OOC: I REFUSE TO HAVE UFA JUDGE THIS THREAD! Sounds good.
"Who would fight the mighty Kosoku!?"
A figure stood on top of one of the stop lights in a rather busy intersection of an Electopian server. He balanced perfectly with arms crossed on one foot as he looked around at some of the Navis that had looked up at him. The silver edges of his green armor glistened from the high artificial sun as his long yellow scarf flailed in a nonexistent wind. An arrogant confidence was visible in his smirk, and his visor's shine was almost that of a second sun. It was needless to say that he was more of an annoyance than an interesting marvel in the city-like server.
"From the dawn of time, Man has yet to see the radiance of true perfection, the skill of a true master, or the beauty of a true being. Long has he searched for one such as I, but now his search may be over. I, the indomitable Kosoku have come to fulfill that role that every human being desires: the performance of a true fighting legend! Come and fight to see a wonder that none have ever seen or will ever see again!"
Kosoku's words were big, but the truth was his luck had been rather lousy lately. He had already fought several opponents, but had failed to overcome all but one of them. This open challenge was more of a chance for him to get to boost his ego in a fight rather than looking for a private one-on-one match somewhere. If he had people watching and admiring him from a distance, then it wouldn't matter if he won or lost. Kosoku had no intention of losing, however.
He would continue looking and bragging until someone accepted his challenge.

Pressing through the crowd of people to see what was causing all the commotion, Knight noticed a navi standing on a street light that thought high and mighty of himself. He would normally just pass this kind of thing by, but the guy was starting to cause traffic -- too many people were standing and watching, waiting to see what would happen.
It was a shame that Knight actually had some place to be. It'd been a while since his last fight, and a public one would have been interesting. Although it wasn't in his character to attack somebody (regardless of the challenge issued), Knight figured if he provoked the navi just a little he would clear up the commotion and perhaps get to see what that navi was made of.
An arrow of white light materialized at the bottom end of his pentagon-shaped shield -- he lifted his arm so that he could aim it at the 'platform' Kosoku' was using to stand on. The navi around him ducked in fear, giving him a clear shot to blast the traffic light down.
CRASH!
The stop light made enough noise to gain everyone's attention now, as it fell to the ground and shattered, with Kosoku presumably on top.
Knight walked silently by where it had landed, paying no extra attention to Kosoku, but sort of huffing him off as he walked by a few yards while the tip of his shield still sparkled from the arrow of light that had just been fired from it.

Kosoku's eagle eyes caught Kight's shield within the crowd of people. It was needless to say that he wasn't expecting an arrow of light to shoot at him from a shield, but Kosoku had just enough time to jump off of the light just before it fell to the ground. If he hadn't been actively looking for an opponent, then things would have ended much differently.
The marvelous body of Kosoku seemed to glide through the air as he performed a front flip towards the attacker. Just as he was coming out of the flip, he stuck his right leg out to deliver a heel drop at Knight's head. If his opponent was going to attack without warning then so would he (sort of).

Knight paused for a moment. He had every weapon he could carry, hanging on his massive shield, and was wearing a helmet.
... And yet this guy -- no weapons at all -- came flying at him. With a heelstrike.
To the head?
Knight made no movement as the attack struck with a loud clanging sound -- most likely doing much more damage to Kosoku's foot than any at all to Knight -- but the ringing in his ears took a while to go away.
Standing next to him now, still not saying a word, Knight held his shield out in front of him while thrusting forward -- attempting to bash Kosoku with it -- immediately following up with a short hop. The jump wasn't high -- after all, Knight had alot of weight keeping him down -- but it was high enough that when Knight span and kicked, his foot struck at about Kosoku's chest level.
Knight's short decent from the jump didn't give him much time for a pretty landing, so his foot was still outstretched by the time he hit the ground -- he used his opposite knee and foot as well as both of his hands to help balance out his landing.
" ... "
Looking up to see how Kosoku had faired, Knight slowly rose to his feet and brushed the dirt off of his knee from the sloppy landing. Some of the crowd boo'd at him, while plenty others cheered him on. He'd never fought in front of an audience before, but it was rather... rewarding.

Starting out a fight with a successful attack was always a good thing, but this first strike had more repercussions than benefits. Kosoku had indeed seen the helmet, but he hadn't thought anything of it. He as confident that his own strength would outmatch the strength of a dingy piece of armor, but that wasn't the case. The attack didn't seem to do anything to Knight, and Kosoku wasn't exactly in a position to adapt to a miscalculation. Despite the attack being blocked, he still followed through with the kick and landed on his feet. It wasn't the most graceful landing ever, but it gave him enough time to react to Knight's follow up. His foot ached from kicking what might as well have been a brick wall, but it was just a minor bruise in the grand scheme of things.
The shield bash wasn't all that threatening to Kosoku. Nevertheless, he still took a small jump backwards to avoid the hit, but the length of Knight's leg left little time to perform another casual dodge. He still wasn't worried about the oncoming kick, since he was pretty sure a simple block would dismiss any real damage done by it. Both of his arms quickly came up in a defensive position as the kick connected.
Kosoku had made another miscalculation. Knight was much heavier than he looked, and it was because of his weight that the kick had knocked him down. Some of the spectators laughed at the result, but their mockery would only serve to empower Kosoku. Standing back up with minor injuries, Kosoku pointed an accusing finger at Knight as he frowned.
"Didn't anyone ever teach you to fight fair? You've got some guts ambushing such a powerful Navi like myself. Don't you for a second think I'll go easy on you, you lazy overweight Trojan!"
Kosoku opened his extended hand as a ball of shadow energy began to form in front of him. It was only about the size of a softball, but it rapidly formed within his hand. Just as energy stopped gathering around his hand, the ball seemed to burst into 10 smaller black beams that were aimed straight at Knight. The crowd was wise enough to not get in between the two Navis' battle, leaving a rather open area for the beams to travel in.
"Prepare to face punishment! Scatter Shot!"

Not a fair fight -- perhaps. Beggars can't be chooses though. After all, Kosoku did offer a challenge to anyone that was up for it.
" ... "
Despite Kosoku's accusation and insult, Knight made no bother to respond to him. Rather, he just stayed focused on the fight.
The dark attack came, but Knight hid behind his massive shield. It was always very reliable in the past, and it should be no different now. And so it was. Each of the dark beams pounded into the shield -- but luckily, none were able to pierce it. The impact from each shot push Knight back a little bit -- although his stance was solid and his body unflinching, his foot couldn't help but slide back just a little bit each time a beam struck the shield.
The shield barely made it to the end, and was wiped out from the final beam. Due to overusing it, the shield created a small explosion -- shattering itself and sending Knight flying back a few yards. On the bright side, though, this lowered the weight he was carrying by a large margin, so he was able to catch his balance while airborne and control his landing (which was much sharper than before).
Each weapon that had previously been attached to the shield now hovered in place around Knight's body, glowing with a faint white light. It appeared that, even though the shield that carried his weapons was shattered, the weapons were still mentally in Knight's control. But he'd try not to use them unless necessary, since the opposition was mostly unarmed... except for the unexpected magic-like abilities.
As Knight moved, the weapons followed him -- still floating in the air, glowing. He approached Kosoku, and as he got close enough, lifted himself up for what appeared to be another kick, just as before. However, attempting to use the element of surprise, Knight dropped back to the ground unbelievably quickly, just as he reached the peak of his jump. As soon as he touched down -- before Kosoku had time to realize Knight's deception -- he flipped into a backflip kick, aiming square at the jaw, and finishing this landing just as cleanly as the last.
The crowd didn't cheer as loudly this time. Had he lost fans? Or perhaps they were a little too scared to cheer? Regardless, Knight kept his head in the fight as he took a small step back to separate his distance from Kosoku just slightly.

The crowd's decreased cheering wasn't because or any distaste in the battle, but because Knight's attack hadn't done anything. The kick seemed to go straight through Kosoku's body, who now stood unmoved with a grin. In a desperate attempt to impress the onlookers, Kosoku had planned on used his God's Illusion to avoid Knight's next attack. He didn't know what Knight would do, but he still planned on using his secret weapon, regardless of whatever attack would be launched. He needed the crowd's support merely for the sake of boosting his own ego, which meant making rash, unwise decisions.
Kosoku had appeared about 5 meters behind the illusion, using it as cover as he rushed straight for Knight. His whole body was slowly being covered in the same black shadow energy that he had just used, turning his shimmering figure into no more than a shadow. The illusion disappeared as Kosoku ran through it, continuing his rush towards Knight. He planned on passing right through his opponent, using his shadow energy to inflict some unseen wounds. No words would be spoken as he carried out his attack.

Knight beginning to grow slightly tired of his failed melee attacks. He caught sight of Kosoku behind the illusion just before he ran through it, giving him enough time to grab his sword and hold it out in front of him, assuming he could plunge right through Kosoku as he ran directly in to the attack.
The outcome was much different than Knight had expected though -- Kosoku's shadow-like form had passed right through the weapon, and himself. The damage he felt inside of himself was unlike anything he had never experienced -- no enemy had ever been able to go through him like that. And the pain didn't subside -- it just kept pricking at him from the inside, like thousands of needles underneath his skin. He tried not to let in bother or hinder him, but it did.
So it seemed like things needed to be ended rather quickly now, so that Knight could figure out how to fix this after the fight was over and hopefully before it was too late. His sword resumed its previous position, hovering just outside of his reach, while he grabbed both of his pistols which had been hovering over each of his shoulders during this time.
" ... "
Still silent -- despite the aching pain he was feeling inside. It was enough to probably hinder Knight's fighting, but not enough to be worthy of any grunt or verbal sign of pain.
Aiming the handguns at Kosoku, Knight fired off two quick shots from each, all aimed at his chest, then fired both simultaneously at Kosoku's forehead before putting the weapons back in their previous position. Hopefully that would have been enough, but if not, Knight already had his hand on his lance, ready for further action.

Kosoku's black aura dissipated shortly after he passed through Knight, giving a confident smile to the crowd as his color returned to him. He had ended the attack landing on one knee with his arms still extended behind him from running, making for a rather over dramatic finish. His scarf fluttered in the wind, acting as a victorious flag to Kosoku's one and only successful attack. It was too early to be celebrating, but any kind of attack with as much flare as his Dark Matter Rush deserved a little praise. Some of the Navis in the crowd cheered for his spectacular maneuver, but most just mocked him for showing off.
The attack didn't come without consequence. The Shadow state that his Dark Matter Rush required allowed him to internal harm opponent's very data, but it also meant that others could harm him internally as well. The sword strike that Knight had thought had been unsuccessful and left a gut wrenching pain in his stomach where the blade had passed. Kosoku wasn't about to show any sign of weakness, but he couldn't help but close his eyes from the pain while forcing his mouth to twist into a smirk. He gave himself a moment in the same animated position to catch his second wind, giving Knight plenty of time to set up for his next attack.
Once Kosoku could push down the pain, he opened his eyes and spun his body around to a standing position, facing Knight once again. His right hand was in a fist with his thumb pointing to his own chest. "I like to call that little maneuver God's Dark...HEY!"
Knight hadn't wasted any time in firing off a few rounds from his pistols, each hitting their intended targets. His chest was pounded by the bullets, but their pain would be nothing compared to the simultaneous shots to his head.
"OW!"
The impact made Kosoku fall over once again, followed by the crowd's falling respect for the speedy warrior. He landed flat on his back with both of his hands at his forehead, gripping the injury harder as if to make the pain go away. Several "Ow"s and "Oof"s uttered from Kosoku's mouth has he did his best to recover. After a few seconds of much needed complaining, he sat back up and awkwardly got back to his feet. He still kept a hand clutched on his forehead.
"You'll pay for that one! Don't think for a second that because of a few lucky shots that you have a chance of beating me! Let's see you keep up with Wind's messenger: a speed that not even nature can match!"
Pushing through the pain from his newly acquired injuries, Kosoku focused all of his energy and attention on his next attack. He rushed at Knight once again, doubling the speed he had previously demonstrated with his previous attack. His body didn't turn black like before, but his path went in a zig-zag to make himself a harder target for Knight's pistols. He kept his body low to the ground and his arms pointing straight behind him. A powerful wind began to circle around Kosoku's right arm as he charged up his next attack, aiming to punch Knight right in the stomach once he was in range. His maneuver was risky, but Kosoku had to get in close if he hoped to throw his opponent off with another new attack.
"UNBEATABLLLLLLE PUNCH!"
As he punched, the wind that had gathered around his arm released itself, creating a devastating force in the direction of the punch. Several Navis would be knocked back by the attack's strength, but the only Navi that needed to be pushed back was Knight. There was no guarantee that he'd be able to get in close enough to attack Knight, but he had to give it a shot.

'Even better', Knight thought as he saw the navi closing in on him. He let go of his lance and went to grab the spiked-mace instead. If he could crush this navi at just the right time, he could finish this.
Kosoku was approaching much quicker than expected -- he speed was drastically increased compared to before. Knight's strike would have to be executed early if he planned on hitting. The mace was behind him, as Kosoku closed in, Knight began swinging it over his head to the front of his body. Knight's arm had just passed his forehead when Kosoku initiated the actual punch -- had Knight's swing just been slightly faster, or slightly sooner, he would've successfully struck Kosoku with it. But as fate would have it, the mace had just barely began to graze the top of Kosoku's head (leaving little more than a tickling feeling) as Knight was sent spiraling away from his opposition. Literally a millisecond too late -- but so close.
The ground seemed to spin around Knight from his perspective as his body twirled in the air, flying backward from the devastating hit. To his advantage, a group of spectators cushioned his landing... several of the poor navi had to seek medical attention immediately from the impact, though. Had Knight not been wearing his helmet, he probably would've been knocked out as well. The other navi were lucky not to be struck with any of Knight's weapons -- each of which were a few yards behind him as he flew back in the air too quickly for them to keep up.
Regaining his composure, but not yet back on his feet, Knight took a second to contemplate which weapon would be best to use. The mace was strong, but too slow. The Warhammer as well. Handguns didn't really work as well as intended before, so why would they work now? The sword had already failed, and it was rather short. His dagger could be thrown, but that wouldn't do much. What else did he have... his lance? And an axe.
Before Knight made up his mind, another idea crossed his mind. It just might work.
Grabbing the handguns again, Knight got back to his feet as the weapons slowly began to spin around him. He took no aim, nor made any offensive move. Rather, he just walked slowly toward Kosoku -- gave focused straight ahead. He wasn't going to launch an attack this time... instead, he just slowly continued to approach his target, and as he drew closer, his weapons began orbit slightly faster.

Kosoku's speed and position had allowed him to barely avoid the mace strike, but the attack was still a little too close for comfort. Nevertheless, his luck was looking up as he landed yet another devastating attack on his opponent. It was only a matter of time before the tides would turn, but Kosoku would soak in his small little victories while they lasted.
A confident stance followed his Unbeatable Punch. He waited for Knight to stand back up before he further taunted his opponent.
"Your myriad of weapons are no match for my indomitable speed! Try all you want, but I'm just too quick for you to even lay a finger on me! As this city watches your defeat, so too do they witness the awe inspiring power of the god-created Kosoku!"
In response to Kosoku's speech, Knight began to spin his weapons around him. They were acting as a shield to keep Kosoku from getting in close again, but such a makeshift defense wouldn't be enough to hold back Kosoku's confidence. Pain began to seep back throughout his body, this time even more intense than it had been before. He wasn't about to show any signs of his weakness, but his face grimaced for a second as he decided his next plan of action.
Regaining a somewhat normal expression, Kosoku sucked in a massive amount of air, filling his data-created lungs as much as he could. His chest visibly expanded as he tilted his head back. Once he had sucked up as much air as he could, Kosoku released it all at once, shooting a large ball of air from his mouth right at Knight. The ball's integrity was rather pathetic, but it didn't need to be too strong to move past the relatively slow moving weapons.

Knight grinned. Just as soon as Kosoku let out the first huff of air, when the attack's direction had already been set, he jumped high out of the way of it -- much higher than he seemed capable of jumping.
Now above Kosoku, coming down at him, Knight's larger weapons (the lance, the warhammer, the battleaxe, and the sword) flew down directly at Kosoku. They each missed him, but just barely. This was intended though. Each weapon stuck in the ground, just centimeters away from his skin, and together they encircled him like a cage. The only way out was up -- which was directly were Knight was coming from.
To make matters worse, the roped dagger seemed to come to life and intertwine itself with Kosoku and the 'cage' of weapons, debilitating him even further. With only the pistols and the mace left, Knight fired off the pistols rapidly as he made his decent, then pulled out his mace just before he reached Kosoku to strike down at him with a crushing landing.
In a flash of light, all of the weapons simultaneously disappeared, leaving only Knight and Kosoku. Silent again, careless of whether Kosoku was done or not, Knight turned his back and walked away in silence.
Even if his foe survived and had some fight still in him, Knight was finished with this. After all, he had some place to be. He disappeared into the crowd shortly afterward, all who were staring in bewilderment of the battle.

Okay, judgey tiem. Style: Both of you did pretty well here. It wasn't Shakespeare but it wasn't supposed to be. I did, however, find Warrior's phrasing was a bit awkward in places. Furthermore, his second post has WAY too many dashes. Warrior: 22/30 Omega: 26/30 Articulation: Omega's posts went into descriptive details more often, and they were all well done without being distracting. Some of Warrior's text is dry in comparison, but it's far from bad - everything is well-realized enough to be easy to follow. Warrior: 14 / 20 Omega: 17 / 20 Balance: There was a really nice back-and-forth going on here, and I was ready to give you each a perfect score until I read Warrior's final post. I understand he wanted to go all out for a grand finale, but the text of his post makes too many assumptions, explicitly stating his attack was successful in trapping Kosoku, who is of course known for being great at dodging. This kind of writing has a shade of godmodding in it, and should be discouraged. This isn't nearly bad enough to be a major offense or real rules violation, but his points are being docked. Warrior: 15 / 20 Omega: 20 / 20 Length: Both of you took the time you needed and not more or less. It was done very well on both counts. Warrior: 10 / 10 Omega: 10 / 10 Emotion: You both did a good job making sure the focus wasn't solely on the attacks, and I did learn a decent bit about each combatant as a character. That said, I feel like Omega's posts were more consistent in this regard, even as Kosoku's emotions changed. Knight also seemed a bit monotonous, but I'm not taking much off for that because I believe some of it is due to his much more reserved personality. Warrior: 7 / 10 Omega: 9 / 10 Judge Points: Since I feel I've covered everything, your scores here are based on your average scores in the previous categories. Warrior: 8 / 10 Omega: 9 / 10 OVERALL: Warrior: 76 / 100, B-Rank Omega: 91 / 100, A-Rank KOSOKU WINS Rewards:52 EXP and 520z for Knight (includes Resource Type bonus) 70 EXP and 700z for Kosoku And remember! One or both of you can get an extra 5 EXP and 50z for making final posts finishing the battle. If this is done, since Kosoku won the judgement, he also wins the fight.
