Taking her time to study over it, she lingered quietly in the arena as other matches were going on, finding herself lost in the abundance of information that was there to take in.
" Hmmm... "
Was she scheduled for a match as well?
She didn't remember, but before long she didn't worry either as her mind quickly side-tracked back to studying the Chip Library in a pamphlet that was handed to her at the entrance.

As Shine examined the catalog of chipdata, a dashing navi [quite literally, running at an accelerated pace ] entered the arena himself, with a light step accompanying his abrupt halt.
"Phew! If I didn't know any better, I'd say I was almost a bit slow getting here." he spoke aloud, proceeding to mutter under his breath something about 'rusty' and..'speed exercises'?
Even though he had just finished running, Revved proceeded to run in place for a moment, even hopping in place three times before clapping his hands together before him and taking a battle stance of sorts.
"So you're my opponent for this sparring session? Interesting." he said, finally directing his attention toward Shine...as a small window popped up at eye-level, showing him the available chips of all sorts too.
"Hm! Ah...wow!" he mused to himself, as he took note of all the 'toys' they could use to keep things interesting.
...he thought there was the usual introductory ongoings until the green words 'BATTLE BEGIN [First turn: Revved]' flashed before them, disappearing from view as quickly as they appeared.
A seemingly thin forcefield materialized around Revved and then he was engulfed by a bright light, giving the barrier more of a lantern-like appearance.
No sooner than the radiant light flashed forth was it gone, with Revved's red & green suit shifted into a white and yellow, with both pulsating with energy.
He held his gloved hands up to eye-level as well, in fascination of the sudden change, noticing they'd shifted colors to compliment the white & yellow ensemble. Even his black boots were now a creamy white.
"Alright! Let's break in this new transformation!" he said excitedly, feeling energy welling up inside him.
There was a brief change in the air as Revved began storing up power, putting in more tactics for a moment too, though not readily apparent to anyone but himself.
He then thrust his right hand forward, calling forth a timebomb. It didn't exactly seem like the move a speedster would use [ at least Revved didn't fully think so...] but he felt it was a viable tactic.
Revved then shifted his weight and flew toward Shine, aiming a punch at her, storing up a separate instance of power.
Finally, Revved called forth three orbs of light, sending each on a different trajectory path, but they all would be set for the same destination: wherever Shine would be.

Shine was met by each of Revved's attacks during her gloating, but after cartoonishly recoiling from each of them, she seemed to brush them off and get back to her feet afterward. The time bomb brought back memories of her encounter with certain bugs, but she figured the "3" on the timer gave her plenty of time to deal with it later and didn't bother with it for now.
She retaliated with a barrage of shurikens... which normally would have meant something, but perhaps she skimmed the rule about her Non-Chip attacks being ineffective against targets that had entered unison with a chip. Seeing as she didn't enter her own unison, perhaps she skipped the rule that enabled her to, as well? Perhaps she just skipped all of the rules and didn't know what she was talking about, actually???

Well, she at least acknowledge the Giga Chip ruling. As for the one she had chosen to being charging... well...

Revved rubbed his chin as he noticed his attacks had barely any effect on Shine. He wondered if this was some secret power of hers perhaps...
To counter the first shuriken assault, Revved instinctively lashed out at Shine with a technique that seemed to resemble a blade. The rest of her assault merely kicked up dust, leaving Revved unscathed.
'Hm hm! That's an interesting rule indeed!' Revved thought to himself. He was sure that the Unison had quite literally saved him from sustaining any damage at all...he'd have to look into these transformations more after this.
As she prepped her 'most powerful Gigachip', Revved grinned and readied himself.
"Bring it on then!" he said with confidence.
To begin his own assault though, the Timebomb he set down exploded in a wide radius, engulfing Shine in its destructive energies. He then morphed his right arm into a rather large, silver drill and shot toward her.
After passing by her, the speedster called upon the powers of darkness and electricity, forming a radiant, purple orb in hand and chucked it at Shine, full force.
Afterward, the air around Revved crackled and sparked with a different energy, signifying him powering up for a brief moment. The next actual attack was a large, metal head that launched itself forward like a rocket, prepared to slam into Shine with a great amount of force.
For the finisher, Revved formed a white orb in hand, that seemed to have some strange chaotic energy within it, identified by the wisps of energy bouncing around at its core. With a quick flick of the wrist, Revved threw the orb at Shine.
At nearly the same time, a force like a bolt of energy lashed out from Revved's body, intending to slash at Shine once it was near enough.

Shine seemed displeased when her attacks ended up getting completely nullified by Revved's unison, but her complaints were cut short as his retaliation came back at her all at once, knocking her unconscious without much effort. Rising from her KO'ed body, however, was her faceless, sentient shadow to fight in her stead.
Personality-less and identity-less, it didn't share her ditzy-ness and brandished a Dark Sword to cut through the Unison's protection. Its attack pattern was still pretty straight-forward, but much more deadly than its host's just a moment ago.

Revved heaved a sigh of relief as his attacks all seemed to hit their mark. It definitely was a goo-
He paused in disbelief for a moment as he saw Shine's Darksoul take the helm, gritting his teeth as the darkness came forth.
"Hmph. Guess that was only the first lap."
Revved shielded himself as his 'new' enemy rushed him, delivering a powerful blow that obliterated his barrier. No one had to tell him it'd be a bad idea to take a hit like that head-on, especially not to the forehead.
'There has to be something useful for this situation out of all these chips. Or that thing'll hack me up like a salad.' he thought to himself, looking over the chip list as fast as he could before she attacked again.
And then he found a viable solution...just as Shine's DS rushed in for a direct attack!
"Hope this works as well as I think it should!" he said, dropping in a large, bulky cube of rocks.
The sound of the fierce blade cutting into the rock worried him a bit and he was still surprised when the sword thoroughly decimated the rockcube...
"Ugh. That's some crazy power."
A gasp escaped his helmet as she swung again, a sense of dread swelling up within Revved.
'Normal speed won't cut it here...THEN-!'
Doubling his speed output, Revved accelerated toward Shine DS' attack, narrowly dodging it.
'Let's be careful about doing that again...'
"Cube number 2 then! Don't fail me now!" he announced, placing another Rockcube done and using it to intercept his next attack when it came.
Again the dark sword cleaved through the cube, but at least it protected him for a moment.
Shine DS swung at him one last time, for now, but Revved managed to bring up a shield of his own, warding off the dangerous strike.
He would've released another sigh of relief, but Revved knew to stay vigilant for real now. This foe was coming at him with quite a bit of fearsome power, so he'd have to use his head more to counter...or in hopes of doing so.
Revved first decided to do something about the very troublesome stage she had set, changing it to something less drab and more electrifying.

The shadow looked like it was pulling its hair as the electrical terrain appeared, clearly frustrated by the interference of its choice of weaponry. To add to its displeasure, Shine appeared to be waking up soon, so its rampage would be coming to and end before long.
The shadow hid from the bright light of Revved's succeeding attacks behind a black Rock Cube conjured up while the shots were still in flight, sparing itself from an earlier demise.
Afterward, it drew its sword again and plunged it into the ground, the force of impact completely shattering the floor to the point that it was unrecognizable from what had covered it just a moment prior. Amidst the chaos, Shine's shadow crushed over a dozen chips within is palm; the residual data seeping down its arm as it held it over its sword, appearing to coat the blade with the fragments of the destroyed chips.
Without warning and with quite an aggressive display, it leapt toward Revved once more and let loose a furious flurry of slashes, displaying nothing less than a brilliant last stand just before Shine would wake up and it'd be forced to fade back into obscurity: its intent to drag Revved down with it being clear as day now.

As Shine's darkside came at him yet again, Revved held up one hand and blocked the strike with a barrier, warding it off successfully. A few wisps of energy became one with his systems too once the barrier was gone. He repeated this tactic once more, leaving him with no more uses of the skill...
For her next two strikes, Revved called forth a rockcube for each, which successfully intercepted each deadly strike.
Fighting hard to keep her away, Revved materialized a rather thick barrier, deflecting the blade of darkness once and then proceeding to repeat the maneuver yet again. Neither barrier survived the encounter, but they had both served their purpose.
For her last two strikes, Revved returned to his cube tactics, intercepting her ferocious attacks with a single cube made from rock.
Revved breathed hard after somehow warding off her attacks. He could feel that his foe had quite literally grew in power before his very eyes, while he was mostly playing keep-away. He knew full well that time was running out...and if he failed this time, the match was set.
...he wasn't prepared to let this end though. Not as long as his fighting spirit raged on.
Revved threw one finger skyward, calling upon a single chip. A bolt of lightning descended from above, making a loop in the air before it came down upon Revved. He clenched his fists as he began yet another transformation, his helmet gaining lightning bolt-like 'ears' on the sides. Without wasting any time trying to come up with a suitable one-liner, Revved mustered up as much speed as he could draw upon from within, using the new crest he obtained as well.
In an attempt at possibly ending things, Revved summoned a blue saber to his hands, exploding forward and making delivering 3 quick strikes in nearly one move.

Shine's shadow, still separated from her body, was beginning to fade away as Shine herself was waking back up, slowly crawling back to her feet as her eyelids lazily raised.
" Ugh... what happe-"
Before she could finish, she was met with a barrage of Revved's battle chips, panicking and hiding behind a rock cube as he approached, she was pretty clueless as to what was even going on at this point.
Her shadow wasn't quite done yet -- as the cube shattered and Shine was forced to take the attacks head on, her limp body once again fell back, but was picked up by her shadow that moved her around like a puppet: striking back with a force not quite as deadly as before, but equally as ruthless.

Revved was pretty peeved, to say the least, about his opponent still surviving his assault. But he was moreso bothered by the sight of her darkside returning to the field yet again.
He decided to brace for impact against her assault, barely hanging on by a thread.
Revved's navi emblem pulsated as a program activated from within, enabling him to fight on despite sustaining critical damage, while light surges of green energy restored a small fragment of his strength as well.
"Looks like the race isn't finished yet!" he said, conjuring forth another storm of bladed yoyos. But at the end of the storm stood Revved, equipped with a rainbow-tinted sword that seemed to pulsate with power nearly equal to that of Shine's dark swords.
"TAKE THIS!" he exclaimed, accelerating toward Shine like a rocket and slashing at her as he passed by.

Shine's shadow dropped her body and raised its arm as if to brace itself for impact as Revved drew knew -- but it was to no avail as he slashed it away effortlessly. In wisp of smoke, the shadow vanished, which took care of her Dark Soul finally, but Shine herself was still coming to and crawled back to her feet just after her shadow had been expelled.
" H-Hey! Take it easy! This isn't a death match! "
She fought back, of course, but she was still too oblivious to use chips against him despite his advanced form. So instead, using shurikens as knives, she cut away at him while stumbling backwards trying to create some distance as if to get away.

The shuriken once more all bounced off Revved as if they were mere toys, allowing him to chase after Shine.
"Indeed. I'm glad it's not or else we wouldn't be able to spar like this." the lightning speedster replied. "All's fair in a sparring match like this...right?"
...at least that's what he thought.
"That dark power of yours seems built for a deathmatch though...so you'd be fine." Revved said casually, running alongside Shine for a moment, before breaking away and making a U-turn to continue chasing her.
Restoring a bit more of his energy, Revved then dashed near to Shine and send a huge fist her way, seemingly from nowhere.
Absorbing power from the attack, Revved deployed another storm of yoyos in all directions, intending to seal the deal. ========

Clearly it was just an unconscious ability of hers whenever it happened, but that did make sense considering she was blacked out every time it did.
" I have my Dark Chip usage completely under control and could stop at any time... if I wanted to! "
Certainly not the words of a addict, either.
As the storm of yoyos closed in, Shine ducked down as if hiding behind something despite nothing being there to intercept the blows for her. She'd gotten cut up pretty good, but was at least still standing after it.
" How about we call this a draw? I have to go, uh... treasure hunting! Ciao! "
And just like that, she dove into her shadow as if it were a portal to another dimension and left the area, Revved being claimed the victory as it was certainly not at all a draw by any stretch of the word.
