Vanguard.EXE Barrage after barrage of fiery onslaught brought Vanguard to his knees, crumbled as a warrior. Pain and anger invaded his every thought and feeling, as he felt his constitution crumbling away.
And, then, in a surge of dark power, he felt his power return to him. A dark aura tinting his vision, he was lifted from the ground, a whole new level of power surging through him.
He wasn't done yet.

From on high, a shining, bright pinkish-purple light pierced through the sky, and down to earth, where ot pierced Vangaurd's heart. In his dying breaths, he would feel himself change, imperceptible to any without an eye for truth. Juno's Blessing Revival Skill Infinite Uses Revives target as if the battle had just begun. Reverses any negative status effects, glitches, or panel effects on the target for the rest of the battle. Target gains one attack slot, and all of target's attacks gain Jam. In addition, target gains an item: Helical Halo Reminder of one's innermost deceit.CURSED: Cannot be removed. AUTOEQUIP Does not take up a crest slot. Can be equipped multiple times, up to ten. Unknown Effect Jam: All temporary buffs on the afflicted navi are removed and can't be added for 2 turns. Does not stop regen. Once ended, a Navi can't be Jammed for 4 turns.

Out of Character Um, that's a surprise.
Because I am me, I will RP from here on. Whether or not you want to is you, but, this giant block of just stats is driving me nuts.
Vanguard.EXE He fell. Once again, he had fallen, just short of the glory he was seeking . . . he felt his dark essence scramble up, and, then, threaten to tear itself apart. The strain on his body was immense. . .another battle, hard fought, without a win.
He felt the void coming for him. Fate had another plan, though. Through his closing eyelids, he saw a ray of pink pierce the sky - a familiar sight. The very fabric of reality cracked and shattered, the ray of pink striking through his core.
The last time he saw that ray, it had transported him into Elysium. As nice as it would be to not be deleted, he'd much rather finish this fight. . .
He figured he wasn't being teleported anywhere when he didn't suddenly cease to exist. Instead, Vanguard felt revitalized, life and vigor returning to his dark data. And it didn't come peacefully, either - life fought its way back into him, forcing his eyes open and knocking whatever air he had left out of him. He gasped for breath, struggling to live just as hard as life was struggling to have him. Does it have to hurt this much?
He didn't have to struggle to get off the ground. The radiance lifted him up, placing him softly on his feet - the first gentle thing it did. When it left him be, he gave himself a quick once-over, just to make sure he wasn't dreaming.
Above his head, he had this strange symbol. Typical Juno-style, it was, of course, pink. Not necessarily his style, but, if it brought him back to life, he wasn't complaining. He lowered his gaze back to the fiery Navi, flashing a wicked grin. He figured the pink figure over his head kind of lowered the fear factor quite a bit. He didn't care.
"I hope you're ready for round two."
Beyond that, the two were fighters. Their blows would speak for them - and she was a fierce one. Strong, fast, dangerous - he'd have to go all out, all over again. Hopefully, with his second wind, he'd have a chance.
He started off simple - throwing his dark data into a frenzy. On command, he felt his limitations and inhibitions shattering, as his rage and brutality burst through their cage.
"You had your chance - now, it's my turn!"
His dark power flowed through him, less stable but far stronger than before. He focused his energy into speed, using his enhanced endurance and conditioning to give him the edge he needed.
The only way to fight something so fierce is to strike back twice as hard.
One of his after images from an earlier attack reappeared, striking at Syrix before disappearing again. He followed up after it, a burst of radiance akin to the crest over his head called into existence in his hand. He struck at the ground in front of her, a burst of light springing from his touch.
At this severity, he wasn't pulling any stops. Juno wasn't holding out on him - he wasn't going to disappoint. The fact that the pink self-proclaimed-overlord was watching him was, he guessed, privilege enough - he wasn't about to go back to Elysium with a loss.
His right hand shifted into a purple cross-guard, sporting a meter long sword of pure darkness. Swinging back up, he aimed the life-drawing blade for her hip, tracing it diagonally to her shoulder.
Drawing the blade back, he finished the assault with the weapon by attempting to run her through, thrusting the blade right towards her heart.
He didn't let up, though. The blade dematerialized from his grasp, and he followed up with a series of hard punches, reaching speeds he'd never accomplished before. Afterwords, he took a tentative step back, ready to carry this through to the end.
"You may be stronger. . .but I won't give up. I'll rise and fall as many times as I need to, in order to absolutely make sure that you don't leave here walking."
He raised a hand to the air, closing his fiery fist, commanding something far off and unseen. An instant later, a slew of meteors, with flames reminiscent of his hands', fell from the sky, all aimed at the opposing Navi. No holding back.
