Tsk. More vile games..
Mary stood once more, dusting herself off. She knew that things were off, but now things were getting ridiculous. That wasn't considering Plaguemans breakdown toward the unidentified entity. She didn't want to risk Plague coming for her next while she was cornered and the possibility of her defenses failing with these unknown surges.
"Error coding, listen here."
She spins out her old warfare machine gun, as well as materializing her main saber back and beginning to play a few chords to calm Plague down. A rare thing for her to do, perhaps she cared a little bit.

#s://i~postimg~cc/7LJkkG2V/image~png K-414 lifted up a navi by the leg, swaying it slightly from side to side as he snorted. "Weak," the creature grunted beneath its breath before tossing the body to the side. He had noted that there was a lack of... logging out, now. It was simply just death. It was curious, to see such a thing. K-414 didn't put much thought into it, as he was never designed to. As a basic program, he didn't have the same autonomy as a Navi did, and yet he was still able to at least put together some coherent thought on the situation.
Granted, that thought was simply that these Navi and programs he was finding should have been stronger if they wanted to survive this. They had not been, and hence they had fallen- there was no fault but their own.
As the body was tossed aside, the brute gave a sharp inhale, before realizing that there was something on the horizon that his systems told him that he recognized. "I'm going up there," he announced to his NetOP, and before Richard had a chance to say different, K-414 began to rush forward, an violent curiosity driving him.

Slypner
The scrap burying the entity within is lifted and hurled across the room, knocking into one of the pylons. The lights and noise emanating from it coming to an abrupt halt with the impact.
What lay beneath the rubble was modestly lump of light-green tinted metal. From it jutted three pin-pointed protrusions. One of which twitches in the exposed air. Another protrusion drastically shorter than the others indicates possibly more extensions. However this one looks as though it had been removed forcibly.
...
Familiarity urging him forward K-414 bounded over heaps of reaverbots, New Life rubble, and more. The haze of an impending brawl heavy on his senses. In a matter of minutes he arrives at the rim of a massive collapse. Immediately recognizing this as the very place of the Life Virus' containment facility. While he had not ventured inside from this location. This was where he had been extracted after the battle.
The digital sun at his back cast a looming shadow over two navis and the two hunks of machinery beside them. He needed no confirmation from his sensors. There a mere few hundred feet away near the epicenter. He had found what he hoped, Genesis. ...and Embera

#s://i~postimg~cc/7LJkkG2V/image~png As the brute came forward, he recognized where he was currently located, given the fact that this particular version of the unit had been the one who had tangled with the Life Virus. This was where it had been contained, and finding himself here again was both interesting and a bit curious all the same.
However, this particular version of the program had no interactions with Genesis nor Embera. Despite the Onyx Overlord deleting the program fairly recently, and the somewhat extensive rivalry that K-414'd had with Embera for a time, all of that was data simply stripped of any identifiers, with the raw combat data the only thing that had been placed into this particular version of the unit.
And so as he approached, his claws itching with anticipation- he had no idea who these two were. They weren't viruses, and hence he didn't particularly have a mounting animosity toward them as one might expect. Granted, who knew if the reverse may be true.
"You two look stronger than the rest of the rabble," the brute roared, giving a stomp into the ground, regardless of whether or not they were conscious. "You're not dead yet, at least."
--
In the Animus Syndicate labs, Richard leaned back in his chair a bit as he examined these two through the data that was being fed back from K-414 into the computer before him. What could these two possibly be doing here?
"K-414..."
--
RAM: Check to see if they are still functioning. If so, we'll need to get them out of here.
"Fine," the beast growled, beginning to approach the pair, unknowing on who they were. "Bill" Genesis

PlagueMan.ERR
The swordswoman next to him summoned another sword, as well as some sort of gatling weapon, and began using it as a make-shift instrument. He turned his attention to her. The scintillating colors of his eyes, the usual shades of sickly greens, purples, yellows, and blues were being overtaken by his erroneous code. He had been slowly shifting towards his red colors for a while now, taking less care to force his code to take on a new color. It simply took up resources to not look like what he truly was. He bored down on her with these red eyes, his vision slightly shifting away from her as a Navi, and giving to his ability to see her down to her data files.
He heard the first of her chords and shook his head, the strange sounds mixing wildly with the static in his mind. His audio processing files were corrupted, making everything sound so strong, so strange. Navi voices were easy to handle, and he mostly filtered out background ambiance; this music was close, and, at first, he didn't like it. As she played, however, he visibly relaxed and felt some of his anger melt away. Some of his outer forms shifted back to their usual shades of brighter, less dangerous colors as he commanded more control over himself.
The whole of his shell rippled like a wave over choppy waters, the number of small red dots being overtaken by the shifting hues of his controlled state. This was the best analogy for a deep breath that he had, even if his form was still dripping away bits of red data and suffusing the air around him with static. He was in control. He opened his purple eyes and simply nodded his thanks to Mary before he turned his attention back to the little green insectoid.
"It's hurt," he commented, tilting his head as he noted its torn up pieces. "And likely scared. It's of no wonder that it lashed out . . ." his voice trailed off, here, taking a closer look at the little moving pieces. It looked very reminiscent of something he felt he should recognize. The little thing had the feel of a virus to it, and with his rage gone, he felt very upset for having lashed out at it. That was not his typical response, and he felt the remorse crash down upon him like a vice.
Taking control of his emotions before he started turning blue, PlagueMan reached out with a single hand to place it upon the injured creature. He took his static back in, retreating the long tendrils of red code that seemed to eat away at the world around him, and, instead, touched the little creature with a hand that injected some of his own rapidly reproducing code into it. Much as he had with Mary, he intended to heal it. "I hope that you would forgive me. I find it more difficult to control myself - please, accept this in repentance."
Within Genesis, the master of the hive suddenly perked up from its slumber, taking the majority of his resources back from the collective underground. Red dots streamed from Genesis' flesh and formed into a single red eye that floated just around the onyx overlord's body, looking around, suddenly feeling . . . something. A familiar data signature. As a program designed to destroy and consume other programs, he could detect a program that was akin to one he had assaulted before, and he felt something just like that nearby.
The bugged conglomerate's eye floated around the Onyx Overlord before it rested just behind his back, noting the lumbering figure coming towards them.
It couldn't be . . . he trapped him. He should still be falling through the map that he got clipped through. He made sure that destructive thing could never hunt anyone ever again; how was he here? He welled up his fear, first, and his protective measures second. He wreathed the onyx overlord in his personal layer of red code, giving him a coat of iridescent reds to outline his already imposing figure.
He decided to stay hidden in this state, having no need to create a confrontation where none currently existed.

*Embera too, seemed to spring to life as the Animus program approached them. Hearing the netOP speaking, Embera let out a hearty laugh.*
Embera: Well heya....you're that Animus Navi right? The one with the self-righteous indignation for viruses. I heard you totally soloed the Life Virus a bit ago! Good on ya! And your operator, Rich, yeah? Good on ya!
*Embera seemed rather spry and excitable as she loosened up. Looking over to Genesis, seeing Plagueman just sort of....morphing out of him, she made a squeamish face. She didn't like this...thing all that much, that clung to others for sustenance and survival. It reminded her too much of her weaker self. Regaining her cheerful approach, she gestured to Genesis.*
Embera: Oh! Don't worry, he just gets like this sometimes. Happens more often than we like to admit, but I'm almost certain that he'll come back to us in a little bit.
*As she explains the situation, Embera makes a point to dust off Genesis, making sure that Plagueman wasn't moss or something else growing over the Overlord's motionless body. Brushing his silver hair and shaking out his cape, Embera took special care to shine his onyx armor so she could see herself.*
Embera: There! Looks like he just walked in! Gen, we got some friends!

*The scientist shutting the door didn't stir him. He didn't reply when Embera first showed up either and missed Edge all the same. It was pretty apparent that he wasn't all there then, because he was somewhere else at the time. Reminding himself of words he had heard before and scenes he had seen before. Harsh lessons of irresponsibility, inaction, and powerless... some even where power just wasn't enough. Situations he yet had answers for. He was thinking about how he could be in another one all the time, all these years in, and still with nothing to show for it. Still nothing to change the fact that those he was close with could walk out of his life or be shut out of his life permanently. So around the time he was about to come out of being catatonic, he felt a force hit him, blinking once then. Had he been attacked while he was out of it again? ...No. Not this time, at any rate. That was PlagueMan he felt.*
"Embera? Thanks."
*By this point she was used to it and he was used to her finding him in it. He would say he should really do something about that, but he had said something along the lines of that before. So instead kept taking in the situation, which wasn't hostile at first but often quickly devolved into that if K-414 was on a mission. Last time it was to stop him at the border, which was mission failure on the K-Unit's part. If he took down the Life Virus then that meant he had some improvements since last time. If anything he was fine with the fact that he was typically a clean slate when he came back. He had reached where he shouldn't have.*
"You haven't had to attack anything, have you?"
*He figured he could ask PlagueMan this before this went from a meeting to a brawl if it was about to. PlagueMan wasn't exactly on the list of things the Animus Syndicate were okay with. But they weren't okay with a lot of things so he didn't entirely care for their take on it.*

*As Genesis blinked back to active consciousness, he would be greeted with the familiar warm smile of Embera. She expressed a relieved, joyous sigh as she noted Genesis seemed no worse for wear. In these times of intense turmoil, Embera found a soft comfort in the Onyx Overlord that she didn't have before. In all this unknown, the one constant was Genesis' loyalty and care...she hoped. Through all of Embera's attentiveness, and nurturing, there hid a seed of fear. A fear that her closest and most trusted friend could turn as well. After all, if Finale worked for Gate...and with Zane...Behind the pseudo-facade, Embera held an uneasy fear, that even her most safe comfort in Genesis' company could come crumbling down. Her heart fluttered in her throat, as she continued her smiling nonchalant demeanor.*

"There's no need to thank me."
Mary dematerialized her weapons and started to walk over towards Plague and the blob.. thing.
"This.. thing. I have seen many things in my lifetime. This is not something I recognize."
Mary walked to the side of Plague and examined the hole above. Surely, this tiny thing couldn't have caused that much ruckus. If it was injured as Plague said it is, could it have been fighting something? That would further explain the strange anomaly earlier..
"Error boy, are you sure there's nothing else up there? Could it be possible something else is concealing their presence?"

Slypner Plagueman goes to lay their hand on the damaged being, but the hand never meets metal. Instead coming to rest on a near translucent green veil that permeated the form of this creature. The aura implicitly denies Plagueman entry to the systems it sought to restore.
Kkk! It shouts, muffled by the debris that it half remained in. It begins wriggling viciously back and forth to free itself. Legs twitching rapidly, grasping for something to aid it but finding only air. After a few moments of helplessness it simply stops moving... Apparently having given up.
Above them, Mary gazes intently into the hole in the ceiling. Finding only darkness on her scanners... Perhaps the labyrinthine ruin houses more secrets?

PlagueMan.ERR
[Underground]
PlagueMan scrunched his eyes as this little green aura permeated from the scuttling creature, studying it intently. Watching it struggle against the debris coating it, he didn't even hear Mary's next sentence.
Reaching out with a hand, he touched the remaining debris that was holding it down, beginning to break down and dissolve the little bits of code. Careful to stop the flow of destructive data before it got to the little creature, he removed everything else keeping it pinned down.
Then, moving his hand back, he collected a large pool of corroded data in his palm. A mass of red, swirling dust, like red sand, formed around his hand, and he shaped it into a long, needle-like structure. Rearing his arm back, he attempted to shove his new weapon through the green aura, as it should be able to pierce even the most protective of aura-based defenses. Hoping to inject a little of his code into the cretin the old fashioned way, PlagueMan once again moved to heal it.
[Surface]
PlagueMan retracted his floating eyes as the Onyx Overlord returned to consciousness, doing his best to ignore how upset he was as the animus syndicate's dog approached, as well as the "care" Embera took to make sure he wasn't like an overgrown sheet of moss.
Finding this treatment debasing, PlagueMan retreated a large portion of his red cloud back within Genesis and resigned to simply keeping watch. "No, Genesis; I didn't attack anything. Not yet, anyways. The beast approaching us is not exactly on good terms with me, and if he detects me within your systems, we're going to have a situation on our hands.
"Would you prefer me to exit as to not create conflict? Or would you prefer to keep me at hand?"
His voice was pained as he asked his question, noting with keen awareness just how much of a burden he was upon Genesis. The wrong hit, the wrong move, any miscalculated step, and Genesis would be hunted by the same things apparently intent on making his life more difficult. He could accidentally harm things around him, get to that intense anger yet again, or, worse - provoke an engagement simply for what he was. He did not want to force that upon his protector and host, and thought it best to provide an alternative.

#s://i~postimg~cc/7LJkkG2V/image~png K-414's gaze flickered from Embera, who had greeted the wolven program with a great deal of exuberance that he didn't really bother to match, as well as the Onyx Overlord himself, to which K-414 didn't really bother to answer at first. Wheatever the fiery woman was on about, it seemed as if K-414 should kind of...know who this other navi was? The crimson gaze from the eyes of the brute that stood opposite them merely flickered now and again as it 'blinked' in some sort of show of its own lifelike nature.
All the same, he could detect aberrant data within Genesis... but at the moment, he didn't see enough of a cause to attack. His mission was to find surviors of the attack upon New Life, and he had found them. He just wasn't sure what to do with them from here. "Designation K-414," the brute responded back to Embera after a moment. "The Life Virus has been dealt with, yes," the beast growled, looking past the pair into the remnants of its containment unit for a moment, recalling the battle... and remembering who he'd seen there.
He could sense some sort of...something from Genesis, but K-414 didn't have a point to attack. There was no virus, necessarily, and as such, the brute didn't launch into an offensive against the other. Granted, with both of them there, the wolf-like program didn't really believe that he'd be able to succeed. "The Animus Syndicate had been dispatched to locate survivors, and if necessary, offer what assistance could be provided to restore those who can fight to a better state. Those who were weak died in...this," the anti-viral program growled, gesturing to the devastation aroundt hem. "If you've not perished, then you are strong."
It was a simple observation, but a true one nonetheless.
RAM: We had not been present during the goings-on above ground while K-414 dealt with the Life Virus below. We have seen the supposed feeds from New Life, but eye-witness accounts do much more to sate my...curiosity.
K-414 didn't add onto this, the lumbering beast not built for diplomacy or social situations. He was built to eviscerate, and without a target, he felt out of his element.

*It was good that she was still able to smile and good that PlagueMan hadn't had to attack anything yet. K-414 for better or worse was on a tight leash, so if he was assigned a task it was unlikely for him to veer from it. Even if he did, it wouldn't change what he would say or do. He had waited until everything was said and done before he chimed on in. He wouldn't deny that the weak generally were the ones to perish in the aftermath time and again, something Zane had chastised them about before. Especially him and Embera given their approach to confrontations. And the Overlord didn't feel like answering RAM, but he had no reason not to either so he may as well start there.*
"As far as New Life is concerned, the army that attacked was primarily composed of those Reaverbots from Juno and what I presume to be several other autonomous weapons. Either Juno is back or something has picked up where he left off. Whatever dealt the finishing blow to the ONB came from above it."
*He couldn't tell from how far above it either given they had to leave soon after. But given the altitude and where New Life was going it was pretty obvious that it came from closer to the Galaxy Network. If the attack could be launched from there, penetrate New Life, and still strike all the way down here, it was quite the attack indeed. But this time he had other priorities than considering the amount of firepower behind the weapon.*
"There's nothing for you to be worried about, PlagueMan. You don't need to exit from anything. 414 just isn't on good terms with anyone or anything."
*The canine really just wanted to fight and he could respect that. Aside from that, he had already said that the aberration could stick around. He wouldn't abandon him simply because he could cause him problems or be a burden and given the pain in his voice, had to make certain that he was aware of that now. Especially since in a way he could also end up dragging PlagueMan into a conflict due to his own actions. One way or another he was going to have him on a rather violent trail soon.*
"And you too, Embera. I'm not going anywhere."
*Genesis stepped forward to this time take her into a hug instead, holding the embrace for a time after he did. Everything that was concerning him would be hitting her just as hard... no, even harder than it was hitting him. And she was the one who taught him about how to deal with it at times. What to do when you felt your world crumbling all around you. It was a spiral he was caught in for a long, long time before anyone managed to get him to come out of it for once.*
"As long as I am who I am, that will never change. I'll fight the battles that I have to fight, but I won't leave you alone."
*The only change was that now he couldn't shrug off dying. But in that case he just had to not get himself deleted while fighting this time. If that was all it was that he had to do so he wouldn't cause her any further grief on his part, then that was an easy enough endeavor. He held her for a bit more of a spell before he let her go, offering her an earnest smile in return.*

Slypner Removing the remaining junk clouding the creature revealed it to be none other than a... virus? Clearly not a navi leaving this a safe conclusion. Plaguemans bugged strike pierces the aura of the creature effortlessly. The needle jabbing into the being and immediately beginning to corrode the creature. However it's effects not immediately noticeable. However the man sized virus began to frantically skitter about, it's now visible 4 remaining legs scraping air furious while it tried to wriggle itself onto them.
*k-klik! Whirrrrr...* The beeping startup of machines begins to hum, having finished rebooting their systems after plagueman transported them to the surface. Immediately, K-414, Embera, and Genesis(also Plagueman) begin to feel an incredible drain on their systems. A feeling not unlike gravity crushing down on them, yet completely different. To these beings of might the feeling was a foreign one physically. Their vast powers being drai-... and then it returns. The whirring stops and each machines stops with a shutdown... why?

*Embera was still rather defensive in mind, getting lost in her anxious thoughts again, until she felt Genesis' embrace. In this moment, all was well. Everything was okay, and nothing else mattered. Leaving the security of his hug, Embera returned a playful and happy smile back, almost asking for that feeling to never end.*
Embera: So what's the plan right now? I came by to talk about what's been going on with me, but it seems you're tangled up with--eh?!
*She felt it almost immediately. She knew what it was like to be siphoned, and her knees almost buckled. Normally something like this wouldn't be an issue, given her almost bottomless reserves of energy, but she was already funneling most of her power into the Somnium Cross, causing her to feel nauseous. Leaning back on Genesis for a second, she shook her head as the feeling subsided. Blinking a few times, she still couldn't really make sense of it.*
Embera: Whoa, what was that?
