Ruling: Single Judge Combtants: Strike | Syaoran | Ruby Version Settings: Off Duration: 1 Intro Post, 5 Battle Posts, [receive judge's ruling], Winner makes the finishing post
Setting: Gigamerican Combat District
A large dome-shaped stadium with a football-field-sized arena stands in the dead center of the Combat District. Navis of every nation and type flood the stands and cheer with indistinguishable roars as lens flares and camera flashes constantly flicker around from the audience. Studio Cameras capture every corner of the battle field and display their footage on four massive monitors centered above the stadium. Each monitor is angled to face each of the cardinal directions -- North, South, East, and West -- so that the entire audience is able to view at least one screen.
Smoke machines distort the entire field with a gray cloud as three combatants rise from the center of the arena. Strike. Syaoran. And Ruby.
The heat of the moment -- the stress, the anxiety, the shyness, the confidence, the bravery -- overtakes them as literally hundreds of thousands cheer them on to fight amongst themselves until a winner is determined.
But the bell had yet to ring.
(OOC: Note -- this isn't my intro post. I'll let ya'll go ahead and make your's first.)

Syaoran walked into the arena and looked around just completely amazed at the size,of the arena. He was very nervous since, this is his first REAL battle against another navi. (Not counting the one with Raze) He thought to himself, "Boy this is a huge arena. I should take advantage of this. Speaking of advantages, I should probably ask Resah to do some research on my opponents for me." With that in mind he quickly contacted his operator and stepped into the middle of the field.

"Hm...seems a little crowded."
With a snap of her fingers, Ruby created a bubble around herself, blocking out the roar of the crowd.
"That's better. Now, who are we waiting on again?"
She knew that it was Strike, but was unsure as to what was taking him so long.

Much t Ruby's surprise, Strike was already there! The three of them had risen from a platform in the center of the arena together so nobody was really waiting on anybody... they were just waiting on the bell to ring so that the match could be underway.
As they stood there in the middle of the field, a black-and-white striped Navi walked toward them.... evidently, it was the referee of the match.
"Alright, listen up folks! I wanna clean, fair fight! No Auto-Hitting, no Power-Playing, no God-Moding, and no Meta-Gaming!"
It was strange for Ruby and Strike to hear the Ref say this... but it kind of made sense, since Sya had yet to actually be introduced to the rules of RP Battling.
"Other than that, you're free to do anything! These fights aren't limited by the Values listed in your Stats-Page, but only by the creativity and utilization of your Armor, Weapons, and Strengths! Balance is important, as well! Don't expect to go avoiding or shrugging off every attack thrown at you -- and don't pretend that all of your attacks are going to hit! Every action is merely an attempt, but it's not a definite success!"
So he was pretty much re-iterating what he'd already said. But the Ref continued, because there was clearly more to be said.
"It's not uncommon for limbs to go flying, so don't take it personal if it happens to you... but it's also courteous not to take such violent actions against another Navi! You all seem like a civilized bunch, so I don't want to see any permanent damage done here! But alas, it's not like I can do anything to stop it..."
"And lastly, Special Emulations and Chips -- or any Item for that matter -- can still be used in RP Battles! Use everything to your advantage, but be careful to make sure that you don't start getting stale with your fighting moves! No one came to see you just chop up and down all day! we want to see some variety and creativity in here! Capture the audience's attention!"
"And with that, LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!"
The crowds roared with excitement at the Ref's announcement... The anticipated moment had finally arrived!
((Since Sya's new to this, we'll let Ruby go first, then Strike go Second, and Sya Third. Watch how we play, and then you should be able to get a feel from what you're supposed to be doing from that. We'll stick to that posting order until we've each reached 5 posts, then when the Winner is determined, they'll get 1 more post to finish the battle.))
((Also Senka, this is Sya's first RP Battle, so don't go lolzers crazy on the poor guy. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A LEARNING EXPERIENCE.))
((And lastly, as far as 'Grabs' are concerned -- it's pretty difficult to RP a grab without making it sound like a guaranteed success. That being said, if you're unable to do that, then just state the intentions of your grabs, after you've made them. Do note, though, that breaking away from that grab is still a very possible response, and such action will pretty much ensure the failure of the rest of the Attacks you made that turn that were directly related to the grab.
IE: If I were to RP something like: "Strike grabbed Ruby be her collar, planning to drag her across the field into the stands, then start making out with her because he's crazy like that", Senka would be allowed to respond with: "Strike managed to get a good grip on Ruby's collar, but she was able to yank herself away before he had the chance to drag her to the crowd and get dirty".
On that note, it would not be okay if Senka responded with something like "Strike managed to get a good grip on Ruby's collar, but she kicked him in the nads as a natural response to his actions that triggered the rape alarm inside of her mind". That's auto-hitting. Now he could respond with something like "Ruby kicked at his nads, etc etc", but saying she successfully hit him without my consent is Auto-Hitting and isn't allowed.
Also Senka, Ruby's going to be my sock-puppet for any other further examples I end up needing to share in the future, so... thank you for you involuntary service ;D ))

Once the bell sounded, a deafening screech erupted from Ruby's lips. Members of the audience were falling unconscious at the noise. Walls were shaking, and tye arena itself began to quake a bit. Then, after a good five seconds, it was over.
"Let's see you do better. Oh wait, you probably can't hear me right now. No worries, it should go away in a few minutes."
Ruby couldn't help but giggle a bit as she taunted the other two.

Strike plugged both his ears during Ruby's obnoxious scream, but that didn't really stop it from literally blowing him back a few steps. Well, sliding back a few feet.... he was still standing upright, but the density of the volume was able to push him back like a gust of wind without knocking him off balance.
When the shaking of the area had finally stopped, Strike noticed Ruby's lips were moving... but no sound was coming out.
Or maybe there was, and he just couldn't here it?
"Well that was lou--..."
Strike stopped talking once he'd realized that he couldn't even hear his own voice just now. And presumably, nobody else in the arena, save Ruby, could either.
That was an opportunity he just couldn't pass up....
" ... That was loud, buuut... I could make you scream louder."
He wasn't one to quit trying, it seemed.
And his ever-widening grin would probably drive Ruby more insane than his ridiculous... everything else. Strike was true to his promise, though, and wouldn't attack the lady. Instead, he ran over to Sya and prepared for a ridiculously over-wound-up kick to his shin.
No really, it was way over wound-up. He'd basically leaned his entire torso forward and his right leg back as far as he could before shifting his weight so quickly he'd almost landed on hit butt after he'd finished whipping that foot back around to the front side of his body. But he didn't -- he only stumbled back a few steps and caught himself before falling.
While this was happening, Ruby would feel a couple taps on the bottom of her back that would attempt to merit her attention. Should it succeed, she'd turn around to see quite the fondest creature staring at her.
It was a gnome-sized 'navi' with an obnoxiously poofy green afro and dark-green skin. It wore pretty much style-less clothing consisting of only a bright green T-Shirt, shorts, and shoes. Its eyes were easily the size of a tennis-ball, and its solid black pupils the size of a ping-pon ball... and it was difficult not to notice the cross-eyed nature of this strange, small individual. Its cheeks were inflated with air to the point that they were almost as big as its eyes, and squished tightly between those cheeks were duck-like puckered lips. A strange individual indeed.
This was one of Strike's "fans", but neither Sya nor Ruby would really know that... if anything, they'd thought it was Ruby's fan!
As it stood there, staring her in the eyes (or as closely to that as it possibly could, because of its crossed eyes), it raised both arms with hands opening and closing, as if requesting to be held or hugged (or as if requesting something else, but that was up to Ruby to discern).
Evidently, the fans were more interested in pretty women than in Strike, so... he'd probably be alone for this fight.

Syaoran flattened his ears as Ruby screamed. This helped to reduce the effect of the sonar blast. Thus he was able to keep his hearing somewhat, though there was a loud ringing. Fortunately he recovered just before Strike kicked him. He quickly stepped to the side, his shoes glowing with a blue aura. Lastly he launched a volley of fireballs at eveything on the stadium, partially with an intention to entertain the concsious audience, but mostly to hit Strike and Ruby back.

Ruby screamed about ten times as loud as before, upon finding that she had been assaulted. When the so called fans appeared, she used her feminine charms in an attempt to persuade them to join her. She kindly asked a few of them, in a very indirect way to stand in the way of the blasts as she worked up some magical energy. This would be visualized as a magical circle lit up on the ground around her.
"Now now, no need to get touchy."

The fan was displeased when Ruby denied his inaudible request! So displeased, in fact, that it had a powerful urge to express that displeasure in the most more unforgiving form possible. A stomp to the big toe.
Incidentally, that pain in Ruby's foot would either distract her from whatever she was doing on the ground, or distract her for long enough to be hit by the incoming fireballs from Sya.
Strike ended up being blown away by Ruby's second scream. It'd taken everything in him just to stay on his feet during her first yell, but since this one was ten-times the volume, he was swept away pretty easily.
Conveniently, though, this rapid shift in position caused the unintentional evasion of Sya's fireballs, so it was sort of a blessing in disguise. He was on the opposite end of the arena than both of his opponent's by this point, though, so it'd take him a few seconds to dart back to the other side where things continued to happen.
In fact, it took him so long to get back over there, that he didn't even do anything else this turn. Not the fastest runner, you could say.

Upon hearing the second scream, Syaoran quickly dropped to the floor in an attempt to avoid getting blown off. He was still battered a few feet away, but nowhere near to the extent that Strike had. He then got up and ran to the center of the arena and unsheathed his Data Sword, focusing energy into it and then spun in a circle creating a large shockwave of energy that seemed to track both Strike and Ruby due to its size. Afterwards he had to shake his head a bit as the ringing from listening to Ruby's scream reverberated in his eardrums.

The Shockwave hit Ruby, but didn't effect her too badly. Still, this was a perfect opportunity to use her charms to her advantage. She quickly fell to the ground and started crying. Well, not actually crying, but acting like she was.
"I...I knew we were going to fight....but I didn't think you would be so mean about it."
She lifted her head, producing false tears and giving both of the other combatants a look that conveyed both sorrow and mistrust. While these were not her true feelings, she didn't see the harm in making them appear to be.

As Strike was still sprinting back toward his competitors, the shockwave threatened to intercept his approach. This was the perfect opportunity to pull off an incredibly attractive stunt maneuver for the audience to cheer at -- an opportunity he dare not pass up!
As the shockwave drew near, Strike dropped to his knees and leaned his upper body back whilst keeping his forward momentum so that he would slide along the ground and "limbo" his way underneath the oncoming attack.
The execution was flawless. Time had almost slowed down from Strike's perspective as he could sense the audience's suspense. Maybe they were gasping in fear, or maybe they'd feel a burst of excitement well up within their chests as they saw his body sliding toward the shockwave, knowing what the outcome would be. It was a feat that only few could perform, and it was worthy of every amount of attention that it merited.
The only issue was that Strike didn't lean back far enough, so despite trying to look like a star from an action movie, narrowly sliding under a fatal attack, he actually collided with it anyway. It was an anti-climatic moment if there ever was one.
The force of the wave knocked Strike completely off balance and caused him to tumble backwards into the trail of dust he'd just created from his failure of a sliding evasion. As the dust settled down, he had time to crawl back to his feet and summon to himself a three-headed spear-like weapon-contraption as he continued his pursuit towards Ruby and Sya.
As he approached Sya, he jumped up and swung his weapon in a massive arc over Sya's torso -- not necessarily quickly or powerfully, but more or less simply to throw a 'revenge blow' for the hit he had just taken.
Over near Ruby, the fan that she had so heartlessly neglected earlier was able to overlook its frustrations and emotions at the sight of her crying. It gently walked over and gave her a warm-hearted embrace, much like how a small child would hug its mother. It gained an "Awww" from the audience, but the pungent odor of the creature was strong enough that it'd probably only make Ruby cry harder.

Syaoran still recovering from the force of the scream only dodged at a split second so the attack grazed his shoulder. He noticed he was right next to Ruby and soon afterward noticed the pungent smell of the fan. His nose being rather sensitve, this infuriated him and he quickly plucked the fan off of her and sent it flying as far away as he could possibly throw it. Still recovering from the stench, he lost balance and fell on Ruby.

Ruby's eyes turned into rotating plus signs as she quickly grabbed Sya, spun, and threw him towards Strike.
"A woman's charm, it never fails."
She followed up with a focused sonic wave directed at Sya's back, hoping that it would propell him towards Strike even faster.
"You really shouldn't let your guard down so much."
To follow up, the female navi produced a megaphone from duo knows where, to amplify another scream, which would break any glass like objects within the arena.
