It was good to be back... but even so, there was a strange sense of foreboding that hung in the chilled night air. Xyzillentz was stronger than he had been when he had last wandered these soulless streets, but still there was anticipation weighing on his mind. He was not here planning to make any big moves - he knew he wasn't ready for that yet - but you didn't need to do much of anything to be a target around here.
All along the edges of the road were boarded-up buildings, long abandoned by whoever had once owned them. They belonged to the chaos now, the hopeless, quiet, hidden force that had taken hold of the entire area. What few streetlights remained were ill-maintained; they flickered constantly, leaving the sinister storefronts and cracked concrete trapped in some limbo between dim illumination and total, engulfing darkness.
It was through that darkness that the noxious navi thought he heard a sound. He turned his head quickly and sharply, surveying his surroundings through his helmet's visor. Perhaps it was nothing... or perhaps it was a creature of the night coming to give him a wicked welcome.

[bgcolor=purple] "He's a quick one..." mused such a creature of the night. While he wasn't nocturnal in the sense he only hunted at night like alot of animals, he actually wasn't even remotely phased by the sun. Which given what he was modeled after, thats rather odd. What he happened to be was a vampire, but instead of blood, he drained navis or powergrids of electricity.
He was actually a common face in these parts, there were more then plenty of dark places to hide and lay in wait for possible targets. Alot of em were small time navis owned by nameless criminals. Nothing big. So you could say, he was right at home in this neighborhood. When he wasn't attacking a power station, this was where he went to feed.
And he had just spotted a possible target. He was different from the garden variety navis that you could find here. So logically that would mean that he would give Pulsar more juice yes? Pulsar kept to the shadows, stalking Xyzillentz and waiting for the right moment to strike... or to be seen; whichever came first.

The lights flickered back on for a moment, their weak glow just enough to reveal the form of a gaunt figure, finely dressed. The embroidery on his cape reflected the orange incandescence of the street lamp.
Now was no time to show any apprehension. Xyzillentz walked over to his pursuer slowly and nonthreateningly. His hips swayed seductively as he sauntered towards the pale man. "My my, aren't you a striking scoundrel?" His voice was not mocking, but honestly complimentary. "You needn't try hiding, dear... a fashionable fiend always catches my eye." He was nothing but courteous, even though he was acutely aware that this navi was probably out to harm him. "Now why don't you come over here so we can discuss what you want from me like gentlemen?"

[bgcolor=purple]Pulsar offered the curteous and... strange navi a fanged grin. He had not entirely been expecting that sort of reaction. Most people would either get defensive and apprehensive at the sight of him. "My, aren't we curteous," Pulsar replied in a silky sounding tone of voice. The straight forward greeting only momentarily threw him off guard. This had to have been a ruse. "Then allow me to introduce myself. I am Pulsarman," Pulsar added with a step forward into a bow, his cape briefly draping over his body.
"And I am a vampire that feeds off of electrical power," Pulsar went on, rising from his bow with an evil fanged grin. "I'm quite famished... so if you would be so kind as to cooperate, I'll do you the courtesy of leaving you alive when I'm finished," Pulsar finished with a malicious edge to his voice. He did not foresee this going quite that easy though...

((OOC Note: Yes, this is technically the first battle post, but I'm not gonna use it to battle for the sake of characterization.))
The toxic terror placed a gloved hand on his hip, leaning to the side and examining the vampire closely. He really was a sight for sore eyes; his regal appearance a clear contrast to the run-down area they were in. His manners, too, were a refreshing change of pace.
"I'll be honest, Pulsarman. I like you. But you and I both know leaving me alive would be pointless once you've had your fill. Around here, a drained, weak navi wouldn't last any longer than - oh, let's say 37 minutes." He reached out his hand, pointing at the data drinker. "Since we're clearly both reasonable men, allow me to propose a deal... we battle. I'll even give you the first strike. If you lose, I'll let you take a sip anyhow... just enough to get you by. And if you defeat me..." He ran his hands all the way down his body, rolling them over the curves his tight suit made obvious. "...then I will be your feast for the night. Do you accept?"

[Battle post 1] ((foreshadowing ftw))
[bgcolor=purple]"Smart too," Pulsar thought with a grin. Though that made Xyz more of a threat in his mind inspite the... odd demeanor. Pulsar couldn't help but feel like he was being seduced. Regardless of that, the preposal his new "friend" had made was still enticing. "Well, preposing the deal when I still have the option of draining you is a moot point," Pulsar replied finally, his cape suddenly splitting and reering back into a pair of large batwings.
"As you wish, I accept," Pulsar finished as his new wings flapped, carrying him upwards as electricity gathered around his hands. With a flick of his wrist, Pulsar sent a purple bolt of lightning hurling straight at Xyz, staying afloat in the air with his wings. If he had more power, he could cover the area in an electromagnetic field. But he did not quite have the power right now to do so. Meanwhile, a small ball of electricity rose up from the ground, flittering about curiously before it hurled itself straight at Xyz.

"Well pardon me for wanting to give a dashing darkloid the benefit of the doubt." He cartwheeled out of the path of the purple bolt, an unnecessary but oh-so-satisfying bit of flamboyance. He did not see the wisp, however - and it struck him in the leg as he came in for a landing. He winced under his helmet and ducked into a kneel. The damage wasn't too bad - it was the shock of an unseen attack that had shaken him.
Xyzillentz aimed his head upwards, staring through his visor at his flying foe. A beam of dark energy emerged, surging towards the night flier. To match the Mephistophelean Moonbeam, he emitted a painfully high-frequency tone from the speakers on his suit. It echoed endlessly through the alleyway, threatening to interfere with the vampire's mental coding.

[bgcolor=purple][Battle Post 2]
Pulsar kept afloat, already charging up another attack with one hand. Priming a Frightening Orb and launching the purple sphere of electricity just as Xyz retaliated with a dark energy beam. Pulsar stopped flapping and allowed himself to drop, just barely avoiding the beam when another attack came at him.
Pulsar couldn't readily avoid this one, and instead quickly enveloped his body with a barrier of raw data to counter it. A purple field of data flared up, the soundwaves making the barrier vibrate as it absorbed the attack and waning afterward. Pulsar launched another bolt of purple lightning from his finger tips apon touching back down, trying to keep the pressure on Xyz.

The venomous villain stood his ground, taking the force of the lightning strikes from the vampire's fingers. He winced as he did so, feeling their power damaging his code, but he couldn't afford to move right now - he had to aim. His jaw came unhinged and a stream of stinky, acidic green gas shot out directly at Pulsar, corrosive enough to eat straight through his protective barrier.
Following it up, hidden within the noxious mist, his forked tongue flew out at the creature of the night, dripping with disgusting toxic goop. He gave it a bit of a curve as it launched forward, hoping to wrap it around his victim and pull him back down to the ground.
