--Appearance--
Ten is a small, lithe figure. Standing at 5', she wears a sleek, black body suit over her slender physique. Rather than fabric, cloth, or even leather, it seems that her suit is made from highly flexible metal fibers, which reflect light away from her and allow for complex maneuverability without sacrificing defensive measures.
Her suit has no breaks in its design, but a grey trim outlines her limbs and the sides of her body. Whenever she exerts herself, these outlines flow with the green energy that Ten is known for, becoming a streak of neon green in an otherwise dark space. When necessary, the neck of the suit expands upward and covers her face, blocking her identifying features from view and giving her the appearance of a metallic-clad assassin. Her mask is succinct but terrifying to gaze upon, with bright green slits for eyes and with vents built into the sides of the face rather than at the mouth and nose. The sleek, angular design of the helm wraps her face and even seems to hide her hair without worry, ending at a fine point at the back of her skull.
When her helm isn't on, Ten's eyes are a vibrant pink color, her face pale, given the design of woman with a fine chin-bone, raised cheeks, and a slim but constant smile. She boasts a small streak of red down the right side of her otherwise shoulder-length jet-black hair, and this red streak has been allowed to grow to her hip.
Ten's weapon systems aren't immediately visible on her person, as she carries no weapons with her. Her suit however can expand and mold itself to her needs, and she can use energy in her environment to craft additional weapons from thought.
--Personality--
Enigmatic and energetic like her younger brother, but able to get serious when focused like her eldest brother, Ten has the attitude that is able to have fun when permitted but willing to get stuff done when necessary. A practitioner of dark humor, she enjoys including threats, banter, challenges, and other boisterous declarations in her conversations with friends and family alike; the more aggressively competitive Ten acts, the easier it is for you to tell she feels comfortable around you.
Ten is perceptive, but unfortunately easily distracted whenever she isn't focused completely on the task at hand, able to switch her attention rapidly and with little reason. To make up for this, once she narrows down her gaze, it is difficult to pull her away from whatever she has focused on. This comes with its own concerns, too, of course, but Ten has learned how to more than make up for this.
When Ten is overly serious, critical, and has a lack of banter, that is a sign of focus, and even more dangerous, dislike. Ten only ever plays in banter with her friends; she does not pass threats to enemies, nor does she typically engage in conversation whenever she is fighting. Its where she got her combat name from, and that single-minded focus on destruction has served her well.
--Background--
Of the many Wave Beings created by Dealer's attempts at creating sentient, combat-capable wave life, Ten was one of the last three that stood out from the rest. She had lived through the rigorous expectations and the daunting fear that overhung her and her siblings with her head held high, and her expectations higher. She knew that, once the cards were down, she, Joker, and Ace would be the ones that made it out of there, and they would be stronger for it.
Joker and Ace were exemplary, of course. They were the most recently designed, and the specs put into them made them even leagues above her, but she was able to at least keep pace with Ace's speed for a time, and her combat efficiency was level with Joker's, as well. The only place she lacked in comparison to both of them was threat assessment; priority optimization. Her design made it easier for her to concentrate on foes to be sure, but she could only eliminate one target at a time, and she did not always select the correct target, to King's standards. When the powerful programs were passed down, Joker and Ace were selected to begin tests to begin resonating with Crimson and Noise, and Ten was left in the dust. King deactivated her one day, just like he had the ones before her, and all the ones she had outdone. He wasn't looking for 'could keep up' or 'was just close.' He was looking for exemplary. In his eyes, Ten's shortcomings, even if she could overcome them with time, were nothing but disappointment, and he had no room in his organization for disappointment.
Heartless always had a soft spot, however. While King was busy continuing to rear Joker and Ace, she woke Ten back up, and kept her going on an alternative signal that would be difficult for King to keep track of. Heartless would adapt this signal, later on, to check in on what she saw as her children frequently, without King's interference or knowledge. Caring for Ten and giving her a new chance in life, she released Ten from Dealer's restraints, in much the same way she would one day do for Joker.
