[glow=white,2,500]*Embera couldn't contain herself anymore. Grabbing the front of his armor, Embera pinned Genesis to the wall, leering at him with rage, but even deeper....sadness.*
Embera: You just thought you could leave, like it didn't matter, and just come back when you were satisfied?? Is that what all this means to you?!
*Embera began thrashing him off the wall, shaking him in a distraught fury.*
Embera: 4 weeks...4 weeks of destruction...annihilation, and death, and you left us because of a scratch?! Why???
*It was clear that Genesis' absence was a deeper impact than it showed.*
Embera: We were allies! We fought together, I relied on you and you turned your back and left! You just up and abandoned everything!
*With her jaw and fists clenched, Embera took a deft swing at Genesis. Yet, for some reason, she couldn't punch him. As the hand went across his face, Embera looked at him and the hand print vanishing from where she slapped him.*[/glow]

*Genesis found himself pinned to the wall, Embera's strength showing as always. But there was more than rage behind it, something he hadn't expected to see from her too. It wasn't that she didn't feel sadness, no. It was never as visible as it was now. He didn't fight back now, being shaken by her as she spoke. It wasn't until she stopped and slapped him, his head moving some with it, that he looked back to her, looking her in the eyes.*
"...I know an apology wouldn't be acceptable right now. But I haven't abandoned anything and you're still my ally, despite everything that happens around us or to us. This all means a lot to me, sometimes too much even. But I can't make up for the time lost or what happened while I was gone. I can help now though, even if it's unwanted."
*They had fought plenty of times together. Embera had sacrificed just as much if not more than those of their group that fought together. She had done so even to ensure his own safety and survival before in fact. He should have known it would have meant a lot for him to take a leave of absence like that. And he wasn't certain if he could make up for it, but he could try and make amends or do whatever he could from here on out now.*
"But I need to know where to start for that. What happened in the four weeks that I was gone?"

[glow=white,2,500]*Embera looked at Genesis less disdainfully, and more like he was his old self. She knew this was about as sincere as he could get. Her nerves were just about back to normal, until he had to ask what happened. Just then, everything coarsed through her head again, and she broke down crying. Embracing Genesis, she wept and whispered in his ear.*
Embera: ....he's gone...Genesis..the Armored Destroyer was deleted and hasn't resurfaced...I tried everything...And still..I couldn't save him...
*She stepped back and took a deep breath before talking to him yet again.*
Embera: Everything is breaking through my fingers, everyone is in danger, and they think that playing sleuth will help them out, I'm at my wits end and I know that it's not going to work, it came out of nowhere without warning, destroyed areas, vanished, and left no traces, everyone's in shambles, Creamland is being rebuilt, the ONB is holding elections, the net is crumbling...
*Embera kept babbling almost incoherently, unloading the full story in one sentence. Whether or not he was listening, she didn't care. This talking was keeping her sane, and not crying again.*
Embera:...and I haven't been able to do anything about what's been going on...I feel so worthless.[/glow]

*Looked like she had calmed down... or so he had thought. He was a bit surprised by the embrace, but the words that followed them caused his eyes to widen. The Armored Destroyer... had been defeated? Even more than... deleted? There was no way he wasn't captured by the ONB immediately after, but for it to happen was a shock enough. Sounded like it had gone and done even more damage after their fight fight with it... while not surprising, it wasn't good either. But it helped solve the not being up to date issue he was having really. Doing things alone never seemed to turn out well for any of them, so he could understand how Embera felt about failing at so many things and their present situation.*
"I believe a certain someone told me not to wallow in self-pity before. You're not worthless, Embera."
*She was good at moving forward, even when she was hurting. While she didn't linger on the pain, she still kept it in mind. But they did have to think on their next course of action. Obviously breaking him out of the ONB would be risky, probably tantamount to suicide. It was no wonder everyone was playing detective right now really... While he didn't mind the Armored Destroyer being captured, he didn't like how it was right now. That left only a few options, even fewer when one considered how little information about the Destroyer they truly had. Embera generally had an idea of what she wanted, even when things weren't looking very bright for any of them. Sometimes it was a front, other times it was actually true. He was willing to bet that at least this time, she had something in mind that she wasn't sure how to actually do right now.*
"Creamland being rebuilt is good. The elections might work, but who knows considering their recent track record. And what with the learning Titan missing, it at least gives us time to do something. We'll deal with it however we can when we can, but what do you want to take care of first?"

And then, she found it. There was a huge lab in the lowest basement of the place. Sadly, she didn't know how to contact Warrior, nor did she care to. So, what she did next was to try and find her way back to the main entrance. Problem was, after 30 minutes of searching, she was forced to give up. She was more lost than a kid in a castle, looking for a bathroom. In a last dtch effort, she screamed at the top of her lungs. "HEY!!!!!! ANYONE HERE?!!!!!!!!! I'M LOST!!!!!" Then, when all was said and done, she just broke down and cried, in wherever she was. Yun had no idea were she was without her sister, and really wanted to find her again.

[glow=white,2,500] *Embera's eyes avoided the question. She was fumbling around her words. How could she tell him? She was catching her breath, almost in a small panic, unsure how to continue. Finally, her will broke, and she had to let it out.*
Embera: Genesis...I've....I've decided...
*She looked away, remembering just how he acted towards Genesis, and knowing she might have to be the same way. With a feeling of sheer dejection, she finally opened up all the way.*
Embera:...I'm going to be taking up his mantle in his absence...I'm doing my best to find information on his mysterious mission...and I'm going to complete it. It's because of him that I am who I am today, and this is the least I feel I owe to him...[/glow]

*That explained why she was hesitant to answer him. To carry on the mission that the Armored Destroyer had been trying to finish this entire time. The unknown mission that he said everyone was in the way of. The thing that started the entire mess between the Destroyer and the Overlord now that would still continue even after now.*
"I see..."
*He probably did play a large part in that, but he didn't have any say on what she did about that. But if she really wanted to do something like that, she would have to find out about it. And very few actually had any knowledge about it, so it came down to finding people who actually did.*
"You need to find out what it is then. Whoever knows won't just easily be found, not by searching at random. If you know anyone with a position of power that is willing to help you out, then it should make it easier for you."
*He'd support her decision then, even if it was taking on his enemy's mission. He would need to either figure out a way to get the Destroyer out of their custody or to hope he got out regardless. Either way, the ONB getting to decide his fate wasn't acceptable to him.*

[glow=white,2,500]*Embera chuckled at his suggestion. She wasn't too good at making friends enough to help her out. Remembering Resonance, she nodded to Genesis.*
Embera: Yes. Shame there aren't too many of them out there. I gotta find a spot to begin, but I just don't know where. I've got a lead, but nowhere to find him. This is my top priority, and I can't let anything get in my way.[/glow]

After what seemed like hours, Yun finally found her way to the room near the entrance, where she had first started. Before she made it halfway through the room to the exit, she collapsed.

"Just think about it. I'm certain there's one or the other you just haven't considered yet."
*Friends he supposed weren't their strong suit. Though there were plenty of odds that the person she was looking for could be found easier if she looked to others for it. Given he didn't exactly know who that was, he couldn't give any specifics himself. Though they all had things they kept from one another, so it was nothing different than usual there. While she had a lead to catch, he would need to consider what he would do himself now as well. She would probably have better odds of getting help without him around, considering he was pretty well known now. If he wasn't, it would be rather helpful instead of him being disappointed about it.*

...but the hall that Yun had collapsed into was not at all the exit. After her traipsing was thought complete, the hall in which she has found herself opens into a grim courtyard, which in turn is ended abruptly by a gate of black steel, left slightly ajar. The scent of burnt data hangs disturbingly in the air.

After a long rest, Yun found herself somewhere strange. There were two paths for her to choose from. The one led her back into the labyrinth of the Dark Citadel, while the other led her somewhere new and strange. Having no intention of getting lost in that hall of mirrors again, she decided to take the new path, which led to Nebula knows where.
(OOC: Well, looks like at least one my navis will finally see some real action. Thanks be to Doug.)

The gate hinge screams in the agony of disuse as the navi approaches, and it edges open inches further. Beyond, endless suits of armor stand at arms on either side of a vast black hallway. Their axes serve as the only luminescence. Every sound echoes from the armors as the entrance falls further and further behind... and just as the din of the outside world disappears entirely, the hall abruptly ends. Four archways span outward, and above three of them are unlit torches, but above the fourth, blue flames flicker loosely against the keystone.

Yun had heard about things like this before. With certain dungeons in human games, there was always a way of knowing which paths were trapped, and which led to something elso, like another room. Since the only obvious difference was the torch, Yun took it from it's resting place, which was hard to get to, and traveled down the fourth path.

((Oh, and +25 EXP to Yun for starting this up.)) A staircase spiraling upward is revealed as the bluish light chases away the darkness. Away and away the way stretches, giving the entire upper Citadel an absurd feeling of utter enormity that could not have been told of from outside.
At the top, another room awaits, this flanked in utterly dark windows and ended by a single closed door. In the center of the room, an almost empty brasier is seated atop a small pillar, and in it is a single coal. As the flames wash over the room, writing is revealed:A raven's wing, Its end struck by dawn. Substance or its lack Cast by a candle. A presence Made in an absence. A dagger in the night, Better known as A knife in...
