Vash looks at the platforms, counting them. As the others started to go, he waited untill a few went. When Rikaru made it to the fifth platform, Vash jumps on the first platform.
"Okay... We have to make it as far as possible while a freaky lamp tries to keep us from going further."
Vash looks down at his feet as he walks towards the edge of the first platform. As the darkness starts to overtake the area, Vash holds his left arm over his chest and releases energy into the air, lighting up the immediate area. When the light starts to come back to the area, Vash focuses the energy to create a shield that reaches from his head to his knees. Vash continues to stare down, ignoring the influence of the lamp. Vash's armor changes to a dark gray and a full helm appears over his eyes. His armor seems to become an inch thicker, all of it.. When he reaces the end, the shield vanishes and he jumps. Vash lands on both feet on the edge of the second platform with a loud thud. A light shield of energy flashes into existance as the darkness comes again. Vash holds the halberd in front of him when the shield fades and creates a shield of energy using it. This shield stays up untill Vash reaches the end of the second platform. It then returns to the halberd it was before. Vash's armor changes and much of it is stripped, his helm; his spaulders; and all the excess weight from before. The part covering his arms and legs change to light chainmail and it all returns to green. Vash jumps to the third platform. Vash changes the halberd back to the glowing energy shield form and walks forward. When it changes back, the lamp starts changes color. Vash shuts his eyes and remembers how long the platform was. He runs half of the remaining distance and jumps. He lands at the edge of the fourth platform and he opens his eyes. Vash once more changes the halberd back to the energy shield and sighs at how long it lasted. He runs to the edge of the platforms and the shield falters and returns to normal. Vash jumps over to the edge once more. He looks at Glassman and sighs.
"So it got you here? At least you are okay and didn't fall."
Vash turns his attention back to the platforms ahead and returns his halberd to the energy shield form, for the last time. He moves forward untill it returns to normal. Vash changes the halberd to pure energy and draws it into the right gauntlet and holds it in the gauntlet for later. Vash quickly jumps to the other side when the lamp starts color changing. The chainmail returns to it's normal platemail form and Vash's spaulders return. His helm does not return, however. Vash is surrounded by an aura of the color viridian as he moves forward once more. The aura fades when the darkness disappears and a second one surrounds Vash. Vash focuses on where he is walking instead of paying attention to the flashing, which was only a bare minimum in his eyes due to the aura. The aura vanishes. Vash jumps and performs a flip, landing on his hands while the lamp color changes. Vash flips once more, this time to the next platform. He takes a deep breath and looks at Rave, who was stopped on this platform.
"So you were stopped here... Don't feel bad. You done pretty good, counting what the guardian is... I can't understand how it works... Anyways, I am going to head on to see how far I can get."
Darkness falls and Vash is surrounded once more by the aura. It fades once the darkness disappears. The aura returns to reduce the effect of the flashing. It fades and Vash runs and jumps to the eighth platform. Deciding speed was needed here, Vash dashes forward and jumps when the darkness returns, just in the event that the lamp sent out any type of strange energy. He jumps again one the thing flashes and lands when the lamp changes color. Vash flips onto the ninth platform. Vash releases energy from his left arm and forms the omega shield once more as he moves on the ninth platform. Vash jumps to the tenth. He flips once as the darkness overtakes the area. When the lamp flashes, Vash is weakened greatly and kneels down.
"It seems this is as far as I get..."
Vash sighs and looks forward.
"Only one more platform and I would have been halfway there. Guess I should be glad I made it this far."
