*He would beam in at Element City, seeing as it was one of the focal points of destruction numerous times now. His next stop would be Bayside, then the Forest Network in that order in his observations. But he would start things off by sending Faith a message to inform her of where he was now that the meeting was over. He would still need to go over her particular inclination to new faces. One so that they can avoid the problem that they caused and two so they can avoid her befriending any stragglers that managed to make it despite their circumstances. So until she made it to rendevouz with him, he would begin to tour the ruined network that they were likely trying to rebuild again despite how well that went in Netopia or better yet, despite the fact it had literally just been attacked. No, it would make more sense if they were still focusing on the evacuation efforts than some silly attempts at rebuilding right after it was hit to such a heavy degree.*

Mistair pushed down, and dragged Vanguard with her. Like breaking the surface of water, the world they were in faded away and they emerged in Electopia, falling a short distance and landing. Vanguard looked around, baffled, unsure of how such a thing could even be possible.
There was no movement as much as just a change of how their weight was applied, and it really was no different than just pushing themselves down. Not being able to see any signs of travel, or even any signs of the place they were just in, Vanguard tried to orient himself, recollecting quickly. Watching Mistair just superimpose realities around each other, while still jarring, is no longer news to him, so, he at least wasn't surprised.
Although, he definitely didn't think he'd watch it happen twice in the same hour.
Still holding Mistair's hand, he nodded to her and carefully released in order to fully regain his footing, and then glanced around, quickly spotting Genesis. Nodding, he raised his hand and waved, and began closing the distance with their old friend.
"Long time no see," Vanguard greeted jovially. It seemed like such a long time since they broke off on separate terms, what, with his conversation with Mistair, the juncture with Burai, and the fight between the two separate foes seeking after Var. "We've got a lot to catch up on."

*The Onyx Overlord would do little to hold back his surprise in noticing Vanguard coming up to greet him before long as a brow was raised at the signaling and the greeting even.*
"Good to see you again."
*On the one hand with how much movement he and Faith had done, it was reasonable to say that Mistair and Vanguard had simply done the same. Except the jarring part would be why they were here of all places and without Armiger and Centurion. Had they left Eden and Creamland and just chosen to go to Element City for their next location just in time to meet up with him? He would let Faith hold on to that more innocent interpretation of how the turn of events played out. Suffice to say he was going with the one that told him that they knew he had come here without him informing them of anything save for the coordinates he got that effectively told them to go to the Moon. Now if they had likewise gone there and back by now as well, either that trip was uneventful or there would be very obvious holes in that story.*
"A lot has transpired since we let convened. What happened on your end?"
*Holes that would start to come up depending on how this story was told right here and now, paranoia or otherwise. So he would let them go first and then give what happened on their end when they were finished explaining to him exactly what was going on here.*

#s://i~imgur~com/bVxYsRD~png " At last, my glorious return! "
Arriving to the scene wasn't quite who Genesis was expecting -- or Mistair and Vanguard for that matter -- but a face he'd maybe recognize if he thought back long enough. This Navi looked very human-like, wearing regular clothes instead of armor but lacking the three-pronged spear weapon-esque that he used to carry with him: clearly not a combat-centric navi, this one was. Spikey brown hair and a never fading smile spelled the rest of his casual appearance while he approached the Onyx Overload as if he had been the one that was invited.
When a hologram screen displaying Faith's face appeared next to this odd newcomer, it made more sense what was going on.
" Behave, Strike. Sorry Genesis, you caught me at a bad time. I'm mid-transit at the moment and can't pulse in anywhere, so I sent my Navi in my stead for the time being. You recognize Strike, yes? You'd remember him as one of Warrior's friends from years ago. "
That was before Jacob Rayner wore the mantle of "Warrior", so quite far back indeed. After that Warrior's deletion, Strike.EXE was never heard from because Faith confined him to her PET since then.
This Navi was a gift to her from David Pele when they were much younger, and after his death, reincarnation, and second death, she began seeing Strike.EXE as a memento of her lost love. As such, with how dangerous the Net had become, she forbade him from traversing it in fear of losing him too, and so he'd seldom ever be let out of the PET that housed him. That was why she prioritized grabbing this PET over the one that had stored Genesis when Everett Higsby had reformatted both of them.
One could certainly interpret this as a major fault with her moral compass. Her emotional attachment would tell her otherwise, but it wouldn't be hard to string together the narrative that she viewed this Navi as property instead of an individual. While in reality, it was just her being overprotective of him, there was no denying that it could still harm her image as a human finding herself in the company of navis.
If she'd grown too attached to any of them, would she demand a restriction of their freedoms as well? It was very slippery slope for sure, and if nothing else it showed that she wasn't without her own flaws as well -- assuming anyone looked that deeply into the scene here. For the most part, everything was as innocent as it seemed in the moment.
With all of that said: letting him out for this occasion was either a sign of her loosening up or a sign of her urgency to exchange information with the others here, but who was to say.
" This way I'll be able to talk and travel at the same time, and I'll join in person once I'm able to. "
The other two didn't go unnoticed as Faith turned her attention to them as well.
" Vanguard, Mistair -- glad to see you both in good health. Welcome back to the party! "
She'd missed the conversation up to this point, so was simply picking up and following along from where Strike brought her in. Strike himself was literally just there to maintain the communication line since Faith couldn't interface her PET's camera directly into this deleted network like she had done other times; or rather, into the deleted Cyber World given recent happenings.

Vanguard looked back to Mistair, noticing how intently the Onyx overlord was looking over the two of them, and carefully considering his question to them. Realizing that there were quite a few gaps on both of their ends, Vanguard nodded as Genesis asked him to explain. It only made sense; the overlord's paranoia was somewhat concerning, though, as it was in poor form for him to distrust them after all that they've done together thus far.
When the newcomer suddenly arrived, boisterous and energetic, Vanguard was somewhat beside himself, surprised at the energy, and worried of his intentions. He didn't recognize this fellow at all, and his trigger finger was quite paranoid after his most recent encounters. When the hologram arrived, Vanguard was all too relieved to see Faith; although, it did dawn on him that he was perhaps seeing her from the human side, this time, a happenstance that he had yet to experience. She chose to look much the same in her virtual life as she did her physical, one, then, he had to conclude.
This Navi, then, was her personal Navi? An odd idea to him; what need would she, an individual with the technology to jack into the net herself, have need for an additional Net Navi? Aside from the potential for company, he supposed, but, she never had him in here with her, before. While the threat of the Net as of recent was high, and it made sense to perhaps protect him in that light, why Faith had this individual alongside her without mentioning him before perplexed him. He decided against pushing the issue, though, as he didn't know the Navi that well, nor did he know Faith's connection to him, or this 'Warrior' fellow.
"Good to see you, too, Faith. We await you being able to join us in full. I was just about to catch Genesis up on what we'd been up to while you two were away."
"We had a pretty long winded conversation with Var back in Eden, and then amongst ourselves, too, just to slow down for a bit after all the fuss. We had a visit from three separate individuals interested in taking advantage of Master Var's weakened state, and thankfully neither of the three completely accomplished what they wanted," he explained. Thus far, he hadn't told a lie, just recounting the events carefully.
"Another individual from Var's lineage, a Darkloid that I didn't know the name of, and the Original Navi, back to back. The latter managed to absorb Var's ability to alternate between media types, but, no sooner did he do this than the Wave World be eradicated, anyways, according to the other fellow. After surviving those encounters, we recuperated and made our way back here," Vanguard finished, looking back at Mistair and nodding at her as she caught up. "Quite the collection of adversaries. Wouldn't have made it without her, but, of course, what news is that?" He chuckled, trying to make light of it.
"Armiger and Centurion made the decision to trek out on their own, traveling to Creamland to see what help they could be to the stragglers. Mistair helped sever their connection to their previous designs, making them more autonomous; a good step in figuring out their own place in the world, as opposed to a place alongside someone else.
"In the same vein . . ." Vanguard paused, looking back with uncertainty at Mistair, but nodded to solidify his conviction. With both of them here, may as well try and get this out of the way as easily as possible. Vanguard held up his hand, flashing the new stone band wrapped around his wrist. "Master Var made the decision to continue to support us, in his own way. We explored a lot of options, and we all agreed that this was the best way to follow through with that. He may still be a little out of it, but, if you can, Var, say hey."
Vanguard cast his glance away, unable to fully meet either of their eyes. It was easy to see something disquieted and worried him, as he winced while holding up Var's new form. He was almost certain both Genesis and Faith would have a poor opinion of this, given what he knew of them, but hoped it would be for the best to be honest about it outright. Finally, he took a deep breath and mastered himself; he brought his gaze back and met it, sternly, with Genesis', as if defying any fear that he had within his mind. "What of you, since we've parted?"

As Vanguard let go and gathered his bearings, she kept her eyes on him and nodded as he made his way over to the Onyx Overlord and likewise started that way as well. As Genesis no doubt began to wonder how they got here, she would offer up a light wave to the new arrival as Genesis likely had the gears in his head turning right now to an accelerated degree after Vanguard was done telling their side of events.
"This is certainly awkward. And... hmm?"
For Genesis and Strike they wouldn't quite hear words from the stone band, but it did illuminate briefly then, something that Vanguard would instead have heard clearly as words. Var must have noticed something after he spoke, but didn't want to distract from the current report that they would have to share with both sides. Mistair hadn't added anything to the story, but was glancing to the side finally. As if there was something that caught her eye but not enough for her to call any vocal attention to it, the sign for anyone paying attention already there. It was only briefly as she returned her gaze back to everyone else instead, chiming in from here as her eyes moved to Genesis as well.
"He'll be able to voice himself more vocally later. It's best if he does so as little as possible to avoid any unwanted attention."

*That was a far more boisterous individual than the ones that were in their group up until now... well, besides Challenger, but that was before he was with everyone here. Of course, he did recognize them now that he saw who it was. This one had been inactive for years now, which made sense if he was being used as someone's personal Navi. The amount of freedom they had changed from person to person and Faith would clearly have no use for one since she could take care of her business on her own without him.*
"I recognize him. It has been a while."
*Yes, she certainly didn't need to keep Strike around. But he would curb his thoughts on that subject just for now. Strike at least was willing to listen and had no desire to be rebellious against her desires. If he was content with that, then with Armiger and Centurion he would save his opinion on it. She must have still been in transit from one place to another, something that only made sense as her methods of transportation was far from as fast as theirs were in their world. So he was correct to assume that they were still at Eden, though he would have personally cautioned against that, he supposed Vanguard probably made the executive decision to settle everything with Var there. And settling from the sounds of it involved two unnamed individuals. Another from Var's lineage? He could presume that one to perish over time if they didn't deal with him themselves. An unknown Darkloid? ...Why was that in Eden? More accurately put, how was it at Eden given the very specific conditions they had to use to get there? ...They had been followed by another then. One that was able to travel with them well enough to go completely unnoticed by anyone who wouldn't call attention to it when they noticed him, as he was none the wiser. The Original Navi meant that Forte was there right before he paid his visit to go reclaim that ticking bomb that Joker had, so that all added up still from what he was being told by Vanguard. In short, he was being pretty forthcoming with them. This included confirmation that they didn't eliminate the other relic from Var's lineage, Forte got what he needed from Var, but the foreign lifeforms were largely but not entirely without a way to interact with them for the most part now. What a turn of events that happened to be.*
"You two certainly can hold your own, that much is true."
*Or as Vanguard put it, he couldn't have made it without Mistair. But if she could have kept them safe from the Original Navi's approach, then why had she had such a rough encounter the first time? What changed between the first encounter and the third besides Forte himself getting stronger over time? His gears had hit an abrupt halt for something he wasn't expecting to hear at all, as his eyes widened by what was said right after that. Mistair had done what with Armiger and Centurion? She had only met them effectively a day ago, had she not? And yet she knew enough of their core design to change it, grant them autonomy, and in one single attempt no less. Either they were surprisingly simply made or she had--...*
"..."
*The gears that had begun to turn had taken another abrupt halt by what followed up this revelation. So the new accessory that Vanguard was wearing was Var? His expression hadn't changed at all, but from his left and right gauntlets did bits of black data begin to slowly be released. While he was asked what they had been up to during their absence, the thing that had caused the reaction to cease was Mistair's gaze. He only noticed it because she was the one his attention had to be on for the next few moments. It was only briefly, but she had her attention focused elsewhere. She wasn't even looking to anything specific that he was aware of, but she clearly returned back to the conversation without saying a word about it. And instead the flow ceased as Genesis sighed and closed his eyes, schooling himself back into a neutral expression.*
"I see. It was more practical to put him to use than to eliminate him."
*On a surface level that was all it was, a pragmatic decision based upon the fact that Var could be used as a weapon as was his intended purpose. Go beyond the surface and you could see many decisions made on emotion that could jeopardize them all, but given his recent mishap that was something he could relate to. That was the end of that however, as everything else that went into that decision was poorly made and inexcusable to him. To that end he would see to it that it was rectified at its soonest availability, but keep in mind to get the mileage he could from it before he did. First, he knew she could do it to not only Armiger and Centurion, but Var, who to his knowledge she had literally met in that encounter alone. That meant the speed of which she could understand others, even higher grade entities as Var clearly was happened to be incredibly swift. Second, she knew where he was and could get to him even from Eden all the way to Electopia, meaning it was senseless to break off any engagements when she already knew where he was and to his knowledge he didn't have any particular trackers on him save for the potentially obvious one, of which that didn't belong to her. Third, he had absolutely no measure of the real depths or intents involved here, so if she was staying quiet then he would simply have to do the same and bide his time. As it so happened, his best bet was in keeping her close rather than far.*
"Faith and I returned to Sharo to investigate the location that Var kept us from last time. Deav was there this time and couldn't stop us himself, so he retreated. From there we discovered an underwater storage and went to a safe place to access the files we uncovered. If you recall the message with the coordinates, that was related to what we uncovered."
*From their story however they sounded like they took it as him telling them not to come find him, for which given Mistair clearly knew where he was from his perspective that misunderstanding should have been entirely avoided. From that he would have to gather that Vanguard probably decided against that investigation while they still had the vantage point of Eden, meaning that they would have to get there the hard way now for both locations. How riveting. He would continue all the same.*
"Seeing as Var is still among us, he could probably give you a personal recount of what we found in the files. But just in case he can't, we saw some work being done during an undisclosed century that has doubtlessly continued for centuries to this day. The thing we learned from that is that there are apparently "Trees" that we need to cut down. A clue that we have nothing to work with at this time, save that it should be happening soon. So right now we chose to start our search in Electopia."

#s://i~imgur~com/bVxYsRD~png " ... Wave World? "
Faith sounded perplexed by the term, which made sense considering her absence in all associated scenarios and conversations. Genesis didn't seem to question it, meaning that it was either revealed in those files they had acquired in the Sunken Library (of which she wasn't awake at the time to see for herself) or he had been informed of it during their separation.
As Vanguard went on to explain his and Mistair's other doings, Faith was less suspicious of the events involving Armiger and Centurion and more pleased to hear their independent growth from the development. She probably wouldn't have been as pleased to know everything that led to Var's current state, but a combination of factors led that to being largely overlooked as well: Vanguard's presentation of the information, her lack of knowing Var's own backstory, and perhaps its dilution among the plethora of other information she was receiving at the time -- not to mention her real world traveling demanded some of her attention during all of this as well. Her own handling of Strike.EXE wasn't without fault, so it'd be a case of her pointing out the splinter in another's eye for her to rebuke that anyway.
Back to the matters at hand, though: Genesis caught them up to the point before they went to Lynux Island, where she and him became separated shortly afterward.
" I'm unfamiliar with the term, I'd like some exposition if possible. Meanwhile Genesis, I'm glad to see you're fine as well after that encounter with OEL. What ended up becoming of that? "
She'd have her own testimony, of course, but there wasn't really much that her own discoveries brought to the table that they wouldn't have already known, so it could wait until the others were done first.
Mistair's shift of attention during all of this didn't go unnoticed by Faith either, but she figured she would have brought it up if it were something important and didn't press the matter.

*It made sense to be curious about what happened after that. And while he would like to be a bit more forthcoming about the potential outcome of that event, he was still in the dark himself. So he would have to be a bit more broad instead of more precise this time.*
"It was an informative outcome after that encounter. While I was not personally influenced by anything infectious, we should be on the look out for any new faces. Something did manage to scurry away thanks to our actions."
*Nothing infectious from the space they traversed, but something that got loose all the same. And while he didn't have any clue of what that was, it would just serve to stay on the side of caution to otherwise deal with it one way or another, especially in Faith's more lenient case.*

Vanguard payed close attention to the stone band as it illuminated, but did not hear any sounds coming from it; Vanguard himself heard the noise, of course, as he was connected to Var, but, it seemed that Mistair was still limiting him to prevent him from causing any noise, in much the same way that Vanguard had been limited by the Reaverkings up to this point.
Watching Genesis respond to the news had signs that were much of what he expected, Genesis' eyes rolling between him and Mistair, taking in the news of what had transpired. The way that Genesis responded to the news was exactly what he had feared, as he was looking at this information as limitations to what he could do against Mistair; a revelation of her abilities as a gauge of her threat level, and, by consequence, his ability to follow through with his own ideas. Genesis, quite simply, radiated fury and malice at the very thought.
Then, however, Genesis said something that got his own energy firing, as smoke began to roll off of the flames that ignited from his hands. "Eliminating Var was never even a consideration," he comments, rather pointedly, to follow Genesis' assessment of the decision. That would at least confirm that there were surely emotional decisions that had gone into making the choice; emotional decisions that could compromise them all, sure, but decisions that he would stand by nonetheless.
Hearing what came of their own side of events, it circled back to and connected with what Var had told them of - their experimentation, and just how long they had been at work on this side; or, at the very least, an estimate of how long they had been at work based on the Reaverkings' own activity. They also had another encounter with Lord Deav, then, which meant that the Reaverkings were still at large. Still, the fact that Var still had much to show for his capabilities, and even within Eden was holding back, left him to wonder if the other Reaverkings were also hiding more in waiting. It gave a very sobering reality to his 'victory' against the avatar of stagnation.
Something occurred regarding the OEL, which Genesis and Faith were both being quite cryptic about, leaving more to be wanted of the situation. Something that they encountered, and had inevitably released? How troublesome, he thought.
". . . That seems to cover everything from when we last met, then," Vanguard confirmed, sighing. He glanced back between the hologram of Faith, Strike, and then at Genesis again, trying to consider what happened next. "I know that we had discussed following those coordinates that you found elsewhere, but we wanted to meet up and regroup after our collection of adversaries before moving elsewhere. Between the talk of these trees and the culmination of whatever purpose the Reaverkings were ultimately selected for, it seems that we are about to transition from one phase of their plans to another. We need to be on the same page to determine what our next move is, if you still wish to work together."
That last statement was more out of respect, and somewhat out of concern, regarding what he expected of Genesis' opinion of Var's new situation.

"To make a long story short, think of the Wave World like the Cyber World or Real World, but for another species. Just as the other two, the third could be interacted with by the natives of the Cyber and Real Worlds."
And this third one had been destroyed unlike the other two. That wasn't to say that the other two were in the best of shapes. The Real World was no doubt reeling from the constant distress the Cyber World had taken, but was better off than most would expect at the same time. While she wouldn't say anything about that and leave that up to the others to put together why that exactly was, the thoughts they used could be put in any number of directions on the subjects at hand. One such thing was as Vanguard would mention now about working together with Var's new situation rearing its head and Genesis' personal opinion of it. And then they would be able to approach their agreement on what the next best move was.

#s://i~imgur~com/bVxYsRD~png " ... I see. "
Sounded like Genesis' side of the story was about as uneventful as hers then, which wasn't too surprising considering how short their separation was. She went on to listen to Mistair's answer and Vanguard's interpretation, taking note of his brief rise in emotion when mentioning Var, which was something she could understand all things considered.
" We'll keep an eye out then, Genesis. As for the rest of our episode, to keep you two in the loop... "
Parts of their story were still left open by virtue of Faith naturally letting others share their sides before hers, but now was the time to close that out since their pieces had been said.
" We made a detour to Lynux Island and found the former Electopian President essentially being held captive there. Essentially. The short version of that story is that WWW has roots in OEL and they double-crossed him during his pursuit of greater plans with a repurposed Soul Net -- your history lessons will dictate how much you get out of that. He's not exactly an upstanding citizen himself, but that's where he remains for now. "
She left out the more dramatic details of that encounter as they didn't provide much in the way of progressing the narrative of their side-adventure.
" OEL intercepted us on our way back, and that's where we became separated. I took a side-trip to their main office in the meantime to see if I could verify the former president's claims or just get more information on the Soul Net project -- nothing to show for that endeavor, but at the very least I can't deny any of it still. "
She had to expect that there was some sort of tracer in both of her PETs after that exchange with OEL, but the paranoia wasn't an important detail here either.
Now that she had completed that arc of the events, she picked up by responding to Vanguard's dialogue as well.
" Right -- if a trip to the moon is involved then I'm absent of any ideas. Even digitally, we'd need to have a connection to a device up there. As great as we can all agree mankind is, we haven't quite made any progress on colonizing the moon. "
Her usual, cheeky sarcasm in her voice was all over that last sentence, knowing full well which among them were and weren't humanity's biggest fans but still playing it off as a joking matter. If nothing else, her showing that her stance on the matter had taken no offense even knowing the facts at least spoke volumes of her cooperative nature.
" Not publicly, anyway. I've no doubt that someone, somewhere has something set up, so it's just a matter of how deep our list of informants goes if we're still eager to take that approach. I don't have an alternative 'next course of action' for now; knowing that the Cyber World attack wasn't even their end goal does have me concerned for what'd be next, though. "

*That show of power from Vanguard was enough to tell that the calculating tactician had easily let emotions sway him over logic. So it couldn't even be called a practical choice at the end of the day to use someone who would be a liability to their overall efforts moving forward. In fact, even disregarding the principle of the matter that he understood from the Original Navi, the fact that he had only been there to... no, he would let that slide as well. As Vanguard had asked in the end, it was a matter of how they would work together. And the answer to that was plain and simple now that the deed was done, his eyes squarely on Vanguard.*
"I have no problems letting this situation fall flat. The bed is made. However, in return, you will do the same for my own decisions. That much is only right for us to remain on the same page."
*Otherwise it wouldn't even be working as a unit so much as only working for the benefit of one side. The unit was so that they could each benefit. And since he would have to put up with such a thing from one end, the same should be expected in return. If not, then Vanguard was a larger liability and they could simply go their separate ways without any of the additional issues like fighting about it. It would be a waste of his time and energy he could direct to other things. But at least this way now he wouldn't have to worry about the Darklight Harvester having any further issues with what he was doing with this arrangement. Even aside from that, Faith was at least right that it was well in humanity's hands to have gotten that far. But based on their informants they could probably have them investigate it themselves even if they didn't send them up there themselves. Whether or not they would be able to do that depended on the other side here, so he wouldn't delve any deeper on how to do that right now.*

Unless that page has pictures, then at least half of the Navis here won't care about it.
...the snark. Walking up behind the group, a Navi clad in mirrored green armor makes his way with a casual wave and a relaxed expression behind his green-tinted visor, being sure to show that he has no ill-intent as he does so.
Edge: For the record; literally no idea what you guys are talking about, I just heard something about a page and had to capitalize.
Edge then takes both hands and points to Faith with a smile.
Edge: Yo, gal with the chronic internet addiction; Tuts wants to talk with you, said to meet him at Okuden. Says it's pretty important and can't wait.
Edge then partly forces his way into the group, still standing back just enough to not pose any sort of threat.
Edge: So what are we doin here, guys and gals? Planning to take over the government? I'm in if we make April 1st a national holiday.

#s://i~imgur~com/bVxYsRD~png This newcomer's personality was more off-the-rails than her own navi, and she could sense Strike itching to fool around as well but at this point she had him on a tight enough leash that anything less than his best behavior would get him "grounded" back in her PET again for who-knows-how-long. Miraculously, he remained quiet while Faith considered Edge's message.
" Uh-huh... "
In immediate hindsight: having a suspicion that her PET was bugged by OEL and then instantly speaking ill of OEL through that PET probably wasn't her best course of action. But here she was.
" I guess I'll be going that way, then. Something tells me a brutal lecturing is in my immediate future. Anyone wanna tag along? "
She said it jestfully, of course, but her long pause after the invitation implied she was actually serious. At this point, her impression of Tuttle was of the cranky old man he was portrayed to be.
" Keep in touch, and be nice to each other while I'm gone! "
She said that in reference to the subtle (or not so subtle) tension between Genesis and Vanguard before her holographic screen fuzzed out and vanished, one last hint of her voice lingering before it was gone entirely along with her Navi.
" Let's go, Strike. "
(( Faith -> Okuden Park )) (( Strike -> Out of Story, hope you enjoyed your brief time in the sun while it lasted kiddo ))
