Battle Type: Single Judge Combatants: Gravity Beetle, ? Version: Off Duration: Intro Posts as needed, 5 Battle Posts.
Setting: New Hope; The Gigamerican ONB Airfield.
*The sun falls just below the horizon on the shore-front military installation of New Hope. The tower that rises from the ocean and makes up the ONB HQ looms in the distance, casting a subtle shadow on the visage of a gigantic aircraft preparing to launch for reasons unknown. Appearing similar to a giant, flying aircraft carrier, the ONB vessel apparently dubbed the "Goliath" by the wording on its side stands in comparative silence, as the deafening rumble currently released by its engines is nothing in the face of the hyper-sonic roar that it is to release when fully active.
At the forefront of this behemoth of a ship, overlooking the launch-decks that will some day be teaming with automated attack-drones, stands a gilded black navi. A set of massive horns set vertically on his head, the larger one in the rear shining an onyx black and the smaller in the front releasing a bright golden glint from its axe-like blade, rise above the scene like a monolithic spire as the Navi issues commands to the automated programs below. Reflected in his words and voice alike is the desire to launch this giant weapon before nightfall, yet he stands fully unaware of the fact that this vessel would be the scene of combat before its intended purpose....

Clinging to the side of the Air-Ship, was a lone figure with casual clothing and a scarf whipping about in the wind. He brushed his teal colored hair from his face, as he continued to try to find his way towards some sort of access point to get into the inner-workings of the ship, since that would logically be the easiest way to disable the thing, or at least set it back awhile.
It was a strange feeling, infiltrating something tied to the ONB like this. Generally he worked, no so much with them, or for them, but on the same page as them. Granted, he wasn't against this kind of work, thus why he wasn't part of them already and actually going through with his requested task. Plus, the pay was well worth it.
So far he had avoided detection, or so he assumed by the lack of any alarms set off. But the aircraft was already starting its take off procedures, and he was running out of time to finish what he set out to do. He knew it would still be a little while before it was fully ready to take off, and he needed to, at the least, be inside the thing when that happened.
Cursing into the winds that tore at him and his grip as he climbed towards the top of the side he was on. Deciding to test his luck getting off the side of the vessel, and onto one of the decks, and hopefully find an easier way inside that way. Surely it would be more likely he would be seen, but he had no doubts behind being able to deal with any riffraff that he happened upon. I would just make the job a little more painstaking is all.

*The moment that the would-be saboteur breaks the light of the deck, one of the swarm of Mr. Programs hovering about spots him and lets out a shriek. In spite of the mystery Navi's obvious focus on stealth, the massive number of eyes on deck makes it impossible to not be noticed. Needless to say, this alerts the other programs to the situation and they begin to scramble about, entering the vessel via specially designed ports. The frantic scene quickly gains the attention of the apparent captain, who glances over his shoulder and down to the deck below from his perch*
Gravity Beetle: Bah, why now? We're so close to take-off.
*Gravity Beetle then turns his back to the intruder and crosses his arms, obviously annoyed*
Gravity Beetle: Launch the drones and take care of this pes-
*Gravity Beetle stops mid-command as a realization dawns on him.... this was a flight test, not a combat test. Defense systems wouldn't be installed for at least a week. Slapping his own face with a wince, the obsidian shelled Navi shakes his head and drops his shoulders with a sigh. He then pulls himself together and glances over his shoulder at the intruder again, continuing his conversation with himself*
Gravity Beetle: Well, even if I can't order a strike, at least I can still make a dramatic entrance.
*Turning with a stomp, the spacial Navi leaps from his perch and parts his shell, revealing a pair of over-sized boosters on his back. He then hovers over a few yards, surprisingly slowly given the size of the jets on his back, and drops from the sky like a meteor, slamming into the deck in front of the unknown Navi with enough force to shake the entire ship, and creating a large dent in the process. He remains with head lowered for several moments before opening his eyes and slowly raising them to the intruder*
Gravity Beetle: (For the love of... now I'm going to have a bear of a time getting that dent out.....)
*Gravity Beetle then stands tall in the center of the crater that he'd just made, not showing his anger with himself even mildly as his twin horns pierce the sky and cast their looming shadow*
Gravity Beetle: You are not an authorized visitor to this area. State your business and submit or be terminated.

A sigh escaped his mouth as the shriek was heard. He couldn't catch a break lately, and this one could cost him dearly. As the programs scattered, he finished hauling himself onto the deck and started to head towards what looked like a rather normal Hatch for Navis to enter the inner areas. This how ever would be cut short by the sound of thrusters. The aircraft wasn't launching, that would have a much different sound...what could it...
Before his mind could continue the thought, suddenly the heavily armored navi landed before him, causing him to stop his half run, both in surprise, and to catch his balance from the shock of the landing.
He eyed the navi, not recognizing him, he realized he couldn't even try to talk his way out of why he was here. This was farther confirmed by the first thing he said immediately after he considered that thought.
He had to make a decision real quick on how to go about this. He could just try to talk it off as he was trying to get a sneak peek at the craft, and try to leave with no farther confrontation. Or... 'Screw it, lets do it.'
"My business is not to be discussed with the likes of you."
This was probably foolish, and reckless, but there wasn't much else he could do to try to succeed in his mission. He didn't make a move, preferring to be on the defensive rather then offensive. Taking up a defensive stance, he stared down the navi across from him, all the while the wind tossing his hair and scarf to and fro, waiting to see how he would react.

*This kind of reaction wasn't exactly unexpected, but it was, without a doubt, not the one that the space-bending Navi wanted. Looking around quickly, Gravity Beetle realizes that the battlefield was already far too much in this Navi's favor.... it was obvious that this opponent was well versed in stealth, otherwise he never could have made it this far. And with the entire air-field open to him, there would be a plethora of well-hidden places to strike from. At this thought, Gravity Beetle's eyes close and he releases a sigh*
Gravity Beetle: (I guess it can't be helped then....)
*Quickly regaining focus on his opponent, Gravity Beetle crosses his arms and stands tall, repositioning his stance to one more solidly in place*
Gravity Beetle: That's where you're wrong, stranger....
*Gravity Beetle's eyes narrow at these words. With his pause, a sudden rocking far more powerful than the one brought on by his fall overtakes the ship. the hatches shut tight and the engines roar to full power, releasing a torrential down-draft. After mere moments, the air-ship begins to ascend into the air. Slowly at first, but faster and faster with each passing moment. The down-draft and g-force created by this quickly rises to crushing levels, yet Gravity Beetle remains steadfast, not even flinching in the face of it all. In mere moments the sunset turns to daylight as the parallax of the horizon drops and the ship breaks into full sunlight, drifting out over the ocean as it finally levels off, hovering between New Life and the shore-front air field now at least a few thousand feet below. In spite of the scream let off just moments before, the engines now stand surprisingly quiet as the ship hovers, almost as if prepared to observe the fight to come
With the battleship now far away from all potential hiding spots and the deck secured, Gravity Beetle breaks his stance and thrusts his arms to the side and his horns to the sky. A black energy forms around his tightly clenched fists, quickly taking a form of kin to darkened static; a strange and empty void, a gateway to nothingness*
Gravity Beetle: ....my business is whatever I TELL you my business is!
<Turn 1>
*In contrast to the stranger, Gravity Beetle preferred the chance to strike first, and took full advantage. Thrusting his fists forward one at a time, he launches the spacial rifts as if he were throwing stones. They slowly travel in an arcing motion toward the stranger, seeming to pull in reality itself as they do so. With these two attacks made, Gravity Beetle reels back and leaps toward the stranger, gaining just enough vertical momentum to end his trajectory right on top of him and coming down with a crushing slam, shaking the apparently highly durable deck as he does so once again*
Gravity Beetle: (Oh please don't let there be another dent...)
*Opening his eyes after the crash, Gravity Beetle is relieved to find that the deck can indeed take the weight of a normal jump and is no worse for the ware. With a silent sigh, he raises his eyes back to his opponent and lowers his stance, his giant horns now directly pointed at him like a pair of lances prepared to joust*

Apologies, I started on this post several times, (at least 3) and always got distracted and never finished it...having to start over each time. :l
He narrowed his eyes as he watched the navi across from him changed his stance, expecting his to strike. Instead, the entire craft started shaking violently, as it started to climb into the sky. This was the last thing he wanted, not only having to face the guard dog on duty, but also have to try to do what he came to do, and get off safely...while its airborne...
'dinkit...why me?'
The sheer forces at work as the craft climbed into the sky prevented him from doing much more then struggle to keep his knees from buckling. He succeeded at that, if just barely. As the navi finished speaking, he tightened his hands into fists, willing two items to be summoned forth. In his right hand formed a broad sword, with intricate designs along its blade, in his left, a large kite shield, with matching designs.
He completely ignored the two orbs of energy that warped the area around them as they flew, not wanting to find out if he could deflect them some how. Rather, he started to run in a wide arc around to the right, though this was interrupted as well when he had to roll farther away to prevent being crushed by the leaping navi.
"Try me."
He rose to his feet, and quickly closed the gap between himself and the guardian. As he neared he lunged at him low, to avoid the horn aimed at him, and drove his sword upwards towards the center of his enemies chest. Odds were slim that it would do more then scratch the paint on his armor, but if he was lucky, it might do more. Immediately after, he quickly rose while he spun around with a mighty back hand swing, attempting to slam his shield into the side of the navis head.

*The stranger's attack came off in a fairly unexpected way, catching the armor-plated Navi off-guard as he'd been prepared for a more direct strike. As the blade scrapes along his under-belly, he winces and recoils slightly; in spite of his heavy armor, he still takes the damage full-on. Obviously angered by how quickly he took damage, he quickly swings his horns around with a loud growl.... just in time to have a shield bash squarely into the side of his face. While the damage from this attack wasn't as intense, the fact that he'd been taken off guard again makes it all the more painful. Stunned for a brief moment, Gravity Beetle staggers back a few steps, his head still to the side from being slammed, before looking back to his opponent with his head lowered like before. In his dark red eyes a storm was brewing, and this stranger was right at the center*
Gravity Beetle: Blasted sucker-punching....!
*Gravity Beetle's fists clench and his horns, still aimed at the stranger, part like an open pair of scissors. It's at this point that his entire body begins to tense up and his eyes change shade to a brighter red, almost glowing through the golden light of the sunset. After a moment of this show, a low-pitched humming noise begins to resound and Gravity Beetle's entire form starts to flash with an unnatural light. The light show begins subtlety at first, but after a moment the normal black and gold tones of his armor-plated hide are hidden by an array of randomly changing colors and lights. As the flashing intensifies, the intent of this show becomes increasingly obvious; Gravity Beetle was now generating a powerful gravitational force, literally drawing his opponent toward himself like a magnet. And to make matters worse, the set of orbs that the stranger had avoided before suddenly arc back and make a second pass, now roughly three times their original size. While still moving at the same pace, they now seem to be much faster than before as they orbit around due to their substantially increased mass. Before long they pass in front of Gravity Beetle as they irregularly orbit their target, still intent on performing whatever sinister intent their summoner had.
As the orbs pass, Gravity Beetle sees his chance and doesn't let it go to waste. Parting his wings with a blast of air, the armor-plated Navi launches forward like a missile. With his body's unnatural gravitational pull becoming stronger the closer he gets, his twin horns stand agape and surging with a powerful gravitational and paralytic power, prepared to snap shut the moment they make contact with their target....*

x.x Sorry, I thought I had posted here already.
His attacks had been successful, and seemed to be more effective then he actually had planed for. That was good, but his small victory would quickly be overshadowed by what was coming yet. He stood squared off across from the armored navi, but as he watched the light show unfold, he couldn't shake a feeling of dread. Something bad was about to happen...
Around that time, he noticed the navi was getting closer. Not because either party was intentionally moving closer, but because of the sudden shift in gravity, which he found himself slowly being pulled towards the other navi. This changed the whole ball game, he wasn't exactly used to having to deal with the basic laws of physics being manipulated like this.
Putting forth some effort, he managed to back step at a pace that kept him from coming any closer. From the corner of his eye though, he caught sight of the orbs from earlier. Well, what he assumed were the same orbs, given their sudden increase in size. One came dangerously close, but thus far seemed to be orbiting erratically around the armored navi, more so then targeting himself.
But they very well might have just be a distraction, as while he was still battling the strange shift in gravitational pull, and the orbs that he had no interest in finding out what they do if they hit, he missed the initial launch of the navis charge. Seeing it when he did though, or rather processing what he saw when he did, did him little good, as he didn't have the time to evade like he needed, and was much like a sitting duck.
He let out a small yelp of pain as the electrical field hit, and then the clamping of his horns. He did all he could to try to brace himself for the follow up he fully expected, while concentrating on building up power for a retaliation when he got a chance, and saw an opening.

*The moment his target is between them, Gravity Beetle's horns snap shut like a vice, holding the sword-wielder in place as he plants his feet onto the ground and slides to a halt, the gravitational force that his body now exerts causing the airship to tilt in mid air, almost throwing both Navis overboard in the process. But this didn't matter to the herculean Navi much, all that mattered at this point was the Navi now held helpless between his horns. I have you now, he thought to himself as he reels his head back and prepares to do his worst... and that's when he realizes something. Yes, his attack managed to connect, but in his angered state, Gravity Beetle had forgotten something.
Gravity Beetle: I didn't open the void to throw him into!
*Gravity Beetle clenches both his fists and his horns in frustration.... his big chance to do some real damage, but his haste to retaliate ruined the opportunity. He could attempt to throw him into the voids he'd created earlier, but the force of the throw and the nature of the orbs would be far more likely to cause the stranger to simply orbit a few times before coming to a semi-gentle stop. So, naturally, gravity beetle reluctantly and angrily fell back to the next best thing; brute force! Lifting his captured target high, Gravity Beetle uses all of his strength and weight to pile-drive the object of his annoyance head-first into the hardened steel deck of the ship with a sharp CLANG. The force of the throw causes the formerly captured Navi to ricochet off away from Gravity Beetle.
Gravity Beetle: ....lucky little....!
*Not content to make the same mistake twice, Gravity Beetle's body once again flares up and begins generating a gravitational force. However, this time the core of the force is located into his clenched fist rather than his horns. After a moment, the pair of orbs that he'd sent out at the start of the fight, now even larger than before, circle around and change orbit to Gravity Beetle. After a moment their orbit collapses and they are absorbed into the herculean Navi's fist, which he thrusts up and opens to the sky. A small spark then rises skyward and releases one bright flash before disappearing without a trace. A split second later, the point where the spark had been turns pitch black and seems to almost crack across the sky, quickly opening up a rift in space itself; a small black hole.
With the void now in place, a gravitational pull roughly half that of the network below now pulls at both combatants, effectively halving their weight as the nothingness above stands agape, prepared to devour anything that draws too close to the event horizon. With the field even more in his favor, Gravity Beetle slams one of his feet into the ground and clenches his fists, menacing his opponent as he challenges another attack*
