*Genesis couldn't help but grin then. It looked like he managed to accomplish his goal twofold then. Most importantly, he knew that Rosso was almost certainly frustrated that just happened. And that was something he was all too familiar with. Once his focus was shattered in a fight, a series of mistakes could be made just by pressing the right buttons. He had gotten better at it, but no one was flawless. The same could be said for those who were confident in themselves. Once something went out of their favor, they often lashed out violently.*
"What's wrong? I thought trashy losers could only die loudly? Why are you so quiet now, then?"
*There was quite the vicious smirk on his face then. He made a different move than relying on his sword this time, an unfamiliar gun forming in the air that he caught in hand. A white and silver magnum, much larger than Genesis himself would commonly use. And then he fired several shots, each sounding like thunder with the sole intent of annihilation. It was likely not a weapon that belonged to him, but a powerful one all the same.*

To say that he was already enraged was putting it kindly. He couldn't believe he had slipped and allowed Genesis to do such a thing. But what came after, those words that he practically spit at him? That was the straw that broke the camel's back. The azure flames that coated the sword took on an obsidian hue black as night itself, his eyes almost becoming bloodshot from his rage being tipped far beyond its boiling point. Did he think he could get away with saying that?! To him, of all people?! He honestly did believe such nonsense. And that nonsense would cost him dearly. So much so that he couldn't find the proper words to express how thoroughly he was going to eradicate him and everything else along with him!
As the shots came he lifted his free hand, each plummeting into it and leaving a singed mark on his palm. Ignoring the assault after is when he reared the sword back, the black flames causing heat to increase so intensely that it looked like the sword and Rosso himself had multiplied. And then the flames surged around him like a whirling inferno, the firestorm of black spinning fiercely before it was brought down just like a sword would be. The network was giving off all sorts of error messages, Rosso's concern for that a non-factor entirely. The network deserved to be wiped out with them.
-
Resonance was able to make his way through the castle unimpeded. The primary guardian that was inside already being conquered, he managed to make it deeper and deeper inside. And as he did, he would notice that he had made it to part of the catacombs beneath Rammount itself. And he could hear familiar machines and chatter, encroaching further upon them. And then he would notice them, researchers all at work on something. It was in the dark, but it looked like whatever they were doing they were slowly wrapping things up now. They had finished what they needed to do and was getting ready to leave now, but were so busy that they hadn't noticed him at all as well.

There it was.
Genesis had baited the attack out of Rosso, and the unnamed Navi knew that this would be his chance. His thrusters ignite with a white flash and he dashes between Rosso and Genesis. His hands were already encased in the tell-tail blue energy, but it was already far too later to stop. The destroyer reaches forward both hands and grits his teeth against the power, already knowing where this would go. The unknown Navi braces himself, and puts everything that he has into his defensive abilities as the power of firy Armageddon is brought down right into his hands. The energy itself seems to take tangible form in the destroyer's hands, solidifying as he strains against the heat and power. Each second that he holds his position, he can feel his body weakening and cracking under the pressure, yet he holds on. With one final yell, the destroyer rips the attack from the air and wields it in his own hands, his blood red eyes looking to Roso with an intense and burning force.
The Armored Destroyer now stands, charred and nearly broken in such a short time with the sheer black power of Rosso's hellfire chaotically erupting from his palm. However, this would not be where the destroyer ends it.
With his thrusters fully active, the Armored Destroyer dashes forward, positioning himself behind Rosso and opposite Genesis, near where Rosso had originally been standing. In his new position he looks to Genesis with his nearly broken gaze and nods. This is when the blood red visor drops from the overhang of his helmet. Raising an arm, the destroyer elongates the barrel of his cannon like a rifle as he absorbs the black flames into his own damaged body. The power causes him to over-heat in a matter of moments, yet still he holds his hand forward, charging up one single attack for the finish.
Resonance remains in the shadows of the catacombs, finding himself somewhat on edge. The entire scene seems... oddly familiar. He continues silently and carefully, doing his best to ensure that he's not seen. He slowly moves toward the main center of the researchers' works, attempting to make out what exactly they're trying to do....
To say the least, this was going far deeper than expected.

*Honestly speaking if that same bait was used against him in a different manner he would've lashed out just as well. Things were going relatively well as it were, but Rosso's attention would turn towards the nameless destroyer now that he had taken that power for himself. Genesis had to deal with some of the backlash himself, thrusting Fate into the ground to hold himself in place as the flames burned at him. The aura from the sword rose up to surround him, reducing some of the damage now as the gun disappeared after, the use from it done as he dropped to one knee. He hadn't taken the full force of any of the blows like the destroyer had, but being in close proximity still left its mark. No wonder all the lesser navis in the area had been outright annihilated at this point. And recovery was stymied to put it lightly, moving to stand to no avail as the black data started to flow from both gauntlets, his cloak starting to even turn into data now.*

In hindsight giving in to his rage and lashing out like that was foolhardy, but there was no harm no foul because of it. The Armored Destroyer was preparing for his attack still, which left him all the time he needed to tear into him before that attack even took place. And it looked like the Onyx Overlord wasn't up for attacking yet, or even if he were, he wasn't the priority given what just happened. He would turn that nearly broken gaze into an completely broken one right this instant. So he turned on his heel to meet the Destroyer, the star above steadily getting ready to unleash another attack as well. But the black flame burst back around the sword, not aiming to simply burn him to cinders with that flame. This time he thrust alongside it, the flame launching like a jet while he moved toward the Armored Destroyer with the full intention of impaling him before he could take the shot that he was lining up with that weapon of his that had brought a close to many a battle before this one.
-
As Resonance started to move closer, he managed to spot what they were finishing up with to his likely immense horror. It was a massive beast, lying down on the ground as its breath was low yet steady. One of the great menaces that survived to this day as a monstrous force that rampaged and terrorized the net. With its yellow-gold mane and green-teal form, the wolf-like Cybeast laid in what looked to be an inactive yet active state. And the reason behind the fierce resistance at this castle network became all too clear on what it was they were keeping them away from.
"Wait, who in the world are you?"
One of the researchers who finished sending his information to where it needed to go finally spotted the lurking OEL Navi at this point. But it was all too late for them to notice him now, nor were any of them exactly in the position to do anything about him either.

*...And the data from the cloak began to swirl around him, engulfing him as it started to take shape once more. His cloak morphed as it becomes a crimson cape, part of it wrapped around the collar of his armor before pushing back, resembling demonic wings as his armor gained a crimson glow. Spikes appeared on several parts of his armor, the knees of both legs, the elbow of both gauntlets, and at both of his shoulders as a mask covered his mouth, violet eyes glimmering with unadultered power. The pale white aura that the sword gained had scarlet mix with it, the very symbols of the sword appearing on the chest of his armor as well. The cords of the Black Diamond laced about each finger, the crest of it on both hands now, the fusion of the two modes complete. And the seals on the sword were released, a power he hadn't utilized in some years now.*
"Rend, Final Edge."
*Four circles would appear in the air around him, all connecting back to him as white energy surged up. And then he brought the blade forward, all four circles firing off their own immense rays of light as he unleashed a torrential wave of force with this attack. It had another catch to it too, two things that he noted earlier: the property he utilized in his first successful cut... and the power of the field that was around him. He had added the power of it several times over into this blow, an ability he had mastered and would normally utilize with just Fate's own aura, this time doing it with both instead. And then one final catch as well...*
*It wasn't focused just on Rosso himself. It was intended to blast even beyond him and into the Armored Destroyer. But this third and final catch had an improvement to it compared to other times. One that his rival would notice in an instant no doubt. This attack wouldn't be harmful to him. It could offer all the power of the attack to him, but none of the damage that it ordinarily would, instead able to invigorate him instead. A technique that he had developed for a number of reasons, this time aiding them in one of the few times they found themselves with a mutual, formidable adversary.*

The destroyer stands with all of the power in the world poised against him, standing defiantly against the onslaught of fire and brimstone. Rosso's blow was poised to end this in one swift strike, while the Destroyer himself looks on from behind the barrel of his most powerful weapon. One moment to end it all. Out of the corner of his eye, the nameless Navi saw that Genesis had gotten the signal. The sight and sound was downright ominous; two of the greatest Navis on the net both bringing their strength out for the final blow. This would be the final moment, the deciding strike, the second of do-or-die for the unnamed Navi!
Just as Rosso closes the gap and makes his finish, the barrel of the destroyer's main weapon suddenly recoils and returns to normal. His hand sparks, and in the blink of an eye, the black inferno that he'd wielded just moments before erupts from his palm once again
This is the moment when it all comes crashing down. The nameless Navi cuts the black hellfire blade around with all of his might. At this perfect moment, the obliterating power from Genesis makes its final approach and is deflected flawlessly by Rosso's own power. At this exact same moment, Rosso would learn just what it was like to clash with himself, as the empowered blade, still holding the hellfire of its initial wielder, clashes with Rosso's own sword in an upward swing.
And this is when the full nature of the armored Navi's plan comes to light. As he finishes the strike, he releases the entire conglomerate of sheer cataclysmic force and throws it skyward. Rosso's power, Genesis' power, and the Armored Destroyer's own power all join in perfect chaotic harmony... directly into the artificial sun that hovers above!?: I was made to kill one who stands above any ideal or power that you could ever know....
....amid the chaos, smoke, and rubble, the Armored Destroyer is cloaked from sight... yet something far more now stands before Genesis and Rosso. This Navi, static in nature and appearance, now stands with a calm and almost frightening demeanor. Through the smoke, two things could be ascertained; his visor is in place again, and the horns that adorn his helmet now reach to the heavens above. A small change, but for those who had understanding of the situation, they would know that this is no longer the Armored Destroyer....
?: ....even if you kill me this day, you are powerless to stop me!
The eerily calm words of this Navi are broken by one final show. With power beyond anything that he'd ever shown, the Armored Destroyer launches one final assault. Not on Rosso, but on the area itself. The localized network just short of Genesis himself explodes into a white ball of fury around the Armored Destroyer. The entire network reels and rocks beneath the raw pressure that the destroyer unleashes. And from this final ball of chaos and death he rises. Just behind his deflected attacks he takes his place in the sky like a bird of pray, stretching his hands out with his back turned to the sun. He looks down on the battlefield, hidden from sight by the shining light of Armageddon behind him, and holds himself in position with every thruster on his body. This was the final gammit, and in the end either Rosso or the Destroyer would fall at the hand of this composite power.....well, that was unexpected. Resonance continues to move close, until... he's spotted. Resonance rolls his eyes and quickly reviews his options. He then quickly turns with a kind, almost dumb smile on his face and speaks to the scientist Navi with a wave.
Resonance: OEL Elite 09820: Project Chord. I'm here to help out with the evac.
He hoped that it would work. He was tired from the previous fight, and wanted nothing more than to peacefully work out a way out of the situation.

Just as he made his move, Genesis made it all too clear that he wasn't down yet either. He was simply playing the part to lure him into this culmination of their efforts. And thanks to that effort, his strike was parried and ultimately managed to be added to the attack that was launched up to Gehenna itself! He had been strung along by the two of them all too well, his rage finally coming full circle. If he lived within it, then he was absolutely going to be driven back.
"Tch!"
And then the change happened, the Armored Destroyer becoming more than he once was. And then his next attack rocked the network itself, shaking Rosso even as he skid back ever so slightly and looked up to the sky. Genesis at the back, the Destroyer at the front. Either way the only way forward would be through the power that had been turned against him. His efforts to prevent this had fallen short of their mark... but he wasn't bested quite yet. He had an answer still, one that none of them knew as well. And it would have to be forced out of him today as well.
"Blaze, return!"
Like a comet, a streak of flame slammed into Rosso then. Whatever it had done couldn't be said, but his gaze had stayed locked on the Destroyer. He would just have to unleash an attack that would shatter both of his prey at the same time. He lifted up into the air himself, but not as high as the changed navi. He was in a middle-ground between the Destroyer and Genesis. But he had no intention to flee, but only to assert what he "was" made to do.
"And I was made to kill everything that stands as part of this current world. So as the Pyroclasm, I'll end this."
He prepared his sword now, lifting it up as a small sphere formed at the tip of the blade, the flames around the sword all collected into it. But it wasn't going to be some sort of shot that was fired upward. The impact of this nova was designed to wipe out everything. And so it exploded, launching upward and downward like his namesake as the world was bathed in orange and black flames. The goal to devour both the changed warriors altogether.
-
"...Alright. We need to be quick now. With all the fighting going on here we have to hurry. This thing is set to wake up shortly."
Which meant that they would all be the first targets in such a situation as well. And as the first targets in that particular direction and one tired to fight and the rest never in a condition to fight? They would end up as chew toys in seconds. Even if they had their suspicions, they would much rather agree with him and have him actually help with the evac than stick around.

*This would be the final push in the battle against Rosso. And the armored Navi had managed to launch it all into the artificial sun on high, taking on a new form all his own at the end of this exchange of blows. And while he still did not know the Armored Destroyer's purpose for what he was created to do, he did know this much about the navi. He was strong. He had driven Genesis out of the stagnant position that he had reached for a number of reasons, but the strength that he always had to exceed expectations was one such reason. That raw pressure that was used to launch himself up in the air behind that hellish sun was something that Rosso had responded to in kind. So he couldn't rest on his laurels either. He had another trump card that he was saving up, but there was no time like the present.*
*The spikes on his armor began to curve just a bit, the demonic wings becoming as four instead of two. One of his violet eyes, his left, became orange as black covered the schlera of both of his eyes. The final mastery of this power that he obtained, that he completed after his attack on the border here in Netopia. And a power that possessed the purpose of simply evil incarnate. Annihilation without a cause. He had managed to give it a cause, at long last. And he would put that to the test in this bid of strength between their two sides. He planned to take their attacks all at once. So be it, then.*
"And I don't care what you were made for. I don't intend to reach my end here."
*Gathering up his strength, an influx of power blankets the field as orange light bathed the area around him and behind him in its glow. The eyes of the Onyx Overlord flashed, as an explosion of gray energy erupted forth that erased the orange light as Fate returned into his gauntlet. It more like to say that she had become a part of it instead, the gray energy focusing around it next. And the blow that was to follow wasn't aimed upward, but was a strike to the ground with that very same fist that unleashed an explosion of phenomenal proportions. It pulled in and it destroyed, like a collapse of space itself that would meet the cataclysmic nova that Rosso unleashed from his side. The attack to help box in their target for the composite power that the Destroyer would unleash in short order.*

The nameless one curses under his breath as Rosso brings yet another cataclysm forth. He expected a last-ditch attempt from the hellfire Navi, but he honestly did not think that he could still muster this much power. As the cackling flames of death begin to surge and prepare to devour all that remains of the network, the Armored Destroyer's attention is unexpectedly taken not by Rosso, but by the Onyx Overlord. This change... this was something that he hadn't seen in all of their fights. It was something both unique and new to the nameless Navi. And this is a fact that causes him to curse under his breath. Genesis had proven himself nothing short of formidable from that first day that he brought the broken destroyer back to the Revolution base, but how did he keep attaining new and greater power? Despite the anger, he can't help but feel a little respect for this Navi... especially now.
This was it. Thrusting his hands forward, the Destroyer's body suddenly lights up in a shroud of sinister power. Surges of black and red lightning overtake his entire form as he drives himself to the absolute brink of his power. And this is also the moment when something else appears; a set of three tell-tail red "W"s spawn from the air and encircle him for a moment, empowering him even farther and renewing his fortitude for one final time. This is the moment when the lenses on his shoulder-pads light up with the same red energy that sparks across him, and the moment that he releases his personal most deadly weapon. From the light of these lesser-used weapons blasts forth a pair of crimson beams; data-eraser beams, empowered by all that the Armored Destroyer has behind him. The beams scream forward with a black flash and impact the now oncoming Armageddon. While this attack couldn't match Rosso's power at its best, that was never its intent. The recoil from this strike sends the Armored Destroyer, still hovering in place thanks to his thrusters, flying back in the air like a bullet. Using this final blow, he once again activates his jets to spin around in mid-air. Now flying towards the obviously unstable damage point from before, he reels back a fist and takes aim, yelling above the noise as he does so.
?: IF YOU TRULY ARE THE JUDGMENT OF THIS WORLD....
....and then the final move. The destroyer reaches forward and takes hold of his last hope. The damaged area of the Gehenna, putting everything that he has into this. The burning was beyond intense, and it instantly caused his armor to begin glowing a dull orange, but despite this the Armored Destroyer screams through the pain. He had no idea if he could manage it or not, but he would make sure that either way it would end here. In the hands of the Armored Destroyer, the entire sun suddenly pulses as the same black and red energy that he'd summoned just moments before surges across the star's surface, empowering it beyond what it was before.
?: ...THEN WE ARE ITS SECOND CHANCE!
Looking back, the destroyer glares at Rosso with an almost insane fury. Racked by pain and at his absolute brink, he brings about his final attack at last. The Destroyer cuts his arm around, the flames of Gehenna trailing off with him as he does so.
?: NOW DIE WITH THE TRASH OF THIS WORLD!!!!
One final pull, one final push. The destroyer attempts one of two outcomes. With the violent way that he rips at Gehenna combined with its instability due to the damage that it had sustained, this final push would either launch the star at Rosso, hopefully breaking through his blazing final attack as he does so... or he would cause it to finally self-destruct in a super nova, potentially deleting the entire network at the same time. Either way, he'd use this final moment, meeting Rosso's final gambit with one of the few things on this net that could defeat it outright; the hellfire Pyroclasm's own overwhelming power, given even greater destructive force by the two Navis who even now hold the only keys to end this once and for all!
Resonance nods and walks casually over to the main holding cell for the still-dormant cyber-beast. This was far worse than he'd feared.... and the familiarity with this creature was mind-numbing. This.... this was another Gospel, a beast that had racked Resonance's nightmares for years. And while he knew that it lacked some of its predecessors more unique traits and perhaps its brute strength, the feral nature and desire for destruction made it perhaps more dangerous than the original multi-bug organism. Not wasting time for long, Resonance lifts a box in silence and begins walking towards the front of the room. It's here that he ducks into the shadows, just beginning to fully comprehend the weight of the situation. A com-link opens to Genesis and he speaks in his normal, silent tones. However, on Genesis' side the worry in his voice would be obvious.
Resonance: Genesis, it's worse than either of us thought. They have Griega imprisoned down here and they're about to revive it. I'll try to stop it, but you've got to get out now!
Resonance regains his composure and carries on like normal, moving packets of data away from Griega. If they had this beast, then there were three possibilities left unspoken. One: on its release, its counterpart would come for it, destroying Netopia in the process. Two: they'd slain the ogre of the sky. Three: ....they also have Falzer captive somewhere, ready to be awakened at will. Just how deep was this plot...?

From one end, Genesis was managing to hold it back. He wasn't pushing past it, but was holding his ground against it. He could understand why too when he considered all that was being used to do so. The new form... Rosso didn't quite get it himself, but it had a sort of understanding with it and could relate to it. It was a culmination of many other strengths that finally totaled up to the strike that he unleashed now. And the Destroyer's first shot hadn't stopped his move, but had launched him straight into position to wield his Gehenna as a weapon of mass destruction. Ordinarily it would have self-destructed in this scenario, the final push against the now unstable sun resulting in a supernova that would wipe Netopia clean off of the map. So Rosso had to relent instead. He could no longer force it to resist or the detonation was imminent, so he drew it towards him, which caused the Destroyer to launch the attack at him and begin to tear through the final cataclysm that Rosso had brought forth. He couldn't believe it, but they had in fact managed to drive him into a corner.
"They did tell me that you two were probably the most threatening combination we could be forced to go up against. Ideally, we would eliminate you two while you were separated. I can see why that's the case after this. But... GEHENNA!"
As the cataclysm made its way towards him, the artificial sun had one final trick for him to utilize. Something that they both would notice. All across Netopia and this brutal battlefield rose up to him... flames. And from the sun that was pitted against him, the fiery might that he had contributed to it also returned to him. Even the latest cataclysm he used retracted back into him. And it all gathered into his left arm, his eyes practically burning as fire itself as he breathed out smoke, rearing his arm back as the remainder of the devastating combination of power the two unleashed were coming towards him, he lit up like a sun itself and then beyond. Like a red giant, he was poised to unleash his blow.
"Burn away, in this Bla--"
But suddenly he halted, his eyes returning to normal. And rather than utilize the power he had amassed since the battle began, he turned with his cloak setting ablaze like a mantle comprised of an inferno. As a result, the devastating strikes from both sides slammed into him, rocking the network and practically causing it to go offline for several seconds. When the dust settled, the Pyroclasm had slammed into the ground, down to a knee as he managed to stand once more. He had managed to reduce the damage, but was incapable of doing so all the way. How vexing...
"...Consider this your victory, Armored Destroyer, Genesis. I'll bear this shame today. But I won't allow things to end this way the next we meet..."
He was frustrated, it was clear in his voice. But he stepped back, being swallowed by a pillar of flame that erupted up from the ground. And as he did, earthquakes started to rock through the network even at the strange conclusion of this intense battle...
-
They hadn't noticed Resonance delivering this critical information on just what had happened. But as they were getting ready to wrap things up... errors started blaring loudly. And they were confused at first until one of the screens showed the information on it. And the information that it read brought up both the first and third possibilities that Resonance had come to. They had ogre of the sky ready to be awakened at will... and it was already heading this way. But what baffled them was that they had no idea as to why this was happening. Falzer was the passive one and generally only responded when Griega itself would, so there was a mass panic and arguing among the researchers on what possibly went wrong here.
And while they were, a white blur passed by into the room, a smiling female navi appearing shortly afterward for a brief moment. She was surveying the situation, a swirl of some kind of data in her right hand. It was hard to discern what it was, but looking at it felt like nothing but pure malevolence. She noticed that Griega's eyes were steadily beginning to regain their luster. So she nodded instead, the data vanishing rather than being used.
"Good, it's awake. I shouldn't need to tamper with it too, then."
So she jumped back, disappearing back into the shadows as the wolf was steadily beginning to stand up. And the earthquakes began to intensify even further. As at the throes of madness, in this war that was engulfing Netopia in such destruction...
The two feral beasts were about to rampage once again.

*His eyes widened as their monstrous opponent still possessed yet another ace in the hole. Just who in the world had created him--no, how much time was put into this? It was clear that whoever wanted this had planned extensively for even the world's finest. And his own offense was reaching its limits. He had one last defensive effort to take up instead that should be able to make them both at least survive what was coming as the energy that was used throughout the entire battle was being drawn to him as a mist started to seep from Genesis and start to come close around the Armored Destroyer. Almost like... a familiar move. One that he had seen countless times over the years. It was vastly superior at this stage, but the premise was the same behind what made it such a frightening move to witness. And then... nothing? Just like that, he sheathed his attack and allowed theirs to strike him instead before retreating. He didn't even have enough time to try and stop him, his mind still thinking a bit on that final move and even final defensive measure that Rosso took just then. Both brought back memories of one of the finest fighters he knew. But he would never do anything like this. They were like night and day. This victory might have been theirs, but it felt incomplete as well. They had gained knowledge to utilize just as he did in their next encounter, thinking of the words the Armored Destroyer said in their final assault against the Pyroclasm, the mist fading now rather than be used.*
"We, huh...? We might just have to..."
*They might have to use their combined efforts here. Because things weren't looking especially bright for the future to come. Rosso made it clear that he wasn't the only one of his forces and on top of that, their plan involved hunting them down on their own. The moment they slipped up, they would be destroyed without hesitation. And normally he would doubt that, but the show of force in this battle alone let him know that they were serious. Even the Armored Destroyer had to grasp for straws to reach an answer here, himself as well. If not for their collective experiences, they wouldn't have stood a chance. Breaking him from his thoughts was Resonance contacting him, looking over to his own com-link.*
"They're doing what? Are they insane? They probably can't even control it. All it will do is decimate the rest of Netopia unless it's put down."
*And then the earthquakes started, letting him know that something had already gone horribly wrong. After stretching himself so thin against Rosso, he would prefer to just get out of here like Resonance said. The Armored Destroyer had definitely pushed himself with all the blows he had weathered to return fire just the same. But before he did, another thought occurred to him. If they were around... they couldn't just let them rampage. Not only because Netopia would be caught in the destruction as his only targets were the NIA, but...*
"We can't run away, Resonance. If we leave them be "he" will catch wind of them. And we can't allow that to happen either."
*Because while things had been really bad so far, that would be the absolute low point. They had to quell this before that happened. Which meant that he couldn't allow the situation to play itself out. The earthquakes steadily intensifying meant that it wasn't just Griega that they had to contend with here. He had felt this sensation back at Giga City about a decade ago now. So worn they may be, they weren't out of the fight just yet, looking over to the nameless Navi.*
"The cyber-beasts are about to go on a rampage. Griega is here and I plan to take it head on, but Falzer is on its way. Do you think you can handle it?"

After the grand finale, the Armored Destroyer once again falls to earth, landing on his feet in his normal form once again. His armor was singed and he'd taken very obvious damage, but he was still able to continue. He takes a deep breath, and then strikes the ground where Rosso had been standing in anger. With that last flare of rage vented, he regains his wits and hears Genesis' side of the conversation with Resonance. The call puts him back on edge, but it's not until Genesis makes his statement that the full gravity hits him, which is responded to with a look of both shock and anger.
?: ...! Think, Overlord! We've both spent most of our greatest powers against a Navi, and you think that we can take out two cyberbeasts?
The nameless Navi had gathered what Genesis was referring to, and realized just how terrible the situation could become at this point. The time for bravado and big talk was over, only a cold, honest look at the situation would bring about any value.
?: Whatever they're doing, you heard it yourself; we're one of their greatest threats. If we commit suicide in a brash and lost offense, then we're giving them exactly what they want. Why else would they be releasing them now?
The situation was becoming far clearer with each passing moment. They wanted to eliminate two threats at once. But this is when the destroyer glances down at the scorched earth and remembers what had happened just moments before.
?: We have one shot at this. We can't win, but we can draw. Tell your man to get the heck out of here, because our only hope at stopping this is if we crash this network or at least cut it off from the others. We can still make an escape before we're cut out!
For the time being, vendettas held no value. The destroyer needed Genesis to survive this, and Genesis needed the destroyer to make it through. Clenching his fists again, the destroyer elongates the barrels from both of his cannons and begins to spark with red and black lightning once again, preparing to unload all of his fury against the core of the network itself.
?: Valiant sacrifices are nothing but a grandiose way of quitting, and I refuse to let that trash win!
Down below, Resonance notices the strange girl and her odd data, but is unable to do anything in regards to her, because she vacates the network as soon as she appears. At this point Resonance could see that time was running short, so he makes his way to the main system and begins downloading as much data as he can, silently praying that the clock doesn't strike too soon.

*He couldn't exactly deny what he was saying. To be frank, he wasn't anywhere near top condition to deal with what was coming next. He had spent that all facing off against Rosso himself. Trying to push what he had left against not just one, but two cyberbeasts was practically suicide. It would even explain why Rosso retreated rather than see the fight through to its conclusion, victory or defeat. It was timed to deal with them once and for all. And if it went as they wanted... then that would be giving them a victory that they quite desperately wanted for their future endeavors. So he sighed in his own show of agitation, resigning to their only real course that they could take from here, the data surrounding him as all but his right arm returned to normal. He could focus what he had left into making this a draw rather than a defeat so things didn't go entirely in their enemy's favor. They needed each other now... and he was willing to accept that as well. So he spoke over the com-link again to alert his now partner-in-crime to his change of plan.*
"Change of plans, Resonance. You need to get out of there as quickly as possible! We're crashing this network or cutting it off from the rest! Either way, you need to get moving."
*It was also his verbal confirmation that the nameless Navi was right and he agreed with him. It was here that Fate was called forth, the energy that had been concentrated into his arm brimming within the blade now as he turned it in hand. She had helped him through many ordeals up until now. But he never thought he would actually have to use their might to bring a network down. But it was better than the alternatives. The gray gathered to the tip of the blade, almost like a worm-hole that was prepared to pierce straight down to the heart of the network itself. It had been more than rattled in just the battle they had already. And he could unleash the final strike with the Armored Destroyer, looking over to him before he spoke.*
"I won't let him win either. So we'll survive and bring him down once and for all. Him and all of those that are with him."

As the two were poised for their only option to deal with the impeding threat, Resonance was gathering data as quickly as he could. And it would reveal some startling information. There was information about both of the cyberbeasts on it that was used for something else. They had created something from it, more than just one thing at that. The information was sent to some remote location that appeared to be in Sharo while the other creation was relayed to the NIA. It was some sort of device, not like a weapon like the other information appeared to relate to. Some sort of tracking device, but the whole details weren't entirely pertaining to the beasts themselves. So they were looking for something else even still, but just the NIA rather than wherever the other location was going to be using it for. They could hear the furious flapping now, the bird of prey soaring closer and closer.
