CHIP UPDATE
(Complete)
(Complete)
Following its successful test, the update to the Chip Library plugin has now been fully integrated and you can begin enjoying the numerous QoL improvements as of reading this post.
There were a fair amount of modifications made to the Chip Library along the way, including a few that were completely removed. Compensation for those will be simple:
If you own a Shop Chip that was removed
- Claim 1000z here, as well as 600z per Level (above 1) that the Chip was
- Removed Chips: Circle Gun | Panel Out
If you own a GMD Chip that was removed
- Claim 1 GMD here, as well as 600z per Level (above 1) that the Chip was
- Removed Chips: Catcher | Color Point
ADCs have been fully reworked
- Major shoutouts to Gaia, Genesis, and Zane for months of collaboration on that
The good news is that, going forward, global modifications to Chips will happen automatically in your stats. So you need not fret having to constantly tweak them as future balance patches roll around, this will be the last time you'll have to deal with any of that.
All Chip Shops, as well as the MD Accesser, have been updated to reflect the Library Changes
FEATURES
The list of changes will be in the post below (and spoiled, to save scrolling space). For now, a reminder of all of the new features (and debut of a few new ones).

{V0 FEATURES ::(+)::}
Converts Damage Ratios to a Formula and shows adjustable traits, as well as a Template Code for that Chip.
Because of this, you may find it easier to store all of your Chips in your Stats as v0 and then simply apply your current Version to them upon use. This also prevents you from having to update them all at each Version Up.

ON THE HORIZON
Similar Quality of Life improvements will be made in as many places as possible so that the bulk of the "tedious" work during posts gets done for you, but that stuff's just going to gradually trinkle in as time goes on.
For more exciting news: Mega Chip Upgrades were sneakily implemented already, but now's me shining more light on that. You can't simply type "Lv2" on just any Mega Chip you own quite yet -- well you certainly can, it just won't yield anything special for now:
[::BattleChip:JealousyLv2:V1::]
Someone will have to discover it first before it shows up in the Library or even in the Battle Chip code at all. While the acquisition method of them has been somewhat already revealed since the implementation of the C-License, this news is to report that the feature is actually functional now, so it can get "unslashed" from that Questline.
Here's your fair warning before you're blindsided by it though: The Mega Viruses in the C-Tier Virus Horde are what you're gunning for, and they are very difficult by regular standards -- several times harder than BugRiser and much less forgiving. It is intended for high-version Navis, as a group, to defeat them. You've been warned.
In more hopeful news, I'm wanting to find ways of streamlining the Version Up process again, though not in a kind of "you just versioned up 5 times mid-conversation in-story" way like it was before. More on this later, but along the same lines would be reworking the "Tutorial" area to actually accelerate the learning process of MMM just so that newcomers are less overwhelmed by all of the information there is to learn just to perform "average".
And lastly, for what's actually On The Horizon: the Rockman Rematch (from the "Hall of Legends" event a few years back) will be the first in a series of more refined Boss Battles, and it's making rather great progress so may not be that far away. These rematches are intended to address the issues of current Boss Fights and provide a much more fulfilling challenge to Navis across the entire Version spectrum rather than being tailored to a only specific demographic. It's intended to be an ongoing process of improvement and pretty hard to summarize in as short of a section as this is supposed to be, so for now, I'll simply say "Please look forward to it" and provide feedback when it does get here.
In the meantime, enjoy the Battle Chip updates and please give feedback as well -- as always, contact me if you run into any issues using this plugin.
