The trinket glowing by Eon's side begins to glow even brighter. A memory that should not exist reveals itself. [smear:FFFF00] we need to talk[/smear:00EEEE] From the trinket chains instantaneously wrap around Eon. CHAINS OF MEMORY Auto-Equip. CURSED: Cannot be removed. The owner has entered Vinyl's domain. A hole in the sky. This place was entirely of Eon's making, entirely within Eon's memory. The one Eon sought had come to Eon's home turf. This was not the meeting of Vinyl's choosing, but of necessity. Something has gone, horribly, terribly wrong. The one Vinyl had to work with now... the one who had caused him so many headaches. Time had been broken. If it continued down this path... Paradoxes... Truth... Chaos... ... You're gunna have a bad time. [smear:FFFF00] thank you for coming. Eon. i don't think you know me. but i know all too well of you.
...we have a problem.[/smear:00eeee]

The Navi before the fabled Vinyl looks on with a dead and angered stare, gazing on as silence falls between the two. His eyes shift colors at a constant rate as he looks on.
Eon: I know of you well enough, Vinyl.
By choice or by pure side-effect of the unfathomable power now rising within him, the chain that had bound him just moments before, the one that should be impossible to remove, shatters into vapor at his side
<Chains of Memory deleted>
This moment is lost to Eon, whose eyes begin to shift colors more and more rapidly with each passing moment.
Eon: As time moves on, I realize more and more about the changes of this world since last I was restored. I realize how little there is for me here, and how dangerous my very presence is.
Eon raises his hand in thought, closing it silently as he does so. In the sky above, the timeless light of day phases to an unnatural night.
Eon: But I will not allow it.
Eon's eyes return to their normal speed of phasing as his composure returns.
Eon: Your power is not truly one of reality-changing nature. Your power is to edit perception and memory, "resetting" time in an artificial nature. However, I am here now as a side-effect of one of your alterations.
Eon's previous anger drowns itself even farther, seeming to almost surrender to the situation as he does so.
Eon: I have the power that you mimic, but I cannot use it in a manner that will repair the damage done.
Eon pauses for a moment, his eyes once again uptaking a keen focus.
Eon: My presence is an error, one that I cannot undo myself. Please, help me fix what has been done.

[smear:FFFF00]"so that's how it is.
Eon. i cannot fathom your rage. all that you had fought for and against - gone.
i can only apologize, but lament that it must be this way.
the navi, JUNO...
no. the ANGEL within him, is what i fear most.
Eon.
it wasn't supposed to be this way. this is a mistake. but...
if you want to reset it all, that choice is yours...
my powers require sacrifice - they are useless without the collective memory choosing not to remember. those that have gone against this simple request must sacrifice something else. for some, that is their lives.
...
do you know why i exist, Eon? your power, unfathomable. humanity cannot percept the manner of time dilution that you possess. i was the answer to that - the collective being of humanity choosing to remember. remember what? i do not know.
but i do know that i've made mistakes. this is the third timeline i've bridged this way. and by the look on your face, i think this won't be our last.
you come from the first timeline - that of the Eternal Endgame.
the second timeline comes thirty years prior. the reason for its existence?a young girl's death. i gave her pity, and the benefit of doubt.
morbid events occurred in the first timeline, and i foolishly tried to fix them.
the second timeline is much the same, but different. this is when JUNO comes from. the JUNO as we know him.
when GATE attempted to destroy the world in this timeline, memory itself was at risk - if humanity exists not to observe and record, time itself may as well have been stopped.
in error, i erased the Eternal Endgame, hoping it would stop GATE.
...
it only served to delay him.
the third timeline is this one, a broken mess of memory.
you've been erased, yet still exist. JUNO should not exist, yet he persists through each loop. the ANGEL has been erased - what powers JUNO... and yet he still exists.
i fear that he grows more powerful each loop.
...
...
EON. YOU WISH TO RETURN THE TIMELINE TO ITS CORRECT ORIENTATION. RESTORING THE ETERNAL ENDGAME, AND REMOVING YOURSELF FROM THIS ONE, CORRECT?
THIS WILL NOT BE AN EASY TASK.
I WILL REQUIRE YOUR POWER, HAND IN HAND WITH MINE.
CHANGE REQUIRES SACRIFICE."[/smear:001111]
<Restore the timeline to its original form?> <This will restore the Eternal Endgame to everyone's memories, but will not delete their current memories, or change the current timeline.> <Memories that cannot coexist may be split in two.> <EON and VINYL will cease existence for an unknown amount of time.>
<The Following will be restored:
The Eternal Endgame, The Remnant's Soul, Embera's Flame, Ciel's Life, Genesis' Strength, The World's Memories,
and one more thing.
Resonance.>

Eon, stares on in silence, listening respectfully to vinyl's explanation of the past, present, and future alike. This all made sense, and was to be expected well enough... until one word rises.
Eon: Gate.
This name... it was one that he hadn't heard in some time, one that he had to remember now.
Eon: Vinyl, I do not know if this will have any impact on the future at this point, but what you just said.... it frightens me.
Eon drops the conversation for a moment, his color-shifting eyes settling on a dark hue as he drops them to the side.
Eon: I know that name, Vinyl. I know it better than I'd care to admit. Long ago, I was little more than a simple normal Navi with a few unique adaptations. This was in the... glory... days of the OEL. In those days, I was under the authority of the OEL's top scientist, the Navi who had envisioned and carried out my design; a Navi by the name of Gate.
He was my creator, my designer, the one who held my future in his hands. He had plans for me, Vinyl... but, after I was complete and had run my tests, he said something that chills me to this very day; that I was not strong enough.
Eon looks down at his hands in silence for a moment, his mind going back to that day once again.
Eon: Vinyl... with my programming complete, I had the power to literally destroy the net itself. And I almost succeeded when I was given the chance, but that power was insufficient for what he needed. In the end, Gate released a virus to purge the OEL, as he felt that they had failed his desired machinations. He killed countless Navis on a whim, and nearly ended me as well without even directly trying.
Eon then looks back up to Vinyl, the color-shifting properties of his eyes returning as he does so.
Eon: Before I agree to this, there is something that you must know; if Gate is still active, then he must still be planning something, and whatever his current endgame is will denote something far more lethal than anything that I can do.

"..."
The voice that escaped from behind Vinyl's shroud was not his usual. It was not penetrating, booming, inside your head. For this one time, he spoke himself - not through the insertion of memory.
"I hope not. If he is another who has the power to see through time..."
He drifted off.
"Eon. I know little about Gate. His mind is absent from me - he can see through the illusions of memory. If he is as... ambitious, as you claim, I fear...
I fear what could occur if the Angel were let back into the world. If her mind were to meet with Gate's... we'd have more than whatever Gate may have had planned on our hands.
However.
I cannot continue changing timelines. We; We cannot afford to give him more time to think. We'll have to trust humanity - and navi-kind.
That choice is yours, Eon. We can reset now, one final time, or go on this way, in a timeline that's been shattered whole.
...
Let's give the world a fighting chance."
<Reset?>

Eon's eyes fade and fall once again. In the end, he may as well have been speaking to the wind...
Eon: I am unable to oppose him. I am not a free Navi, I am bound by program. If I am allowed to remain, then I will be forced to complete myself again at some point, and I don't believe that I'll be able to keep myself from causing destruction again.
Eon hesitates, wishing that things could be different, that things could change... but to no avail. With one final look, Eon reaches out his hand to Vinyl to signify agreement to his terms, a determined look on his face.
Eon: I am sorry that my presence has forced this outcome for you,Vinyl. All that we can do now is leave a prayer that those that remain can succeed where we have failed.

[smear:FFFF00]Eon finds his hand being tugged inward, a soft, downy arm reaching behind him, and pulling him into a hug. "That's really it for us. Hopes and Dreams."A bright white light emanated from this. It spread outward. Out of the city. Out of the Network. Out of Electopia. This light filled the Earth, and beyond. The farthest reaches of the Galaxy Network. This light broke through to reality, to the very end of space and time. Eventually it faded.[/smear:c0c0c0] It was a brand new day.

In the fading light of the restored time, a single beam of light remained where two once stood, removed from now and what was to be, but preserved in memory once more. Golden feathers floated down the beam of light, resting gently on the panels below before dissolving into the wind. A place where one should have been, but had abandoned at the most dire of times. Yet even as time itself wished him away, there was a duty to return.
Fading in just above the rooftops of the city, one winged navi, clad in golden armor descended gently to the ground. As his form grew more and more real, so it was even more clear the origin of the feathers, as if constantly molting, constantly growing. White wings spread abroad, the figure touched down on a ring of golden feathers, the light from above fading into nothingness. Yet light still remained, a soft glow from the winged navi having finally returned once again.
Yet even as Phenoix returned to this world, there was much to do. A beat of his wings lifted him off the ground once more, a much more natural movement. A second beat to send him into the skies, just as there were matters to discuss, another feeling tugged on him, like a memory returned but never made. He would have to return to this later, though he was sure whatever it was, he would cross paths with it in due time.
[Phenoix Location Change: ?]

Amidst the buildings, the rubble, and everything else, there is a sword. It is a monument to one of the heroes of the net. One who died protecting a network that was far from his own. Before this monument, a red beam of Light shines down from the sky. Stepping out from this light, a navi wearing a Green Tempest uniform reveals herself.
"It's been a long time, hasn't it? Creamland is still being rebuilt, but it seems to be very close to completion. Anyway, just wanted to give you a little update. We...we didn't exactly succede at our goal. Gate still controls New Life, and the ONB Joes. But some day, I hope, we will take it back. And on that day, I swear to you, we will make that clown pay for what he did to you."
Moving behind the blade, she sat down and rested against it, while being careful not to unbalance it.

JunkMan.EXE
JunkMan was tired. The network connection between his Satellite Network and whatever network his company was linking him to had been riddled with viruses - if he didn't know any better, he would say they were trying to stop him from getting back!
But, after a long, arduous trip, JunkMan finds his way to the end of the connection, all tattered and worn from the Virus battle, but, for the most part, okay. Stepping out of the network connection, he finds himself in the heart of Element City; sprawling buildings and beautiful scenery of a city he has only seen through pictures, now right in front of him!
"Oh, what a beautiful city! And to think, all the opportunities hiding around here to collect things!"
As he looks around the massive city, taking in the sights and scenery, something comes to mind.
He has no idea how to get around this place. The only familiar pathway is the connection route he just exited that led back to his Satellite. All these passing Navis look like they know where they're going . . . surely one of them would like to help him out? JunkMan had good experiences with Navis from Earth, before!
Rolling himself up to a passerby Navi, he gently reaches out to grab them, but, thinks better, and just taps them with a clawed hand. "Hello!" he greets, feeling a little nervous. What if they didn't like him, or if they weren't friendly?! "I'm JunkMan, and I'm kind of new here. Think you could help me getting about?"

It was a beautiful, warm, bright day as Coqui was rushing sporadically like a madman down the streets of Element City. He was in a hurry to reach the local market place before the afternoon rush hour with the intention to purchase some school supplies for his operator. But, having only been in town for a over a week, he failed to fully memorize the neighboring areas of the city. He wasn't certain whether he was heading towards the right direction or sending himself further adrift.
All he could contemplate in that moment was finding the location before it became late in the real world. The thought of failing Katrina, his operator, on what's suppose to be simple task is worrisome in itself. She as other important matters to attend to, and doesn't have the time to purchase the essential items she needs herself.
Eversince they moved from Netfrica to study abroad it has been this way. But one thing was certain, it won't stay the same way as it is right now, he said to himself. Sooner or later we can pick up with our training again. Coqui then made a turn on the corner of street he was walking on. "Perhaps I could find a map somewhere nearby," he said.
All of sudden the crowd grew thicker as he kept walking deeper in between the other surrounding navis. As he was minding his own business, Coqui felt a faint tap behind his back, and jumped up for second. Having been caught by surprise; he turn around, and in front of him was a navi, a non-humanoid model, to which the stranger responded with a greeting of salutations and followed up with a question.
Coqui stood a brief moment as the sunlight reflected off his glasses shining brightly over Junkman. With his right hand he took his glasses off to wipe the lenses with the black-T he was wearing under his teal collared shirt that wasn't button up all the way. He looked at the stranger and said, "Nice to meet you, Junkman. My name is Coqui.
I don't know if I can be much of a help to you. I've only arrived recently myself to Element City not that long ago...
But I can try my best. What exactly do you need help with my friend?

JunkMan.EXE
The other Navi jumped when JunkMan tapped his shoulder. JunkMan jumped, too, wheeling back and throwing his arms up in surprise; he hadn't meant to scare the guy! What if he attacks me?!
His fears were groundless, of course. JunkMan kept his eyes on the Navi in front of him, his humanoid design similar to a few friends he'd had, a very long time ago . . . while his potential guide wiped off his glasses and responded in silence, JunkMan cast his eyes towards the ground, suddenly attacked by happy memories, but sad thoughts. He held up a claw, flexing the yellow metal, reminiscing of his only friends from Earth . . . were they still around? It was hard to keep track of time while floating around in space; especially when no one ever told him how to keep track of it! How long was he up there? Did humans and other Navis live that long? . . . Or were his friends gone?
He almost didn't hear the Navi when he started talking, again; what, with the hustle of the active city around him, and his own reverie, he had plenty of distractions. When he looked back at the Navi, he had just said something about a name - a name JunkMan missed! How could he be so rude? JunkMan just nodded like he was eagerly paying attention, hoping the name would come up again so he wouldn't have to ask for it.
At least the Navi wasn't attacking him. He admitted that he wouldn't be much help, but, offered to help, nonetheless. JunkMan knew Earth Navis were nice!
But, he posed an interesting question. Something that JunkMan hadn't exactly thought of: "What do I need help with?" he said, aloud, widening his eyes in surprise as he repeated the question. What did he need help with? JunkMan raised a claw arm to his chin, making a metallic clank sound as he tapped his chin, trying to get his thoughts together. "I . . . I don't know, actually," he admitted, lifting slightly so that he could rotate his body around on his belt wheel to survey the city.
"The city is so big . . . and I've never been on Earth before!" he exclaimed, ignoring the strange glances he got from nearby navis. "Well, I guess I have, but it wasn't for very long . . . you see, I'm from space!" he turned back towards his new friend, excited to tell someone else his story.
"They put me up in this big, floating mass of beautiful junk! I think it recorded weather or something . . . anyways! I got bored up there, so I started collecting junk to add to my collection! And then . . . oh!" he exclaimed, suddenly hit by an idea. Of course! Why hadn't he thought of it, sooner?
He suddenly wheeled up to his friend, his face serious but excited. "Do you know where MegaMan is? Or his friend, Roll?! They came and visited me in space, once! . . . No, twice!" he suddenly burst out, exclaiming rather than asking. "I haven't seen them in so long!"

"MegaMan?"
Uni casually trotted up to the two Navis, his height making him appear to be lurking, and his two massive trunks for legs didn't aid the speed of his pace.
"I have no info on a 'MegaMan'. Crush, any idea?"
A tiny screen appears next to Uni, with the words 'AUDIO ONLY' immersed across it.
Crush: "Well, Megaman was indeed a Navi, but that was quite a long time ago. He's been long gone since Lan, his Operator, died. I'm not too sure on the details, but he was known as the greatest warrior in history."
"JunkMan, correct? I am referred to as Uni, pleasure to meet you. If MegaMan is indeed gone, I am sorry to hear of your loss of friend. And.." Uni turned to Coqui "I'm sorry, I missed your name. What do you suitably go by?"

...near JunkMan, Uni, and Coqui, a tall, strong Navi walks by with a Navi slung over his shoulder. He smiles and waves to them as he makes his way to a nearby Navi-repair area and gently places the Navi that he holds on one of the beds, hooking him up.
Challenger: There we go; 'ya should be as good as new soon, lad.

Serix visibly sighed as she arrived in Element City. It was a place of pain and torment for her.
"Hey, boxer, ever hear the name Caliga?"
She stared at a lone blade stuck in the ground not to far from their position as she spoke. As she moved towards it, her whole body started shaking, and her eyes began to water.
