[bgcolor=black]Days after the brawl in the downtown area had done much to restore some kind of peace. Even if half of the district had been eradicated. A gentle breeze caught some bits of dirt and other miscellaneous fragments and pulled them into the air.
*plop*
Right where she had been deleted Xeel popped back into the network in a laid back seated position, her elbows supporting her. She opened her eyes and shot some quick glances side to side. 'Did that really happen?' she thought to herself, As she noticed the leveled streets around her. 'Guess so. It doesn't explain why I'm here though.'
Her eyes caught Static kicking some soot around Hmm. Maybe he knows. Xeel pushed off the ground and onto her feet, then closed the solid 20ft gap between herself and Static with one leap(It was actually two, but no one could keep up).
Explain something to me. Completely uncaring of this navis situation, name, or why he was kicking the way he was.
Why is it when I died I came back? Right to the point. This was no time to be coy, clever, or subtle. This was important. Of course 'dieing' on the net was being deleted. But Xeel had never cared to use proper terminology if she could help it.

(Long before the battle) *Corrosion arrived into the city with a small back around his arm. Slowly walking through the area, he happened to come across a darkened alleyway extending to what appeared to be a blackened abyss. Grinning at the area, he walked through the path. Seeing a shady navi with a wily grin on his face, he threw a large sum of zenny on the table.*
Corrosion: I'm getting back in the business, so I'll be taking all your wares for this amount of cash.
*Seeing it come off as a bit of a threat, the navi conceded, wanting to avoid any unfortunate ONB interruptions. Before long, however, explosions rocked the city. He couldn't find the source after the area was obliterated, and made his way back to the Undernet until he remembered what he forgot....Static. Searching all around Element City, Corrosion couldn't find Static until he got back to the crater-site. Overhearing Xeel talking to him, he gave a hearty, yet somehow raspy laugh.*
"Corrosion": My my, you're younger than you look to not understand. Listen, child...
*Corrosion coughed up the sick liquid again, forcing the soot to even bubble down into nothingness.*
"Corrosion": When a navi is killed, their data is scattered, with a point of origin far off. Now, each byte of that data needs to return to the point of origin in which your data reassembles. Case in point: It is very difficult for a navi to stay entirely dead forever.

[bgcolor=black]Xeel turned her gaze to Corrosion while he spoke and blinked twice. Each word the navi spoke sounding more outlandish and stupider than the last.
Yeah okay that's stupid. Who would put bounties on navis if they'll just come back. This completely defeats the point of several professions.
The dismissive navi stretched her arms straight up and let out a small 'hmph' before letting them drop to her sides.
Back where I'm from, when you're put down you stay down. This new net's 'not staying deleted' garbage is just... I don't even. She shook her head as she finished. Completely ignoring the fact that the very aspect she was insulting just brought her back from oblivion.

"Corrosion": Because re-routing that point of origin allows for transport of deleted navis. "Dead or Alive" really translates to "Get them where we want them by any means necessary." And besides, the very aspect you're insulting just brought you back from oblivion, ya know...
*Running his hand under his hood to scratch his head, the smell of melting flesh could be smelled as Corrosion brought out his hand to heal again. Giving a chuckle, however, he continued.*
"Corrosion": Y'know, there was a time when deleted navi's data were just...poof made life simpler, that's for sure...
*Wheezing, but managing to not regurgitate, he managed to recollect himself.*
"Corrosion": Sounds like you either need to come to terms with it, or take up a new profession...

[bgcolor=black]Yeah whatever. I died before and came back I'd have found a way this time too. It's what I do. She paused to give a small grin and raise an eyebrow, before thoughtlessly continuing to add to Corrosions comment on deletions. Yeah it did. Made my life a lot easier at the vault. Less wanna-be's trying to take the prize n' all that.
erm. ...Anyway, I've no plans to do either of those things. Thanks for the info on this backwards time. More surprisingly that she had never noticed anyone she had previously deleted walking around. Though she had never bothered to look at her targets more than required for the job, much less commit them to memory after the fact.
Just as she finished speaking a beam of faded blue light enveloped Xeel and she vanished along with the ray an instant later.
In cliche fashion. [Xeel -> Wherever]

"What was all that about?"
Before Static has time to react, Xeel is there, then gone. Static looks towards Corrosion, wondering what exactly just happened.

While still in the same area where the incident occured, it was several blocks away from where corrosion and static were currently. It began as sand on the wind, slowly piling up against the wall of a building, growing and taking more shape as it continued. Slowly the form of the ex desert warrior began to take shape once again.
It took a full minute for the process to finish, but finally he was complete. With a sligbt groan he shifted, then opened his eyes, staring into the sky over head. The hell... ran through his mind. He had a blank in his memory it felt like...he was hunting for that blue haired navi,.and then...something...
He shook his head, and slowly climbed to his feet, trying to remember something to explain why he was found laying on the street. No dice though, nothing came to him yet, until that his his gaze fell upon the edge of the results if the battle that had taken place while ago. Suddenly memories came back, he remembered encountering AD, and willingly embracing the call of the life virus again...and that slowly he lost control...
Wait... he mumbled out loud. He was normal again...did he win? Did they beat him and leave him to die? He couldn't remember the end, just that slowly the virus was gaining more and more control of his body.
But enough of that. It wasn't of upmost importance...he remembered vaguely that as far as he knew, his target hadn't been killed, so he had to find him, or his trail again at least. He pulled out a small device, not unlike what Wave had eatten before, though this was much more limited. Instead of scanning for him its self, had it comunicate with his main console back at his fortress of semi solitude. That would be faster then trying to search himself anyway. Now to wait on the results...

*beepbeepbeep*!!!
Rikaru's device showed a cyan-like display of data to the right of where it displayed his own location.
If he were to turn his head to see what it was, he would've noticed a bright-blue, rubix-cube-esque object that was constantly shifted itself while floating slightly above the ground inside of a globe-shaped shell composed of nigh-transparent hexagon shapes.
*beepbeepbeep*!!![/i][/color]
The Scanner beeped again. Another blue dot showed up on the screen, somewhere to the rear of his position.
*beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep*!!![/b]
Several other's sporadically showed up all over the screen now.
These orbs were fragments of Wave's data, it would seem. While gathering them would take little more than ten minutes, it was vital that Rikaru pieced every part of the scattered, protected cyan rubix-cube things in order to reconstruct Wave.
The orbs weren't going to gather on their own, though. Self-regeneration wasn't natural to the data.
Without Rikaru's intervention, Wave's deletion would be permanent.[/color]

Rikaru frowned as his device beeped at him, he didn't expect such a quick result. The reason though was quickly apparent, as whem he looked at where it said the location was, it was practically next to him! Turning away from the screen he looked at the strange data that was floating there in front of his eyes. Apparently he wasn't so safe from the battle after all...
He looked back to his screen, and watched as several more signals appeared as well. He figured his data wasn't able to restore it's self like most navi's now a days. If he was lucky, maybe he could get the data and turn him in still for the reward. Holding the device in his left hand, he moved towards the rubix cube like data, and quickly compressed it to a small mini mystery data. He figured he could add the other pieces to the data and figure out a way to restore the guy back home. So he set out on his quest to gather the rest of wave, following his tracker of sorts and collecting as he went. Hopefully no surprises would interupt him This time.

When all of the fragments were finally gathered, they merged together into a single, large, atom-like collection of cyan energy.
A rotating, glowing, light blue orb made up the center of the data, while hundreds of much smaller orbs would orbit around the larger one at different angles, and at speeds of about one hundred cycles per second.
But beyond that, nothing happened.
Despite the fact that all of the remnants had been collected, the data was still unable to naturally restore itself, so it was nothing more than a core of a navi that once was but no longer is. It had endless potential in its current state, but without being given a frame or a function, the data would remain useless and become nothing more than an object of wasted potential.

Rikaru stopped and stared at the now completed...sorta...core of Wave. It wasn't regenerating his body like he thought it would...and he didn't think they pay for bounty heads with no body...or at least a way to send the data when they respawn to their prisons.
He examined the data silently for several moments, then finally decided he would be better able to figure out what to do to fix this oddity at his home. Storing the data briefly, he typed in a few commands via his small device, and slowly a ring of energy surrounded him on the ground. The energy then enveloped his body, and in a flash his body vanished, a beam streaking across the sky towards sharo...

*The man watched as Xeel left with a faint smile on his face. She had drive, and he appreciated the sight of that. Shaking his pouch and turning away, he gestured to Static, as if calling him over.*
"Corrosion": I've two places left to go, that should have the chips I need before we go back to the Undernet. You can join if you'd like, but it's up to you.
*The man walked onward, coughing every so often as he trudged forward with a smile on his face, knowing he'd be getting his business back in order, soon.*

"Well, that leaves me with a lot of options. . ."
Static decided that wandering from place to place and being attacked by random psychos who obviously haven't been properly educated on the nature of the internet wasn't the best course of action, so he decided to warp out, fading from existence whilst 'snowflake' visual noise sparked outward and took his place.

Blade walks around the Cyber-Net, confused on this new place, trying to find something to destroy.
"Where's a Net-Navi to help when you need one. . . I don't know anything about this place. . . Blade searches around, getting frustrated wanting a little help in this heap of Data. Was there anyone to to help him?
"If I don't get some help right now, I'm going to just start blowing stuff up to attract help."

"You need some help?" said a mysterious navi with glowing red eyes who had seemingly appeared from nowhere. His white and grey cloak seemed slightly burned, and some of the charred areas were glowing, indicating the burns were probably fresh. Under the spots of the cloak that were burned completely off one could see the skin-tight suit adorned by most navis, in the colour black. In certain areas one could see a strange blue pulsating liquid be transferred by white tubes, although much was left to the viewer's imagination. This 'burnt' looking navi stared hard at Blade, which would make it difficult to look back, despite the navi's visor diffusing much of the light from his eyes. This mysterious navi may seem friendly, but even still, his intentions are unclear.
