Phenoix let out a sigh, Toxin hit him right on the mark. He was completely right, and at this point, Phen didn't know what to believe. Everything since he returned has been a big confusing mess. Fight after fight, he had little time to think of what to do, merely to act. Only recently had he learned of what had been going on in his absence, and he had to leave to do something else soon after that. He really needed time to sort out his ideals at this point, to make them fit in this new world that he descended upon. With own light fading slightly, with his confidence down, he responded to Toxin in a much softer voice.
"Was it so simple to see through? You're right, I have no idea what I'm doing right now honestly. I shall leave you to your business, whatever it may be."
With that, Phenoix left, his body eroding into feathers that scattered to the wind, regardless of if wind was present. His destination, even he did not know. He knew he had to find something out for himself. What he planned to do, with the net in the state that it is in.

[bgcolor=black] "Hmph... hahaha... ha... he didn't even hear it... The worst thing the ONB did? It taught me... subtlety, " he said to the air, and then quickly made for his destination. Orusula reported a tail that had been lost, and so for now, all obstacles were gone.====== (("Hole in the wall" is a figure of speech ._.)) <'I feel like I've violated something, I and my friends. I broke the wall to this cafe when the entrance was right next to me, and I stepped through only to make noise. This place isn't safe, and I'm in trouble. I should leave. These, the words you think to yourselves, are perhaps the truest thoughts you have ever had. But I would have you know that this is not the approach you should take. Several of these dangerous looking navis are Netopian guardsmen. Come in and take a seat at that table in the corner, please. Do not fuss. No harm will come to you in here, but out there, you should only be so lucky.'>
The voice that spoke to Thorn and InfoSearch was uncanny, seemingly not based in the physical net and very clear. It was noble, but calm. There was something else to it... and upon inspection of the denizens of the cafe several things were clear: They had reacted to InfoSearch's entrance, and had been upset by Thorn's exclamation, but none had moved their mouths to give nor payed any heed to the extensive speaking that had just been done... then the owner stepped out from the back. "Hey, you pun-!" he began to shout, but the bandaged navi held up a hand. There was a brief pause, a confused look on the owner's face, and then the bandaged navi gestured to the corner. The owner moved to the back again just as the voice came back to the blundering pair: <'Please, sit.'>

InfoSearch was quite beside herself in confusion and grief. She had fallen through a wall, yelled at by some random Navi she hadn't spotted before, and now some...voice...was in her head. Or, at least, it sounded like it was in her head. She hadn't heard it in the normal sense, but it was a direct communication of somekind. The contact sent a shiver down her spine as she looked across the room at the various individuals within the place, but the bandaged Navi's words allured her from the prospect of turning tail and running away as fast as she could.
She looked over at the individual who had something about 'getting us killed' and nervously nodded apologetically before taking a seat in the corner. Her eyes darted around nervously, taking in the faces of the building with a feeling of apprehension. She had no idea individuals like these would even dwell here, but the bandaged Navi that spoke to her...there was an air of calm about him, and that calm almost felt infectuous, helping her let go of her fear, if only a little bit. As she sat, she couldn't help but feel absolutely vulnerable in this position, her pistol at her side the only thing that could protect her if things went wrong...and her pistol had been known to cause more trouble than it solved.
Wait, Netopian guardsmen...she knew she had heard that term from somewhere, but she could not place when or where. Thankful for the distraction, she tried to search her databanks for what that meant, but at the same time, her apparent fear and anxiety had made things hard to delve into at the current moment. 'What have I gotten myself into?' she thought to herself.

A voice in his head..? How peculiar... and fascinating. It was clear that it was coming from the navi he had followed in here, the one with the bandages and the general air of a ne'er-do-well all around him. He didn't seem to be terribly upset at the moment, all things considered, but it was obvious that he was a navi of great power, and his words and commands were to be respected if one had any desire to continue functioning. Besides, Thorn wasn't in the mood to run afoul of any guards at the moment... he was far too curious about this new development.
He walked over to the same table as the clumsy girl who had broken through the wall, taking a seat next to her on the same side of the booth in case their strange host wished to sit by himself. Thorn glanced around the room nervously, noticing that a few of the patrons were still staring at him. He wanted to speak, to the crowd and to the mysterious stranger, but he could sense that now was not the time.

[bgcolor=black]((Just for visualization, it's a different table than the one he's at)) Awful directions, awful neighborhood. Quiet, but not with the tension of the undernet. The residents here were depressed beyond bullying each other or turning to darkness... they were navis that simply 'were'. Toxin rounded a final corner and made his way to the entrance, but stopped to observe the fresh damage. "Beating people up... again, M?" He chuckled as he took a seat across from the bandaged navi and leaned the chair back with his arms lazily hanging beside him. The navi, presumably "M", folded his hands together on the table in front of him. On each hand was a large dot, no, a hole, one enveloped in a strange energy... <'No, I did not beat anybody up. There was just an accident... but we shall go straight to business. There has been no word from my operator.'> the voice once again resounded in Thorn, Toxin, and InfoSearch's heads."Eh...? That's even worse... they were shut-lipped about it. Wouldn't say which international order it was... How's the Netopian Senator doing?"<'Last I spoke with him, he was leaving for the castle this morning, suspicious of something. These guards were to protect me "just in case", but I am unaware as to who really is behind them. My only trust in them is that Geminus assigned them to me. Can you get anything more from the ONB?'>"They're... supposed to send me a message... when their new leader gets back. For now, though... I don't have ties to them. It'll be harder. Just remember... this is my last favor to you. I'll go... hunt some info."With that, Toxin stood and stepped outside through the new exit. He glanced warily at the street and the connecting alleys, then his body phased into darkness before teleporting away.[Toxin away to Element City] Once the toxic navi left, M unfolded his hands but continued speaking to InfoSearch and Thorn. There was something quieter about Toxin, and he wasn't sure he wanted to put his finger on it. <'Now that that is done... I am Maelxus, and you may call me "M". who are you two, and what are you doing here? One does not simply stumble upon The Rack.'>

InfoSearch blinked. 'The Rack'. That was what her client had called the cafe place she had been looking for earlier, and quickly jotted down a note on her digital gadget. She grimaced, however, when she looked back up at 'M'.
"M--my name is InfoSearch. I...I find things. Information, people, places...anything and everything, as best as I can. I had...I was sent a query to find a place by the name you just mentioned, and well..." She started, her eyes looking around the place for a quick moment before looking back at M. "...I guess I found it. My client was looking for this place, though he...he didn't mention why." She concluded, her hands fidgeting out of anxiety and nervousness. Now that she had found it, she wasn't altogether sure if she wanted to remain here longer than she needed to, but by the looks of things, she probably didn't have a choice in the matter. She looked over at the individual sitting next to her. "This one and I...we, ah, we just met. Recently. As in a few moments ago," She claimed, truthfully. She didn't even really know who he was or what he was doing either, other than the fact he just happened to be nearby and had shouted at her when she fell through the wall. She swallowed visibly, another bead of sweat running down the side of her face. She adjusted her glasses on her face, an obvious nervous habit.
"Who...who was that you were talking to a moment ago?" She asked M.

Thorn spoke abruptly, addressing the girl next to him without turning to look at her. "Perhaps M would be happier to answer your question after I finish answering his, InfoSearch. You can wait." There was an obvious tinge of hostility in his voice... he was still upset at this woman for getting him caught, although he had to admit the situation could be worse.
He spoke directly to the bandaged man that was interrogating them. "My name is Thorn. I was visiting the Kotobuki Network because it's of historical significance to me. Being an innovative virus, I find myself fascinated with the history of my kind. As for how I ended up here, a companion of mine and I were following the navi you just spoke with out of boredom and curiosity." Thorn looked around the cafe and saw no sign of Glassman or Fernalius. "He must not have followed me in. I only thought I could watch that navi through one of the windows here - I had no idea it was also his destination."

[bgcolor=black]There was a delay after his questions were answered, but M nodded. Besides a few misdemeanors, they checked out. The few non-guardsmen looked uneasy at the mention of a search for their hideout. <'If someone is searching for this location, then it is approaching time for us to leave. This establishment is not known to many, and to those whom it is, certainly the law is on their side.'>
With that, M stood, and so too did a number of the other navis... in fact, only three besides the corner pair remained. The entourage made their way to the door covering and out the fresh hole, and M proceeded behind them... but he stopped before stepping over the rubble. Without turning around, he spoke once again into their minds: <'Be sure that your friend is nearby, Thorn. I am departing to locate a certain infamous group of navis. You may join if you like, though know that once you are associated with myself, there is no turning back and if you get in trouble, aid will be minimal. But first, you may find your friend. I shall be strolling in the city for no more than ten minutes before I depart,'> and so he went down the street in the direction opposite of Glassman's hiding place.

Glassman and Fernalius watched as the unfamiliar group left, slipping from the shadows to the 'hole in the wall' where Thorn and the female navi were.
"Well, that seemed interesting enough. Mind filling me in on what happened just now?" he asked Thorn, waving at Info out of courtesy.
Glassman glanced around for a moment, taking note of the temporary refuge. It didn't seem that much of a homebase, but it looked suitable for a brief meeting,at best.
As for Fernalius,he acknowledged Info as well, before placing himself in a seat nearby, anticipating whatever 'briefing' was about to come about.

InfoSearch fidgeted a bit more as most of the other navigators left 'The Rack', gaving Thorn a bit more elbow room since he didn't seem the most friendly of individuals. She quickly logged the location of her position in her personal digital assistant, preparing to forward the information of 'The Rack' to her client, though she did not send the message quite yet. Instead, she saved it to the 'draft' folder, and then she looked up at M as he started to leave. Her curiosity was piqued at this moment, though the group he was with--not to mention M himself--made her quite nervous.
"I...I really should apologize for what happened...back there," She said to Thorn, her eyes downcast at the table in embarrassment and a little shame. "I...I didn't realize you were trying...trying to be sneaky..." She admitted.

Thorn sighed at InfoSearch's apology. He turned to face her directly. "No, no. I should apologize. You had no way of knowing I was even in that building, and besides, my remark didn't help matters. I was just frustrated."
That matter dealt with, Thorn stood up and exited the booth, without even waiting for a response, and walked over to Glassman and Fernalius. "The navi we were following had a meeting with someone named M. InfoSearch and I got caught spying, but M spoke to us after the other one left. He says he's off to pursue an infamous group of navis and that we are welcome to join him, but that we can't back out once we do. I, for one, plan to go with him. You are all more than welcome to accompany me."
Once more, he turned away without waiting for any word from the others, setting off to follow M while he was still visible.

"An infamous group, you say...? Hm...quite interesting." Glassman said thoughtfully, rubbing his chin in added effect.
As far as he knew, the ONB wasn't going to contact him anytime soon...much less renew their profiles and such.
Glassman looked up and nodded to Thorn.
"Count us both in then." he replied,as Fernalius flashed a thumbs up,prepared to help out however possible.

[bgcolor=black]From around the corner opposite the one he left, on the exact other end of the street, M strode toward the growing group. <'Now that they are lost... '> he thought to them, <'We may begin. There is payment for your service, given your apparent status as a hired nose, miss InfoSearch, so you need not fret over lost time. That does apply to all of you. What we are searching for is The Revolution. Surely you are all aware of the issue regarding navi licensing and 'purpose' imposed upon we that exist in the net, and also the group that opposes this? I may have a lead, shortly, but until then we are at large. You may travel together as you like, but contact me if anything comes up. Major cities may be good starting points to find gatherings... for now, I am away to Com Square in Sharo. By hearing this voice, you have my address. Fare well, and thank you.'> As the wind, the enigmatic navi disappeared even as he came within steps of the group.

InfoSearch made a small noise as M's voice entered her head again, startled slightly by him. She nodded to his request, however, feeling significantly better now that she had a new query as well as a job. She actually managed to crack an enthused smile after hearing his proposition, the muscles around her mouth almost feeling sore from the apparent lack of use these last few, nervous minutes.
"I accept. I'll begin searching immediately," She said in response, even though M had already left. She blushed a little bit before pushing a few buttons on her PDA, finally sending her previous query to her client in order to free up more memory for her new query, a task which she wanted to tackle with alacrity and finally be out of this creepy neighborhood. "Bayside is likely a good place to start. I know a few people there that could fill me in on information, or at the very least, lead me in the right direction," She said, looking over at the Thorn and his companions. "If any of you need me, feel free to contact me," She said to them, forwarding her address to them with an odd sort of quickness that pretty much betrayed her enthusiasm to leave this area. "Happy hunting!" She told them before immediately rushing out of this area towards her destination.

Glassman cracked his knuckles and took a deep breath, stretching a bit as he spoke.
"Guess I'll drop by Element City again and see what's going on..." he said to no-one in particular. Fernalius vanished into his data-bank and the ruby on his navi insignia lit up,before Glassman dashed from the area, cutting through alleyways as he made his way in the direction of Element City.
