[bgcolor=570041] “I absolutely, positively hate vegetables!” [/font] _______________________________[/right] “Nu-chan!” that annoying voice piped again, “Make sure everyone is okay!”
Nu absolutely hated that voice! She thought the young maiden using the P.E.T. communication would pipe down for the duration, but of course, it was too much to ask for silence. Rolling her eyes, the small demeanor of the bug girl had looked about amongst the ripping vines. Her own touch like that of Death as one simple press of a digit would make any of the plants decay and erode away like ash as she absorbed them into her body’s nutrients. She kicked what was left aside, scattering it into the breeze to see beyond the little plants.
Her body was small after all.
Nu could make out the obvious construction workers, the volunteers, and even a stray NetNavi or two. She had sighed in an utter bother as she could make out the civilians within the area. She did not come to play hero; Nu came to eat! Could she have a nice and private dinner without some whiney little brat giving her orders and some yelling, screaming town folks that were running all over the construction site? Nu had complied to their cowers and screams with lashing arms that became almost completely liquid, stretching to inhumane lengths that shamed rubber bands. A sling of the small figures arms sent them flying towards the nearest exits, away from the construction site, and some even being emergency logged out because of their injuries from one swipe of her massive arms.
Hey, it was either that or they get killed by a bunch of vines!
Either way, they just had to get a-way from here and out of Nu’s site. The vines growth was reduced to almost nothing with her presence in the area. The only thing that was left was the fleeting form of Riclice and Trance. Looking at him and Trance, Nu’s lips pursed and then pushed outward in a pouty manner; clearly not happy to see...well...she did not even know who they were! She just knew that they were civilians and they were in her way!
With one spin of her body and her elongated arms like tentacles, Nu had aimed to sweep them off their feet and send them flying to the nearest exit, or at least damage them to the point that they would log out and leave her be.

When the two other being had entered the area ( with Riclice unsure as to whether one was a virus or not),Riclice was sure that they were both were there to devour himself and Trance.
But now one was spinning around with its arms out-stretched,like some sort of carnival ride!
Regardless of what the two others were planning,Riclice was NOT about to let the gel-like one throw his new friend and ally,Trance, out of the area like that. Not like he'd permit himself to be smacked either.
Skidding to a stop,Riclice then dashed toward Trance, keeping himself aware of the oncoming arms that were flailing about.
"Barrier!" was all Riclice exclaimed,as a forcefield of energy surrounded him, expanding outwards as another layer became visible.
In a moment,Riclice grabbed Trance by his right-arm, one of the blob-like navi's arms smashed against his Barrier's first layer - destroying it,and Riclice ran off toward the exit, ascending the stairs shortly thereafter.
'I don't know what that one's here for....but it seems it wants us outta here.' Riclice thought to himself,as he did his best to retrace their steps and get outta there.
His barrier's inner layer flickered as if reminding him that it were still there. Perhaps it was best to still have his guard up,especially since they weren't out of the area just yet.
"Okay, let's see...to get back outside..." he pondered aloud as he came to a hallway. It would've been best if Trance were doing the escaping and leading them outta here, but for now he'd be doing his best to get them both outta there.

[bgcolor=570041] “I absolutely, positively hate vegetables!” [/font] _______________________________[/right] “Nu-chan!” Rosetta’s voice called out in disarray, “Could you have been just a ‘little’ more gentle?”
Emphasis on little? Attitude on ‘not giving a care!’ Nu was hating this way of doing things that Rosetta was trying to push upon her. Sure, she said to make sure everyone was out of danger, but she said nothing about not using her own powerful limbs and stretch them to unknown lengths in order to sling and slang NetNavis to and fro from the area where the tenacious plants were grown from. It was almost making Nu regret this team up had it not been the action and interesting hunt for NetNavis and viruses she could absorb.
Speaking of which, that green stuff was still growing.
Nu had not the interest to keep dealing with a coward who hid in the shadows and attacked, nor was he making any other significant moves at this point. If anything, she was pretty sure the ONB would come in at any moment and deal with the hack, and plus Rosetta’s whining voice was getting upon her nerves. She had leapt back as her large body made an impact upon the construction grounds; the terrain splitting with lines as if her body could’ve made a large scale crater.
“We should retreat for now!”
A plan that Nu agreed with, but not for all the right reasons. Either way, she had shown a simple nod of her head and a twist of her lips as Nu had quickly leapt back once or twice, avoiding the lashing of the vines as she was actually trying to get a little distance. She was narrowly scratched by one because of how hefty and heavy her body was; not allowing any to no speed as she had simply took some blows and recovered in mere milliseconds.
Nu’s body begun to bubble and boil as her feet turned to mush. Her whole body begun to melt and collapse into the pool at her ankles before finally she melted away into a puddle, sunk into the ground of the network and begun to pass through its layers and she slipped herself through the voids of cyber space traveling from one area to the next; unaware she left a slight influence on the area.

As the individuals made their way away from the impending confrontation, Trance failed to notice the small spores that had laced the razor edged leaves. Almost completely transparent with the exception of a deep purple glimmer given the right angle of light the spores were programmed to burrow towards a living host. They began to slip through the weave of his clothing and very quickly penetrated the pores of his skin, embedding themselves in his programming and beginning the infection process.
Breaking out in rashes that looked more like slowly fluctuating bruises the spores seemed to render Trace incapable of mental thought, freezing his mind as effectively as an anesthetic for muscles. One moment he was facing a dire showdown in enemy territory and the next moment he was running haphazardly through the convoluted halls of Pride Castle.
As his mental acuity slowly returned, he began tracking Riclices random movement and applying them to an internal map he had memorized while viewing blueprints. Clicking in to their location after seeing one or two notable features, Trance pulled slightly ahead of Riclice and with a final 2-3 turns they burst through into the open work yard.
Breathing heavily from their escape Trance spoke between breaths, "Thanks for that, something weird happened back there....". Through squinting eyes, Trance stared up at the strangely calm afternoon sun as his face became lined with pain. The minute cuts seemed to ignite with an inner fire and his entire body felt like it was being worked at max capacity even after he had stopped running. "I swear I didn't know anything about that! I've gone there dozens of times and have never been bothered much less ambushed!" The bruising seemed to become more active as it began to erratically fluctuate up along his neck and down his arms. Never changing in surface area, but seeking the boundaries of its host, the infection seemed intent on mapping Trances body.
Internally Trances mind was racing, panicked and incapable of conjuring any semblance of calm. It was a miracle his heavy breathing had managed to cover the wavering in his voice. Each solid thought seemed to slip from his grasp, warp and mutate before being washed away by the unstoppable, paralyzing rush of thoughts. What was this?! Some small part of Trance knew that this wasn't right. Some small fragment of consciousness knew that his carefully cultivated calm and immaculately sculpted mental discipline should be able to rationalize this situation in an instant. Yet something had shattered it beyond recovery and he could not find the perfect equilibrium that he kept as a protective wrapping around himself, a stalwart buffer between him and the distracting emotions of life.

A beam of multicoloured light fell from the sky, followed by a crash upon impact. The partially repaired castle looked like the perfect place for a king to make his home. It was, in a way, imperfect, and yet that fit the heir to the throne perfectly. There stood only one issue: Knightman and his army of Joes. But that would come in time. A message to those in the area: The King has entered the network.

Riclice was truly relieved once they emerged from the labyrinth of twists and turns. He hadn't been the one leading the way,so the way out was a bit beyond his knowledge.
Riclice looked up and smiled, glad that the ordeal regarding the two entities was over,as well as their 'escape',if one would call it that.
As Trance thanked him for getting them both away from the situation back in the courtyard area,Riclice nodded in return.
"No problem at all,I try to help my friends whenever I ca-"
Riclice stopped mid-sentence as he finally took note of his friend's facial expression. He wasn't feeling good at all. No,it was much more than just 'not feeling good',Trrance truly appeared sickly.
'When exactly did this happen...?' Riclice pondered, eyes focused on the splotches on his body...that almost seemed like a deadly reaction to...something like a...weed?
"...poison ivy of some sort...?" Riclice spoke aloud. "Ugh...you wouldn't happen to know someone that can heal this kind of break-out would you?"
Riclice regretted not having the ability to remove forms of illness (and poison) from a navi's body. Surely it'd be helpful in such an instance.
"Anyway,we've gotta find someone that can help cure this before it gets potentially worse..." Riclice said, prior to a crash within the area.
'And hopefully that crash doesn't mean even more trouble has arrived...'

Eyes focusing with a sudden intensity the words 'poison ivy' seemed to break through the chaos in his mind for a moment sending an avalanche of thoughts flashing by faster and faster until they reached a nauseating blur. 'Poison ivy....vines...urushiol.dematitus.boils.tripleleaves.leaves.falling.razoredgedallergyanaphylaxisrashpoisoninfectioncurefountainanti-venomsoriginevelopmentsamplecaptureescapebreakawaybreakout. Break out? I'm missing time.' With the sudden knowledge that this was no simple allergic reaction Trance became hyper aware of the necessity of finding a cure faster rather than later. Then the stream of semi-logical thought was brushed aside by a sudden burst of choking adrenaline that was sent coursing through his body. Muscles coiled in anticipation of fight or flight, Trance could feel the cuts expand with his flexing all across his body. Serving only to speed the rate of infection, the spores were highly efficient with their jobs.
The splotches were spreading faster now and Trance was barely able to keep it contained within him now. Each limb felt over-taxed and rigid like steel girders but he was trapped in his own body, a prisoner of his own mental fortitude.
Each pulse of adrenaline forced his system to circulate faster and it was obvious from the feverish heat flushing his body that whatever this was, it had the upper hand. It was then that the crash landing heralded the glorious arrival of the supposed 'King'.
Waving his hand to dismiss Riclice's overt worries he managed to choke out between breaths and adrenaline pulses, "I'll be ok, just need to grab a seat. I'll grab some water and be fine." Wearily moving over to a nearby work table with water and camp chairs surrounding it he managed to struggle with the water cooler enough to get a cup of water. Gulping it like a marathon running he began to take a seat as he asked Riclice, "King? Waddyathin-" His words slurred near the end and halfway through sitting his vision flickered black. Crashing the rest of the way, Trance toppled the chair and himself onto the cobblestone courtyard.
Strangely enough, as he lay there the dark bruising all but faded from his skin. Like drift wood being bleached by the sunlight and purified by the punishing seas, Trance's shuddering hands stilled and his blotchy rash faded completely, leaving only the slumbering figure of a navi in the prime of his health. Coughing on his side while unconscious, he finally managed to spit out a simple dark purple leaf with angry red veins running violently through its center.

As the infection seemed to be getting even worse,Riclice racked his brain for a solution. He had absolutely no experience in cleansing someone of poison.
However,as Trance gestured to him that he was ok,Riclice calmed down a little bit...
Eyes following Trance as he went to get a drink of water, the blade-wielder was about to go assist him,but Trance managed to get the water himself...fighting with the cooler for a moment.
After Trance consumed the water and was about to ask him about some 'King' fellow,Riclice was about to dash over to him as soon as he began falling. But as far as he could tell, his friend would be Ok...and that was made even more evident as an unusual purple leaf was coughed up from Trance's body.
As he glared down at the small leaf,Riclice summoned a blade in-hand and slashed the corrupted piece of plant-life into 4 separate pieces.
Putting away his weapon,Riclice then heard an audible beep in his ears, reminding him of a received message that had yet to be opened.
Upon reading the message,Riclice then thought of what Trance was about to ask him. Unfortunately,Riclice knew nothing about this 'King'...except that he was now in the exact same area as them...

[bgcolor=darkred]With a bandwidth so twisted and massive from the presences coming and going, it was only a matter of time…
The area had grown unstable because of some stirring presences. Pools of sickly green and blue started as puddles and grew until they were like springs. Substances of red, blue, green, and yellow had even seem to rise in a continuous poor until these very pools had become coveted by the thick films of color. They sprung in places within Pride Castle’s unfinished halls.
From the walls, the carpeting, and even within the throne room; it seemed like the castle was bleeding out such vibrant colors that spilled unto the floor.
As the leaks sprung and the lakes of color grew; anything that they touched had become blanketed, and anything around that blanket had seem to show instability. The parts of the castle were becoming twisted wherever this texture seeped, and would blow into the air like the most flimsy shred of confetti. In time, it would become clear what this strange liquid was doing to the incomplete castle and network…
…ripping it apart bit-by-bit.

The viral king took notice to the strange pools of liquid that seemed to have sprung from nowhere. He took a moment to stick his hand in, seeing if it had any immediately dangerous results. If not, he would take a small amount of the liquid by forming a 'cup' of air around it, turning it into a floating sphere of ooze.

[bgcolor=darkred]Blue was the color that the viral king dipped his hand in…
The blue pool of liquid was among the other three varying colors: Red, Green, and Yellow. However, blue had been no less punishing and aggressive than the rest. Slowly, the borders of where the liquid spread had lifted and pelted away like thin sheets of paper. The Viral King’s hand would follow suit in the same fashion as the liquid had begun to have a corroding effect like acid; aiming to shred his very limb away like he reached it into a blender gone haywire.
It was only a matter of time before it would creep up his limb and attempt to eat away at the rest of his being.

"Interesting." The king felt pain, but little did he fear it. By pointing a finger at the caustic mess the masked man had risen a small orb of goo from the puddle, and kept it at a decent distance to his side. He felt another tinge of pain as the acid on his hand reached for his wrist, but merely bit his lower lip. He begin to walk in an aimless direction, which ended up being towards Trance and Riclice's location.

His breath began to even out, transitioning from a choking gasp to a perfectly regulated cycle of inhale and exhale. Eyes flickering open with quick blinks he registered the brilliance of the sun first, then the heat of cobblestones beneath his cheek. Flexing his hand he felt no pain, only the fresh coursing strength of muscles contracting in harmony with his desires. Sitting up comfortably, he felt no negative effects from his ordeal. The panic, dizziness, the bruising and igniting muscles, the the erratic adrenaline bursts were nothing but a rapidly fading memory. If anything he felt a little refreshed.
Taking note of the split leaf at his side, his eyes scanned it, committing the fragments to memory for later consideration before getting to his feet. Nodding down at the leaf, "Looks like my antivirus is up to date." Grinning coyly at Riclice he turned his attention to the complete artistic hell that was erupting from the castle. "The Kings work? If so he must be powerful..." Moving a greater distance away from the castle so that they wouldn't be caught up in the bleeding primary colors and the twisted warping that was sending layer upon layer of the newly renovated castle into confetti-like sheets. Not entirely sure if the confetti would have as caustic effect as the colors themselves, he had no interest in being caught up in it.
Stopping suddenly in his tracks, Trance motioned at the navi approaching the two through the streams of log-out beams transmitting the worker navi data and tools out of the unstable area. Taxing the bandwidth further, Trance was hyper aware of the navi approaching them with a brilliant blue hand and accompanying blue orb of this paint-like material. "What's our move? Our castle looks like a child abstract picture and we have this buddy looking like he just escaped from finger painting..."
With the instabilities in the network growing worse every passing second he had to move quickly! Logging into the reconstruction site he went to work immediately. Operating with the speed and efficiency of a master network administrator fighting hackers on multiple fronts, the white clad navi was sinking small stakes into the ground just outside the perimeter of the instability. Each stake was composed of the highest quality glitches, glitches that would not simply induce small operating errors but would create a ravaging infection that would propagate further glitching and the creation of junk data. With the aid of what appeared to be teleportation, the navi was capable of securing 21 stakes around the bleeding colors in half a minute. Seconds after the final stake was placed into the networks source code a carefully controlled eruption of Bug element energy ignited each stake, connecting them and giving the glitches a framework to follow to envelop the castle.
A veil of static rose up around the castle, excluding the others from its perimeter. Immediately the glitches began generating junk data as they spread, feeding raw data into the colors to slow its spread and attempting to create a dome encapsulating the castle and containing the spread of the bleed.
Deftly directing the ambient energy of the area through his body the silver tracery along his body glimmered as it set to work accumulating latent glitches in the area and purifying the corrupt energy within himself. Constantly streaming the stored glitches and feeding the purified energy into his static veil, this navi hoped to 'trap the castle in amber', solidifying the weakness in the connection while containing the spread. Hoping that containment would be effective, he had little interest in attempting to excise the instability, even with Vince's help, it was a process with massive ramifications.

As the white-clad navi burst onto the scene, attempting to put a halt to the cataclysm-like destruction that was occurring,it registered in Riclice's mind that there was an approaching threat coming right in their general direction.
'Fight-?' Riclice pondered. Even though they knew nothing about this navi,it was true that a confrontation may not be the best idea...especially with him toting around a sphere of the liquid that was just destroying the area....
Tactical retreat...?'
The thought seemed to be doing its best to make itself louder than the notion to fight. If they could, this seemed to be the better of the two options, but perhaps there were more than just two options...life itself isn't two-dimensional after-all...
"Well, the option to remove ourselves from here for a bit may be wise. The destruction seems to be possibly stopped, but at the same time..." Riclice paused, glancing at the approaching navi, with gooey orb of destruction in-tow. "...being near this guy may not be good for us."

[bgcolor=darkred]The infection’s spread had stopped, but not halted.
It seemed at the very least the palette of colors had seemed to focus on mutation and not outbreak. The color palette had begun to grow over time as a purple, orange, and very light blue hue of color had begun to burst from pools along with the other springs. Pretty soon, the castle’s interior was bathed in paths of the skewed colors that had bubble and grew, eating away at the data as it spread and melded with one another.
True to Riclice’s words, being near the Viral King would not be good for them.
The blue palette of goo, disturbed by the Viral King, had shifted like it had a mind of its own. The blue substance that was contained in an orb begun to stretch from a simple sphere, and struggled to be held in place like it was a beating heart. With each pulsation, it enlarged itself, soon becoming twice its normal size and the center containing a center with a darker spot in the center etched with lines like it was an eyeball.
???: “......”
The other palettes of colors had followed suit as they all gained a center nucleus, all of them floating in place over the respective puddles that created them. The springs of color erupted towards the nucleus as each eye had begun to become the center of a bulky, body that represented the silhouette of some woman. Faceless, they had no expression that shown malevolent intent, but with the blue gel creature forming its body and reaching it towards the Viral King’s wrist and eating away with it, it was clear it was nothing short of a mindless zombie out to eat data.
