*In the evening, a young man dressed in a brown overcoat walks among the distorted buildings of Kotobuki. His unkept hair blows in the wind as he walks up to one of the public PET terminals in the area and makes a connection to the ONB. Once connected, he sends off an encrypted file with the message: "you know what to do". He then stands aside and leans against one of the shifted buildings, either resting or waitng for something to happen....*

In an undisclosed location
Darkness, it fills a room, almost oppressively if allowed. This room had but one offender to the darkness' complete presence, a single monitor. While it was a minor influence, it was enough to make out the outline of a figure who sat patiently in front of the screen. There was little to see though, a lone bar slowly filled on the screen.
It would take some time, but sooner then later, the bar would finish, and a message would flash across the screen; Transfer Completed. Open File?
The figure seated allowed a small grin to cross his features, and moved to turn the monitor off, plunging the room into inky darkness. The sounds of movement pierced the silence, accompanied by several soft beeps. Momentarily light spilled into the room, revealing what appeared to be a small office room, as the figured voice spoke into it's PET.
"We have it. We can begin."
As fast as the light suddenly spilled into the room, the door was closed, and the room plunged into darkness once more. The figure moving elsewhere through the building to continue on his agenda.

"So, I'd bet money that something awesome happened here."
"Why are you there alone?"
"Looks like reality has almost fused with the net here."
"Hey, answer me."
"Almost as if someone were trying to make a place where humans could access the net without having to use a computer."
"HEY! IDIOT!"
The navis words finally got through to Sara.
"Who's the idiot that's just sitting here waiting for a group that might not even show up? On the words of a darkloid at that."
"Don't start with me. I told you not to go there alone."
"I'm fine..."
Saying this, Sara was holding herself up on an old bus stop post.

[Limo entering from OEL]
There was a chance that Shakeem would recognize Nymphra as being one of the "navis" that responded to the incident on Millions Street just a few months ago. Glassman was present during that time in the Shell Network, but whether or not Shakeem was watching from his PET was anybody's guess.
If they didn't recognize Feint's appearance matching the "navi" from Kotobuki Network exactly, then perhaps their navis just acted independently most of the time. Or she was just that amazing at covering it up, whichever.
Cherish surveyed the area as they drove through the small city. The reality-warping effect was a concern. OEL had tons of Navis walking around, making that dangerous territory in its own right depending on which side of their interests you stood on. But who knew what kind of danger was concealed in this place.
She was used to being in combat with Net Navis though, and quite capable of it since she had the same equipment as in the Cyber World. There was no second-chance if she lost a fight out here though, and she couldn't rely on the chance that Shakeem or Jameson were able to stand toe to toe with a fully powered Net Navi if it just-so-happened that this reality-bending city was capable of housing any of them.
That wasn't necessarily the greatest of her worries right now, though.
"Alright, Higsby knows we're headed here thanks to a certain someone. Whether or not he knows we're here already doesn't matter: we should expect the worse and prepare for the security to be a little tighter."
"I'm not going to tell you to "let me do all of the talking", just don't drop the ball like you did back at OEL. If anybody asks you anything for any reason, every word coming out of your mouth should be a lie. And if you do tell the truth, it should be a very vague version of it, and only to study their reaction to it."
As much as she hated pretending to be "the team leader", she sort of had to pass on her knowledge (or "wisdom", as gramps would call it) so that they could at least work better together as a "team", even if it was a very very loose description of this group.
"The only reason you speak should be to get information. Likewise, the only reason someone would talk to you is to receive information in a setting like this. The more you get of theirs and the less they get of yours, the higher an advantage you have over the situation. This even goes for your "allies"; Me, each other, and the navis in the Cyber World, especially the ones that know the most about the situation."
And that was that.
One could say she even gave too much information that time, but she was at least able to discern that they had the same interests in mind as she did right now.
As Feint went to quickly assessing her gun, ammunition, and other various equipment, Faith unsheathed two rather fair-sized daggers near her waist and presented each one to Jameson and Shakeem. Each silver dagger was embroidered with crimson designs along the blade and had a ruby colored tip, but it was still just a regular dagger.
"I don't need to stress the danger. Take this and conceal it on your person somewhere; don't think of it as a weapon to fight with, but as a tool to utilize when caught in a bind. I fear this job may be more than just plugging your PET into a server somewhere, so it's best that you prepare for whatever you can just to be safe."
For the most part, Cherish could deal with any simple obstacle that stood in their way. But as she had said before, she didn't have a PET, so she couldn't bridge Navis from Kotobuki Network to their new destination if she'd made it there alone.
For that matter, she wasn't too tech-savvy or educated in operating a PET or a navi to even the simplest degree. She knew how to infiltrate structures (when they DIDN'T expect her presence), steal data, and commence combat if need be, but doing whatever TornadoMan had in mind was a little above her or at least just outside of her scope of knowledge, so it was up to Shakeem and Jameson to actually accomplish their task; it wasn't like she could just snag one of their PETs and go do it herself.
If anything she was more like their bodyguard at this point, which was also something she had a background in.
"Good luck you three."
The vehicle came to a halt at the bus stop Sara was leaning on. Jameson could pass her an amulet if he liked, but Feint had left the Cyber World before Serix's Operator was mentioned at all, so she had no idea there was actually a fourth person in their little gang.
Feint was the first to get out, walking straight toward the building that she could only presume she was supposed to be heading toward, with it appearing as the epicenter of the radiation floating around this city.
She wouldn't have thought a necklace could give her entire body more protection against radiation than her suit, but then again she didn't necessarily understand the full scope of the paradox either and she wasn't one to ask many questions when given an assignment.
The limousine would pull out after Jameson and Shakeem stepped out, taking Faith away to go attend some other business while they went on with their's. She'd have liked to get those knives back when they were done with them though, of course.
Shortly they'd be dealing with their first challenge of this little quest, and Feint was almost eager to see what it was at this point.

Taking in all of what 'Feint' said, Glassman's OP nodded, fixing firmly in mind that they wouldn't get very far if they goofed up here too...and whomever Higsby's navi was would likely already be on the lookout as well...
Shakeem accepted the dagger he was presented and carefully slipped it into his left pocket. He wasn't experienced in the art of combat like Glassman or other navis, but hopefully that wouldn't matter...
Climbing out of the limo, Shakeem looked up at the complex...walking forward a bit as he took in his surroundings...but he'd have to make sure his things were all in check before progressing...
With Glassman's PET secured in one pocket, alongside another device, Shakeem quickly checked the third holster that was attached to his belt,as well as keeping the MagnoMetal amulet concealed as best as possible around his neck - with the protective metal resting within his shirt.
Before heading after Feint toward the building, Shakeem recalled one of the navis mentioning that her Operator was already there at Kotobuki...
'That must be her then...' he thought, glancing toward the woman on the bus stop, whom they had passed...
"I think our 4th teammate is over there,by the way..." he stated to Jameson.
With no-one else around, it seemed like a deduction. Why else would she be there...?

Sara struggled to take a few steps towards Shakeem and Cherish.
"Oh, you must be my backup. As for my condition....let's just say I'm a bit sensitive to EMF. As the windbag said, nothing too serious out here."
There was a beep just then signaling that Serix was back in the P.E.T.
"Oh, good, you can walk again. So yeah, this is Sara, or Idiot, whichever strikes you as more appropriate."

Taking a dagger and nodding to Faith in thanks, Jameson sticks it in his belt, hidden by his black leather coat. Not particularly versed in fighting with a blade, he had a few street brawls in his time as a wanderer, and wasn't entirely uncomfortable with the prospect of fighting. Still, he'd rather avoid it if at all possible.
Stepping out of the limo and noticing Sara as Shakeem points her out and she makes her way over, Jameson hands her one of the extra amulets.
"You're gonna need this."
Putting on his own amulet and concealing it under his shirt, he looks up at the bugged building and is almost overwhelmed with a sense of foreboding. It seemed like most problems the world faced were based in the net, and of the NetOp-Navi duo he was a part of, MirrorMan was always the one to handle them. As good a time as any to get his own hands dirty, if the world were on the brink of calamity like this...
He sends a quick message to MirrorMan through his PET, more of a simple ping to alert his navi to his whereabouts.
Things are about to get interesting.

[Taxi Entering From White Building]
Poor Xenneth. By this point he'd been dragged around, traded, and nearly killed by these girls. Now he was stuck with one that seemed to not leave him alone. She seemed to fidget the whole ride there, if not poking Xenneth, she shifted places. Laying down, on the floor, playing with her PET, every possible thing to annoy her car-mate.
Now that they arrived, the girl stepped out from the cab, throwing the cabbie a USB key stocked with the Zenny for the ride. Xenneth's friend made a motion, as if to say "after you!". Xenneth would be wise to follow, lest he be thrown out of the cab by the overexcited young lady.

The mentally batted victim slowly got out of the Taxi-cab.
More than enthusiastic to make his exit, the violet haired boy walked a good few paces from the Bus Stop and stopped as he caught his breath. Being stuck in such a tight space with a woman was like breathing poisonous air for him. After catching a good breath, the young boy had spun around, looking for the young woman to be near. At this point, he had that feeling that it was unwise to go any further than where he stood into Kotobuki itself.
It was either that or he was scared of the strange place…
Either way, it was dangerous to leave some one wondering around such a place. Truly kind at heart, some part of young Xenneth cared about her. He did not want to simply leave someone and tell them to tend for themselves (Of course he would under any other circumstance like at school for instance), but being in this situation made him feel more responsible: mature. Part of the realization that a civilian was dragged into his troubles dawned on him; feeling him with a partial guilt.
“Part of this doesn’t feel right…”
His hesitation only fueled by his dispirited thoughts as he turned to the young woman. “Umm…y-you know,” he began rubbing his left wrist, “You really don’t have to go. I could just go in by myself and you wait here.”

"After you lied to me Xenneth-Senpai... I don't think so!"
Xenneth's new BFFL was adamant. She would not budge for this silly boy and his silly antics, and instead took a stride towards - while, somewhere. She didn't know where she was headed, but her walk was fast and a little funny.

Xenneth sighed.
“This way,” the violet haired boy said reaching for the young woman’s hand and giving it a tug. “I-if you are going to come...t-then can you please not go too far. I-I really...really don’t want anything happening to someone because of me.” He said this while holding onto her hand. Even if his saddened expression did not show it too well that he was still having a grasp on her, the lift of his brow shown he finally realized it.
Xenneth let go of the young woman’s hand quickly, and then afterwards taken a quick step back with the speed of a shaky man dodging a harassment charge. He turned his back to her in haste looking for any sign of where he needed to go spotting the few nearby residents who were in the town. He made haste to approach them in a quick nervous walk, demonstrating how amazing one’s visual prowess was in the face of escaping awkward situations.
“Hello!” he waved his hand to the individuals as he approached slowly, looking at them one by one. To Sara, then to Shakeem, and...well...he stopped not wanting to acknowledge that there were any more people than two. Large groups were scary! “Uh...hi! My friend and I are...uh...wondering if that building is open to the public? We’re planning to do research of some sort! She’s over there by the way!”
As he gestured to the female and then looked to the group, and then the strange mutated building, it finally dawned on him as clear as the nervous sweat on his face: he was terrible at lying!

Shakeem watched as Xenneth approached them and glanced at the girl who was with him as well.
As the young man mentioned research and whatnot,Shakeem nodded,as if already answering his questions.
"Ah. You're doing research? That's good...should be plenty to research in there.Hope their servers won't mind." Shakeem said with a smirk, making it sound as if they were entering a restaurant instead of an off-limits facility.
"I'm sure they won't mind a bit of company now..."
Even though he had said that, the group of them knew full well that they would have at least a few minute encounters...though he hoped for none.
"So, shall we go in or are we forgetting something?" he asked the group.
A part of him wished to get this over with...but he knew they'd have to watch every step...

Serix immediately recognized the face of the boy, as did Sara.
"Oh, you're the one that operates with that girl. I was actually surprised to hear that confession you know."
Serix couldn't happen to toy with him about that before Sara piped in.
"You'd best stick to your word there, kid. After all, it's not every day that a navi like her comes around, and it's not nice to play with a girl's heart, even if it is digital in nature."
All the kidding aside, it was Serix that brought things back to the situation at hand.
"Now then, I think we're pretty much all here. So, with the doors now open, I think we should split into two groups. Group A, led by Glassman's Operator, will take the west side of the building. Group B, led by Sara, will take the right side. The plan is simple. We will be moving one floor at a time. We search each room, and server, for potential threats before moving on to the main server. Once inside, there's no telling what dangers we may face. There should be about five of us here. Each team will have one person on lookout while the other two dive into each server. Team A will need to split the workload evenly between themselves. I won't lie. There's a chance that some of us might not come back from this, but that's a risk we were all aware of when we signed up for this mission. Now then, My team will consist of Sara, Xen, and his little friend. Team A will consist of the other two. Once we reach the main server room, we will transfer the other navis here via our PETs. Yes, there is risk in that as well, but I don't think any of our so-called allies would be foolish enough to cross us at such a time. Everyone clear on this?"
Sara looked around at everyone, as she held up her PET so that Serix was properly displayed.
"Oh, and as for how I know the young one's name, his navi won't stop saying it."__________________________________________ "The point of no return." __________________________________________________ Current Music: Hero/Comatose Mix - Skillet My Thoughts: Am I awesome or what?

"Oh, you're the one that operates with that girl. I was actually surprised to hear that confession you know."
“Wait...uh...” obviously confused by the sudden voice and figures, “...I think you have.”
"You'd best stick to your word there, kid. After all, it's not every day that a navi like her comes around, and it's not nice to play with a girl's heart, even if it is digital in nature."
“Wait, I mean...” he paused again looking to the woman with him, pointing hectically, “No, you don’t understand we’re not-”
Officially, he was confused.
Xenneth had only just arrived, and already, he was trying to play catch up. The reply from Shakeem was enough to catch him off guard in the first place. With such a confident response in such a grim-looking environment, even Xenneth would not have bought his own story he told to the individual. It had not even registered that there were other Net Operators other than him and one more person seeing that Megami only sent so much in a short message across the P.E.T. The female NetNavi had special gifts: one being a mass loss of details to the point that someone questioned her being an efficient NetNavi.
Nodding his head, and after hearing his name and the NetNavi speak, he was officially as lost as ever. With the display of Serix, he sort of was hinted towards the young woman who held the NetNavi up as being some sort of associate. Maybe even an Operator? Still, it was all too fast to the point that he raised his hand in the air. It was a terrible programming in his mind thanks to being in a classroom.
“Umm...e-excuse me!” he called out in a modest tone. His cheeks flushed red and his hands close to his chest as if he could expect an attack any moment. The violet haired boy pointed his fingers to them, “U-u-u-uh...w-well...who are you people...and...what is going on?”

"First off, Digits..."
Feint made it about two steps before Sara stumbled toward her.
And then suddenly Feint's group of three turned into a group of six. She allowed the series of events to transpire without interrupting, but the end of Serix's speech also marked the end of her patience.
"... I'm a professional at this kind of work. You're not even a rookie; you're a little block of code that isn't going to tell me how to do my job."
Bland and straight to the point. The thesis of the Feint persona.
"Now you're all gonna shut your little mouths and do whatever I tell you, because I'm the only person here with any experience in this situation. And if you don't like that, deal with it, because I'm the one with the gun."
That was definitely a threat.
By this time, it was clear that Cherish had realized Faith was no longer here to tell her to hold her tongue. Meaning nothing would stop her from saying whatever she wanted to say, which spelled trouble for the other five souls here.
"We're not "splitting up". We're not "sneaking in". We're walking in there, getting the job done, and walking out. If anybody inside has a problem with it, I'll deal with them. If any of you have a problem with it, you can hit the road."
If nothing else, they had already established that they were expected anyway.
"Shakeem, you're allowed to talk. Jameson, you too, but you're still on probation for that stunt from earlier. You--"
Feint glared harshly toward Xenneth and emphasized "you" just as harshly as she continued.
"-- Your not saying a word. If you even open up your mouth to breathe I'm ripping out your tongue."
It was pretty well established that Xenneth was a terrible liar.
And Feint didn't like that.
"Going to do research". Psh. Even if TornadoMan hadn't told her to say the same thing, it didn't take a genius to know this kid wasn't a researcher of any kind.
Feint addressed Sara and "Xenneth's Girlfriend" next with just as much harshness as she'd shown Xen.
"And let me find either of you two doing something stupid too. Try me."
She'd almost went over and snatched Sara's PET out of her hand to give Serix a face to face chew-out session, but unfortunately that'd be a waste of what little time they had to do their job here.
"Now get all of your crap together and let's go."
Cherish wasted no time waiting for the others to follow. If they didn't want to, she didn't care. She only needed one of them anyway and if nothing else she could clear a path if she somehow managed to get them all to stay behind.
She walked at a slightly accelerated (or maybe just agitated) pace as she beelined toward the front entrance of the building.
They'd literally need a tank to keep her out, and even then, she'd actually blown one of those up before. If this building was anything but occupied, there was a lot of trouble in store for whoever was immediately inside.
((OOC: Sorry, Feint's a bish. Also leaving in less than two weeks, so really trying to hurry this part up so that it doesn't become an awkward scene with one person suddenly disappearing without reason, lol.))
((Wasn't a bad plan, Senka. Feint just didn't like it because she doesn't like people. ))
