Opera is a little leery of anyone offering a handshake. She puts up a buffer with her hacking to absorb a bit of damage, but the Navi speeds off before she can do anything. Oh well. She follows Embera, because being in the same room as the strongest Navi here has advantages.
Stats:
Data Potion S-Attack Normal Element Honestly, this can only be considered an attack for mechanical reasons. It’s actually the opposite of a weapon, healing Opera when used. 0 Damage, heals Opera by 150 HP if it hits Used twice
(OOC: Since only regeneration is specified as being turned off, I assume I'm still allowed to use this attack for healing.)
Opera HP: 2700/2400
Opera spends two attack slots to go to A5, through the teleporter.

((You may indeed do that, TTD. Also, to those still confused about the mechanics of moving diagonally, look at rule 4 again. Also, Paruga, you aren't literally immobile if you don't have attack slots, but you can't go as far as the next Space.)) After making her circle, as Embera attempts to step into the portal, it jettisons her back to the opposite corner of the platform: The numbers overhead blink emphatically: "9/23"
[Syn exits at C5]
The counter along the archway updates as soon as the entrant is disappeared:"9/23"
Similar to Embera, as Aluminum attempts to speed into the Southeast portal, he too is rejected and propelled across the room perpendicular to the female navi and dangerously close to the edge... the mockery in the chuckling grows. The numbers over the Southeast portal also blink: "15/23"
[Opera has the option to stay, as she was following Embera. Also, A5 is the abyss but your intent was clear: You stand at unless you choose to enter anyway (Your next post can be in Floor 2 SouthWest or here)]
The abyss speaks once again, this time with humor still touching its voice.
????: "One is left no course, another attempts the only option closed them, and a third believes they can hold the coattails of the capable. The factor of humor rises yet!
But in the interest of time and not watching the inane struggles of the incompetent, however, there will be granted one hint per floor until such a time as it is deemed prudent to deliver another. All three of the other floors have been granted their hints, and so you are too late to hear the next hint regardless of which exit you choose.
You shall now be gifted with a reading:"

*Embera hit the floor and skidded to the edge and over, holding onto the ledge before lifting herself back up to her feet. Before she could sigh with relief however, she saw Aluminum get shot nearly into the abyss, she acted swiftly...[/glow]
(Embera expends 2/13 AS to move 2 squares West) [glow=white,2,500] *Extending her hand out to catch onto Aluminum, she pulled him steady so as not to let him fall into the pit behind him. Now a little more relaxed, she heard the voice spewing insults, before issuing its little reading. She smiled lightly as its little "factoid" of sorts hit her ears, reminding her of her own self.*
Embera: I've known this a long time, what power can do. Indeed it is lonely, but one must learn to not let power be their method of selection!
*As Embera said such, she gripped Aluminum's hand, remembering the trustworthiness and devotion that he stood for. She shook her head and laughed a little*
Embera: Why don't we be partners? Someone to look out for the other sounds like a nice plan to me. Let's head down there.
*Embera's arm extended to the other end of the hallway and began walking, before signalling Aluminum to tag along.*[/glow]
(Embera expends 3/11 attack slots to go through the southeast exit.)

Opera nearly goes into a panic at the voice, for a slightly odd reason.
Opera: Oh censored, it has a sense of humour! We are so screwed...
Opera makes sure to minimize the screwage by building up a larger buffer. She notices that Embera and Aluminum are likely going to go through the same exit, with a number that is likely to exceed the listed cap. She waits to see what will happen, while continuing to overheal herself in case something painful happens.

(OOC: Opera's a null avoider, so she gets a higher HP peak last I checked. Although that isn't currently mentioned in the guide, the questions board says that it still applies.)

Again Embera's attempted entry is rebuked and she is repulsed to the opposite corner; again the numbers above the doorway flash insistently: "15/23"
The voice's chuckles turn to a condescending thunder of laughter both from the redoubled effort at entry and at Embera's comment.[/i] ????: "Should one truly wish to not allow power be their method of selection, this one must be many and thus must be compounding upon the indications of Opera regarding humor and success: Your probability of besting this encounter are rapidly deteriorating... in conjectural banter, of course. Opera notes that another hint was offered in the confusing diction of what she assumes to be her captor. She makes the decision to not make a decision, simply continuing to build her buffer.

*Embera shrugged carelessly at the voice issuing her options. She merely looked out into space and spoke for the voice to hear.
Embera: Do as you wish, leave me be, or give me a hint. I've no problem pacing in circles for an eternity. Since I'm primarily at your whim, I'll let you dictate the outcome, I'm far too impatient to play games or solve puzzles, sorry to disappoint.[/glow]

Silence meets the challenge. And then more chuckling.
????: Embera, Opera, and Aluminum would not yet remember how they came to be in this place, but they should know that it was by their own choice, and they cannot leave. Not without the consent of the controller. You are at its whim, but it will not dictate the outcome - not as yet. That is left to the players, and should they not wish to play, they shall remain in the controller's debt for as long as they remain... which is to say, if one does not play, they do not redeem themselves their freedom. Truly if Embera is as impatient as claimed, she would not be standing at the edge of a platform pouting in response to a puzzle, and so a second hint is in order to reward the lie:
There are 4 exits from this room. One of you may take one, a second may take three, and a third may take four.

Opera hears the voice. It appears to be in third person, and if you believe she's capable of breaking the fourth wall, she notes that the voice appears to be doing so as well. She lets that be regardless, as it was just as subtle as anything she would say in that regard. She then hears the hint, and responds with her first useful contribution.
Opera: Thank you for confirming the fourth exit to this room-analogue. I had already suspected that the teleporters were not the only way forward. I was worried I'd look like an idiot in a bit.
Opera continues building her buffer, which is nearly at maximum.

((Hm hm hm))
Only silence meets Opera's thanks. Silence, and then more chuckling. Again. Because I typed out the line again, independent of the previous turn.
((EDIT: And then the voice of me comes down to intercede in a misinterpretation? Mystery voice was referring to the navis as players intentionally, not trying to break the wall. ))

Opera notes the chuckling. She finishes her full buffer, and then says her farewells.
Opera: So... even though I'm probably the one who can take whichever exit they want, I think I'll take the path less traveled, and that will make all the difference.
Opera then does a backflip off the platform, and into the abyss.

Opera HP: 4800/2400
Opera then uses an attack slot to move to B1, or, if you decide to allow her to ignore gravity as she can from an in-character standpoint, uses two attack slots to move to the B on the grid.
