I feel like there's been a topic for this before, but we've got new members a lot recently.
What Online Games (MMO types, as well as genre preferences for traditional games) Does everyone play/like.
I'll Start I suppose.
I own The Secret World (Just got it, was on sale), Final Fantasy XIV, League of Legends, and Guild Wars. In the past I have spent time playing WoW, Dungeon Fighter Online (or Dungeon and Fighter in asian countries), Maplestory (A bit), and various other games that I spent not a lot of time on.
Traditional games I like playing RPGs a lot, Fighting Games (Though I'm terrible at them), Action, and basically anything with a Cyberpunk/Space theme.
Recent traditional games: Endless Legends, Tales of Xillia 2, Tales of Graces f, Resonance of Fate, On the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness Episode 1-4, Pokemon Omega Ruby, Tales of Maj'Eyal. (List constantly expanding.
Others?

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Fire Emblem Awakening.
Sorry I didn't add this sooner but my favorite type of games I like RPG's.
But honestly I like all types of games.

I played DFO myself too,but haven't played it for a while (though it's INTERESTING that Neople picked it up and revived it). Also,I played Maplestory not too long ago,but I think my computer doesn't like it anymore.
Occasionally,I play Mabinogi, but not very often lately...love how huge the game is though and I've played it since Beta in 2008.
I have been playing Toontown Infinite quite actively though (A.K.A everyday).
If hackers didn't start taking over,I'd play Gunbound still, but yeah...
As far as games on actual consoles, I had a blast playing Mario Kart Wii recently and still having a blast with Golden Sun - The Lost Age.
and back when KartRider was here in the U.S.A I loved that more than any MMO game, too.
...I'll stop now before I ramble too much. But yeah...

Never stop rambling. GS:TLA is real good, its just sad how difficult it is to transfer from the first to the second game because the code stuff is annoying and we don't use link cables anymore.

I PLAY A LOT OF GAMES Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Payday 2, Warframe, Killing Floor, Left 4 Dead 2, Unturned Traditional games: SSB4, Dark Souls 2, Watch_Dogs, Dark Souls 1, Megaman BN 1-6, Megaman Starforce 3 Black Ace/Red Joker, and tons of other crap I can't find. Ask me for some tips, I beat almost every one of these, aside from MMBN 1 and 2, Red Joker, Watch Dogs, and Dark Souls 1

Online: None of them. I played Final Fantasy XI very briefly back in the day. Maple Story a bit as well. Neither of them currently.
I've always played Pokemon. I've got a living Pokedex (that means one of every species, every stage of every evolution line, in my box system, not just a completed Pokedex)
I'm also into Shin Megami Tensei, I've played Devil Survivor, Strange Journey, and IV Animal Crossing is actually a mainstay for me as well but that's kinda beside the point.
I'm not so into FPS anymore but I was really into Borderlands for a while (only played the first but I maxed everything on that game) Skyrim and Fallout are also great.
Generally I guess I'd be an RPG kindof gamer. I love games where the environment, story, and characters are all a world to themselves that you get to explore. Particularly, I enjoy games where you create your character either through a beginning of the game creation process/leveling up/dialogue options, or your character is a "silent protagonist" as in Pokemon where you're left to imagine the type of character they are for yourself.
I also like horror games but I haven't seen a good one of those in a long time. The best I've seen recently is Outlast but I still have to play that.
The game I'm looking forward to more than any other game is No Man's Sky, I can't wait to play it.
While we're on the topic of games, I love board games as well. The three that are always getting played for me are Risk, King of Tokyo/New York, and Smallworld

I mostly play retro games, ideally RPGs. 90% of my game library is PS1 and before, though my PS2 collection is steadily building as well.
The only MMO games I really play are SMITE and WoW. The latter is honestly only because of the investment that I've put into it so far.
Traditional games are mainly RPGs, Platformers and Sim/Strategy type games. I enjoy older sports games, like NFL Quarterback Club, but as soon as they started getting more...sophisticated, I guess, I couldn't get into them anymore.
I prefer older (noticing a trend? :V) shooters. Quake, Hexen, Doom, Unreal Tournament, etc. I don't like the squad-based, military-style shooters because there's not enough game in them. It's all tactics, and not enough fun (for me).
That is about all. Also all things Megaman. Even the terrible ones. :V

Tactics is a lot of the fun for me but most modern shooters devolve away from that sadly. I played unreal tournament a lot for a summer. Got pretty good at it.

the only shooter I spent any significant time playing was Killzone 2, that was actually way fun, most of the maps were awesome and they were pretty tactics oriented (which I liked) it was very "your unit choice matters and team cohesion is important" and not the CoD style " to win, unlock and pick good stuff, knife knife knife"
there were a few guys who often invited me to play with them to round out a team. I played an Engineer and was pretty top notch with placing turrets to force opponents down the path I wanted them to go, where I laid in wait with a shotgun to finish them off. I was pretty high on the leaderboards for a while actually
Then the PS3 broke and I haven't gone back
