Her breath was short…the usual…
The flowers, the tall blooming branches that spurred green, and the grove that felt like it was leading her straight to a “Promise Land.” The scent of the area was filled with an artificial stench of purity and cleanliness that one would find only if they were lucky enough to fall straight into heaven. Not even Megami knew how lucky she was to stand in the vastness that most could not comprehend considering that the world around them had been washed away into a flurry of advanced cyber technology. However, the violet haired boy behind the monitor could only imagine just by looking outside his window which he cracked open for one of few times in his entire life.
“Green Area Network probably is just like Green Town itself,” he had said as a weak smile came across his face while gazing outside the window that cast rays of pure sunlight into his room, “I‘m only happy that we moved somewhere that can make me forget things...even just a little bit.”
Xenneth had said it, partly saddened, but he was nonetheless okay. Green Town was a beautiful place to live: it had such advanced technology, and specialized in combining two of the worlds most opposing forces in a just way, “Nature and Technology” and then let them take on the role of purveying “Law.” It was because Xenneth was such a peace loving person and he loved natural settings, the town was perfect for him! Unlike his life in Netopia, he had never witnessed such laid back settings, and it far supposed the hustle and bustle of random city folk simply knowing him as the child of a very lovely model.
One part of his life suddenly felt less depressing.
“Do not despair Xenneth-kun,” the young boy’s big blue eyes picking up as he set them on Megami’s smile as he heard her brilliant voice that caught his attention, “Forgetting is not a path to happiness, sad and happy memories both give us learning experiences and show how we have bettered ourselves. I think your preference to this new home you have in Green Town certainly shows you just how fortunate you are.”
Young Xenneth smiled…
The female NetNavi had always had her wisdom to share with the young boy. Even though she lacked knowledge about the world around her, she seemed to have a grasp upon just how simplistic life was, regardless of how people always said it was difficult within itself. There was crime, hate, and sadness; however, the young female always took them as just a suffering only for a season. By the end of that trial, she always convinced someone that they could smile, and with her around, Xenneth felt like a part of himself would always stay alive every since the mysterious NetNavi had came into his life…
…a hopeful part.
“Thank you, Megami-chan!” the young violet haired boy had replied with a giddy bounce of his shoulders, “In the meantime, why don‘t we walk around Green Town Network. I‘m sure there are some landmarks we can look at for this Network, and who knows, we may find some very good data that is lying around? I heard that the trees give some bountiful chip data!” the young boy had suggested making the female NetNavi smile in bliss.
“A wonderful idea, Xen-kun!” the young woman had said as she pressed her hands together and laid them upon the chest area of her bright green outfit for the forest stroll, “Let us ‘explore,’ yes?”
With a s mile and a nod, Xenneth had agreed as Megami had turned head and headed along the forest path. Her eyes open as she had laid them upon many aligning bushes of growing flowers of pink, blue, and red; while trees had towered over her making themselves size up like skyscrapers. It was like a city, but quiet and beautiful without losing its residence in the chaos.
It was a lovely sight, a truly marvelous place to live. ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Morning Glow“ from Final Fantasy X-2IC Attire: Magnificent StrollChatty Ditz: -- Topic Quotation: Megami‘s Thoughts

((OOC: I hope I'll do =), if your waiting/wanting some else just let me know. Otherwise we're all good, except that we're both very passive characters haha. Getting a fight going will be interesting in its own right XD))
A warm breeze wisped along the winding pathways that wove seamlessly amongst the vast array of vegetation within the Green Area Network. Carrying with it, all the promise of fruitful prosperity and safety ensured freedom, these warm strands of air also brought a gentle scent of roses to Ion before passing. Beneath the shade of a stand of particularly old trees, he lay in contentment. The ancient bark lying lightly beneath his head, as Ion studied the ever-changing sky overhead and the network as a whole. The cyber re-creations of clouds had become true replica's of Earth's own as humanity had progressed with their technology, even the forest embedded within this town had grown with the advancement of network technologies, and it now lay as a testament to not only human hands but navi's as well. The cooperation between two independent and sentient beings had lead to this wonderful evolution of a pseudo-world...no... not a fake world...an alternate one. As he lay in calm happiness and infinite curiosity of the natural world around him, memories of an old time returned to him in dazed recollection and muted wonder...
In a time long lost, a time that came before the Licensing System, before even the rise of Eon, there had existed a network not created from man's hands. The Forest Network of Electopia had been intimately connected to the Ancient Ruins and amongst these ruins had been hidden treasures of some network that had been spawned on its own or created from foreign minds. The rambling trails and unforgettable realism with which the network struggled to exist under intensifying scrutiny seemed to be mirrored in this town. Though this town existed under the pretense of combining nature and technology, two fundamental parts of human life that were once considered opposing rather than complementary, it carried with it a deep seated aura similar to that of the lost forest network. The network that had been lost with Eon's grandeur and sacrificed in the name of warning the world of the upcoming events; the network that had been Ion's home. Above all other places in the vastness of the web, Ion had held the Forest Network closer to his heart than any other location. The lure of losing oneself in infinite wandering, the drive to simply exist in harmony with the network and discover all of its innate nuances...that had drawn Ion to the Forest Network. No matter the mood or the trials that presented themselves to him, the natural world lived on in calming anticipation, it held deep within its realms the transcendence from the all consuming present time that Ion sought for clarity of mind. This is what Ion found in the natural setting that surrounded him once again, the simple pleasure of enjoying nature and all of its glorious interactions.
He was by no means hiding himself, and was only a short distance from the actual walking trails that had become popular attractions for both residents and tourists alike. Just off the beaten path enough to only catch fragmented sensations of navi's walking and their broken phrases occasionally wafting to him alongside the rose tinged scents, Ion shifted in place to make himself more comfortable amongst the roots that curled around him in tender embrace. Through the flowers and bushes that weakly obscured the trail view a joyful 'wonderful idea' and 'us 'explore'' drifted to him, and unfortunately he had missed out on Megami's wise words on life to Xenneth. Words that he too would agree with whole-heartedly, words that would have attracted his attention for the sheer rareness of such insight. The shattered sentence that managed to make it to him though caught him up in the happy tones that were carried with it and with a small smile to himself he rose from his comfortable enclosure for just a glance at the speaker. Curious by nature, Ion felt no discomfort or inconvenience in glancing up and down the pathways to find the origin or those words.
Rising to his feet and seating himself on a particularly high root, Ion gazed out over the grove and its paths, still smiling inwardly to himself as his reverie slowly faded in pursuit of more intriguing alternatives.5353

Even as she walked, oblivious of her words reaching far ears, Megami had been lost in this “heaven.”
The soft soil beneath her feet were like clouds, the rays of broken light that came between the rustling leaves had been the sanctuary’s purest light, and the winds had felt like they were the joy of fellows that caressed her skin and flowed through her chestnut colored hair. She had stepped lightly as if the land was sleeping and she wished to not disturb how beautiful it looked in its rest. She felt as if she stayed any longer, she would become drunk off this feeling and would never leave. A thought crossed her mind however that this feeling she should not be ashamed of. After all, this feeling told her that this place was her new ‘Home.’
“Such a wonderful feeling, Xen-kun!” Megami had said, “I understand how you ‘forget‘ in this type of place. It‘s ever so lovely!”
The feelings were awkward. As Xenneth watched Megami walk through the forest in bliss, he was a little taken away by words to know that someone understood his feelings, even if it was just about something like nature. Some would overlook such beauty in simplicity, reminding him just how well he did not fit in at his last school as a quiet student who became tongue tied. He could never say what he felt, nor was he good at description. He was one of those who could ‘show you better than he could tell you,’ but how closed off he was affected his performance to the point that he slipped up and usually embarrassed himself.
That was not the case with his friend, Megami…
She was patient to the point that time was nothing to her unless it was counting the moments that she was with or without something that she needed. If the NetNavi only had one desire, it was her friendships and bonds that she held close, and had no real materialistic values whatsoever as far as Xenneth saw. He said things to her that sounded terrible to his ears, but when she would smile and agree or elaborate, they sounded like genuine words and ideas. (Even though they were and he was not aware.) That’s just how close his friendship was with Megami, even though she was just a ‘NetNavi,’ programming, numbers, and values that were made by human hands, but for some reason, it did not feel like that.
“Isn‘t that right, Xen-kun?”
“Oh!”
He dozed off.
Shaking his head and trying to recover his thoughts, Xenneth had let his attention go to Megami who had now stood in the center of Green Area’s beaten path. His eyes had gone to the monitor connected to his P.E.T that supplied an excellent view of the NetNavi as if she was a maiden waiting for one’s approach. That’s at least how it seemed from the first person view of the camera, and to Xenneth, it was ever so inviting as he sat behind the screen in a chair behind his desktop. Nervously, he twiddled his fingers under the desk in his lap while his face burst into a ripe red blush.
“O-of course!” Xenneth had replied, “It feels like ‘home.‘ ” he had agreed passively as Megami giggled before turning around and walking along the path once more.
The young woman was relaxed. Even now she would usually feel out of place when it came to the cyber world, it’s make-up, and other NetNavis. She felt like she did not belong, but to call this place ’home’ made her feel as if she had a place within the Network. Everyone was different after all, but she was “far” from the indifference. She could not recall many memories even though she lived for a long while. She had not sought them out as she found fulfillment with her friendship with Xenneth. Slipping herself into his P.E.T and programming herself there, she had wanted the relationship of a NetOp and NetNavi seeing she had no other place to call her own. Even now, she did not regret her decision to stay with this boy and his pure soul.
“This place is my ‘home,’ just like others have their own ‘home‘ as well.”
Megami had thought, comforted by her apprehension of just what this place meant to her. ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Morning Glow“ from Final Fantasy X-2IC Attire: Magnificent StrollChatty Ditz: Don’t be silly! ((OOC: Thank you kindly Salem, its good to see you back and online =). ))
Feeling thee fine grain beneath his gauntleted hands as they pressed gently into the wood to support his lounging figure, Ion's eyes played across the emerald enclosure as the blissful tones of Megami's voice drew nearer, the sentiment only continuing to grow stronger.
Idly curling a small vine tendril around a finger, Ion's mind was drawn by the mysterious voice as strongly as the foreign texture of the vine stem. Ever-striving desire for something more than growth, how they were filled with youth and lively vigor, the paradoxical nature of bearing an ever-seeking yet immutable drive in life...these were all thoughts that filled Ion's mind as the parallels between such an meaningful piece of nature and the female's speech were drawn. He himself knew the power of these inexplicable passions, but like any other, was helpless when taken in by the allure born from ones own mind: from ones own heart.
In a sudden instant, Ion caught sight of Megami's figure. Standing out amongst the few idle visitors to the park, she seemed to glide with euphoric admiration and respect for the network. The chestnut hair that playfully wisped in with the warm breezes, and the casual dress took Ion by surprise as the attire was not common amongst most navi's. Granted styles had diversified and become more varied in recent years, the gentle grace and modesty that her walk alone eluded to were oddities even amongst modern times. As she strode down a curving trail to his left, approaching him with a fluid cadence, Ion couldn't help but feel compelled to speak with her. A hint of apprehension colored Ion's mind momentarily as he scarce wanted to ruin the heavenly reverie that she seemed to consumed with, yet in his explorations he had learned that happiness need not be interrupted, rather it had a tendency to spread and be shared.
As the rays of sunshine flickered around a view screen at her side, Ion felt slightly encouraged, there may be an Operator but that meant even more people to meet, perhaps even someone that Vince could talk with. He lived a far too solitary lifestyle for Ion's comfort. He needed friends like Ion had, not just dedication to his work and hobbies. In Ion's eyes Vince had been alone for far too long and was becoming consumed with distractions. Just like Ion he was a drifter who lived off of his own skills and out of a duffel bag but unlike Ion, Vince had failed to be social outside of work sites and research projects. He held no contract with family and Ion was the only person he could contact and would bother to check up on. Of course he couldn't make friends for Vince, but these intriguing ideas occasionally hit Ion in passing.
Finally deciding that he had procrastinated enough, and Megami was close enough that he wouldn't have to yell to be heard, Ion's friendly voice built on her final statement, "You've found yourself a truly beautiful home...ahhh, seeing someone so happy is-" pausing momentarily as he searched for a suitable adjective to relay his feelings, "nice." he said decisively. A small smile still danced across Ion's warm features in a sincere expression of how he felt.
The weather was a perfect reflection of the glorious sense of discovery that Ion was feeling well up in him. Such a calm, reflective day seemed to be ignited with the strength of Megami's revelation. Today joy seemed to be infectious...and it was catching.53

"You've found yourself a truly beautiful home...ahhh, seeing someone so happy is-”
“Hmm…?”
"...nice."
The voice had been so sudden. It had not ruined the picture, not even giving a hint of disruption to the charm of the scenery. If anything, the arrival of Megami’s company was well timed showing how bountiful it was supplying such “exotic” guests. Based on how they had suddenly appeared, not from the usual common greeting and introduction, she had been even more curious as she tilted her head slightly in a cocked manner. That motion of her head was her default show of curiosity whenever she had seen something or someone that had gotten her attention. Stepping forth after her graceful twirl that searched out the figure, and stopping so sudden as she observed; it was until the very last minor sway of her green skirt had ceased and her composure shown not the slightest movement when she spoke.
“Greetings to you, sir!” she had addressed the figure in the treetops with the most delighted smile, “I am just happy to know that my presence did not disturb you. Are you perhaps a common resident of this Net Area?”
Megami’s question had been left to the new entity while Xenneth’s curiosity had been on a feeding frenzy. He was weary of others, NetNavi or NetOp in the equation. He was not very open, and not one to see that much company in his days. It was because of this, he could not help but to look upon the figure that nestled himself amongst the park area of the Green Network, and it was as hard to miss as the guest of honor in the most cramped room: none too difficult. The NetNavi was not like others, just like Megami, he seemed to be a Custom-Built design which drew his attention. It was those NetNavis that mostly stood out in net society because of their capabilities that ranged farther than just the limits of small tasks. He was quite weary seeing that the usual feeling of nostalgia when he owned nothing more than a P.E.T had sunken in ever so quick, almost completely forgetting that the beautiful Megami had vowed to be his NetNavi because of their close friendship.
“He seems…friendly.”
That was all Xenneth could think, but the statement was amongst layers. He was paranoid, always thinking with that uneasy feeling about him. He was as timid as a sheltered child who never knew of the sun rays across his skin but marveled at the sight of it‘s heavenly light outside his windowpane, never knew of the gusting winds and caressing breezes but left them to imagination compared to that of a house hold fan, and he never knew the bonds of friendship…well…he looked to Megami who had distorted his thoughts. The boy had been introduced to the world little by little because of the NetNavi. It was because of her when he lived in such a big isolated house and being pulled outside his door with the one question that shattered his closed off world and dashed his fears in one foul swoop: why?
“There’s nothing to be afraid of…”
Megami had stood with a smile of pure bliss and confidence that made the young violet haired boy think those words. It was opposite to those depressed days where she had continued to dwell on her existence. Xenneth could not imagine what had erased those worried thoughts from her mind, until he had looked around remembering where he was, what she spoke of, and his own feelings in the matter. This new place was her home, somewhere she belonged. It was much similar to himself since he could not smile often outside of the four walls that not only protected him, but trapped him. He could smile easily at that moment knowing he could do something for his friend, even if it was as uncontrollable as him moving across the border of Netopia.
All things happened for a reason; perhaps even this meeting had one of those reasons. ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Morning Glow“ from Final Fantasy X-2IC Attire: Magnificent StrollChatty Ditz: Salem: Thank you for your assistance, Mr. Salem. =3 @ion: Be careful. Laughing lightly to the greenery around him as much as to himself as the graceful figure spun effortlessly around in search of him and subsequently greeting him in a manner that only perfected the first impressions he had gathered from her. The friendly formality that complimented her style completed the image before him, and as his soft laugh quieted, Ion replied heartily, "Haha, happiness is never a disturbance, and I can't see a better way to meet someone than when they're so filled with it. Though I must apologize Miss, I didn't mean to listen to your conversation, the tones just kind of drew my attention." Waving his hand almost dismissively as he continued, "Although...I must say, Sir, is much too formal for me. I'm just Ion." Allowing his introduction to hang in the air as he contemplated how to correctly answer Megami's question about his residency, Ion hopped off the raised roots and leaned comfortably against the fissured surface of the bark. Deciding to be frank with her, Ion elaborated on her open-ended question with the truth of his lifestyle, "To be honest, I come here occasionally when I just want to escape and think. Life gets too crazy sometimes and somehow the beauty of nature brings me back to the important things. There really is nothing even comparable to it." Absentmindedly running one hand along the rougher bark where the root split into smaller tendrils, Ion realized he had rambled more than he had intended and finally got to the point, "I can't say that I do live here but amongst all of the networks I've roamed, this by far is one of the most beautiful. And it would be the best to settle down in if the nature calls to you."
Memories of other, even more magnificent sights and networks flickered through his head but all failed to provide the safety or convenience of Green Town. Images flickered of the heart-wrenching and body intensive trials that he had endured to gather the incomparable experience and memories to hold forever close to him. These images stood out in high contrast to the life changing feats of nature that he had come to know. He couldn't help but continue to smile, though one more directed inwardly as the reflections of his past rose to the surface, filling his mind with the vertigo inducing heights that he had scaled, the hidden jewels of the oceans forever guarded by natural phenomenon, the utter silence of crystalline ice caves and even the mysterious evolution of the tropical forests transitioning between night and day, between one season to the next. All of these memories tugging at the edges of his consciousness while the hardship associated with each lay as a testament to Ion's own dedication to his search: to his Will. Yet amongst these hard earned visions, Ion couldn't help but feel the gentleness of the Green Area lay waiting to be noticed, never pressing or tugging rather waiting for acknowledgement amongst his history of travel. Yet these places that played out so enticingly in his mind were not fit to live, that remained solely in the hands of the persevering essence of the heavenly sanctuary around them now.
These tantalizing visions passing through his mind's eye were but a fraction of a second as the interlude between his introductions and his own curiosity served to maintain the relaxed tone of conversation they had established. Unhurried and friendly, the conversation of two strangers crossing in an inexplicable twist of chance or fate was by no means pressed. The cadence of greeting and fluid transitions of conversation seemed to pull and pulse with the ambiance surrounding them, filling the air with almost tangible expressions of their simple yet deeply fulfilling joy. ”If you don’t mind me asking, what brought you to this place? In my experience most people know of Green Town but never really look further than its reputation.” in a voice filled with undertones of simple curiosity and very general overtones of Ion’s normal speech, he inquisitively asked her and possibly, should he choose to reply, her Operator as well. The mysterious face behind the screen still hadn’t come into crisp definition for Ion and remained shrouded by the playful glare and wavering refractions of the sunlight. Though he had no clear idea of whether her Op was even male or female yet, it didn’t really matter to him, they were still new people to converse with and the young woman before him remained an intriguing and refreshing study. 53

"Haha, happiness is never a disturbance, and I can't see a better way to meet someone than when they're so filled with it. Though I must apologize Miss, I didn't mean to listen to your conversation, the tones just kind of drew my attention. Although...I must say, Sir, is much too formal for me. I'm just Ion."
The laugh was returned with a smile.
Megami had not met someone like this before, so care free and patient. He had shown no falsehood to how he spoke about their meeting. Sincerely, she thought nothing towards him hearing their conversation. It did not occur to herself nor Xenneth that they were speaking at a tone audible to not just the ears of the park area of the forest, but others that were amongst it. Conscious of it now, and to the address of the stranger, she had nodded her head while rolling her shoulders, relaxing herself from the inconvenience of being too “formal” as usual. She had a habit of that, as she had learned.
“I-on” she had thought before letting the words travel to her lips making them part as she sounded it to herself, “I-on.” she had seconded.
"To be honest, I come here occasionally when I just want to escape and think. Life gets too crazy sometimes and somehow the beauty of nature brings me back to the important things. There really is nothing even comparable to it. I can't say that I do live here but amongst all of the networks I've roamed, this by far is one of the most beautiful. And it would be the best to settle down in if the nature calls to you."
Megami had not even noticed the rambling. If anything, she had listened to the conversation whole heartedly, entertained and lead on by some of the most minor and insignificant detail that others would think of as just “that.” To her however, it was a learning experience seeing that she had the idea that NetNavis followed to a certain “path” that they were based on upon creation. It was the thoughts of one who thought of themselves as “defective” or not “absolute” like their others. She had constantly thought of herself as less, until moments came…moments like this one that gave her a brighter perspective.
Nature, being, and even hearts; they all seemed the same whether in this world of data or the one parallel to it. The words the NetNavi had spoke were so similar in idea, but so different in perspective. Like others, he had his own opinion, but closely it intertwined with those of familiars, even such as Xenneth himself who idled in front of his desktop with his legs swinging back and forth while he watched Megami take a side to the conversation that she herself was in.
It was the words that swayed her towards the attention of Green Area.
“That it is…and that it would.” she had agreed. Her eyes closing as she shut the sight of the forest away from her sight, and imagined that same woodlands. If only she could imagine walking it amongst it peacefully with a smile on her face, and her hand grasping that of Xenneth’s. If only she could imagine herself walking from here to there happy that she could be there to do more than cheer him on. It would be much better than being his clueless NetNavi, but she could not imagine that. She was not one to delude herself away from the reality. She had to do what she could as she was.
”If you don’t mind me asking, what brought you to this place? In my experience most people know of Green Town but never really look further than its reputation.”
Megami turned her head showing her beautiful half opened eyes. Smiling, she simply said, “Wheverever Xen-kun goes, I will go as well.” she had said while turning her attention back to the forest. “My NetOp, Xen-kun, has just moved to Green Town. The details to why are not right for me to say without his consent, nor do I fully understand myself. However…this is our home, and I only hope for his happiness.”
Xenneth’s feet stopped kicking, and his hands that held up his head had been stiff and frozen. He gazed at the screen with a gentle smile. The video display of himself was off making him unseen even as Megami spoke full heartedly. She was so silly, forgetting sometimes that just because he was not present did not mean he could not hear her. Either way, he knew it did not matter to her, friends told each other about their feelings.
Sitting idly by, Megami stared towards the forest with a sincere smile as she thought about it, their new home. ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Morning Glow“ from Final Fantasy X-2IC Attire: Magnificent StrollChatty Ditz: --- Topic Quotation: Megami‘s Thoughts
