|Navi & RP Information|
-Navi Name:
Ren-Wu
--Appearance:
Ren-Wu is about average height and weight, standing at about 5'7" and weighing in at 168 lbs. Appearing as a young man, his frame is somewhat thin and his muscles are lean, but toned and well-defined, almost as if they were chiseled out of stone. His limbs appear to be even more spindly in contrast with the large, loose, black robe he wears. The neck of the robe is cut in a low V, and the sides are split at the waist with the front and back parts hanging low just below his knees. The sleeves are long and loose, hiding his hands when they are fully extended. He wears very loose white pants, tight at his waist and flaring out considerably before closing again at his ankles. He wears a tall, cylindrical silk hat on his head, mostly black and trimmed with gold embroidery around the rim, with symbols of the I Ching stitched in white all around it. On his feet he wears simple black silk splippers. Overall, his outfit serves to hide the majority of his movements, his loose clothing rippling like waves as he executes his martial arts. Under his hat he wears his long hair in a tight top bun. His eyes are thin and half-lidded and show both stoicism and wisdom, a trait that matches his thin mouth. his eyebrows have been shaved and he wears jade-colored eyeliner, extending the apparent length of his narrow eyes into a slant, and the center of his forehead is adorned with three rows of thick red lines with breaks in different places.
--Personality:
Ren-Wu is portrays a harmony of excess and restraint, mercy and ruthlessness. He believes in the importance of balance, and knows that there are times to be kind and gentle, and times to be cold and forceful. Within this delicate balance can be found a man of simple complexity, a personification of the duality found in nature. However, this does not mean that Ren-Wu is totally indifferent and unbiased. While he understand that there is a time for everything, he also strives for peace and tranquility. His puruit of a balance between positive and negative forces does not equate to a balance of "good" and "evil", as he sees "good" as the seeking of balance and "evil" as the disruption of balance. From that viewpoint, his quest for enlightenment puts him on a path that most would consider "good". He is a man of few words, but he has much wisdom to share and will not hesitate to do so if asked or if the situation warrants it. However, his disregard for material gains in favor of a more spiritual existence can sometimes create a disconnect with others to do not share his priorities.
--Background:
Ren-Wu was originally created as a security program for an important Cultural Heritage Museum in the Far East that housed many texts and artifacts of great historical significance. In the large amount of downtime he had, he took to studying the ancient texts in the library, and was particularly taken by the concept of Taoism, the ancient Choinese belief that all things are in balance. Studying voraciously, he took the tenets of Taoism close to his heart and adopted its ways. One day, he discovered that the directors of the museum were dealing in illicit activites, laundering money for the mob and selling priceless historical artifacts on the black market. Appalled by this, he refused a direct order to fight off an investigation program sent by the government, allowing the program to pass unhindered and resulting in the arrest of most of the corrupt staff. Some evaded capture, however, and now viewed Ren-Wu as a huge liability to their criminal pursuits. They attempted to delete him in favor of a more compliant program, but Ren-wu managed to escape into the Net using his vast knowledge of the security network. Now, Ren-Wu travels the World Net, seeking out the enlightenment he read about in years of study, hoping to spread its message to those who are also searching for truth.

----------------------------------------------------------*Tao Attunment*
Custom | Passive
Through much physical, mental, and spiritual training, Ren-Wu has learned to attune his body, mind, and spirit to the ebbing and flowing energies of the Tao. Utilizing the balance between Yin (soft) and Yang (hard) energies, his martial arts are a dance of great and terrible beauty.
Skill Effect:
All of Ren-Wu's attacks, and some of his skills, are designated as possesing either a Yin energy or a Yang energy.
