"You seem awfully back and forth about sending people to New Life."
Finale shifted slightly as more and more people arrived - amnesiacs apparently, and in droves.
"It's too bad New Life's been offline since the [Erasure Incident] two months ago - the Stardroids disappeared and Creamland destroyed by an unknown force."
Finale sighed, wistfully.

“Ha! That’s funny love!” Yami smiling in her usual nonchalant and delusional manner as she strolled over to Genesis. Her hands reached out attempting to fixate his cloth as if it was a suit on a proper gent. His words did seem like one of those jokes you would tell at a dinner party. “Don’t humor me for a flirt in front of the gossiping guests! You could get by on looks alone, hun!” she winked as she said this.
Yami did not take that phrase Genesis spout seriously, not one bit! The Zoo, her private business with her Net Operator, was her life’s work! Every bit of information passed through the little club like a mad house. Information and knowledge to the optimum would drive a mind to droves. Thus, the name of the fancy little shindig earned its ironic title. Just the mention of Saul Kada was in reference to the little hangout.
Her pride and joy, and thus she dusted Genesis’s cloth with a swept back hand before she placed her hands on her hips. Fixing them in positions as a proper lady and a gentleman should: a position where they were earnest and did not tell half-truths and dirty lies. “Now hun,” she began, “If Saul Kada was gone, that would simply mean my questions and quandaries would be for nothing. Unlike that NetNavi, there who ‘has more than he like to admit,’ I certainly don’t get my shoes kicked off with hiding anything. That’s just bad foreplay.”
Yami looked to Midas with a playful frown for a moment before she looked to Genesis.
“Now then, what do you mean when you say, ‘Saul Kada’s gone.’ Are we talking offline? Some little invasion force took it over like your friend’s Creamy-Land over there, or just some little phrase to tease a girl, huh?”
Her mental state on the edge of delusional laughter and a hidden fear in the corner of her heart, Yami smiled as she expected the possible...but not the nearly impossible.

*Sure it seemed like he was back and forth about it. Because he wouldn't go there himself but Yami was welcome to. She should be fine if she did. Meanwhile he was perfectly content with Deimos or Finale heading there as well. That was because it was run in a case-by-case basis in his mind. If one considered what the two wanted and seemed to enjoy doing, it would have an obvious outcome for them to head there.*
"Unknown. Right. What do you know of the incident then? How much do you recall of anything in general? Or better put: what do you know?"
*Might as well get this over with. If Finale had proper answers, good. If not, then he would see about letting him in on that data after all. If people forgot the real reason why Creamland had to stay blown up then all the better for them. If Vinyl had decided to put some other incident in place instead then whatever. Just another thing to fix up on that end of things. Finale also said that New Life was offline much like Gravity Beetle before him. It didn't change much, but it did stop him from telling certain people to go there for information with amusing results. By his brother's standards. It was probably for the better. It meant Iria wouldn't show up any time soon with their main base out of temporary commission.*
*But Yami's reaction was somewhat expected at least. He would thank her for the compliment if not for the situation. He was glad she noticed that a lot of people didn't like telling the truth though. He could tell from her response that clarifying this wasn't going to do her any good for her condition. But he wouldn't lie anyway.*
"I mean that it was destroyed. Not offline, not taken over. It was vaporized in a single move. That was the kind of strength that thing held at its disposal."

“Thing?”
She said this nodding while staring right into Genesis’s eyes. She was a mixture of rage, confusion, and a hint of sadness to top of her depressed desert. “Thing...you say?” she repeated it. Her mind obviously in a loop trying to process the information. No snarky remarks. No innuendos. No business. Just her emotions as she stayed silent for a moment. Her hands fallen away from his cloth in a slow stride of her palm down his chest. Gradually, they had come to a fold under her arms, but those eyes. They still stared as they tried not to let it enter.
The emotion of sadness. It was not befitting for a busi-....former business woman.
“What thing are we taking about?” she finally said, narrowly escaping her loop as she spun around on her heel. Her stride went from flirty and promiscuous to prideful and revolting. “Is it the same thing we are taking about that was rid of my memories? Making my notes from a month about finances be hog wash by some virtual ‘roofy’ slipped on a gal’ like me? O-or...or...are we talking about the same ‘thing’ that had its way with my sleep and slipped me a nice little ‘stone’ to thank it for the quicky? OR! OR...just OR we are talking about the same thing that washed Creamy-what’s-its-face off the map?”
She was sporadic. Her speech went from broken to quick and agitated. It was one of few times Yami ever lost her temper in public. She spun around once more as she approached Genesis. Her arms still in a fold and her eyes glaring deep into his own. Her cherry red lipstick was shaped into a frustrated frown unlike any other before. It was authentic! Not playful whatsoever. Her right hand was pointed up to the NetNavi’s face while she stamped her heels in the ground hard enough to plant it.
“I am a little tired of ‘things’ having a little more control of me than I do! I...should not be the puppet in anyone’s game! I...should be the one control the flux of information that my memory allows me! I...should be sitting at my desk, legs crossed, sipping a Virtual Vanilla Schnapps and listening to the bass beating in the wals of my establishment!”
She snapped from her rage!
Her right hand flew up head level, her eyes shut, and her head lowered. She turned her backside to Genesis as her calm stride returned. It was slow, composed, and with another turn, she revealed her face once again. This time, it was straight. Not playful nor frustrated...just empty.
“No child’s play,” she beckoned with her straight face, “I am a grown woman. Must I pursue your coat tails for the truth, gentlemen?” Yami looked from Finale, to Genesis, then to Midas who she disgustedly turned away from to see the agua net’s wet stone walkway. She listened with open ears awaiting some information would come.
A first without using her feminine wiles to get it.

Re.en.! Another interloper in this supposedly secluded and tucked away area? RE..NT! Louder... What could it be? REPENT!!! The shrill voice pierces the air. Behind it a generic green navi with a badge replicating duos insignia on its chest.
THE WORLD HAS CHANGED, DUO HAS VANISHED FROM SIGHT. THE DIGITAL RAPTURE IS UPON US! CONVERT NOW TO THE ALMIGHTY SAVIOR AND PERHAPS YOU TOO WILL BE SPARED! He points directly at Finale, then swipes his finger to the rest of the navis.

*He had forgotten how many things had a habit of making things disappear. That depressed him a bit with how many things were prone to that. Unfortunate, wasn't it, that he was expecting more to be gone by the end of this? He shook his head in the negative for each of them, because for once it wasn't... entirely their fault. It was at least one of them for dropping him and Embera off at the wrong point of time. Or at the very least himself.*
"None of the above. It was my first time having a direct encounter with it. It resembled Forte at first, but was far from it."
*While he was still calm even as she pointed straight at him like that, she certainly no longer was. She also seemed to have a bit of a complex on controlling things. If nothing else, this made it where she wasn't using any facades.*
"I don't know what slipped you a stone for the quicky, I know that Vinyl set us back to this point, and I imagine that from the sounds of it Samhain hasn't come back to punch Creamland again either. Yet."
*He had mentioned the quicky without missing a beat. He also imagined Creamland would be pleasantly surprised if someone peeked back and noticed their work undone. It just wasn't the time of year yet for it to happen was all. And that wasn't even getting into all the other problems they had that just were staying quiet right now.*
*Plus listening to her made him actually think about how much control he had over his own life. The thought brought mixed emotions with it, eyes narrowing ever so slightly for just a moment. It was touch and go on that subject. But he moved on.*
"Total freedom is an illusion of the mind. We can only be as free as we allow ourselves to be. And even then, as you can see, there are things outside of our control. After all, we can only do so much and we cannot control the world itself. Things will happen and there will be nothing you can do about it."
*Even he knew that they weren't totally free. They had some freedom that was for certain, but how free were they? Most would give a different answer. If one considered recent events, those spoke for those answers, didn't they? And it was outside of their power to control how the world played out around them. All they could do was try to make it work the best they could.*
"I give the truth when I can to those I can. However, I do not speak for everyone. I've come to learn that getting the whole truth about an entire situation 'exactly' when you demand it is another thing outside of one's control. You can chase behind me, but I don't guarantee much besides likely frustration and questioning your decisions in life."
*Most of his sources either did not know everything or did not tell everything. If these weren't enough, he would end up searching the wrong place at the right time for someone else to gain an advantage. As a result he usually got a slice of both pies. So using him as a method to get the truth wasn't the best choice. Embera was better at it than he was even with her erratic personality. That should speak volumes on its own.*
*But it wouldn't be complete if someone else didn't arrive as the interlopers were aplenty today. His left eye visibly twitched finally, listening to hear what it was. And then the voice pierced the air and he realized this was going to be silly. If anything the idea they were spewing caused him to speak up instead of ignore them: which would have been the smart thing to do.*
"Are you seriously going on about a digital rapture? Duo doesn't even save people."

“You can chase behind me, but I don't guarantee much besides likely frustration and questioning your decision-“
“Right-right! Sure-sure! Yes-yes!” she said this as massaged the temples with her finger tips. Her eyes were close and she stared into nothing but the darkness. The female NetNavi seemed to be trying to focus her energy on keeping her calm. Regaining her cool, calm, and composed manner. However, thinking about everything all over again made her head hurt. Ms. Belladonna would not be pleased with her: not one bit.
“Forte...Vinyl? Duo? All these...myths!” she spat the word out in disgust, “These NetNavis playing God! It’s bad for business! If I have to endure any more of this...”
“CONVERT NOW TO THE ALMIGHTY SAVIOR..”
That was it.
Yami gave a piercing glare to the heretic nutcase of a NetNavi. A sigh escaping her breath, the female had stood upright, now more tired and drained than enthusiastic to deal with another guest who went on babbling about his precious God. The world was a twisted one, right? Even the Cyberworld sadly had such blind faith in divine figures that were to smite them in the end. Not her...not Yami. She only believed in the power of currency, information, and not to mention raw strength.
The boastful rambling. The blind faith. All of it really irked her!
“Why?” she questioned the lunatic, “Why spare you? A bunch of pieces of zeroes and ones like the rest of us? For all you know, your God doesn’t care if you live or die, hun. For all you know, he’s going to wipe you clean off the face of the land with his cleansing fires and...and...holy holly water-or-whatever he’s going to purify your desperate meaningless soul with.” Her hands tossed up in an annoyed manner. At this point, Yami spoke as if she was entertaining the imagination of a child.
“Tell me, hun! Don’t be scared!” she humored, “What makes you think you’re going to get a better view than me from your little God when he decides to wipe you off the face of the net like the little speck of dust that you are.”

The generic navi shifts from one side to the other and back again. Yami's rambling was no where near as interesting as his own. Faith: noun; confidence or trust in a person or thing. He gestures back to her. Because the flock has it, and you, among countless others, lack it. We are spared because we strive to be more righteous! We offer salvation on a silver platter and are scoffed at. A perfect example of why your view will be looking up at Duo and his followers while your world; both digital and real, crumbles, and mine won't.
He shifts once more. Lowering his hand and cross his arms. If you require logic of my mentality. Duo casts judgement on worlds found wanting. An admirable goal yes. Now no world is corrupt wholly. It's not unheard of for a select few to be spared. You understand, maybe? he tosses the question out. Yami had been so extravagant in her would-be logic raincloud that he wasn't sure if she would.

*Delusional at its finest right there. Or maybe the person had a point and was not just delusional? Duo certainly did not spare the unworthy and he was still right about Faith. He had managed to get to the end of his rant with Yami so that was fine. He didn't need to tell her that it was absolutely going to happen again since the myths were real. She'd find that one out the hard way. Instead this was a curious matter, something that probably would have been ignored before. Scoffed at, as the cultist said. Rather than do so he would try to see it from his point of view. Duo had helped them as much as he could before. Arguably because the threat would terminate him too, but still.*
"No world is pure or corrupt wholly, true. So if we were to repent and have faith, to convert to your flock, we would be spared? How does one go about that?"

“I don’t.” Yami shook her head as she tossed her hands up dismissively, “No joke, no game. No riddle on top of a musical note from a little fiddle! I just don’t get you people!”
The female spun around on her heel as she looked around to not just the heretic. It was everyone that was making her feel like she was in a mad house! There was this golden walking statue who seemed to have amnesia trying to put his life back together, these two that were trying to find their own self-sense of justice through their little ONB associates, and then...the nutcase. Oh! Goodness gracious! The nutcase!
“You put your...’faith’...in some beings that hide themselves amongst the code then come back and render judgment. You all believe so much in others and your little crusades for justice. I have no room to talk; I stay in limbo...and I had my ‘faith’...but it was not in any of this stuff.” her eyes narrowing as she folded her arms, “It’s in the promise of business! Contracts! Obligations! The judicial system and its scales of justice that delivered when any liar or oath breaker dared reeled their head. Even in The Zoo, there was a promise that the world would correct itself through the people who desired and sought information.”
Yami, at this point, was obviously hiding her depression...poorly. Her one drive in life was taken: her business! Although the traces and remnants were still about, and Ms. Belladonna was probably making contacts, associates, and trying to recover her loses, it felt like a waste of time! What good did it do being satisfied in her little bubble if someone were to take away from her like they had done so today?
It was aggravating...waiting for someone more strong to take something from you at a whim.
“So, tell me,” Yami said folding her arms. A straight face as she seemed seriously inquiring the heretic, “What would it take for your....God...to spare me.”
She retained a straight face still; her tone just as serious. Was she buying all this?

Who were all these people? Why were they here? And why in the world can't they seem to get their heads straight? The only thing Deimos did know is that he was tired of the Cultist's ramblings from the minute he opened his mouth.
In one swift motion, Deimos spins in a circle, grips the bottom of his cane, and swings the handle into the side of the cultist's jaw.
"That was your warning..." Deimos growled, gripping the handle again. He presses a small button on the side the handle, and a small hissing noise bursts from his cane. The symbols and inscriptions on the metal walking stick quickly separate, forming out longer and longer, coiling on the floor. In a split second, it had gone from a cane to a large whip, adorned with sharp metal shards all the way to the end. "Leave now, or you'll get what's really coming to you..."

For reasons unknown, perhaps due to the constant ranting raving and appearances of people, Midas disappeared. But perhaps it was for the best if he couldn't get a word in inch-wise. Oh well, he had heard enough to start searching else where for his answers.
But in his stead, a twenty something stone statue came crashing down nonchalantly RIGHT in the midst of everyone. Yup- and when I say crashing I mean it just appeared out of thin air, and fell. It did not infact crash through the ceiling of the tunnel because that could have dire consequences.
The statue was infact a dormant navi, Golem by name. But the lack of life and glowing eyes was an indication that he wasn't even all there right now. Which was good, because then it wouldn't matter one way or the other if he was ignored.
