There was a knowing look in the doctor's eyes. He brought his shoulders up into a half shrug, his arms accompanying the gesture. With a snap of his fingers and a raised eyebrow, he was gone. In his place however, a small, golden, glittering tetrahedron was in his place. Gold Mystery Data A mystery data very rarely found on the net. Contains a random amount of Exp, Zenny, or both. NPC Value: 10,000z. Can be sold to other players when unused. To use, simply type <Access GMD> in a role-play or battle post. A staff member will randomize and grant you one item.

Nothing happened at first. Seconds went by until a trio of beeps rang out from the data cluster. <ACCESS DENIED>

This time a pair of beeps came from the data. <ACCESS DENIED> After the message flashed, the data cluster's spin began to go in the opposite direction.

A long, loud, deafening beep was all that could be heard for the next minute. Analytical Results from the GMD revealed nothing. Absolutely nothing! Not even the presence of the GMD itself. <ACCESS DENIED> The data now spun not only counter clockwise, but on a vertical axis now.

No beeps this time. Just silence. The mystery data didn't respond at all. It even seemed to "turn off" and its spins on its axis ceased.

Landing into one of the many alleyways that make up the Hacker's N cityscape, the hole which led into creamland's network closed rapidly. Ruin crouched slightly as he made his landing, throwing Legion's body into a heap of nearby junk data. Standing up once again, though not quite towering in actual height. Hopping up on a would-be throne of broken data pieces, Ruin leaned into the wall of a nearby building, folding his legs over while he awaited Legion's regeneration, which seemed to be progressing at least somewhat. He was certainly tenacious that was for sure.
It seemed like a lot had happened in his time gone, The last thing he could remember was fighting in the Dark Colony with that upstart Xezzukhz trying to take his self proclaimed "Rightful" place as ruler, despite it obviously belonging to Xion and the Chaotic. It seemed as if that which was set in motion to create the dark colony did not go as he remembered. Strange indeed.
Even further strangeness was the overall feel of the net. It was different somehow... Wrong. It was hard to pinpoint it exactly. But Ruin could tell something was off. You spend enough time breaking the lines that tie networks together and jumping through the cracks, you start to notice when they change.
Still, There were sure to be some things that stayed the same. Thats what the Undernet was for. It was a long time ago, a previous life even, but Ruin knew of the great Darkloids that roamed the Undernet. Foolish perhaps to think they'd help, but they should have noticed what was wrong even. It was his best bet barring finding Xion or Loathe again... or that... Thing.
Wonder if that was still in him... hard to say.
Ruin's musings rambled on as he waited for his previous host to return, at least we could have something with that.

"The price of doing business, You got your power for a while after all. You seemed to have some fun with it too. You had a taste, you should know its anything but gentle."
Ruin didn't bother to look at Legion barring a glance, his head tilted back to rest on the building behind him, his eyes impossible to see past the mask, though his mouth showed signs of boredom almost.
"I figured I may as well bring you with me, unless you'd rather be left to be caught and imprisoned by the ONB. You made quite a commotion, I'm surprised we didn't see them."

"Guess you haven't met the people I have then, those dogs can sniff darkchips from a mile away I swear. What a pain. Least they don't come into the Undernet often."
That Iria was it? She was sure annoying. Wonder if she'd finally bitten the dust, that'd be good riddance. But Ruin tilted his head down toward Legion slightly at the mention of the doctors. He knew no doctors, even in their group. Maybe Slitherskin, he was creepy enough for it.
"What doctors?"

"No idea who those were... As for me..."
Ruin held his head in thought for a moment, unsure of how to respond. How he had ended up in that liquid form was a mystery indeed. One moment they were busy fighting Xezzukhz with the Chaotic, all of them were there even. Xion, Himself, Jax, Airman and co, Slitherskin. Plus the other mercenaries that Loath had hired and a few extras. The next moment though...? Lying mostly dormant in this navi's body. It reminded him so much of his first "birth", having found new life from another, and taking that life for his own. What a rush, nothing compared to it. Though he took a break from fond memories, he still had another waiting for his answer.
"No clue to be honest, something big happened I guess. I must have been swept up by whatever it was. Everything looks pretty normal though, so might have just been me and maybe a few others for some reason. Well... Aside from Creamland, that place is WAY different than I remember. Used to be really tacky with pumpkins and whatever. That Samhain guy had no taste, but it was a nice base that's for sure."
(Fwoosh, to net limbo)

Ah, the hustle-bustle of a big city; it's exciting, it's invigorating, it's hopeful, it's absolutely nothing like the Hacker's N. The sounds alone feel illegal in this city, and there's little that anyone even wants to do about it. The ONB itself couldn't crack this not-so-safe-haven, and that's the way that the residents love it.
....and one red-shaded punk Navi by the name of Tekla is one such resident. He blends in flawlessly as he strolls down the street minus his rare coloration, enjoying the sights and sounds of the trades that litter the streets both literally and figuratively. This was the kind of life that he loved, and the kind of life that he wouldn't trade.

Another navi in the Hacker's Net was too listening to the sounds of the streets. Silently moving along the shadows the cloaked figure moved, noting movements, actions and sounds of various passerby. He came to a halt on a corner of a rather large crossway, that led to multiple streets and alleyways. He crossed the street, ignoring the general filth in his path, and made his way to an entry way of a dark chip shop. He sat in one of the benches, just watching the surroundings with mild interest.
This particular navi took a breath through his nose, the scent of wrath, gluttony, lust, envy, greed and pride in the air around him. He seemed to almost enjoy it. He watched and waited. Would something interesting happen nearby that he could use to farther his plan? Would there be a spectacle worth watching? He didn't know. But he was here, searching for something.

Walking into the chip shop shortly after this navi, another one entered. Clad in his form fitting pitch armor and metal half mask covering his eyes. His hand slammed down on the counter of the shop, the other grabbing the navi behind the counter and pulling him close, as the two exchanged words, the held visibly shaken. A few words were exchanged, before the shopkeeper was thrown back into a display, darkchips scattering to the ground as the navi scrambled to clean up his product and slotting in one of them, his wounds closing up rather quickly.
With nothing to show for his time, the navi sat down rather forcefully next to the other, arms crossed and eyes closed. Likely thinking on his next move. A few words escaped him as he mumbled to himself.
"Just what happened... One minute we're fighting a giant horned monstrosity and the next Creamland has its space back? What world is this even?"

The cloaked navi paid little mind to the iron clad navi as he entered the shop. Hidden beneath his cloak, he gave a small smile, feeling the fear of the shopkeeper, and the anger of the iron navi. He did not move however, even as the shopkeeper made a large noise as he was tossed against a display. He just lived the moment, almost like he was enjoying the feelings he could sense. He scented to the shopkeeper's pain, and wounds, both physical and mental. As the iron clad navi sat down next to him, the cloak navi shifted to one side, giving him room.
"..."
"Just what happened... One minute we're fighting a giant horned monstrosity and the next Creamland has its space back? What world is this even?"
There was a sound of metal clinking as the purple chains on the cloaked navi's large black cloak shifted, as he placed one leg over the other. He tilted his head ever so slightly, only visible by the fact that the cloak was no longer perfectly straight, but the left side had two small crinkles by the base of the hood.
"... A World of Endless Possibilities."
His voice was of a young adult male. It wasn't very deep, but it was by no means of high pitch. His voice, although soft, had the sound of... Experience and wisdom. He spoke quietly, just loud enough that the fellow occupying the seat next to him could hear, if he chose to.
The navi said nothing else for a time, still listening at the sounds of both the shopkeeper, who was finishing cleaning up glass from his broken display, to the noises that he was still mildly interested all around him.

Arcing his head up as if looking skyward, though it was rather toward the ceiling in this case, the armored navi shook his head with disdain.
"More like infinite disappointment. One of the few times I get to go all out and its just snatched away from me like that? Talk about unfair. Xion, Airman and the others are nowhere to be found either, its just boring without them around really."
The navi's legs folded over as well, growing more comfortable in his seat while he mused unsuccessfully.

The cloaked figure gave a tiny, barely noticeable nod. Remaining quiet for a moment, he gave little intention of his thoughts. He heard a scream from outside, and watched as a female navi ran past, followed by an amused dark navi chasing her down.
"Fear... Excitement..."
More emotions wafted. He felt them. And somewhere... Somewhere, he felt them resonate. After the screaming died down, he spoke quietly.
"Existence can be unfair, but I feel your pain. It... Has been quite a while since I have enjoyed that rush myself."
He was silent again. For a time, he just sat, almost like stone. He couldn't help but sense the shopkeeper's uneasiness from behind. It wafted in the room. Another emotion.
"Xion... Airman... Part of a... What is it called here? I am not familiar with this... area."
He continued to sit quietly, calculating and deciding on what else to say, if anything. He had to admit, it had been quite a long time since he had spoken this much with anyone he wasn't toying with, or killing.
