly small familiar virus. A flightless bird who used its body to slide upon the ice and stare with big empty rounded eyes, or at least, that’s all it was when it was first found with its kind.
However, the bird had its benefits...especially one of them being a cuisine some time ago in this same tundra.
Regardless, it was not a shell of its former self: the body of a pink and unusual bird of its color, while its mind actually being nothing short of the sadistic instincts of a familiar bug that had used its impeccable shape shifting abilities to waddle through the confines of the network undetectable and let itself be identified as nothing more than bugged virus data to the eyes and scans of computers. It was essential to travel this way, especially when going to and from her special P.E.T. confine that the naïve little girl made for her. It only took one corner to cut to make it to the Sharoian University mainframe that was not far from here but..
Oh! Guests...!
The pink penguin had stopped in the plain view as it seemed to waddle right into the view of the two NetNavis that was standing there conversing. It was unusual seeing Sharo was not the best place to roam. However, curious and interested, the penguin waddled right up to them rather than slide on its belly and looked up. It only took a peck on the knee of Merrill to get some attention like it demanded.
After all, it was adorable! _______________________________ “But I don’t take kibbles and bits!” [/font][/center] ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Monster {Instrumental}” by Kanye WestIC Attire: Pengi Skin (Pink hues) Location Change From: Undernet Main Chatty Ditz: -----[/size]

Merrill looked at the Penguin that was now at his knees. He cocked his head sideweys, and smiled at it. He thought to himself.
"Cute little fella. Odd seeing a pink penguin out here. Rare, or new type, maybe?"[/color]
"Hey little one."
He put his hand to the flute, on it's chain around his neck with one hand, and patted the penguin's head with the other. He started to lift it up to his lips, and he played a few soft notes for the penguin...
