(( There's still time to join! Post here by tomorrow at around the same time to not get docked rewards. This is just to keep in order who's around and what not.)) [bgcolor=black] A portal opens before each of the selected navis, rips open from nowhere, to open unto a place made of nothing. Darkness lies inside. Not... visible darkness... but... tangible darkness, darkness of the spirit, darkness that pierces the core, true darkness darkness darkness.
Beyond the portal, something stirs.
You feel a tug, as though something is being taken from you. Nothing else is nearby. In fact, the area you were just in seems to have gone gray, stopped still.
And suddenly, a voice speaks, booming, ultimate, uttering words with such divine power that you cannot possibly disobey, Darkloids, Lightmongers, or Neutrals alike.?: STEP FORWARD, YOU WHO HAVE BEEN CHOSEN. STEP FORWARD INTO THE DARKNESS. STEP FORWARD AND KNOW THIS: YOUR TASK IS DIFFICULT. KNOW THIS: YOU CAN SUCCEED. Your voice is spoken, but behind it are nearly twenty others, including the Armored Destroyer's true name, but they are all far too obscured by the the one pressing name - your own.YOU WHO ARE CHOSEN ARE...

The strange occurrence forces Jasit to jump back and pull a dagger as he turns toward the portal. However, nothing immediately occurred other than the sudden graying of the area around him. The difference was noticed immediately and the tug that ate something from him left the navi curious and cautious. Something lay beyond the sudden rend in the net, a real of darkness...nay, darkness of a kind far beyond simple darkness...The azure assassin stood straight as the voice crashed through the area and his eyes closed while he listened. It was a job? Something for him to do, a task he was given and was said to be difficult. Difficult? Perhaps, but that would not deter the assassin, rewards would surely come from something difficult, and that was what he was made to obtain. With no hesitation the navi stepped forward and through, his cloak billowing behind him and entering the portal last.
Meanwhile, Mirage was sitting within an empty space of his own before the portal made itself clear to him out of nowhere. The sand navi raised a brow at the occurrence, not disturbed in the least by the darkness that lay beyond. He had belonged close enough to darkness in a way before and would have reached this point had he let it, yet now he was freed of such things. Yet here was darkness again coming to claim him in its purest form. Or perhaps not? The booming voice made Mirage stand on his own two feet as it spoke to him, the interest worming its way into the navigator's mind. A task? Very well, there was little else to do anyways...In moments this navi, too, stepped forward to see what called.

Embera laid asleep upon Scruffy's back, unaware of the portal. She trusted her virus to take her to where she needed to be.
--------------------------------
Ran trotted over to naMkcaB and waved to him. He was glad the rookie could make it.
Ran: Hello, BackMan! Glad to see you could make it! The name's Ran, I've been part of the ONB in Sharo for a while, high-five!
*Ran gestures his hand to Namk awaiting a high-five.*

((OOC: lolz, guys. No need to write EXE.naMkcaB. It's Namkcab.EXE/Namk.EXE :P Just to let ya know.))
Namkcab felt the urge to leap into the portal when another interrupted in his train of thought. The navi said his name was Ran, and Namkcab had seen him wandering around the Sharo ONB. he quietly returned the high-five, leaving Ran's hand pink and tender. Namkcab greeted back, then motioned to the deathly portal. Without waiting anymore, Namkcab sank into the evil portal, leaving Ran to walk in as well.
----------------------
Farther back, Aluminum stood, his faithful companion Yaiba floating slightly in front of him. Feeling an evil presence inside, Aluminum's face hardenend. Arms crossed, he and his virus slowly walked to the portal entrance. Once near, Aluminum broke into a wide grin and yelled "YEEEEEEE-HAAAAWWW!!!!!!' and front-flipped into the mass of shadows. Yaiba followed his master.

[[What's 6/21? Only pattern I notcied ith those numbers is that there's 21 navis on the list, and Fayt's name is 6th? >.>]]
Warrior steps fearlessly into the portal. There was already plenty of darkness shrouding his heart, before this thing became visible. And now more darkness? Confident in his ability, he knew he could succeed. The voice in his head was just a confirmation.
But as he stepped forward, a hand grabbed him by the shoulder. It was his other half-- his lighter half. The Remnant of his light.
[W]: "I suppose you're here to stop me. To help me avoid this darkness?"
[R]: "No... I'm here..."
As the Remnant spoke, he removed his hand from Warrior's shoulder and stepped beside him, looking the twin navi in the eye.
[R]"...To help you."
Shrugging, Warrior took a step in front of the Remnant. His pride was gettign the best of him again.
[W]: "I can do this alone..."
The Remnant smiled while stepping beside Warrior, yet again.
[R]:" But you don't have to. Darkness is not a force to be reckoned with. With the two of us together-- each of us half of an original navi.. We can do this."
That was... actually pretty deep. And Warrior actually agreed. Simultaneously, as if with one mind, both navi stepped through the portal without fear.

... It's how many people are present and accounted for. I'll edit this into an intro in a bit.
The call beckoned him, for reasons his own, he pursued with no second thought. Each of his steps were pure silence, the bleak surrounding even wearing the rest the most 'lively' of steps into a hopeless dread as they wallowed into a coil on the floor. His coat's hood masked his face, as typical did when Jax was feeling unsociable.
----
Meanwhile, Strikeman was having quite the dilemma. He wanted to enter, truly, but he just wasn't diggin' the 'spooky' voice.. even if it was his own.
He told a ghost story once at the ONB during standard bi-monthly lock down procedure to the other scientists, and Pumpman. Even then his spooky voice sucked royally. It didn't sound ominous nor terrifying.. This was just a cruel reminder of his inability to tell decent stories.
He shrugged. If the voice wanted him to go into some spooky, dark, dank, possibly damp.. and fatal looking passage.. then so be it, who was he to question it? He so sarcastically thought to himself as he nonchalantly strut forward, acting super fly with each step; making finger gestures in every direction, even though no one was there..

Void blinks, resting a hand on the hilt on Endless, wary of the occurrences. He eyed the portal carefully, frowning at the feel of a tug. Gray...? What could possibly be happening This was... discomforting. Such uncertainty was plaguing him, making him unsure of what to do. The voice echoes, and the swordsman finds it difficult to disobey. Chosen? A task in darkness? But... He cannot help the desire to step forward. To follow through with what the voice asks of him. "Let me see what the darkness has in store..." the swordsman murmurs, stepping through into the portal. There was no use in turning away from this.
------------------------------------------
Tilting his head to the side, Syn watches the portal. It seemed like nothing was coming out to attack him. He feels the pull, blinking as he looks down at himself. A job it seemed. And no information was given? Difficult, but was something able to be conquered. With grin, the Reaper's eyes flash with energy. That was fine. A job was a job after all. He steps forward, entering the portal. This was his Element; what could he say if he turned down such a challenge? No fear to be shown, not even when faced with his name sake.

Glassman cracked his knuckles as his Candevil appeared next to him. He looked toward his partner with a grin and uttered a few words before entering the portal...
"Let's do this."
Fiera glanced around at the group of them that had been gathered. She knew that with such a diverse number of navis things could potentially get messy....very messy,if they found themselves clashing in strategies, that is.
The flame-wielder snapped her fingers, bringing her Mettaur -Bruce-into reality and walked into the portal, with the virus dashing after her.

The cloaked navi of destiny look at the portal with his usual neutral expression on his face. On the outside, he looked calm and unmoving. On the inside, however, he felt uneasy and nervous, something he hasn't felt for some time. He could sense a power unlike any other he has felt within the void. Iris peeks out from behind his shoulder. She looked exactly how she felt, afraid and wanting to leave. She looked up at Fayt and saw behind his hidden glasses how his eyes studied the dark portal with both weariness and intrigue. She knew that they were going in no matter what. Fayt looked down at his familiar and met her gaze. Iris gave a nerous nod and looked back at the void. He then looked behind him as Crask, his No. virus, appeared out of its pocket portal. Fayt took a deep breath before walking into the portal as Iris clutched his cloak and Crask went pack in its portal.

*The portal opens in the depths of the undernet, freezing time and taking MagicMan's attention instantly. Taken by an almost morbid curiosity, the aqua-blue Navi turns shining eyes to the portal and quietly stares for a moment, hearing the call as he does so*
MagicMan: ....hmm.
*Feeling almost as if no other choice were available, MagicMan quietly walks through the portal, fading from sight as he does so*
*Having been walking through the Electopian forest network with Guardian at his side, the Armored Destroyer suddenly stops a moment before anything happened and glances around quickly, feeling something out of the ordinary. Time freezes, the portal appears and Guardian quickly fades from sight in response. Looking to the portal in silence, the Destroyer's eyes narrow as he hears something that noone on the net should know at this point.... his own name. If for no reason other than this, the dark violet Navi quietly turns to the rift and enters in silence, prepared for whatever may come beyond the limits of the reality which he now leaves behind....*

Zherial heard the voice and gripped his massive axe. He didn't even know where he was and some random voice was commanding him?
"Enough..."
Zherial walked forward into the darkness, heading towards whatever was waiting for him.

[bgcolor=black] With 18 of the warriors inside, their portals close, leaving 3 open one-way doors from the real world.
The darkness moves slightly, and again there's a tug. This time it persists though, seems to draw you forward. On your peripheral, other fighters come into view - some grouped together, some asleep on a virus' back, others alone trapped with pensive thoughts. There's a rush of wind, it would seem, or perhaps it's merely the effect. Maybe it's the very darkness you had been feeling? There is no way to tell.
Minutes pass this way, images flash by and the ambient light begins to fade. Again without warning, the voice from earlier booms, but audibly quieter despite possessing the same timbre, as though there was now an infinite distance between you and its source:?: It is coming... be prepared. Fight with every ounce of strength, give no quarter to this foe.In itself it is not realistic, but the threat it represents is very. If it grows much further, the real entity may yet arise. Crush it now. Crush it now! In front of each navi, there's a blinding flash of light in the dark, the combined efforts of which prove enough to leave an afterimage of the land through which they are now being pulled:
Dark spires rise on every side, made of what can only at best be presumed to be bones. They peak amongst an endless swamp, the pathways through which have long since rotted away or merely been consumed. Battle scars mar what little land remains, and dotting the vile fen in several places are still-standing, barely glowing obelisks possessed of a strange inner light the likes of which have never been seen in the over-world.
Still further along, viruses can be seen, monsters in size: The deepest dwelling and oldest of the M-Classes, those that have been so steeped in the darkness that they have evolved their own form of DarkSouls. They are migrating away from the direction in which you are going, fleeing in such droves and with such a single-mindedness that those known for ferocity are even barely nudging those that they travel with.
And yet you continue to travel.
When the light finally dies, a single chip remains in front of each navi where it originated:
[Divinity Gate]-[SE]
A pure white chip that surrounds you with a holy light. - May be used to survive a single turn where the user was absent (from the MMM in its entirety) without taking any attacks. That turn, you cannot interact with the incoming attacks AT ALL and your damage is halved. Your rewards will be docked as though you entered late. This does NOT protect things summoned, ONLY the user. If you are confused on how this works, try being absent for a post and then using one. Just don't blame me for angry team mates. - Only usable in this Mission. [2/2]Finally, a plateau rises on the horizon at a terrifying rate, the darkness begins to wane into an eerie green light struck through with beams of purple and black, the corrupted essence of the area begins to burn into your very minds, and then...! Each navi is stopped an immense force only yard from the edge of the desecrated plateau. On the far side, barely visible across the vast distance, something glints, something dark, something red, something chaotic, something... something that should be years dead. The ground, nay, the entire area quakes in some mix of fear and power. Several pieces of the plateau are cast down. It cannot be heard when they land, perhaps only for a terrible voice, as strong and proud as the divinity heard before, but accursed, sickly, grotesque in every way it is possible for a voice to be grotesque. It speaks only three words. ?: THE BEAST AWAKENS. From everywhere around the navis, a laughter begins to echo, not born of the same voice that just spoke, but something truly present. The area quakes again, and the force holding you back begins to move, dragging them backward at pain to yourselves - the earlier force is still trying to drag you forward. Something gives. Something tears. It roots its grip at your very soul, it pulls, and the opposing forces disappear, you all land on the plateau, but barely. This couldn't have been a part of the plan... but there's no way of knowing. Floating behind you where your bodies were only moments before are 18 corresponding DarkSouls. Each grins malevolently, taunts its original with ever-damning malice, but none, evidently, can move. All at once they are swept away, combined into a single flame that whips forward over your heads and across the expanse. Again, the laughter, this time, much closer. As though it were... in you. ?: BRUWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAMocking, hating, powerful, deadly, mindless, omniscient, violating, corrupting, confusing, maddening it continues, and when you blink, even just change your attention, it is there in front of you. A single blue orb of flames. The hate radiates off of it, courses through your data, begins to infect you. Behind it are the numerous flames comprised of your very own DarkSouls. You know what to do. WARNING!
BATTLE ROUTINE, SET! (click)
