~Rules~ ~Location is in SclLab ~ Festival Grounds, Realword/Network. That’s how it plans to stay for the duration for this story as well.
~Limit is four characters in this story; (including myself) which means three slots are left. After that, no more. If you would like to join, post right after the "First Post" which will be my post setting the scene of this story.
~Posting order will be applied meaning that there will be posting between these four people in a specific order set. There will be no “skipping” unless that person has not posted in a maximum of forty eight hours after the most recent post. If you can not be active, then I advise not joining. However, if you think you can be active, and you are under certain circumstances (I understand, because I‘m in college,) then please tell me when you think you will be able to post and I, as well as the others, will understand. If you want to be skipped, then please notify someone during the story. (Mainly me. I have a strict policy to this out of respect.)
~Roleplaying is dire in this story; therefore please be literate. One paragraph (Five sentences) will do, but I expect good literate text and typing. This includes “battles” as well. I will make that as a condition of the story seeing I’m not too fund of battling without detail which makes things interesting.
~I, as the story writer, have the right to request booting for anyone breaking these rules. Forum and basic roleplay rules apply, so if you anyone does not follow, I will request to have someone removed on a “Strike-Three” bases. ^^
~Prizes I am unsure of. No doubt will you gain experience in this story since there are battles, but as far as prizes go, I think that's under the jurisdiction of staff. If you'd like, I'd ask someone later if they could reward you since I'm not "in-tune" with this site's system as much.
~Thank you and enjoy the story!

Something so simplistic...
Humans were no such thing. They were beyond “simple.” Every day, even the beings themselves would look towards themselves in wonder as if there was something that could not be comprehended. That remained during this day, even now as all one could do was look toward their neighbor and witness crime or justice, and still wonder “why?” If ears heard that question, even they would want to ask out of curiosity.
Why bother seeking for peace in a world inevitable for destruction, or why try to lead it into turmoil when already we had enough? They were really double negatives really. It just showed how confused people were. They usually threw “care” and “concern” aside and just said, “Oh well!” for the moment. Really it was just the words used to throw caution into the wind and do what one pleased disregarding the potential to do either good or bad. This was rather the neutral in “Good” and “Evil” at best. So which was better: the inevitable darkness or the forever glimmer of light?
If only people could dream like she did…
“Megami!~” The gentle song had cooed making the brown eyes come to as they opened slowly, “Megami, are you there?”
The loading screen of the P.E.T had switched from standby to a fully functional glow at that moment. It orange node on the right side went to green as the circular icon had changed from a dull display to a bright one, enough to show the angelic wing like emblem that had been displayed upon the top right of the electronic item. The hands that grasped it fiddled with the buttons as they had scrolled through the option bars displaying data from the “NetNavi Statistics” to show that it was the same as ever. A definite number of “energy” and all body functions seemed normal. The identification and type of NetNavi had been aligned with several question marks and irregular characters that still made him question exactly what this NetNavi was since the day she had appeared in his P.E.T.
“Good morning, Xenneth!” The sound spoke cheeringly from his device as the young boy had switched from the statistics screen tossing away his concern for the moment in order to see the NetNavi that was upon display. “Did you call for me? I was having quite the refreshing rest and a really interesting dream!” she had said in her as usual cheery voice.
Xenneth had of course sighed in relief. He was still far from understanding his first NetNavi, and he did not things would be this complicated. Every other NetNavi he had met had seemed to be by him standing afar and staring at someone else’s P.E.T and even looking over someone’s shoulder at time to see what they were doing. At most, he was happy to watch, but at the same time, upset, seeing that he had not his own NetNavi, let alone friend.
“Oh, sorry to wake you, but you‘ve been sleep for a long time, even when I tried to boot up my P.E.T….so…” he had paused thinking about the words pressed towards him. “What? Sleep? Dreams? NetNavis can dream while they are in Sleep Mode?” he had asked curiously as Megami had stared back at the young boy with a confusing look within her brown eyes.
“Sleep Mode?” she asked, “Well, I just rest when I need to. Plus, doesn‘t everyone have dreams?”
Once again, confusion had reigned. Everytime he spent a day with the NetNavi, a questioned posed on him about one issue to another. NetNavis, Net Navigators, were browsing features to a P.E.T. they helped keep organization, modify programs, and other different types of functions as they portrayed the Network they lived in as another world for them. They were man made creations, and most of them had been said to be nothing more than programs and data. However, some were said to have something in close proximity of a human and it was that of a “Heart.” They were very special in that quality and made them almost like living breathing people, but even with that emulation, was it possible for them to have things such as “Dreams?”
It was puzzling, even for Xenneth, who was a new NetOp, or Net Operator, who had just found his NetNavi, Megami, after some freak accident in which he owed her his life, but instead, she had destined to give him one that she so claimed he deserved.
“That‘s strange….” Xenneth had whispered to himself as he had drifted in thought.
“Xenneth, did you want something of me? How can I help you?”
The violet haired boy had picked his head up realizing that he had drifted a little too suddenly. He had almost forgot that he requested Megami at the moment because of something. His eyes had wandered around the area as he had tried to recall what it was that he wanted. He had a slow memory at times, but he sight of Megami made him nervous seeing it was hard seeing her as anything other than a woman because of the form the NetNavi had took on.
“Oh! That‘s right!” he had spoke up, “I was trying to warn you that we were going to ‘SciLab‘ today because of their festival.”
“Festival?” Megami had asked.
“Yes!” he had replied happily with a nod, “You said for me to go yesterday seeing that you wanted to show me something there. Don‘t you remember?”
“Oh! That‘s right!” Megami had recalled, “It‘s the festival today for the Sun and the Moon Spirits. Also, SciLab had extended their network to connect to the satellites that orbited the Sun and the Moon making a network around the plants.” Megami had explained.
“A Network around the Sun and the Moon?” Xenneth asked, “…what do you mean?”
“Well…” Megami had began, “A Net Area in your home at ‘Green Area‘ is how you can talk to people locally when you send me into the Network, remember? So if you had made a Network near the Sun and Moon, then you are able to communicate with anyone or anything live around that area as well. The Network can now go as far as beyond this planet, Earth and into outer space. That‘s at least what the News E-Mail says that was sent to everyone locally about SciLab‘s latest accomplishment, and they are inviting everyone to use their NetNavis on the New Net Area.”
Xenneth was astonished. He had always imagined things about the internet when it came to NetNavis and data, but he had not imagined anything as far as stretching beyond this planet. It was often that he stared at the moon at night, like anyone else would, and feel a strange nostalgia from it because of the beauty. The sun was something blazing and they always made references to man touching it or even grasping it in their very hand. However, to have people make actual contact with it, even if it was through a NetNavi, it would be astonishing.
“So, are we going to get to do things like make contact with aliens?” Xenneth has asked curiously only to hear a giggle from the sealed smiling lips of Megami. “I‘m not sure what an alien is, but if it‘s another person, I‘m sure they will make contact with the Sun as well.”
That was right, Megami was special. She was not a very “wise” NetNavi, but she was aware of the basic things. However, she had been outdated with information when it came to that of common human beliefs or even scientific proof. She was as plain as any other person, or maybe beyond that since she was beyond human desire, but tied in so well with understanding others. It made Xenneth keep thinking what was she if not NetNavi or human, especially to be ignorant of such things as if she was not of this world at all.
“Xenneth…” Megami had called, “The Moon exhibit is not accessible until night, so it‘s impossible to access it now. However, since we‘re here, then let us partake in the Sun exhibit. I‘m quite curious to see these ‘aliens‘ you were talking about.”
Regardless of the little outcry, Xenneth had closed his eyes a bit embarrassed about bringing such a thing up. Nodding his head after the nervous laugh, he had only proceed forth up the stairway away from the Bus Stop where he had stopped. His eyes picked up going to the SciLab building as the moment he stepped into the courtyard, he did not expect to seee the decorated splendor.
There were decorations and running hangings everywhere making it look like a classical Japanese festival. There was a large monument of a spiky bally that represented the sun, and a large globe with small crater-like mesh ins that looked like the moon. His eyes had looked around in wander as the moment he had saw the booths and even one or two women that dressed themselves in Kimono that he had felt a minor regret of coming seeing he did not expect it to be some sort of gathering for a bunch of people. Large crowds made him very nervous.
“Oh…wow…” he had said a bit stunned as he turned his back to the scene while pressing the form of a P.E.T. on his side. “I didn‘t expect…so many people.”
He had said as Megami had blinked taking witness to the young boy. Her eyes filled with compassion seeing this side of him, the one that was so anti-social and fear filled when it came to people. This was what she hoped to break him away from, slowly step by step. She had only wish she could be there and hold his hand and guide him, shield him with her own arms. It was way better than standing in a P.E.T. and providing words of wisdom.
“It‘s okay Xenneth…” the young woman had said, “I‘ll be here to guide you step by step.”
The young boy had taken a deep breathe, turning his body remembering the solemn promise from the NetNavi. She had promised him, and to ask her about those words would be hurtful nonetheless. He had simply nodded his head as he spoke calmly.
“Okay,” he had cooed, “Thank you Megami.” he had said before walking forth into the festival grounds passing through the booths as he looked around. By the time he had passed his third of fourth booth, things seemed to be a bit more relaxing. He wondered however what was it he was supposed to do in such a place. ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Hikari-(PlantetB Remix)“ by Utada HikariIC Attire: Sunshine GreenChatty Ditz: --- Topic Quotation: Megami‘s Thoughts

*i claim the first spot Xen, i hope you don't mind, please excuse me if my RP'ing isn't so great, i haven't done it in a long time and i am a little dusty....ill probably get the hang out it again after a while though.*
"AP7!....Where are you?" Zeke said to his jail broken P.E.T
It was 4 Pm, the time Zeke usually got up, he never really was an early bird, and enjoyed sleeping in, AP7 then walked onto his screen, it had a black wallpaper, and a theme that you could only get from jail breaking your P.E.T, As AP7 walks onscreen, he looks at the wallpaper lazily, and then looks back up at Zeke.
"Im gonna laugh when you get caught with this...." AP7 pauses for a moment and then asks Zeke what he wanted, Zeke smiles Largely.
" The Scilab festival is open, Ive been waiting so long for it!" "You've known about its existence less than a month Zeke, I remember you googling it." Zeke frowns and looks at AP7, AP7 then chuckles and looks at the email the magazine sends every month to its subscribers.
"Looks like you have mail Zeke."
AP7 opens it, reads it, and summarizes it for Zeke.
"Festivals today, there are to exhibit things, A Sun, and Moon exhibit."
Being exalted he even told Zeke, AP7 knows he cant just sit around the home page anymore and Zeke is gonna make him go and see it, AP7 stands up tells Zeke hes going to go to the exhibit seeing he has no choice anyway, AP7 couldn't decline Zekes wishes, for it was because of Zeke AP7 was even alive.
"Ok lets go!"
Zeke jumps up and grabs his chrome covered P.E.T, and runs out of his room, Zeke flashes through the living room and tells his mom he's heading out, As he runs for the bus stop, AP7 relaxes and takes a nap. As They arrive at scilab, Zeke runs up the stairway from the bus stop, and basically does a somersault onto the fair grounds. Zeke had always been a straightforward child, and never cared about how people thought of him. He noticed all of the decorations, and was very excited for the fun to come.
".....Wow....."
Zeke was amazed by the decorations, and was surprised by the amount of people there. He walked around for a few minutes before seeing a familiar face in the crowd.
"Wow its you!" Zeke runs over to the young boy, Zeke is a few inchs taller than the boy and looks down at him, he holds out his hand for a handshake. "Hey remember me? We fought a few days ago in matchmaking....But i never got your name!"

"Wow its you!"
“Huh?”
His eyes had wandered as he had whipped around; the violet haired boy hearing the voice as he had tried to try to place a face. He had at first assumed that it was just someone passing by; it was not like someone knew him, or even paid attention to him for that matter. He was just another face in the crowd, so he made the assumption that it was all he ever would be. Even so, he searched out to stick the face of someone who had called out into the crowd, and to his surprise, he actually found someone familiar as he gazed forth towards the approaching figure.
“Hey! It’s that NetOp again, Xenneth…”
It was obvious that Megami had remember, but of course, the young boy had not remembered. His eyes laying on the figure, he did not recall a name, but he did recall the NetNavi since Megami had been on the receiving end of the enemy’s attacks for so long that of course he would have to register the form in mind as if he was some sort of terror. Megami had not had that perspective virtually at all seeing that she had a nice time sparring, and it even made her feel stronger prior to her overwhelming ignorance of her nature as a NetNavi. To this end, she had let right hand reach to her temple at those times Xenneth would ask her about being a “NetNavi” and she could not even comprehend her duties or programming, but she did have a personal job to wanting to help Xenneth bring out his potential.
"Hey remember me? We fought a few days ago in matchmaking....But i never got your name!"
“Umm…well…”
It was almost like a “no” by default. He had did however remember the boy slightly, but he still had questioned why the figure had approach him in such a casual place seeing that Xenneth had not been one for crowds, or talking for that matter. Usually, he was the sour let down in a conversation, and it was because of this, he had let his head slant away slightly seeing the figure as he had pinned that face and not a name, but as good as any to start, he had decided to comply and give his name working off an inexperience instinct, and not by formalilty.
“M-my name…” he had begun, “I-It’s Xenneth.”
Saying that with his stuttering voice, the violet haired boy had fallen into silence with a press of his lips and a swallow as he had stared towards the figure for a moment before letting his eyes stray away nervously. ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Exploration“ by Bruno CaoulaisIC Attire: Sunshine GreenChatty Ditz: --- Topic Quotation: Megami‘s Thoughts

"I-It’s Xenneth."
Zeke notices the purple haired boy stuttering, but acts like he never did and smiles hugely at the boy, he pats the boy on his back and sees him flinch.
"You ok man? You seem sick."
Zeke pauses for a moment and notices that thhe boy seems like he was "Afraid" of the tall boy. Zeke whispers to his P.E.T the following words:
"Say hi to that megami girl and apologize dude..."
AP7 grunts and teleports to purple haired boys P.E.T.
"Well im Zeke, nice to make your acquaintance, Why are you here? You seem lost."
As Zeke waits for an answer, he notices Xenneth is giving him one of those "We barely know each other and its not really your business" looks. Zeke sighs and looks off and starts wondering what made Xenneth so unsociable, and soon he leaves the moment and starts pondering on this. He is then shoved a few moments later by the rushing crowd and is removed from his mind and returns to the conversation to see that AP7 is already in his P.E.T.
"Why are you back so soon?"
"Said sorry. I listened to what she had to say though."
Saying this, AP7 pulls out his current book "Unwind" by a man of the name Neal Shusterman. He had been reading this for less than a day, and is already at the end of the 365 page book. Zeke had not bothered to ask the navigator what is was about, but by the look of the cover and could tell it was a very suspenseful book. Zeke then looks up at Xenneth, as it looks like he wants to say something, but it seems hard for him to get it out.
