Khepri.EXE Khepri's mind was still reeling on ideas, and he was just about ready to address their plan and properly address Russet when the battlefield above suddenly imploded with the force of purple lightning.
Volley after volley struck, and Khepri even found himself moving out of the way to avoid getting struck. When the smoke finally cleared, he looked up to see a figure floating in the air, above Deav. The character, whether good or evil, had just put another Navi's life on the line, for the probable hopes of getting his own mission completed. Khepri was immediately inclined to despise him; but, a probable ally was an ally, no less. A new question floated into his head: Was this a new friend, or another foe?
He didn't have time to find out. As soon as the smoke cleared, Russet began his own assault. Khepri cursed in Egyptian, stretching out a hand to stop him. "Wait, no!" he cried, in vain. His words fell on deaf ears, as the raging assault he wanted to avoid began to unfold before him.
"We need a plan. . ."
Khepri's outstretched hand fell back to his side, and, as he looked around at the Navis still on the ground, he sent his mind on overdrive. Two people were now heavily affected by the sudden aging process that the Reaverbot caused, and a third was possessed by something that the scythe caused. There were quite a few Navis now apart of the battle, but, not all of them were content with working together with a plan. He had the fear that, instead of coming together as a team, they would all end up getting deleted by the threat that was the Reaverbot.
Khepri was a very smart person, or, at least, he thought so. From what he could tell, the scythe that this man used for a weapon held some importance - as of now, though, it was currently in use by someone else. Whatever importance it held for them didn't matter as of yet, as they had no way of getting it. Their only hope was to distract it's wielder for long enough to. . .oh. Russet already had that under control. Khepri averted his attention, least his obvious gaze give away his ally.
So, what were they to do? Khepri moved from his hiding spot atop one of the twisted walls, so that he now stood in the open. To those on the ground and atop the building, he would be viewed as standing sideways; however, he was quite a bit above those on the ground, and only a little bit below the building Deav was on. It was a strategic location, allowed access to by whatever clumps of corrupted data this place held.
He found it a dream of his to somehow fix this place some day. For now, though, he turned his attention downward, towards the previously ensnared naivs, looking around at them as the shadowy coils were broken. He would've liked to given them words of solace, but, they would be out of place. Instead, he gave them this:
"You are free from your restraints, but, not from the looming certainty that it may happen again. Our enemy is strong, and we have no hope of defeating them with irrational actions and stupid mistakes," he bluntly stated, turning to each person in turn. He grimaced when he looked at the eldest looking one, knowing that he was so without content. He moved on, though: "We need a plan, and I think I have one. The Scythe that the girl wields; it was once his weapon. Methinks that it has some sort of importance, not only in his plan, but in our hopes of defeating him. Needless to say, I hope, is that we have to do this together; there is really no other choice."
Whether through design, divine intervention or pure choice, Khepri's voice was exceptionally loud. It boomed from him, and spread out, as though its presence on the world caused the world to listen more closely. With his ability to impose his will into reality via speech, it wasn't an outlandish thought that his voice would be loud. Perhaps, though, it was too loud? He boomed again:
"We'll have to strike hard, but, we have to stay away from his grip. You can see it from here; he's aging, again. He feeds off of our own power," he said, as he began to ready his own battle features. He unhooked his war flail, and summoned his crook from nothingness. He turned his radiant gaze to the building above, glaring at the Reaver. "I'd prefer to deal with him as an old man again, personally."
At that, he raised his crook once again, and caught in it a bolt of sun energy. He fired it at Deav, knowing it wouldn't do much damage, and used it as a hope to get his attention. Distraction was their friend, here.

Fulgur grunts, struggling. There were others in harms way...He had to help them!!The navi blinks as Deav snags Kidd, slowly draining his youth. Then...purple lightning crashes down, developing them both." No......" Ful struggles harder, but an attack of someone finally frees him. He breathes in relief, then looks at the mysterious navi who gives out a speech. Yes...they needed to plan this..He walks up to Khepri, hus cloak drifting slightly.Though the boy's manner was timid and shy, his eyes gleamed in determination." Sir...W-what should I do?"

Finale was in his own little world with Nymphra, more concerned with what he saw in her eyes than what was going on in the world around him. He could care less of Reaverbots or Reaver Kings. He wanted to know what it was Nymphra felt, what compelled her to pick up the scythe, and what it was that held her in place as he made his approach. Silently, he took another step forward, pressing his body against his, his forehead touching hers, the space between them being erased entirely.
"What made you do it?" he asked, his eyes intent on her empty pupils. Empty. The world was so empty, devoid of life these days. Those old standbys of law and order, the ONB, were in scrambles. Time didn't match up. The world was accosted by reaver bots and mad kings. Someone calling himself Megaman appeared. What a strange world to live in.
It didn't matter here, in this space, where Finale was staring into Nymphra's eyes, Nymphra able to see clearly through his visors to his dull grey eyes looking madly into hers, filled with a strangeness. It wasn't the usual look of boredom, but rather an intense interest, filled with disgust, or lust, or hatred, or inspiration? It was madness.
"I may not know what Deav desires, but I desire thus. Enwrap us in your shadows, you and I, and let's see who survives."
With a wickedness on his breath, and the hilt of his sword in his hand, Finale waited.
Staring.

Khepri.EXE He looked down at the timid Navi, a frown gracing his face for but a moment. 'Sir?' That would never do.
"I am not a superior, my friend; we fight as a team, not as a commander and his followers.
"That being said, we need to fight together. If you're a melee fighter, learn how to shoot - fast."
He was familiar enough with Kotobuki by now, so, he knew how it worked. He was currently standing on a wall, rather than on a floor or ceiling, and looking down sideways on the recovering Navis. He looked up at the building that this wall floated beside; the same building that held the Reaverbot. If he were right about the strange coding here, then he could simply jump off and allow gravity do the work.
With a huff, he broke away from the wall and fell towards the other building. As he suspected, gravity shifted around him, and the world shifted, too. A moment ago, he had been standing on one wall; now, he was standing on a different one. The world was dramatically different from this perspective. He looked up, and saw Deav looking down at everyone from his perch. The grin on the evil man's face sickened Khepri. . .he knew that he was at a powerful advantage, and he was using it to the best of his wicked ability.
Of course, Khepri wasn't dumb enough to go charging up the building's side. He was hoping that he was quickly forgotten about, what, in the rolling thunder, flashes of lighting both yellow and purple, and the sudden appearance of someone beside his ally. Hopefully, they could just get that Scythe. . .it was important, he just knew it.
For now, though, he lied in wait. He stood strong on his new wall, looking up and crouching down. They had to make Deav come to them. . .he could only hope everyone else got that message.

"Oh come now. You didn't think you could steal my energy so easily now did you?" As he said this, Kidd tossed one of his guns in the air, towards the newcomer to be exact. He turned the other one on himself and pulled the trigger. A loud band and a flash of light erupted from the weapon, and to most, it would likely seem as if he were dead as his body grew ever colder by the second. So cold, in fact, that ice crystals started to form around him, on the ground below him, and even on Deav's hand where contact was made with Kidd. It did not stop there though. the crystals started to spread. They were relatively weak, but he hoped they would be distracting enough for him to escape. the round he had fired was on the ground below him as it had been blocked by a shield that he formed right after squeezing the trigger. So the question was, did he cause enough distraction to get away?

At least they were going to give him a little entertainment. He really couldn't take advantage of those who accepted Juno, a rule as it were. But those who resisted were fair game. His meal to be seemed to finally be squirming about instead of just being held limply there, but it seemed they were learning a little bit. Deav knew he only had a short time to gather more energy before he would revert back to his decrepit other self.
His hostage firing through himself was not quite what he expected, but the freezing crystals were welcome. Trying to feign death vs he who lorded over it was a fool's errand. With his hand cemented to Kidd's head by his own crystals, Deav looked to consume the navi he held, with Kidd beginning to feel energy leaving his body.
Yet others still pressed on, as a volley of shots from on high rained down on Deav. The first of which jolted Deav forward a little, before the Reaver turned to shield himself with the body in his possession as the subsequent shots rained down, leaving but a dust cloud where he once stood. All the while, Kidd's energy was being slowly sapped. Though after a great trial of pain from being pelted with shots subsided, Kidd could no longer feel the cold grip of Deav on his skull. The reaver had released his meal it seemed, yet even in the cloud of dust and in close proximity, Kidd couldn't make out the reaver itself.
Indeed this was due to Deav having moved out of the cloud in the chaos, and it would become apparent to no one more than Russet, who's attention seemed to be directed at Nymphra and Finale. A dark clawed hand rested on the sparking navi's shoulder, and the electricity that sparked through the navi's body quickly subsided, and the bronzed coloration to his body turning orange Deav's accelerated aging began to rust the Heelnavi's body.
"You know... You'd think people would know better than to try to power up in the face of one who feeds on that energy."
Deav's features once again tightened, the minor wrinkling effect having reversed again. His smile remained just as big as before, though his eyes showed a spark in them not unlike the energy that moments before coursed about Russet. A quick glance over to his thrall, doing very little with her abilities... Perhaps it was wrong to entrust it to someone so inexperienced. At least it would preserve a little energy when he needed it.
His gaze returned to Russet, the rusting process finished its course and all the energy that could be pulled from him had left his body. As the rust sealed the navi's mouth closed, Deav leaned in with a flippant grin.
"Any last words?.. Actually forget it, I don't care."
With that final remark, Deav let go of the heelnavi, now a rusted statue, before a quick, offhanded kick from the reaver shattered what remained of the navi, scattering his pieces across the ground toward Nymphra and Finale.
"Any others who want to prepare delicious dumplings for me?"

Fulgur blinks, then smiles gently."I-its a h-honor, si-....freind." Told he'd need to shoot, the navi nods."I can do that...."He watches carefully as the solar god moves, the follows him.The boy grins as Kidd pulls off a freezing maneuver, but blinks as it seems to fail.Fulgur gasps as Deav goes after Russet, aging him then easily deleting him. The boy narrows his eyes, forming his buster and shooting rapidly at the Reaverbot. They had to get him away from Finale, had to destract him..The small spheres of lightning streak towards Deav. Though he wouldn't be able to do damage, at least he could distract him..

Khepri.EXE Khepri watched as the other Navi ran up past him, getting closer to the Reaverbot than he would've advised in order to pelt him with small bolts of lightning.
He raised his vision back to Deav, himself, only to watch as he grabbed another Navi. This Navi was more robotic than the others, and, for a moment, Khepri thought that would save him. That didn't last, though, as his metallic body was suddenly consumed by rust, and, without much effort, another of his allies fell. . .this time, to be deleted.
He clenched his jaw, holding in a cry of rage. He would grieve for the loss at a later time; blind rage wouldn't grant him a different fate. Instead, he once again raised his crook, capturing a bit of his solar radiance in it before launching another bolt of solar energy at the Reaverbot.
Afterwords, he let go of his bearings on the wall, causing himself to fall back. Partway through his fall, he pushed his weight back towards the wall, ending up much farther down the wall than before. The farther away he was from the Reaverbot, the better.
At this point, his plan was simple. He wasn't going to go and meet the Reaverbot in a head-to-head battle, and he definitely wasn't going to get any closer than he had to. If he was right, then the Reaverbot would lose the vitality he gained from others if he moved more; and Khepri was going to make him chase him.

That was not the result Nightwalker had been hoping for, though he had not planned on it ending that quickly. The captive navi could have atleast been deleted in the onslaught of attacks. Regardless of that, he had been watching and learning. Khephri revealing everything else he needed to know about this new foe, he continued to analyze Deav. He himself lost "age" and became weaker, drained the vitality of other through touch, and previously used a scythe that according to his unlikely allies had some manner of importance. Nightwalker made sure to catch the revolver Kidd had thrown toward him, confused as to why but perhaps it would be useful later.
Seeing him drain two more navis in such a short time, he made a mental note to prioritize NOT getting close to him for as long as he could manage. With that in mind, he would not be able to charge up for any attacks either unless Deav was held up for long enough. That also meant drawing on his reserves for more power was also risky. Which given Deav's current power and speed, that seemed like a risky gambit entirely.
He didn't have much time to weigh his options, as it was simply a matter of time before someone else was next on his list. The one by the scythe wielder seemed like the most obvious choice, but didn't appear to be taking any action either. The question in that case would be if Deav decided to go after him, or go after someone- someone clearing shooting at him. Nightwalker seemed to withdraw, taking flight around toward the back of Fulgar and Khepri.
What he did next depended on Deav. If he went after one of them, Nightwalker would use his dark energy to quickly pull whomever was his target out of harm's way. If he went after neither, then he would bide his time in the shadows until another option opened up. And in the still likely chance Deav went after him- well he was willing to lose a limb if need be.

?: I will!
A voice resounds from the far side of the wreckage as a Navi clad in green and white walks into the midst of the battlfield with an almost oblivious smile. Drawing at least somewhat close to the area where Deav hovers, he waves upwards with a shout.
Edge: Hey, Christopher Reever! Lookin good up there, just need a bit of moisturizer and you'll be at the top of your game! Listen; I know that you're busy and all, but I have a quick favor to ask ya;
Edge reaches into his belt and pulls out a piece of paper. Holding it up for Deav to see, he reveals a picture of himself and Juno with both smiling brightly.
Edge: I'm a friend of your boss, as you can see here. Best friend, really. He and I go way back. Could you tell me how to get a hold of him? I have a really important question to ask, and he forgot to leave a forwarding e-mail address

"I may not know what Deav desires, but I desire thus. Enwrap us in your shadows, you and I, and let's see who survives."
" ... "
A tempting offer, if there ever was one. Nose-to-nose with the one whose body matched that of another, Nymphra showed no discomfort being in such close proximity of Finale. Though if he looked closely into her eyes, he might have seen her iris and pupils hiding behind what appeared to be the white shell of blankness that covered them now.
Mind control was a peculiar thing; a loose term for what she was under right now.
She was, in fact, in her own mind. Her own memories and thoughts still dwelt inside her, but her desires were replaced with that of Deav's. And although the Nymphra inside was none to cower from this challenge of survival, the urge to protect her puppeteer and harvest more souls for his decaying body outweighed what her normal desires would be.
But before she could decline, Grade came bursting in between her and Finale at remarkable speeds -- she was able to react quickly enough to step away from Finale as Grade came sliding between them, though he still managed to get his grasp of Deav's Scythe as he drifted by.
"The Sickle is not a weapon made for conquering -- it is a tool designed to harvest. It was not created to wreak, but to reap. You believe you can wield such a utensil? You believe your intentions of it are inline with its purpose?"
Siphoning its power from Nymphra, or whatever he was planning, had not gone as intended, however. If nothing else, the Scythe seemed to be siphoning Grade's own strength, attempting to store it for Deav's later use.
Whether or not he could acquire its power, though, was not in Nymphra's ability to determine. That decision was left to its true owner, and Grade's coming fate largely rested on what it was that he decided.
((OOC: It's up to Phen whether or not you succumb to the possession as well. If not, well then I guess you slowly degrade into dry bones like some others. And if so, then guess the slippery slope just got even slipperier.))

((OOC: Cliché? ... that's an interesting choice of word, given other circumstances. On a side note, I feel I need to include a disclaimer: Raven was the dude that messed with all of your "heads up" stuff, not meeee =p ))
"Read your mind? No. Your intents were telegraphed clearly through your actions."
Legion's eyes fooled him -- it was not Nymphra's hands that were trembling, but perhaps his own? Much like Deav himself, the Scythe siphoned the life from whatever it touched sans for its host. Many of Nymphra's days may still have been lost to this weapon, though; it's possession did not come without a price.
She showed her first sign of any emotion when she smiled at Legion's assertive tone that he wouldn't let go of it.
"By all means, don't."
Withholding her intentions to steal his life's essence was no hard bargain on her end of things.

While her focus was directed towards Legion, it was the perfect opportunity. Nymphra could feel the sudden sensation of being suppressed physically. Rosario stood behind Nymphra and put both of his arms under Nymphra's arm pits, pulling her against him and keeping her in place. In order to aid this, he had summoned ice from the ground to trap both of Nymphra's and Rosario's feet in the same ice block. He only had enough strength to do this much. Despite his current age and many wounds, Rosario's will still remained the same. He was prepared to sacrifice himself in order to help Finale after what he's done for him.
"Finale.. now's your chance. Either make your move, or group up with the others!"
Wether or not this was a good idea didn't matter to Rosario. He was evil after all, but he could never betray the one person close to him.

As the chaos continued Aeon slowly got out of his hiding spot. Aeon realized he was in a bad situation. From what he could see there were no other viruses in the area aside from him- he had no allies with him. Well at least not right now. He seemed to be the only virus in the area- there was no way he could delete all of these Navis all be himself. Escape was not an option, what was there to do?
He tried to think. From the alleyway Aeon continued to watch the battle. After sticking his head out momentarily to see more of what was going on Aeon quickly turned away after watching Deav delete Russet. Aeon was in shock at what he had just saw- what kind of Navi was this? It deleted the other Navi by just touching it! It almost looked like he had taken the Navi's energy from himself.
Wait did that mean that the Navi wasn't a Navi after all? Aeon once again peaked out from his 'hiding spot'. He was greeted with Grade falling out of the sky and landing into the area. This time however Aeon slowly got out of his hiding space.
Aeon turned to look at the group of Navis. It seemed as if one was trying to rely the other Navis into a group to fight Deav and the others.
This was a troublesome situation, what would Aeon do? Aeon's instinct was telling him that he should go and fight the Navis but his mind thought otherwise. What would he do? Would he side with the Navis or will he just try to wreck havoc by himself?
It looked like he needed a little convincing, for now Aeon just stood by watching in full view of the battle.
