Type: Single Judge (no one yet) Posts: 1 intro. 5 battle. Story Version: Off Version Bonus: Off Version Match: Highest version Setting: Kosoku has issued an open challenge...again. Instead of being an open call to everyone like last time, the battle is just a one-on-one brawl. Kosoku has chosen the top of one of the skyscrappers in the Electopian server to fight, and gave the time as "high noon."

OOC: Sure, sounds good to me. I guess we'll roll to see who posts first (unless you just want to post first. I really don't care either way).
Rik is V10, right? We'll set the version match to his.

You have won first strike, but I'll probably edit in my intro here later just cuz I can and all >.>
EDIT
It was a rather quiet day in Element city, at least where the lone navi stood. The usual hubbub of the city and its citizens and visiters took place down on the roadways that ledl to the various buildings and shops of the town. But high up on the rooftop of the many skyscrapers that held within many different offices of a cyber space based company, there was nothing but the light breeze that blew past the navi, tossing a small bit of his teal colored hair down into his face. It had just turned 11:58am local network time. Rikaru had agreed to come and duel a navi he had never heard before, though that wasn't saying much, considering how secluded he had been living since the death of his old op. 'what was his name again...?' Rikaru found him self thinking. ' Kososhu or something wasn't it? ....no matter, as long as he isn't late...'. Rikaru took note of the time again, it just turning 11:59, he had less then a minute to go, to see if his opponent would be on time. While he waited he turned back to the scene of the busy streets below, wind still tussling his hair as it blew around him. This same wind kept toying with his scarf that aside from a few twists in the wind, laid flat against his back. The time was near....would this be a worthy foe? Or just another chump that he would have to out in their place...he pondered this question as the seconds ticked by...

The clock would strike 12:00, but nothing would happen. Only the sound of the gentle breeze would disrupt the tranquility of the rooftop. Even though one of the largest cities on the entire net bustled by below, the rooftop almost seemed like another world compared to the action on the streets. A whole minute would pass before the shadow's hidden secret would reveal himself.
On one of the rooftops nearby, a figure seemed to appear out of nowhere as it leaped high into the air. Even from where Rik stood, the sound of wind swirling to allow such a jump could be heard. The Navi landed on top of the roof door, landing perfectly with his arms crossed. His green armor accented his yellow scarf that blew wildly on it's own while the artificial sun glistened off of his visor. It was a landing fitting to such an egotistical Navi.
"Welcome challenger!" The Navi's voice was full of a friendly arrogance, although his confidence would push through much more. "You have now entered my territory: the area closest to the gods who sent me into this world. I have taken upon myself to teach the citizens of man's creation to understand what true perfection is. Yes, I know it must cloud your mind to comprehend why a being such as myself would do such a kind gesture, but fear not! I have come to sweep the fog of confusion away in a mighty gust! I have come to make you a better Navi! For I am Kosoku: the Tempest of the gods!"
Kosoku jumped down from the top of the door as he put himself into a generic fighting stance. He gave a confident smirk before motioning for Rik to strike first. "Come! I will allow you the glory of first move."
OOC: I know I won the die roll, but you can go first since you posted first (only to keep to 1 intro post and 5 battle posts).

Rikaru turned from the busy streets below, hearing the disruption of the wind as the navi made his leap, landing and then delivering...his...interesting monologue. Noting it was at least a minute past noon before he had mad his appearance, Rikaru crossed his arms in front of him and stared at the navi. " Your late." was all he would say. He shook his head slightly in disapproval, but seeing the navi was allowing him to make the first move, he figured what the hell.
~~~~~~~~BATTLE START~~~~~~~~~~~
Suddenly, the breeze through the air became powerful gusts, seeming to blow out from all directions, seemingly coming from Rikaru him self. His scarf whipped violently in the sudden winds, his eyes glowing a bright, yet some how dull brown. Then, just as suddenly as the winds picked up, there was complete silence...and he began.
Rikaru slammed a fist down into the ground, sending cracks spreading out in a spiderweb fashion, then suddenly from these cracks, sand started erupting forth, covering the entire rooftop, almost upto the short perimeter walls that surrounded the edge. Rikaru then raised his fist, and pointed to the sky, a slight rumbling could be felt as the sand shifted, two objects seemed to "grow" from the sand. The first, off to the side of both combatants, resembled an armored Spartan warrior, spear in hand, though this figure was made completely out of sand and seemed to be emitting a strange energy pulse, barely noticeable. The second was what looked to be a oblong glob of sand, roughly 8 feet long yet only about half a foot in width, this group of sand hovered next to Rikaru, who slowly put his hand into the sand, which suddenly fell away, revealing his weapon of choice in hand; roughly 7 and a half feet long, with a glistening head, shaped much like the Greek symbol of omega, though the entire outter surface was covered in a razor sharp edge.
" It begins...". Rikaru said quietly, springing into action, he whirled the spear around behind him as he dashed through the sand, not even inhibited slightly by the shifting surface. As he neared the navi infringe of him, he gripped the shaft of the spear with both hands as he skidded to a stop, spinning and slamming the head of the spear into kosoku's side. With out missing a beat he dashed up infringe of the navi and drove his fist into his chin, to knock him up into the air. As kosoku was airborne, the sand below him swirled, and suddenly a pire of glistening glass shot out and lanced into him. As the glass disintegrated back into sand and fell to the ground, Rikaru leapt into the air, as wind began swirling around his free hand, he swung it down, sending the orb like fist of wind at kosoku, striking his chest, driving him into the sand below. As Rikaru landed he slammed his spear into the ground, causing it to stand on its own, and sending a tidal wave of sand to go forth towards kosoku, slamming into him and burying his form in the overwhelming current of sand.
Rikaru continued to stand there, spear embedded in the sand beside him, his arms now crossed across his chest, he watched to see how this..."interesting" navi would manage from his attacks.
Kosoku would greet the assault with a confident grin. Rik was undoubtedly fast, but this was not a match between the tortoise and the hair. It was a match between a hare and a cheetah, and this king of the savanna wasn't going to sit by while its prey attacked. As Rik struck out with his spear, Kosoku dashed the same direction of the spear in hopes to narrowly avoid the first strike. However, the sand was more inhibiting than he had inspected, slowing his dodge by a considerable amount. The spear would find its mark, boosting Kosoku's acceleration into the pit of sand.
His body bounced from the attack's power as sand flew everywhere. Kosoku must have traveled at least 10 feet before he forced his body into a standing position once again. The grin that once inhabited his face was now replaced by a painful grimace as he tried his best to ignore the new crack in his armor. Rik was on the move again, and Kosoku had to be ready to counter.
Since dodging didn't work out so well for the speedy navi, it was time to go on the offensive. Kosoku took a deep breath as wind rushed into his mouth, drawing in as much air as he could. His chest visibly became larger as it filled with sand and air. This only took a few moments before he let out a massive burst of wind from his lungs. Sand flew up everywhere from the force of the wind, sending a shockwave rippling through the area right at Rik. Ranged attacks were not Kosoku's strong point, but the sand would prove to work in his favor this time.
...well, at least far as attacks go. Kosoku immediately began coughing violently from inhaling too much sand. It wasn't the smartest attack in the world, but Kosoku wasn't really the smartest navi either.
Rikaru had to stop his previous chain of attacks as kosoku decided to suddenly interrupt him with an attack of his own. How rude...the thought of ruining such a wonderfully planned combo...Rikaru was brought out of his strange thoughts, as suddenly Kosoku blasted wind back at him, with force rivaling his own capabilities, effectively stopping his forward motion, as sand was driving into his skin.
'tch fool...I'm at home with the sands and wind... Rikaru thought, his scarf whipping around his face, covering his eyes momentarily, he quickly rectified this as his arms started glowing with power, the wind gust from kosoku dieing out, but suddenly, at least around Rik, the winds started blowing fiercely once more. Two could play at this game he thought, channeling power into his arms and the winds surrounding him starting to pick up the sand around him, slowly causing his form to sink as less and less sand was under his feet.
Reaching his peak charge, he resided to release his stored energy into the sky, anyone watching might have been puzzled at first, as nothing happened at first. Then, a single crack of thunder, and the storm came...and vortex of wind came down and struck the roof of the building that had been unfortunate enough to be these twos battle field, sucking up sand as the tornado ripped across the roof towards Kosoku, adding to the fury it would deliver to who ever allowed themselves to get caught in its wake...
Between dry coughs and heavy breathing, Kosoku looked up at the sky as he watched Rik prepare his next attack. His mouth was dry, and he found himself trying to catch his breath more than keeping an eye on the sky. It wasn't long before a massive tornado of wind and sand would be formed, and it would take even less time before it was sent on a destructive path right at Kosoku. A little sand in his mouth was the least of his concerns for the time being.
Being the headstrong navi that he was, Kosoku met the attack head on with a confident flash of teeth. Rik wasn't the only one who specialized in wind manipulation, and Kosoku was set out to prove his control was superior to his opponent's. Extending his arms, Kosoku began spinning the same direction as the tornado. He looked more like a massive green top than a Navi as his body accelerated to match the tornado's speed. Instead of creating his own tornado, Kosoku's body would serve as a redirect for Rik's attack. Green and tan blurred together as the two spinning entities became one before Kosoku rebounded the attack. Slowing his own acceleration down to give him a bit of control, he threw (if you'd call it that) the tornado right back at Rik, slowing his body to a halt after a successful launch. The tornado of sand kept its same intensity as it went right back at Rik.
"I am the very source of Wind itself! No one can manipulate my creation better than I!"
Kosoku would barely be able to get his words out as his head began to spin. He stumbled around on the sand, trying to get a firm grasp of his surrounding again. It was yet another less-than-efficient maneuver, but Kosoku's methods tended to work out that way most of the time.
OOC: I know this might seem a little far fetched, so if I need to change it I can. I figured that since Kosoku doesn't exactly have many epic attacks that I'd just use Rik's XD
Ooc: lol. Wind manipulation is wind manipulation, seeing as story wise they are the same strength supposedly, that would be viable I'd think.
Rikaru stared at Kosoku as he somehow managed to reverse his own attack back towards him. He hadn't seen anyone crazy enough to even think of trying a stunt like that, yet here this guy went with it like it was no big deal staring a violent windy death in the face, and then schooling it in the process. He was somewhat impressed, but at the same time annoyed just the same. Who did he think he was messing with one if his strongest wind attacks?!
Rikaru stopped thinking and started acting as his own Tornado loomed over him, and continued his deadly rampage across the field towards him, eating away as his sand as it did so. Determined to not be shown up by this guy, he decided the best way to show his superior ability, he simply held out his hand against the oncoming twister, waiting and bracing for the impact that would come... And come it did. As the tornado slammed into his outstretched hand, the tornado instantly stopped its forward progress, the winds ripping at the clothing like armor Rikaru wore, his scarf mimicking Kosoku's, only there really is wind...and a heck of a lot of it. Slowly the massive vortex of sand and wind shrank in size, eventually returning to the sky above, leaving shards of glass scattered infront of Rik from the friction of the sand against its self.
As the wind died down, Rik was still standing there, at first looking no worse for wear, but if one took the time to really look, they could see the various cuts along his face and clothes, his scarf tattered, though still there. Taking a couple deep breaths he lowered his hand finally, gripping the shaft of his massive spear once more.
"I see...". Was all Rikaru would say before he charged once more at Kosoku, his spear head trailing on the ground behind him, sparks flying as the edge grinded against the bare metal of the roof, all sand removed from the area the Tornado had passed over, which happened to be the path to his target... Rikaru as he neared threw his spear into the air, causing a whistling in the wind as it flew up out of sight, he then leapt to the side wind and sand flowing suddenly from his hands, forming two mini cyclones as he charged again, from the side this time, two glistening blades of glass in each hand, he swung both at once, making a cross patern, letting go at the end of the swing letting each blade shatter against the floor. Then he leapt into the air, a whistling heard once more, as he flipped half way in midair, gripping his spear as it plummeted down to the ground, changing the trajectory, aiming straight for kosokus head...
Kosoku shook his head as his senses began to return to him. He didn't see the spear shoot into the air, but he would at least see Rikaru's next assault, which he greeted again with a sly smirk. There was no longer any sand in his immediate area thanks to the tornado, which meant that his speed would no longer be hindered. It was time to show Rik just how fast he really was.
Rikaru moved at an alarming rate as he came at Kosoku from the side, but the arrogant Navi didn't budge. He welcomed the attack, waiting for his opponent to get close enough before he would retaliate. The sun reflected off of the two class blades as both were brought down in an X pattern, passing through Kosoku with incredible ease. It was too easy, but what would be more troubling would be that Kosoku didn't react to the attack at all. It was as if the blades passed through nothing, but Rik would clearly see that there was some sort of figure in front of him.
Well, at least the image of a figure.
The real Kosoku was about 2 meters behind the double, rushing forward through bits of broken glass. With the power of a hurricane behind his fists, he delivered a massive right hook through his afterimage at Rik's face. His attack wouldn't quite be quick enough before Rikaru jumped into the air. Kosoku followed his movements as he finally saw the spear that Rik had launched. It was an unexpected attack that...uh...wasn't expected, so the unexpecting Kosoku was caught off guard. His eyes widened for a minute as he forced a natural reaction from his body.
The spear would cut through Kosoku's head like butter, similar to how the glass swords had behaved. Kosoku had disappeared once again, only this time he had teleported to the tornado's previous path. He didn't go on the offensive, but he did take a moment to give a forced smile at his narrow escape.
"A fine attack indeed, but it is not quick enough to match the speed of a Navi such as myself. It is time to show you the power that is only told in legends!"
Kosoku's left hand held his right as he began focusing on his next attack. Wind began to gather in his right hand as the air around Kosoku became more intense. The wind formed quickly in his hand, accelerating at unimaginable speeds in a circular motion. It was clear that Kosoku struggled to hold the concentrated ball of air, but his ability to contain his own attack didn't seem to matter. A force rivaling that of Rik's tornado was being generated from the ball of air that Kosoku now held. His scarf no longer seemed to flap in the wind, but was extended out straight from the sheer force of the wind. It was as if a tornado was being compressed into his hand as bits of nearby sand were pushed away. Finally, Kosoku was ready to attack.
His body seemed a bit sluggish at first as Kosoku forced his legs to push through the torrent of wind. However, as soon as he took his first step, Kosoku moved at an almost unreal speed right at Rikaru. His right hand was extended behind him, the wind from the ball helping to accelerate his body forward. As soon as he was close enough, Kosoku slung his arm around as he pushed the ball right at his opponent's gut.
"Rasengan!"
Rikaru landed hard, his spear embedded in the ground a good foot or so, thus it took a moment to pull his spear free, but that moment was all kosoku needed to begin preping his next attack. Turning, Rikaru watched and took a defensive stance as Kosoku charged the wind attack he held in hand. When kosoku charged though, Rikaru was definately not expecting the speed of which he came, the wind generated from the small orb was intense, surprising for the size of it, even with half the distance to go, his scarf was billowing wildly from the wind, and in another second, suddenly kosoku was upon him, driving the attack into his abdomen...
Kosoku could see the look in Rik's eyes, one of shock as the attack struck, but that look was almost instantly back to his normal gaze, as one could see something...strange was going on. The area struck by the attack, was completely blown out, leaving a gaping hole, but instead of data or digitized blood coming from the wound, sand seemed to pour out, and strewn about behind him. Rikaru muttered a curse under his breath, stumbling back a few paces, his abdomen seemed to fill in with sand, restoring his appearance,and closing the wound. But the drain of energy this had required was quite apparent. Gasping a couple times to try to catch his breath, he laid his cold gaze on Kosoku, gripping his spear tightly in one hand, still breathing heavy. "....some....legend..." Rikaru taunted, regardless of how painful it was to use that ability, he still felt this was a guy was more bark then bite for the most part...he just got sloppy and let him score a good hit. Steeling himself, he pointed his spear at Kosoku, and gripped it with his other hand now as well, simply staring for a moment before doing anything. Then suddenly he moved, charging forward at kosoku, but right as he neared the navi, he suddenly dropped his spear, plunging it into the ground and vaulting over Kosoku, well out of reach. At the apex of this jump, he swung his spear over his head, and did a full flip, swinging the spear out its full length, just enough to reach roughly Kosokus chest if it struck.
Kosoku panted as his attack reached its conclusion. It was a direct hit, and a satisfying one at that, but it wasn't strong enough to finish Rikaru. His opponent was much stronger than he had realized, which seemed to inspire Kosoku to fight harder. The attack had put a massive strain on his body, which made any kind of follow up near impossible for Kosoku. All he could do was stare straight at Rikaru's cold eyes. He watched Rik vault of him before his body was knocked forward. Falling face first into the ground, Kosoku's body slid close to the edge of the building where he had once stood. He stumbled to his feet, rubbing the back of his neck as he turned to face his opponent once again. His entire body was starting to become sore.
It was time for a change in strategy. Kosoku pumped himself up before running towards Rikaru once again. His speed was considerably slower than his last impressive burst, even though Kosoku prided himself in his agility. Unlike before, he kept his body close to the ground to allow for easy maneuvering while his entire being started to darken. His green armor and yellow scarf dimmed to a pitch black color, making Kosoku look more like a shadow than a Navi. He was aiming to run straight through Rikaru, although he wouldn't actually strike out at his opponent. Kosoku was using his Dark Matter Rush: an attack that turned his entire body into an untouchable weapon. His body would no longer be effected by physical touch, allowing him to be able to pass straight through Rikaru. As he would phase through his opponent, Kosoku's body would do internal harm to Rik's systems. He would damage Rikaru from the inside.
However, such an attack came at a price. Kosoku might have the ability to pass through objects, but he would be equally hurt if anything passed through him with any kind of force. It was a risk he was willing to take to get another hit in.
Ooc: let it me known I ment the back of his torso, I clarified it with omega, but didn't mod my post cuz I am lazy <.<
Rikaru landed after his strike successfully struck his target, kneeling as he spun around to face, and watch Kosoku get up from where he lay. He almost cracked a slight grin once kosoku started his charge back at him, noticing his speed had slowed considerably, though when his body shifted, he decided it would be best to make sure he was out of the way of the charging navi. He wanted to make sure he waited as long as he could before avoiding Kosoku, left he try to alter his course and him him anyway. Though as it turned out, when Rikaru did finally dash to the side, he misjudged the speed of the navi, and had his left leg clipped by the shadowy form as he dashed to the right. Gasping due to the sudden surge of pain that lanced through his leg, he stopped and kept most of his weight on his right, waiting for the needles feeling to slowly disperse.
Eyeing his opponent, he tried to think of the best way to go about finishing off his this fight, he knew it would cone down to the next move or two, and he didn't want to come out on the losing end. Finally he decided keeping his distance on this strike. He once again began charging energy into his hands, though this time he slowly laid his palms face down on the ground, and sent a pulse through it, doing nothing at first, but suddenly the ground under Kosoku turned to sand, then started swirling in a vortex, much like a whirlpool. Hoping this would keep his attention of himself for a moment, he hefted his spear once more, holding it in one hand much like a oversized javilin. Leaning back first, and taking a deep breath, with a grunt he took a large step forward as he hurled his spear at Kosoku as hard as he could, stumbling as he put weight on his injured leg. Regaining his balance quickly he started gathering what sand there was around him, flowing up into his hands and glowing as he waited to see what would become of Kosoku...
Color returned to Kosoku's body as he adjusted his stance to face Rikaru. It was getting close to the end of the battle, and he knew that the next attack would determine who would come out on top. He had to push himself just a little more to finish out this match.
"You have fought well, stranger, and I admire your abilities. But only one of us can come out of this match victorious, and as sure as the sun beats down upon our powerful shoulders, it will be I that succeeds!"
As if jinxing himself, the ground below Kosoku gave way and turned back into sand. It swirled itself, each grain of sand wrapping around Kosoku's feet as it pulled him down. Kosoku struggled to free his legs, but he would be unable to free himself from the vortex's hold. He could do no more than look up at Rik as he prepared to throw his spear at the defenseless Combatant of the Wind. Kosoku continued to struggle, but it only seemed to drive his legs further into the abyss of sand. He closed his eyes, ready to give up hope.
No! It shall not end like this!
Confidence suddenly returned to Kosoku as his eyes shot open. Rikaru had already hurled the spear which approached Kosoku at an incredible speed. He might not have been able to pull his legs from the sand, but he had one more trick up his sleeve that could save him. As quickly as he could, Kosoku punched right into the pile of swirling sand, causing it to explode outward in a massive gust of wind. Both Kosoku and the spear disappeared in the cloud of sand, hiding the outcome of Rik's attack. Had Kosoku made it out in time, or would the dust reveal a different picture?
[OOC: What happens next depends on if I somehow win]
Seconds later, Kosoku jumped through the smoke of sand, rushing straight towards Rikaru once again. A cyclone of wind circled around his right arm as he held it out to his side. It was less powerful than his Rasengan had been, but it would be enough to knock Rikaru right off the roof if he succeeded. He had used the natural force of the circling wind to clear the sand away from his feet, allowing him to use his God's Illusion at the last second to escape the spear. Kosoku gritted his teeth together as he increased his speed as much as he could before disappearing and reappearing twice in a zig zag fashion. Afterimages of himself were left behind at each teleporation before Kosoku's real body appeared to Rikaru's left. He gave his final punch everything he had, aiming at Rikaru's side with an attack that was sure to push him off the building if it succeeded.
"UNBEATABLE PUNCH!"
