She sighed, falling to the ground in the snow. Finally, after such a long time, she had finished. The snow covered earth in front of her housed a large snow castle. She couldn’t help but almost cry with joy. All that the note had said was, “Prepare the castle for Christmas, and you may always find a home here.” – A Friend.
The large snow castle was made of fire resistant ice, including an icy moat, that people could ice skate on. Upon walking across the drawbridge, or skating across the ice, one found themselves at a large gate. At this gate on both sides of the opening, were two large, rose covered wreaths that had large red bells. The icy castle was of a light blue, almost sky colored ice. As one entered the gates, they would find themselves in a large hallway, staring down one of the largest snow covered Christmas pine trees even seen, stretching several stories tall. This tree was covered in red, gold, green, white and blue ornaments, many that glowed their respective colors with little summoned butterflies inside. At the very top was a brightly lit large golden star, emanating proudly its pure light.
If one went to the left, they would be faced with a dining hall that had plenty of tables and seats for many navis. Towards the back was a stone hearth covered in ice, with a roaring hot fire to keep the room warm. There was an eggnog fountain on the left, with crystal glasses on the table beside it. On the right were several Ice sculptures of various Reindeer and Christmas themed Characters. Along with many different kinds of drinks. Handy Viruses with special coattails were standing at the ready to serve drinks as desired. Viruses of all kinds scurried about, all in suits and dresses. Little male Candevil's running around in the dining hall in butler suits, placing the silver plates at seats, some with forks and knives. Two other male Candevil's were constantly checking the fire of the hearth, almost standing guard, with little gowns and staves. Several tuxedo Swordies stood near the entrance of the hall, ready to take coats and outerwear as needed. There was also a small stage, where a pair of female Trumpies in red Dresses and a pair of male Trumpies in Red Tuxes where playing soft, slow Christmas music. Several Spiky Viruses where bringing out food and beverages, getting them to the tables where various colored Handy Viruses were transferring the food to the tables. There was a smaller Christmas tree in the middle of this room as well. This was one bare, but a table next to it had markers, paper to name the owner, glass orbs with openings, and special paints, for people to make custom ornaments to put on the tree.
If one was turn right at the Christmas tree, they would head back out towards a beautiful garden, concealed by snow. Many Cloudy viruses where floating high up in the sky, causing a gentle flurry of the soft, fluffy snow. There were several prebuilt snowmen, with plenty of room for others to build their own. There was a rack with hats, towels, sticks of carrots, regular sticks, and others to help aid navis build snowmen. There also were lit Christmas trees out here as well, and the air was crisp. The garden area was lit only by the light of the trees, and where the entrance back into the castle was. On the walls of the Ice Castle, there were two more large wreaths, just as there were for the entrance to the gate. One could hear the sound of laughter as there where many young viruses playing in the snow. There was room for snow angles, snowball and Snowmen fights and more. There even were benches where some Candevil virus candles were, to give the air even more of a holiday ambiance. There were even two small snow forts, one with a green flag, and one with a red flag, for a friendly game of capture the flag.
If a navi wished to travel behind the tree, there was a small door past the dining hall on the left that lead to rooms for navi’s to rest and spend the night as needed for the holiday. However, that was a small detail, as what would catch the eye of a navi as they looked past the monstrous tree was a pair of open gold doors, that lead into a large glorious ballroom. There was a large, silver and gold glass chandelier in the middle. It was filled with Candevil candles that lit up the room. There were stairs immediately to the right and left of the entrance for anyone who wished to go to the second floor and find seats for spectators to watch anyone who decided to dance on the floor below. A host of Trumpies manned a small stage near the back, behind the actual glass ballroom floor, ready to get the music flowing for anyone who wished to dance. Snappers manned the drums. The lighting was just enough that the dance floor was brightly lit, with the spectators dimly lit. The walkway to the dance floor was of red velvet with little ornaments lighting the sides of the path. Several pillars rose up around the corners of the room to the celling, each with a green wreath and each wreath sporting a different Christmas color theme. One would notice that the walls of the ballroom were Crystal clear glass, so those could see outside the room towards both the garden, on the right and the dining hall on the left. . At the very back of the room, was a chimney to the outside, with a Christmas tree on both sides of the mantle. There was a small stand with a platter that had both cookies and milk, and a sign that said, “For Santa.” That was guarded by a pair of very large mettuars with large pickaxes, but wearing green hats. They were dressed as Elves!
She stood up, realizing guests could show up any minute now. She ran back into one of the bedrooms, having claimed it as her own. She immediately changed from her usual casual attire. She actually decided to try and dress up nicely. She pulled back her hair, and put it into a barrette with a beautiful white bow to keep it up. Her hair was soft and shiny, smelling of a mixture of roses and vanilla. She changed into a beautiful snow white dress that went just past her knees that had little white crystals that reflected light off of where the buttons were. The dress left her back exposed in an elegant cross X pattern. The dress had straps but was sleeveless, and she wore detached white laced sleeves that came down by her hands. Her fingernails were painted blue. She wore her family brooch with a sky blue gem. Her emerald eyes light up, her soft skin glowing with pride in her attire. She wore white garter in a diamond cross pattern with white and blue heels. She was about as white as snow as she could get, despite her hair and eyes. She felt beautiful for the first time. She couldn’t help but be thankful for the dress, as it was a gift from her only companion.
She walked out to the front, and stood in front of the Christmas tree. Her purple fire haired Candevil companion Cura walked up next to her. The candevil smiled, nodding in approval.
”You look lovely. Your parents would be proud if they could see their beautiful daughter now.”
Xylia beamed with pride. She wouldn’t have been able to do this without Cura and her friends who were helping make this Christmas party real.
”Thank you, Cura…”
