*A lot of memorable things were in Sharo for him, when all was put on the table when he thought about it. Either way he had memorized the way here without any problems during their escape last time. Beyond that ravine and through the changed topography, the frigid path would disappear behind him as he entered the dark caverns of the forgotten tundra. It doesn't take long for that same penetrating cold to kick in from last time. The dimly lit caves appeared to be entirely void of life, and no sound beyond the echoes of their own footsteps on the glassy, frozen floor ring out for even the most attuned ear to hear. Heading in a little deeper, the natural, rocky cavern walls end and what would best be described as a hallway begins. A barren path of blue-stoned walls that are cut like polished glass frame a glazed ice floor, frozen so solid that it doesn't even seem slippery despite the light dusting of snow that covers every inch. Rounding the final stretch to lead down the wayward hallway into the ruin, he could see that the ruins were in tact just as Var promised them. Now just came getting to the bottom of the mystery behind the importance of these ruins.*

#s://i~imgur~com/stQVi94~png Footsteps echoed behind Genesis, their owner revealing herself from the darkness of the cavern before long.
" Seems I missed out on quite a lot. "
Faith's voice wasn't as chirpy as it normally was, as if to revere the destruction laid upon the Cyber World just hours prior. She was lucky to have survived that in the Real World as well, considering that she was on a plane when it had happened and there were more than a few complications to deal with in that situation, but she seemed just fine.
Another convenience was that the digital lock-out on Sharo's borders were all but eliminated now, giving Faith free reign to return here even from another continent. Genesis had reached out to her just recently, so tracing his signal back here wasn't hard for anyone with her profession. That profession also picked up on the traces left behind from Warrior's visit before, indicating the slightest hints of where his journey led him.
" I suppose we owe Var our gratitude... "
She noticed more than just his absence, though, so it only begged to question what had become of the rest of the party.
" ... and the others? "
Not just Vanguard and Mistair, but even Centurion's and Armiger's absences had her concerned, especially considering the later's literal "attachment" to the Onyx Overlord.

*He had made sure to give her a fairly decent synopsis, mostly that the battle with Var had concluded and to see if she had managed to not be caught up in the massive shutdown notice that most obtained with no warning. It was good to see that she was just as tenacious on the outside as she was on the inside here.*
"The others are taking their time back where we battled Var at Eden. I wasn't as invested in the proceedings and wanted to make sure things around these parts were in better shape than we could hope for while checking in on you given what transpired. Centurion, Vanguard, and Mistair are fine, though Armiger got out a bit worse for wear so he's resting back up in Vanguard's tool belt."
*It was good to see that despite where she was stuck at during the assault that she managed to get out of it no worse for wear. Armiger had been fine too up until the finale that allowed him to come here now and check in on her. So while they gathered information at Eden, he would make sure that they didn't miss their chance at gathering the information on this side as well. It was just as likely they would lose their opportunity if they dawdled on the matter for too long.*
"Var thankfully was responsible enough in his carnage to give us something good out of this disaster. So we should take advantage of the remainder of that kindness and find out what was so vital to keep such a watch over."

#s://i~imgur~com/stQVi94~png She seemed relieved to hear the news as they continued onward through the frozen ruins.
" Right. The fact that they're not finished yet only means that worse is yet to come, and I'd hate to imagine what could be worse than the situation we're in now. "
In light of that, there was no time to waste pressing forward. Further questions from her could wait, as in reality, they'd probably answer themselves on the path ahead.

It was almost as if they could tell just by moving forward that the normal warden here was out. It was a familiar sense of desolation rather than an unfamiliar one. And their path ahead was relatively clear, devoid of any other presence but one another and silence as they were led further in. At least until they reached the dark expansive room and were able to make out the open elevator. They would be allowed to take it and go to any of the floors that were made accessible by another visitor before this. They would be able to access the bottom-most floor or any of the other floors if their desire was continued investigation of other portions of the ruins.

*He couldn't help but nod in agreement with Faith on that one. Many would say that this was already rock bottom for them short of the world truly being annihilated. But at the very least he could imagine that given their first attack hadn't quite done that, that was being saved for whatever worse was intended for them. As they continued on and made it to the elevator, he considered the other floors still. They could do a thorough investigation later, as he could tell that keys were used to access the other levels as it was. That meant the bottom floor was the one with the most relevance and their priority at least, setting it to take them there. This presence he could feel certainly was exactly who he expected would be left here then. And there was no better two equip to deal with that particular brand of calamity than they were. Death wasn't around their corner just yet after all. And he had no problem making it clear to Faith what they both should do now that the time had come to wrap this up with this foe.*
"Ready to settle this with that Horsemen once and for all?"

#s://i~imgur~com/stQVi94~png Faith followed along as the path seemed quite straight-forward to their destination. Normally, her mood dropped at the mention of Deav, but this time her face only showed determination and possibly excitement at the resolution that they moved toward now.
" I was born ready, Genesis. "
Whatever that meant to a Navi notwithstanding, both the literal and hypothetical incarnation of death had taken a leg up on her enough times in the past that she was ready to settle the score. And if nothing else, it'd be a feeling of redemption for her to finally have cleaned up most of the mess she had caused when instigating the Juno incident years ago.

The ride down had been quite long, a length that would let them know that they once again would find themselves underwater soon. And when the elevator opened, they would find themselves in a large and expansive room, clear on the sides to show the ocean all around them. Its integrity seemed sound enough given how deep they must have been where the water looked like little more than darkness, but they seemed to produce their own sort of illumination to keep things lit for them, small though it was. And before them was who they felt further above, the one who Faith had too many encounters with now.
"You two certainly are an unwelcome sight. But that just means Var failed in the end. The results of his continued sentimentality and worthless pride."

*He knew she was serious, but he couldn't help a light chuckle due to his imagination of Faith coming out of the womb, knife in hand and ready to throw down with Deav on the spot. For them it was easy to be born prepared to do their part, but after each encounter she edged even closer to succeeding over him. Now it would all come together for this moment, the last time she would have to deal with this problem. And with this just between them, it meant that they could handle this as they saw fit. He had taken note to look at the deep underwater again, meaning that prison camp wasn't the only thing lurking deep under the surface. The lack of any form of perceived sea life was curious, but not a concern since the work that needed doing was getting past him and seeing to everything else.*
"Death has no need of pride, I believe was what you said? All it means is that your end will be entirely devoid of it. Nothing foreign to you now I imagine, but Faith certainly has right of way to how it's done."
*The blade of black energy formed in his hand. Deav had no more tricks to play that could catch them unaware unless he learned some new ones. But there was a way around the likely trick he had in mind, one that he imagined Faith had considered as well given her tone before. Now then... it was time to take death off of the playing board.*

#s://i~imgur~com/eF3oRe3~png It wasn't noticeable until now that Faith's dagger was absent, else she would have certainly drawn it upon Deav's arrival. Its danger had been clearly telegraphed the last time she was online, so even though she was weaker without it, that exposure was worth denying the enemy's access to it, lest they physically acquire her PET and manage to break into it.
" Var at least had an excuse for his failure, by the sounds of it. Which is more than you'll be able to say for yours. "
She spoke with assurance: he would be bested by them, and it was just as simple as that. It echoed Genesis' own remarks, and despite not taking any stance or drawing any weapon herself, Faith was clearly ready for the ensuing fight.
" I know our feud has never been anything personal to you, so let's skip the formalities. Come at us, Deav -- I've waited long enough for my closure. "

With Faith it had began when she had shown a good sign of just that and was used because of it. And with Genesis it began in that forest. What Genesis knew now let him speak from a place of wisdom, a position that let him know well how he arrived where he was. And Faith's ability to twist the knife further without having one in her hand was impressive just the same as he raised his weapon level with them. The time for discussion was over.
"I truly have no desire for either of you to be around any longer. Let's end this."
The series of shots were unleashed as the deadly winds moved along with it. A more intense portion was directed toward Genesis, as he lunged forward with his death dealing strike just as he had before, directed at the Overlord all the same. It would draw his attention one way or another, so he would see to it that it began sooner rather than later.
Hyper Mode: The Reality of Death A slow, inevitable thing. Death exists, whether one likes it or not. And so long as it exists, so too does the one that embodies it. - Doubles the damage of one attack per turn. - Can add avoid separately to one attack through the turn. - Negates all outside damage buffs to attacks against Deav. - Negated damage buffs are applied to a number of attacks for Deav equal to how many were negated. 15 Turn Duration
Encroaching Demise Death is always looming, always approaching. Sometimes one's ally and at other's their enemy. Effects: For each turn that passes, one effect on the Pale Rider is increased by a numerical value of 1. Can sacrifice attack slots to increase the number of turns this applies by one. Passive.
Onslaught Increases the damage of two of Deav's attacks by 1,500. Fatality chosen.
Mortis @ Faith x 2 S-Attack Shadow Element A series of shots with death looming from one's own shadow. 600 x 5 DMG, Breaks Shields, Cuts Auras, Ignores Armor, Avoid Separately.
Deceased C-Attack Wind Element The wind of death that overtakes all. 1,000 DMG, Undodgable, Breaks Shields, Destroys Auras, Destroys Barriers, Hits All.
Fatality @ Genesis x 2 C-Attack Shadow/Wind Element Death that continues to take, until one is rotten and decayed. 4,000 DMG, Augments are twice as effective on this attack. Damage inflicted by this attack reduces the opponent's max HP. This attack inflicts its damage to the opponent for three turns after it hits. Bypasses avoidances with additional effects attached.
Pale Rider @ Genesis X-Attack Toxic Element The touch of death that concludes life. 10,000 DMG, Requires an additional avoidance to avoid this attack. Requires an additional skill use to avoid this attack. These effects bypass immunities. If hits, instantly deletes the enemy. Opponent can sacrifice their turn to instead negate the instant deletion effect and take damage from this attack instead.

" At the risk of sounding too confident, I'm going to request that I can have the final blow. But I'll need your word on that, Genesis. "
She clearly had something unorthodox in mind to have to ask for it, but if nothing else, his response would be an accurate indicator of how much trust he placed in her. To be clear though, she had no interest in the final blow of the encounter -- the one that would end the fight -- but rather the executing blow that would end Deav himself.
It wasn't necessarily a surprising request either, though. She had clearly shown her disdain toward him enough by now that she almost needed to be the one to finish him herself. Before any of that though, there were much more important matters to attend to. For starters...
... the BGM was hers to claim since it hadn't been set yet, but that was a matter to be resolved beyond the fourth wall where she dared not tread.
Having fought alongside Genesis and across from Deav many times before, they each knew who was best suited to handle each attack. In synchronized fashion, she and Genesis swapped places almost as if their movements were choreographed beforehand, allowing him to handle the weaker blows that he could shrug off but that would slow her down while Faith herself outmaneuvered the more impactful strikes that were initially intended for the sturdier of the two between them.
Fighting without her dagger was a backfoot she was ready to accept, but fighting alongside Genesis handily made up for that. Of the myriad, blade-esque sheathes hanging from her pockets, any one of them had the sharpness that her own dagger regularly held (considering she fought with the sheathe on most of the time anyway), so she wasn't as empty-handed as she appeared to be.
In a less-than-graceful but still surprisingly efficient manner, she hurled a handful of those bladed-sheathes at Deav to begin whittling away at him just as they had done in their last encounter -- this time having her plan in motion from the beginning rather than having to assess what was an entirely blank slate to her at the time.
" ... "
Despite their confidence, it was far from an easy fight to win and there were any number of spins that Deav could throw on them in the meantime. Without leaving room for error then, Faith kept her guard up and proceeded according to the agenda that would be Deav's reprisal.

"Confidence is founded with knowledge of your and your enemy's ability. I did say you had the right of way to how he would meet his end."
*He trusted her plan to be sound even if it would be unorthodox. He'd be looking forward to what she had in mind. He would move to meet the incoming assault rather than shy away from it alongside her with their collected experience with one another. With the sword in hand he would move to bat aside the shots deftly from the air and in rapid succession as the wind brushed against him in vain. Then came the touch of death that he was so fond of, Genesis calling back the sword as the energy flowed back into his gauntlet and coursed through to his other hand, a thin black veil coating the gauntlet then. And he would touch with death as he caught the hand in his own, as purple eyes stared back at Deav without flinching. Slowly however would the King be able to see the smirk that came to his face as he let go after, the message he desired having been sent without a single word said. And now he would see this over with in a flash. The sign of his cloak beginning to morph showed that he wasn't planning to waste time here. A crimson cape, part of it wrapped around the collar of his armor while the armor itself remained the same in color. Gaining a spike in several areas, being at the knees of both legs, the elbow of both gauntlets, and at both shoulders, a mask appeared over his mouth, while his eyes of violet remained on his prey. It was different than it used to be given he was missing something important to him now, but the white and silver magnum came to his left hand as he would pull the trigger, a destructive salvo being unleashed a number of times against the Avatar of Death.*

"Tch!"
They were utilizing their movement to the best of their ability, and even what had caused them trouble before had been something Genesis was able of halting outright. He grit his teeth as he kicked back from the Overlord's release, deflecting the sheathes with his cannon as he darted to and from as the carpet bombing commenced. In that case he would hold his hand up, the scythes forming and falling about the field around them as the ominous wind about him began to pick up. Last time he had done so at the end of their battle, but this time it appeared he was picking up the pace with it this time.

And down came the scythes, the objects she had become quite familiar with by now. These weapons were both sacred and deadly -- not to be touched, not to be tampered with, lest Deav is given complete ownership over their victim.
" ... "
But having waited so long for this encounter, Faith was more than prepared to handle them this time.
Faith was a skilled network technician and ethical hacker -- by no means the most talented of her trade, but experienced enough to be able to manipulate data in a number of ways. The reason any of her seemingly physical attacks had any real impact to such heavily armored foes was because, at the root of it all, they were just malware attacks made to look less harmful than they actually were. The non-threatening appearance of a punch or a kick would lower the target's expectations and thereby lower their guard, allowing her blows to get through with much less resistance than they actually demanded.
Similar augmentations could allow her digital body to endure more and perform more staggering feats than most would expect out of an otherwise normal woman, though the secret was harder to conceal the more she was shown to be able to accomplish. With no intent of keeping her power a secret any longer, however, a storm of white binary erupted around her body like a flaming aura with such density that it gradually lifted her off of the ground until the point that she was hovering high enough in the air to need to look down from where she was no suspended.
The white data -- composed of more than just 0's and 1's, but including even indecipherable characters and symbols that looked foreign to even the most trained eyes -- seemed to illuminate as it flowed around her and into her as a stream originating from every other entity present.
Even the scythes that Deav had summoned contributed their data to her enhanced state, breaking apart almost immediately after their creation under the strain of her presence. While it empowered Deav as a result, the question now was whether she would siphon more from their destruction than he would.
And its answer was all but imminent.
Holding both hands skyward, she began amassing an orb of the glowing binary digits above her, amalgamating into a massive white sphere that housed a specific Giga Chip at its epicenter, spinning wildly as she funneled this data into it.
Nothing more came for now, and if it proceeded as planned, nothing would need to come after.

She shows restraint until her enemy shows vulnerability. ° During her Supportive Phase, Faith can reallocate her stats using these ratios ° -120 Base Damage = +120 Regen (or) +60 Armor (or) +1 Attack Slot ° -240 Regen = +60 Base Damage (or) +60 Armor (or) +1 Attack Slot ° -120 Armor = +60 Base Damage (or) +120 Regen (or) +1 Attack Slot ° -2 Attack Slots = +60 Base Damage (or) +120 Regen (or) +60 Armor ° These reset on her next Supportive Phase when she may reallocate them again ° Conversions can only occur in these increments and cannot reduce a stat below 0 ° Faith cannot have passive HP, Armor, Regen, Attack Slot, or Base Damage Skills. Passive Allocation Spent 8 AS - 2 × 3 = +720 Regen 500 Base Damage - 120 × 4 = +960 Regen
