Serix didn't take to kindly to being woken up so rudely, but was learning that sometimes a softer approach was better in dealing with others. "Hm...something about a door? Oh, so you live up here! Must not get many visitors, being so high up." She hopped up out of the...rocks and extended her hand to the mysterious navi. "The name's Serix. I'm a....traveler of sorts." She hadn't realized that she was in her Green Tempest uniform, but that didn't seem to matter at the moment. "And your name is?"

*Iscon swings his pickaxe around and secures it under his backpack before looking around, thinking about the Navi who had spontaneously become his neighbor and the many Navis who had passed through the barren wasteland in recent months, present company included*
Iscon: ...you might be surprised.
*Iscon sighs and shakes his head before he continues*
Iscon: My name is Iscon, and I'm a data-miner harvesting what I can from this mountain.
*Iscon steps past Serix and grips the rock on the mountain's face, the retractable spikes on his steel gloves coming out and digging into the pre-worn grooves in the rock from where he had moved it numerous times in the past. He then almost effortlessly rolls it out of the way to reveal his simple and rough home inside*
Iscon: You're a welcome guest here for as long as you like. Now please, come in from the cold and sit for a while, restore your strength before you continue.

The offer seemed too good to be true, but she didn't have many other options. "Alright, I'll take you up on your kind offer." She didn't really see any reason not to trust him. So she followed him inside. "So, Iscon, have you found any interesting data so far? Possibly something that some form of military or government might be interested in?" She found something to sit on, crossing her legs as she watched Iscon carefully.

*With his back turned to Serix, Iscon works at his make-shift kitchen, which entails little more than a wooden counter, a fair sized box with rations of various kinds, and a single burner. Iscon laugs under his breath with a good-natured tone as his guest asks her question and puts a stone pot filled with snow on the burner. He then lights the burner with a match and drops a small white cloth bag to the pot, covering it with a flattened stone*
Iscon: I'm afraid not. Most of what I find up here is junk data. The inside of the mountain is actually something of a recycling bin for Sharo, and I'm half-owner of it along with the Sharo government.
*Iscon turns to Serix and leans on the counter, his eyes raised as he thinks*
Iscon: It's far less profitable than it may sound, as you can see from my humble home. You see, 90% of what I mine is literal junk data that I sell to the Sharo government to refine into bugfrags. However, the raw volume of junk data that it takes to refine one bugfrag is so vast that 90% of my work accounts for 10% of my income. The rare occasion that I can find non-fragmented data, such as usable programs, and sell them in town is where most of my income is from.
*Iscon then nods to the back of the cave where ten carts like the one he'd pulled up the mountain lline up, each overfull with junk data*
Iscon: But enough about me....
*Iscon then pulls the pot that he'd just had on his burner and two cups from behind himself and holds them up*
Iscon: Would you care for some herbal tea? It's made from rare cave herbs that don't grow anywhere else in this world.

At the mention of cave herbs, something made a sound in her head. "I didn't know that herbs grew in caves. Well, I suppose I could have some. As for me, I'm an unofficial member of the Green Tempest. Only difference between me and one of the walking suits is that I'm not bound by military law." She acknowledged the many junk carts in the back, but also that they had no discernible odor. "I guess I got my big debut when Creamland got attacked by some sort of mystery monster with a speech impediment. Unfortunately, there was also another navi there with a sort of personality disorder. He sided with the creature, and was swiftly dealt with." The air around her got significantly heavier. "There was one other navi there worth mentioning. I had met him years ago, while working in a casino network. He was funny, but knew just when to be serious. The problem was, this also came with a bit of a superiority complex. All he ever really wanted was to be taken seriously." The air got just a bit lighter at this point in her....monologue, should we say? "I last saw him when the beast attacked. He seemed to have become much stronger than when I first met him, but a little darker as well. After that, I just can't seem to find him anymore. Do you think you could tell me if he's been by? Maybe if I give you a description?"

*Iscon pours two cups of tea, handing one to Serix and taking the other for himself*
Iscon: There are a few that can grow here... fortunately the net isn't completely like the real world, otherwise I might end up starving.
*Iscon takes a sip of his tea and listens to Serix' story, remaining silent throughout until the end*
Iscon: Hmm... that event was a few months ago, and I've spent much of my time inside the mountain since then, so I'm not sure if I can be of much help. Still, feel free to describe your friend and I'll see if I can remember anyone that meets his description.

Serix was happy that she had met someone so kind and willing to help. So she described the navi as best as she could. "Well, he's got a bit of a superiority complex, but for the most part he's nice. He has tall black hair, a militaristic outfit, and a large sword. He's about the same height as me, with an athletic build. He has green eyes, and a swordy virus that looks like him. The virus can be very generous, and generally stays in his sword." She paused for a moment to catch her breath, and take a sip of her tea. "His hair is kind of spiky, and he does have some dark chips on him, but he only uses them when he needs to. He is skilled with a blade, and can be a bit of a handful. Have you seen anyone like that?" She wasn't sure what Iscon would say, but she really hoped she would get some good news.

*Having zoned out a bit during Serix' description of her friend, Iscon comes back to his senses, turning back to his guest*
Iscon: I'm sorry, but I haven't seen anyone along those lines.

Hidden away in the last peak of the expansive mountain range, lied a horrible secret. A secret that revealed the dark nature of the human mind, a secret of how truly lustful humans were for fame, a secret of greed and the overpowering drive it gave to obtain and satisfy...at all costs...
Beaten metal left for rubble and shattered glass sprawled out on the hard pavement within the enclosed room. Spilled chemicals mixed with shambles and broken pieces of equipment was all that remained of the horrid nightmare, yet for the Maiden it will always be a vivid reality. The circular impenetrable wall that echoed cries, screams and pleas through time would be stained forever with that sound and the scent of years worth of blood, sweat and tears mingled with the memories. No exit, no entrance, just forever encased in the room built in the mountain. Unless one knew the exact co-ordinates of the laboratory to beam within..there was no way in and that is exactly how it was designed. The dense mountain was chosen to keep the secret, and keep the secret it would.
The Maiden's small knees crashed into the pavement, glass digging into her flesh, cascading waterfalls of her lifeline oozed freely and further grinding into the bone. Fingers clenched so tightly, her nails broke the veins and her lifeline ran on her fingers to splatter below in large pools. Phoebe fell, so exhausted of the continuous pain and sorrow, drained of healing the Angel and overwhelmed by a dread-filled past. No connections, no one who wanted to be her friend, just left alone in the world. Amethyst closed to the world and the Maiden succumbed slowly..

[bgcolor=330000] ”I’m always the fool; I’m always the villain!” _______________________________ This is where she was supposed to be?
The trail of darkness did not lie in this worn place. Shattered glass, twisted metal, severed wires; all destruction is was. As the first foot touched down upon the metal, the crunching snow had mixed in with clinks and clanks. Shards and fragments were kicked aside like the useless rubble they were, and the being’s path remained undeterred. The hunched over maiden was like a frail mouse, and the approaching figure from her left shoulder had no sympathy beyond that crooked smile for those flowing tears that pelted and melted the lush frost.
“Oh! Trash with Treasure!” the female fiend a gawk as she cast a shadow over the maiden, “There is always treasure with trash. People don’t see, but it’s there! How else could they see it though? They look all around the treasure and see everything else that doesn’t catch their eye. Therefore, they assume the ‘treasure’ was thrown away for the same reason: that it’s trash!”
She had seemed to take delight, even as the female NetNavi was sad and reeked with grief. Her expression said either that she did not notice, or she did not care as she simply smiled and clasped her hands together endearingly. Her head tilted in a manner towards her closed palms as if she can rest it right upon it with shoulders raised. With a sigh of relief, she had looked down upon the maiden, shoulders relaxed, eyes as empty as a cupped glass. Looking down upon her, only her lips moved softly as she introduced herself.
“I am…Yami.” with the simple uttering of her name, the darkness seeped from underneath her long clothing, her hair, and her open sleeves beyond an imagination’s volume. It had risen and poured to the ground as if it was overwhelming her very body and started to blanket the white snow and all that was below. The scraps of metal, junk, and remains of the lab had become afloat upon the pool of darkness and slowly pulled it beyond sight, and beneath the frost as a crunch could be heard, and if the maiden could feel it at her feet, it would be pulling her and preventing her from logging out.
This darkness was just what it implied; a heavy burden and weight that pulled like a body snatched the light of the stars drawn to it in space and in time…consumed that light.
“No name is needed from you,” Yami said to Phoebe either being very considerate or just very carefree, “Are you trash or are you treasure is all I need to know.”

"Let's see."
Out of nowhere, what appeared to be no more then a cloak kicked Pheobe.
"Get up, laying in the middle of glass will do you no good."
It wasn't clear what this thing was, or how it got here, but it seemed malevolent.

Thick mists of deep darkness seeped into the horror-filled past, savouring the sweet metallic scent. Growing in layers, the darkness had almost an intelligence of its own feasting on the scars of the Maiden, grappling on her mind and crawling upward on her flesh with each passing moment. The jaws of fear opened and encased the room freely, leaving the Maiden frozen with it's laughter at her pain. So many voice mingled as one. Dread snaked around her pure heart, tightening with every waking moment.
Ruby rivers still poured without restraint over her, and a hard kick left severe internal damage. Tears engraved their mark and to the pure-hearted Maiden, there was no hope in a future for her. Nothing was left, drained continually for other's well-being. What was left for her?
The Moon's Pearl suddenly shone it it's pure brilliance and light. Such comfort, such purity and such relief of the nightmare. It traveled to protect the Pure Maiden from more harm. Regeneration awakened from it's slumber and worked its magic, healing the injuries. The darkness dispelled and the ghost of a smile appeared on her face. Amethyst twinkled back to life, stars ablaze. A fragment of hope was finally born, so beautiful and radiant in all its splendour. A hope unknown to her, but a precious treasure to be kept. A friend...a future...who knew...
While this foreign navi was the epitome of darkness...the Maiden was the essence of light and so she would glow, hope and hold on...come what may and perhaps the foreign navi's question was answered.

[bgcolor=330000] ”I’m always the fool; I’m always the villain!” _______________________________ If silence was golden, then there was a glimmer to be seen in Yami’s eyes as she looked down upon Phoebe.
A fiendish plan come to mind as she looked upon the NetNavi. The darkness that tore away some bits had little to no effect as the NetNavi had seemed to instantly recover damage. Some or all of it? All of it, Yami hoped, had recovered, or else she would be nothing less than what was expected. The maiden would have nothing to show for her existence other than being another toy to be played with and broken within time. No effort to repair, to fixate, but simply to rot with the world the NetNavi had in mind.
However, she had not disappointed. “I see.” the simple words enough to show she had an answer, and a charming malevolent smile to show she was satisfied with it.
*POP! POP!~* With a snap of Yami’s fingers, four twisting spirals of dark vapor like smoke appeared outside the parameter of all three NetNavis.
“Now, now…” Yami’s arms dropped into a fold under her supple bosoms as she limply let her fingers hang, “No need to be a rude guest. My host here and I simply are having a small inquiry about ourselves. Surely you can appreciate a sophisticated young lady like herself. I have a feeling she can help me, but to what you contribute to just that…”
Yami’s smile stretched from ear to ear as she said…“…I’m just not sure.”
*CRACK! CRASH! CRUNCH!!!*
Glass shattered, snow had buckled into slush, the remains of metal twisted into pieces as flat and then as dimes. The darkness was consuming, heavy, and to its nature it affected the one thing that was just was weighted or light in or outside the heart: Gravity.
Yami was unaffected, seeming to relish within it, and to make it apparent why could be seen as it had appeared at her feet, raced along her body like a rapidly burning flames, but was thick and black. From her rounded hips to her head, it had grown as it had more of a definite form and shape. The blackness was separated by three shreds of purple: two of them on each side of the thick and shaped darkness like eyes and one slit like a diamond in the center of it hanging perfectly over Yami’s head. The NetNavi was lost in the darkness as if it was night showing nothing but a silhouette and her glowing deep purple eyes.
This was the power of a dark chip being unleashed.
Phoebe’s punishment, was continuous as the darkness still weighted, but it was enrapturing, and ripping at the cloaked NetNavi as it seemed to surround him like a burning circle of fire and brimmed just as intensely. It was controlled as Yami’s limp fingers came to life moving in a circular pattern and opening in a spread. The darkness had done just as the digits signed as it seemed to simply keep the cloak NetNavi in the middle, but yet not try to cause any physical harm…not unless directed most likely.
“You have such a pleasant gift,” Yami said looking at the cloak NetNavi, but eyes shifted to Phoebe seconds after a prolonged pause. Yami’s body and mouth movements were untold with the darkness still concealing her and making her look like nothing more than a silhouette to the NetNavis, “So pleasant, that even if I were to rip that NetNavi asunder using this foul darkness, all he would feel is your gentle hands bringing him back to life. However, as pleasant as it is, I don’t think he’d enjoy having history repeat itself.”
Yami’s fingers curled, and the darkness became restless, roaring like a true fire around all three of them.
“So, my dear treasure, I need a favor of you.” Yami admitted with her voice so sweet, and charming; but the darkness just as ravenous and hungering like a savage beast gazing at prey.

"Hah. I'd like to see you try." The navi said, the light of his blank eyes shining regardless of the darkness around him. If you looked closely, you could see the thin outline of a smile from within the darkness his cloak provided. "I stopped feeling anything a long time ago. In fact, let me help you kill me." Without consequence, the navi manipulated the darkness around him, causing it to solidify into a thorny mess, piercing the cloak several times. Feeling little pain, the navi smiled, much more apparently. It was an illusion, bent light, but to onlookers it would appear as if he had been stabbed.
"Shouldn't I be dead?"

*With his cart behind him, Iscon comes around the path on the mountain next to the one where all of this is occuring. As he glances up, he simply stares for a few moments before shaking his head and moving on*
Iscon: Not my mountain, not my problem....
