Optimizing Battle Chip utilization wasn't exactly the type of work Feint liked doing, but after having it been assigned to her as a miscellaneous task from NIA while she was awaiting higher priority orders, she figured she owed it to them at this point to accept it without any fuss.
That wasn't to say the information she'd learned would be useless, either: knowing what sorts of weaponry that Navis generally had access to would certainly improve her performance when fighting against them.
She waited in the simulation arena for an opponent to approach her, studying the possibilities that had opened up to her under these set of rules.
Xylia had been out reading the BBS looking for ways to earn a little bit of zenny. She had been trying to find herself and her little family of Viruses a home outside of main towns, to hunt for bugfrags, and meet new viruses, but still close enough for her to shop for supplies. She had heard of battle chips before, but was not very experienced. She considered her options, and realized that maybe she could learn about some of these "battle chips" to defend her and her family...
But her opponent jogged something in her memory. A familiar face?
It didn't matter. She scrolled through the list, picked a powerful chip to charge, and hoped she would see it's effects!
Feint recognized the girl, from two different occasions that is, but didn't really keep tabs on people she'd helped in the past and personally preferred that they didn't do that either.
As if dismissing the notion of recollection, she fired her gun to signify the start of their engagement. Being that she was mostly here to study particular chips, and that her suit hadn't absorbed any energy to convert into more firepower, she ceased her assault from there and went forward charging her own chip as well.
Desolation Trigger - Hyper Attack Feint's firearm boasts power to shatter a mountain, and recoil to dismember the wielder's arm if not used carefully. It is limited by the damage that her suit absorbs, however, and of little threat without significant trauma. 120% X-Damage × 1 Hit ° Undodgeable, Cuts Auras ° This Attack's Damages scales off of Feint's Regen instead of Base Damage ° This Attack's Damage cannot be further augmented 1 Turn Cooldown
Xylia wasted no time, calling forth the elemental energies in the panels and the air around her, to mitigate the bullet. Without wasting any time, Xylia summoned two of her children, and activated her chip. From there, she raised her hand, blasting a silent, invisible wave. Knowing she wanted to charge a second chip from that list, she began doing so.
While she didn't recall much, Xylia did remember one thing about this face: Show no Fear, show no mercy.
Alteration: Essence C-Tier - Inverse Power Block Xylia can utilize essence from anything, to weaken the effects of an attack as they strike her! She can even alter the powers of a threat to weaken their Attacks! - Reduces the base damage of 1 avoidable attack to 0 7 uses - 3 Base +1 at V3/V5/V7/UI (6/7)

Not that Feint was really the talkative type herself, it just wasn't what she was expecting.
The chip she'd been preparing suddenly fizzled out and dissipated; Advanced Dark Chips weren't exactly a familiar tool to her, so it made sense, she supposed. Selecting another one instead though, Feint scanned the field at the sign of newcomers to ensure there weren't any more she had missed.
With no attacks to absorb energy from, and her gun overheating after each shot, there wasn't much else to do but allow Xylia to continue her agenda here and be ready to respond.
seeing her little trick work, Xylia was glad she had gained a few seconds to focus on her next chip. Releasing it, she was curious to see if it would land. Switching gears, she quickly scanned the list of chips again, trying to avoid the scary, dark ones with "warning" on them. Her head pulsed for a second, as if the stranger reminded her of something, a single image of the woman standing in front of her.
What did it mean?
knowing that her opponent wasn't going to give her much time, or fall for that trick twice, she grabbed the first few chips that came to mind, while charging yet another chip!
As if to invoke her into speaking, Feint activated the Giga Chip she had been preparing, but then suddenly created another one out of the dark panels she had set earlier. The newly formed Advanced Dark Chip broke apart into a countless number of black swords that swarmed Xylia all at once: an attack that even some of the most powerful navis would struggle to contend with, thrown at her non-chalantly as if she was meant to handle it without issue.
Feint didn't charge another chip, though. It was clear that she was about done with what she was testing, and at this point was just sticking around to see how well Xylia would handle her final blow.
And the blade struck true! Xylia refused to move from her spot, so she planted her feet, and crossed her arms. The blade seemed to pierce her arms, but to her surprise, didn't hurt. Upon lowering her arms, she pushed her arms forward, releasing all of her stored power towards her opponent!
"... I will not admit defeat!"
She threw her next chip, and a large green saber flew straight at her target!

Feint smirked at the bravery, letting Xylia's attacks hit her as well before she turned away to leave.
" Guess it's up to me to, then. "
Feint was impressed by it, but Xylia wouldn't see it on her face with her back turned as she walked away. It was a cold notion at face value, but underneath the layers, she was rewarding the courage in a rather indirect way.
