Before he knew what was going on, Jinko felt something holding onto him. Then he remembered, it was the girl that he was trying to protect. He noticed that she was crying, and he didn't want to be the cause of her pain, so he stopped his attack, and turned to her.
Jinko: Alright, let's go, this place isn't really safe for you. But, you really should rest.
Then he turned back to Embera, giving her a quick glare before walking off towards the building from earlier.

Oh, she would be grateful, grateful to the heavens above that it had worked. The darkness fading, the building of power within dwindling, Jinko had called off the attack and had relaxed, but only only a smidgin.
*Why..why is he still on guard?..still very tense?..*
"Alright, let's go, this place isn't really safe for you. But, you really should rest."
Phoebe looked up, with concern and care in her jewels, but not for herself. Oh no, that was the last thing on her mind. Weak? Yes. Drained? Absolutely. Any concern about herself? Not at all!
"But, Jinko Sir, what about the others?"
Attention then shifted to the fierce navi at heart with a small curtsy to follow.
"I may not know you Ma'am, but thank you for helping me...I appreciate it...I do hope to become a great healer someday...and in reply to your question earlier Ma'am..I heal, because I care. I care for life, and although it may not account for much, I wish to aid others...Ma'am I may not know your name, but..if you wish to know mine, it is Phoebe.."
All the while, pure fear and terror enveloped her being, trying to hide it the best she could. Phoebe at least wished to be a friendly acquaintance with the Solar Empress. The Maiden did not wish to spark a fuse with the Solarian navi, and hoped that she did not cause offense to her in any way...she hoped..

Rielis watched as Jinko, enraged by the way Embera had handled the other girl, decided to do the fool hardiest thing he could think of, he actually moved to strike her back. He could tell based on how Embera had acted just a moment ago that this was the worst move he could have made. Luckily for himself, before he had managed to get him self killed, the maiden wrapped her arms around him from behind, pleading that he stop.
It seemed to work, he stopped and based on what he said, planned to move to a different area and take the girl with him. He chuckled slightly, was everyone here so foolish? Phoebe turned her voice to Embera, and seemed to disregard the way she was treated completely, trying to smooth things over maybe. At least she seemed to have a better head on her shoulders then the other two, if even a bit too trusting. He had no reason to butt in farther in that regard, but he did say his opinion to Jinko over what he had almost done.
"Ha. You think this place isn't safe for her? I would say with how you act she isn't safe period around you." his mind now said, he awaited a reply from either of them before leaving, interested in at least hearing if they had a retort for him.

As the navis on the shore continued to endlessly blather through their petty arguments, the massive ship sped ever closer to the shore, with no signs of stopping. By the time the screaming of the passengers was audible over the crashing waves, it was too late for the inattentive ones on the beach. The bow of the ship ran violently aground, kicking up massive clouds of sand as it tore the shoreline to shreds.
The huge wedge of metal slammed into the bipolar girl, the darkened navi, and his companion, mercilessly smashing them into the ground and crushing them under its weight, even as the keel ripped them apart.
JINKO.EXE DELETED PHOEBE.EXE DELETED EMBERA.EXE DELETED
As the bow made landfall, the stern of the ship began to rotate due to the slight angle at which the impact with the shore had occurred. It slammed into a rocky outcropping, which punched a large hole in its hull. As the ship continued to move forward and twist, the hole expanded to a mighty gash. Water flooded in at a blindingly quick rate, and the sudden insurge, paired with the tides, slowed the ship to a stop and then pulled it backwards into the ocean.
The stern began to sink beneath the waves, as those screaming passengers which had survived whatever calamity had sent the ship out of control - and the subsequent crash - rushed up to the rising bow, fighting against gravity, gripping the railings in a desperate struggle with the ever-steepening angle of the deck. Some held strong, others could not. They skidded down the deck like a slide into the turbulent waters beneath, as the ship continued its fall to the sea floor. But their hearts will go on and on.

Rielis had not seen the ship until it was too late, his attention on the small group he found himself with. As the ship crashed into the scene, he found himself sprayed with sand, as the ship narrowly missed him by inches, though ended up seemingly to crush the others. His lucky day he assumed, as any closer and he would have joined them. The waves that followed ended up pulling the ship back, allowing it to start to sink to its watery grave, and leaving Rielis rather water logged from the unexpected tide.
...Fools deserved it... he mindlessly commented. He looked out and watched the ship begin to sink, not moving to act at all, almost absorbed in watching the scene unfold.

In a brilliant flash of light to outdo the faint twinkling specks arriving from their slumber above, the Maiden was there once more. Her feet no more in pain, her body no more weakened but a strengthened resolve to bind bleeding wounds and broken hearts. Phoebe saw the destruction of the coastline and the devastation of passengers; their fear-filled and shaken selves.
She was thankful for a painless death, she just hoped that while Jinko and Embera were deleted that their pain was little and their suffering nil. Phoebe just continued to blame herself in the inside for the whole catastrophe, she should have seen it coming but alas, she did not and there were those who needed attending to before her.
She was about to summon her power of flight when she saw that it was not really needed. No one thankful was killed due to the incident, and those who had flown overboard, plunging into the sea below were either in shallow water or in areas where it did not require that much effort to swim to golden sand. Still, perhaps there were passengers aboard who needed some healing or a guiding hand. Whatever the case, the Maiden was about to offer her assistance to the captain of the vessel, when she turned to look.
It had seemed she had appeared next to the Jester, but something had change within him. Yes, physically he was the same, but in terms of presence and the aura of the navi, he was a complete opposite. Serious, stoic and stern, this side of Riely was far more determined and focused.
*Perhaps not to upset him I should call him by his full name*
"Ummm, Rielis Sir..do you need any help, Sir?"

Rielis kept his gaze on the scene at sea, Phoebe's revival caused him to glance at her briefly die to the flash of her reemergence, but he quickly turned back to watch the boat slowly sink deeper and deeper. He wondered what caused the boat to crash...there seemed to be no real notable reason, unless the boat its self had some sort of malfunction.
His comtemplation was broken by Phoebe's soft voice asking him a simple question. Did he need help. Help? he pondered. There is no way to help me achieve what I want. his thoughts remained his, not yet speaking. Seconds pass in silence between the two, only the sound of the ocean, and the shouts from the wreckage at sea reaching their ears.
"Help? he finally said, breaking the spell of silence. "The one thing I want is unattainable. So no not really." he replied, deciding to share his musings with her. He didn't want any help, and his reply he hoped got that message across. His mind went back to pondering about the ship, and what could have caused it to crash as it did.

[bgcolor=000055] “Watch me stand my ground; Watch me budge not a foot!” _______________________________ “Thank goodness they’re okay.” The thought trailing through Megami’s head, regardless of the events that just transpired.
She was narrowly missed by the ship unlike the other figures, but they seemed okay nonetheless. Megami, standing by Phoebe’s side and Demi whom had flown from the degenerated squid carcass, had simply kept afloat at the head level by the Goddess-like NetNavi. They were not exactly benefiting from the conversation considering that they had a mission to find out why Megami’s presence on the network was suddenly suspicious to the officials. However, she could not help but notice Riely’s predicament.
“There is no impossibility, but rather rising difficulty,” Megami quoted a certain little innocent girl’s words, “Surely, may the time come, we may be of assistance to find what you’re searching for, yes?” Megami asked. ______________________________ “All while you stand behind me as I turn this page.” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ” Hyakumankai Sukida to Itte” by JinnIC Attire: Megami:: Poseidon’s SecretChatty Ditz: -----

Having evidently not taken any lesson from recent events, the remaining navis on the beach continued to blather endlessly while ignoring the tragedy occurring right next to them. Hundreds of digital people died in the salty depths, silently cursing the legacy of those nearby who failed to mount a rescue.
As the ship sank deeper and deeper, most of it disappeared into the sea, sliding down in a graceful, smooth manner unfitting of the terror and chaos around it. And then, suddenly, there was a loud THUD and the ship tiled over to one side, falling over into the water below like a tower knocked off its foundation. Many of the fighting to stay afloat were crushed by the sudden collapse, which produced a massive splash that flung water onto the shore.

Rielis kept his stoic expression as he watched the ship continue its plunge to its watery grave. A normal person may have charged in and tried to do some fool hardy thing such as try rescueing those they could. But Rielis was definately not normal. Two extremes, like two sides of a coin. He cared not for helping those, that couldn't even keep calm enough to try to rescue them selves. How hard would it truely be to swim to shore? It wasn't THAT far out...
But he digressed in his thoughts, letting a period of time to pass before he replied to megami who had walked up and added her opinion to the conversation...if one could call it that. "I doubt you have the power to split a soul. Thus I say it is impossible to assist me in what I desire."
He grew tired of the scene before him, turning he began walking away from the coast line, letting the two girls do what they wish. He had no intentions on playing hero for no gain.

As the desperate victims of the sinking swam for the shore, some were pulled under the water by an unseen predator like berries being picked off a bush. There would be a final shriek of startled anguish before they disappeared beneath and were silenced. As the group realized the threat below, a panic spread through their midst. Horrified navis climbed on top of one another in an effort to keep themselves out of the unknown hunter's reach - a brutal self-preservation tactic that forced others' heads under. Every man for himself. These attempts were futile. Even those who had clawed their way to the top fell victim to the creature of the deep as their own victims were dragged down. In less than a minute the crowd had thinned dramatically. Those who remained overexerted themselves in their frenzy, using up the last of their energy long before making landfall. Some passed out and were eagerly snatched, others weakly floundered in the tide but offered little resistance to their fate. The beast was coming closer and closer to the shore, following the line of survivors swimming for land. But as it overshot the man closest to shore, it became clear that this horrific thing was not stopping. At first there was a lull - a relative calm filled only by the sobbing and moans of those left drifting. The creature's position was as uncertain as the future of those still afloat. Waves crashed against the beach in their soothing rhythm - nonchalantly, mockingly. Somewhere a naïve soul breathed a sigh of relief. Then the monster shattered the surface, rocketing up through the waves. Beads of saltwater went flying off its huge, powerful form - a scaled, humanoid body at least 16 feet tall and bulging with muscles. Three grey crests topped its head, which was equipped with angry red eyes and a menacing snarl. It was wearing a one-piece bathing suit on its lower body - one that was plainly too small and stretched to its limit, as if the beast had spontaneously outgrown it. He had a thick, powerful tail with a split fin on the end, which thrashed violently through the air. With a quick glance around the area, the monster let out a mighty roar at the navis on the beach. Thanks to iScribble user "~JMoar!" for the crude sketch I turned into this crude sprite.

Even as his data was being reassembled, Jin knew something bad was going to happen. He didn't know what it would be, but he knew it would involve someone close to him. Then, when he came to, he saw it. The hulking mass of scales, fins, and teeth.
Jin: Um...hey....maybe we should pay attention to the huge shark monster thing.
Even as he said this, he readied his blade, preparing to take any action necessary to prevent his friend from being hurt by this thing. As his blade rested in his hands, his partner sprung out of it as a beam of light at first, then as reformed into an imperfect duplicate of him.
Jin: This guy looks mad, and will likely cause a lot of destruction if we don't stop him.

Their agony, their pain, their endless suffering it seemed from the monstrous creature harmonize into one thunderous cry after another. Each with a soprano shriek, follow by a alto plea of one type or another.
*Why..why were these pain-filled cries so familiar..to my own?*
Windows glossed over as rapid remnants of memories flashed before her. Frame suddenly still like a statue made of pale marble and that sweet natural blush of hers almost gone as if pasted over with foundation.
Pain... Electric shots.... Repeated... Dark hands... Blood... Data... Murmurings and hushed whispers... Darkness plaguing the room...
*Why..what is going on?..*
As quickly as the memories, no, more like fragments of a horrid nightmare, came they left in a flash with more questions that answers left behind. Leaving the world of the mind, Phoebe snapped out of her trance-like state and in absolute brilliance, those ethereal wings made their appearance to the world of the Net. True, she was not the strongest there nor the best at defense or speed, but she would do all in her power to help, even sacrifice her life to save the others. She just hoped and prayed to the heavens above that her friends would be kept safe from harm and danger..
In response to Jinko's statement came the quiet reply:
"Indeed Jinko Sir. And we must help those that we can.."

[glow=white,2,500]*As the people stood on the beach, rumbling could be heard underfoot. Tremors resounding throughout the beach. Soon, the upper half of a figure emerged from the ground, gasping in as if to suck up the world.*
Embera: AIR! I need air to LIVE!!!
*Embera began spitting up sand everywhere and catching her breath. Wrestling almost all of her body out, she looked at cyan staring her in the face. Confronted face to....well...let's not say...Embera spazzed out and blasted at the tights of the creature before sprinting backwards towards Rielis. Exasperated and spastic, Embera began wiping her face and yelling with disgust.*
Embera: Aw man...I think it touched me, ew hew hew...
*Soon after, Embera engulfed herself into flames. As she burned, she kept turning the heat up until a five foot radius of the beach practically glassed over. After a quick instant, she dropped the heat and extinguished herself. Shaking her hand and face, she muttered to herself loudly.*
Embera: Baptism by fire and I still don't feel clean enough...darn boat needs to do a better job next time...aw man that was so gross.[/glow]

Rielis had not gotten far before the splashing and screams stilled his progress. Normally, and as was seen already, he was fairly stoic facing the death of others...but something...like a presence sent a chill down his spine, halting his step. He remained still as the sounds grew louded, and what ever caused the chill approched.
As the shark man thing launched out of the water, and landed onto the beach, even with the sand absorbing the landing, the ground still seemed to shake ever so slightly underfoot, only to be followed by a loud roar as it scanned the beach for its next victim.
After the roar, Rielis turned back, looking at the towering monster that had arisen from the deep. He started forward, back towards the girls he had just walked away from, and the newly reformed Jinko. He stopped a few feet behind them as Jinko spoke, and Phoebe suffered her night mareish state. He didn't notice what had happened, but took time to respond to Jinkos statements.
"You mean like how you should have been paying attention to the boat that ran you down? And you have quite a grasp of the obvious there, what ever would we have done with out you bringing that to attention..." Rielis said, his voice laced woth venom at the end. He definately wasn't trying to make friends, and had no problems sayjng exactly what was on his mind.
It was around this time Embera was reborn...by sand...and had her "random encounter", leading to the little fire show and her exasperation of not being able to cleanse her self to her satisfaction. He figured t was only natral given tbe situation. Poor girl.
But thus far, no real action had been taken, and he certainly wasn't in the mood to allow an enemy blitzkrieg, he would lead the strike if he had too. "Alright then. Enough crap. I am in a foul mood and I have a target to vent frustration at. I asvise you all either join in the fun, or leave now if you are a coward." he said, his voice taking on a more militant tone. He wasn't usually one to lead others, strangers no less...but he knew alone he stood little chance likely against the beast.
Rielis searched through his weapon banks, and was disapointed to find it filled largely again with useless clutter. But he did happen to find a chip data that seemed useful. Activating it, his hands glowed with white orbs enveloping them, as two pistols formed, one in either hand. Reading thebspecs they while not powerful in their own right, fireds shots that would weaken the hit party. Tranqs of sorts....t works. he thought. Leveling the pistols at the sharkman, he scanned his eyes over the beast, trying to determine the best place to aim, in the end he aiked for the head, the face specifocally. Head shots already worked right?
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
Four shots, and the guns were out, he expected more, but he couldn't complain. The grouping was all aimed at the creatures eyes and nose reigion, and if he was lucky, it might do more then piss it off...
