((New strategy: Coordinates for better understanding. They are not part of the map.)) [Serix enters at E5] Upon entering the archway, Serix's body peels away from itself and off to oblivon... for but a moment.
It reconstitutes at the center of a second room accompanied by a dizzying sensation of slowly (but perceptibly) spinning... and spinning... and spinning... and spinning. The flighty sky of the previous chamber is replaced by a sight that spins in tandem with... wait, no... the platform is spinning. Or is it the sky that's spinning? Out there in the darkness can be seen two seemingly identical images of this one platform until, that is, another figure appears upon one of the images just as suddenly as Serix herself had.
Down on the ground, visible closer than the constantly moving horizon, 8 pillars stand in a silent circle around the fire navi, markless but for some single square on the backside of each which cannot be read from this angle. Beyond them and running along the edge of the entire room are more teleportation pads.
In front of the navi, a single plaque stands with its marbled surface incribed with words...

This seemed to require more thinking than Serix would normally use, given her frustration with puzzles. However, she would not let this "thing" beat her so easily.
"Think...8 cardinal points on a compass. 8 pillars."
She then took a look around her, to see if any of the pillars were moving.

Serix's decides to do a little test, so she moves ahead three spaces, to the pillar behind the plaque. she checked the pillar, finding a square. before checking it, she burned a tick mark onto the pillar, above the square.

Syn blinked as he reappeared into the room, looking around slowly. He noted the appearance of another Navi, as well as the 8 pillars which stood, a bit puzzled on what they could represent. At the very least, it would be simple to take them as directions, as each was posted in their respective zones. He moved to the right, trying to inspect the pillar.

As Serix enters the pillar's space, it begins to turn toward the center of the room and reveal its designation (SW)... but when she attempts to burn it, the entirety of the horizon explodes in cacophonous laughter:

Serix auras the damage. Then, her flames turn a cool blue color as she dashes from pillar to pillar, checking the square on each before moving on to the next. Flames of the Pheonix: Generates a 100HP aura around serix, heals Serix for 90HP when destroyed. 2 use. (used 1 time)
Afterburn: +1 attack slot on the turn used. (x4 uses) (used 3 times)

Watching the other Navi dart around, Syn could only raise an eyebrow, walking towards the single remaining pillar that had been left unchecked. If nothing else, the Navi seemed to be of the hasty sort. Though, in this case, that didn't seem quite so bad.

Serix took a moment to note that only two of the points on this broken compass matched up. NW and SW. She burned a bright blue, if only for the time it took to move two spaces forward, and two more to the right.

Syn wasn't entirely sure what all the pillars meant, especially given the out of order placements that they were in, direction wise. It appeared to be a little more than a mix and match; though some seemed t be okay given the directions, as a whole it was skewered. But the other Navi didn't seem hampered by such things. Syn paused for a second, considering, before shrugging and following after.

The strike rattles his very existence, frowning as it sears and burns. Well then... It seemed like the other Navi, despite what she showed off, wasn't exactly aware of what was going on either. The Reaper sighed, glancing around to see anything about this 'compass' that made sense. It all seemed rather jumbled... Until he made a small realization. In a technical sense, some of them weren't. While some matched their opposite, a few sets actually managed to be true to a real compass, did they not? North, Northeast, and East. Northeast, East, and Southeast. North, Northwest, West. Were these the key? But how would you use a broken compass, where there were certain directions that were true? Though, only northeast and northwest upheld the compass; being genuinely situated between north and east, then north and west, right? But northwest had proven wrong. So then... Perhaps it was no the one that was situated correctly persay, but... Syn frowned, wary, before shrugging, and giving it a try. Either way, here went nothing.

Compared to the shock she felt when she realized that she was wrong, the attack was next to nothing. Merely a minor annoyance. No matter how many times she ran it through her head, those two points were always separated by only one other point. Eventually, she came out of her stupor, and did something curious. She called out to the mysterious voice. "Hey! You said some points were right, didn't you? think you could go into a little more detail?!"
