Burai's presence dampened the force of the Condor, making it difficult for the guardian to make proper use of its numbers. Again, the screeching force of the wide-spread attacks would be to its misfortune, but, Burai had no intentions of this encounter moving on any further.
The Condor got desperate and overcharged its Wave Generator, which was a powerful answer to the powers that be, but, a dangerous gambit that Burai could take advantage of. Feint seemed to hold true to her own gambit, taking the brunt of the Condor's assault head on, whereas Burai once again used his speed to his advantage, darting out of the way of each of the Condor's dives as he prepared to swing his blade again. He wasn't in desperate enough need of this fight to be over to utilize his own Gold Standard, but, he did have another option. He waved his hand over his Laplace blade, a dark, coiling chain wrapping around its edge. As the chains solidified, barbs solidified around them, giving the laplace blade a sinister, yet subdued presence about it. It carried a terrible power, but that power came at a high price, and Feint could tell that Burai was willing to pay it.
He dashed forward, the edge of his blade shining, as he released his previous flurry of attacks, which Feint knew to be impossible - he could only repeat assaults if his hits had landed the first time. He seemed unperturbed by the Condor's ability to avoid his attacks, but still swung time and time again with incredible lethal intent. As before, he swung down the blade one final time, but finished his assault with a new move.
The blade vanished from his hands as he rocketed himself on his verniers, aiming his previous bicycle kick directly for Condor's chin, before that same devastating energy coiled around his foot for the return kick. This time, however, his kick came smashing back down, directly into the ground beneath the Condor, creating a massive torrent of dark energy that erupted from the impact.
[Geograph Laser] - All 5 negated via Mu Rejection Barrier. ? Negates remaining. [Flying Impact] - Burai spends 2 Attack Slots to avoid all three.
[Spin Blade] x2 Burai releases Laplace into the air, the sentient blade taking flight across the battlefield. -- 505 Blade S-Attack Damage. -- Once Laplace is activated, is used as a part of any attack slot used to avoid or charge attacks. Hits all.

Those that wield it will know the burden it carried, and the power it bestowed. -- Equip Type: Hands -- Enables the skills Aresen's Technique and Blade Dominion. Grants the attack Aresen's Shackles. Grants 5 Levels of Divine Blade.
[Aresen's Technique] Burai channels the power of the Murian god of blades, a dangerous tactile focus that focuses on the weight of one's blade to carry forth judgment. -- User's C-Range Attacks with required charge can be used for up to two turns after their use without requiring charge, so long as they do not also possess cooldown. Has no effect on Optional Charge. -- The last hit of all C-Range Avoid Separately Attacks, as well as the last C-Range attack of every turn, gains "Executes target with 30% or fewer of their maximum health after damage calculation."

[Wave Ride Boosters] Burai’s boots are equipped with a set of verniers that can shoot bursts of EM Energy, allowing him to move freely in all directions. These boosters take advantage of his already advanced senses and capabilities, enabling a wide variety of high-impact attacks and agile maneuvers, making his movements and attacks near impossible to respond to. - Burai evades attacks in any order. Burai is unaffected by effects that require him to avoid multiple times. Avoid Separately Attacks can have twice as many attacks spent on them to allow any effect that would not normally apply to apply.
[Keen Edge] A sharp blade enabling Burai to slash in a cleaving motion. - Burai’s Multi-Target and Hits All effects can hit targets an additional time instead of targeting new foes, and can be separately aimed at their primary targets up to three times, avoided separately.
[1 AS spent on x2 Damage, 1 spent to give +1 Required Avoidance; x4 Damage, +2 Required Avoidances]
[Devastating Finish] A powerful and finishing stroke to end any confrontation. - This attack deals 100% Damage. All required avoidances must be made an additional time or suffer 10% of this attack’s damage as unavoidable damage per required avoidance. If this would be applied to an attack with Avoid Separately, doubles the number of this instead. If this attack would trigger a survival effect, it instead executes a victim. Three one-use survival effects can be expended to negate this effect, or 2 turns can be deducted from a User’s Darksoul. -- 6/8 Uses/Battle
13+14+15. [True Finisher] @ Condor, hits x3 more from own effects, x3 more from Keen Edge. Requires 4 total avoidances per instance, 8 to avoid Devastating Finish. His signature bicycle kick has far more intense flames channeled into it, and, as Burai brings it smashing into the ground for his follow-up kick, it erupts into a massive turrent of dark energy. -- 113,080 C-Attack Damage. -- Breaks Unbreakable Shields, Cuts Uncuttable Auras -- Hits All, is aimed at and hits primary target three additional times, cannot be countered, cannot be naturally avoided, must be used as the last attack slot in a turn, Ruin, Interrupts Multi-Instanced Avoidances. -- Gains the modifiers that any attack used in the same chain gained from consecutive uses. -- Cannot be Naturally Avoided, Cannot be Countered, Hits up to 1 Additional Targets, Reduces Armor by 60 for 4 turns, Destroys: Auras, Destroys: Barriers, Requires 1 Additional Avoids, Cannot be Mitigated below Base Damage, Reduce Damage by half to add all damage to one Finisher used after this chain. -- Executes Victim if they have 30% or lower max health after damage calculation.

Her head still hanging to the ground, Cherish noticed a few drops of blood landing in the sand before her. She didn't know which part of her head was bleeding -- ears, nose, eyes, mouth -- but she brushed her whole face with her hand to find it and wiped it away from that hand in the sand. For good measure, she swept more sand over the droplets on the ground to bury them from sight.
It was a disheartening discovery that, even if the suit were invincible, the body operating it still was not. This was the strongest she could ever be, too: as she grew older, she'd only get weaker. It was something she envied a lot about Navis, their immunity to age, and may even have contributed to her prejudice against them. But the truth was that, someday, she wouldn't be able to stand toe-to-toe with any of them any more, and if they were still running rampant, she'd rely on other people to be strong enough in her stead -- people she knew she wouldn't trust.
That fear was what drove her to "wasting" her youth and early adulthood combating them, and even what drove her to pursuing NIA, as their ideals lined up well enough with her own. She'd always felt like a biological clock was racing against her to accomplish her mission; she never wanted to find herself as the old lady in the chair who could only hope in tomorrow's youth to win a war she was too weak to win for herself. Every sign of weakness or shortcoming that she saw in herself was a painful reminder that her time was running out, and now there was potentially an entirely new species to worry about in these EM Beings from the alternate timeline.
" So... "
Discarding the exposition and standing up, Cherish took a deep breath to discard her stressful thoughts as well before continuing on to addressing Burai, who had handled the Condor as effectively as expected all the while she was reaffirming her core goals in life.
" ... no signs of the presence at the Yeti's home? Or is it the same case as before? "
The Condor was certainly already active before they had arrived, but Cherish couldn't determine if it was due to being provoked or if it was just always an active lookout, as the Whazzap-ians seemed to imply.

#s://cdn~discordapp~com/attachments/340189121500938240/728347473344725113/113~png He brought the sword down in another swing as the Condor began to dematerialize, its energy breaking down as it began lighting up as though about to explode. Before it could dissipate, Burai willed Laplace's force against it, and absorbed its energy into its blade.
A pure creation. Undefiled.
Burai found himself heaving from the effort of the last stride, heavily breathing as he looked around. Condor Geograph still wasn't capable of landing a hit on him, but the constant attention necessary on the missiles, as well as the sudden blaze at full speed, was bothersome. Releasing the laplace blade, his wizard took form again, glaring out and around at the ruins of the temple. It let out a low, buzzing sound, which Feint couldn't even recognize as speech - Burai, however, responded as though it were talking.
"I'm aware," Burai said, seething, turning about to look at Feint for a moment. He saw her blood, which she was doing her best to hide, and frowned. The net abilities manifesting within her suit would definitely continue to allow her to stand strong against these enemies, but, not having a proper wave body could result in her dying. While the dangers of fighting in a Wave Form were not without their risks, the convergence of a wave body with her frequency would protect her, and allow her to modulate her body to frequency where the g-forces wouldn't have such a dangerous effect on her.
He didn't have the power to grant her that. As of right now, he also wasn't sure if he wanted to. Seeing her handle the Condor, and call out to him as if she was expecting him to step in and save her, he couldn't help but feel his very blood boil. She was holding her own, sure, but, none of these encounters even required her thus far. She was doing little more than diverting all of their attention away from him, and even then, he would've been more than capable without her.
Her lack of self-sufficiency and her focus on defense made her short-sighted and incapable, her power reliant entirely on the foes that rose against her. That reliance made her weak. Until she discarded that insistence, a design she was obviously capable of deciding - her code could be modulated - she would never be anything more than the human he saw before him.
Even if he did gain that power.
He turned away from his own exposition to glare through the wave space, able to finally give it more attention now that he wasn't darting away from missiles and lasers. The ruins were still dotted with massive laser blasts, presumably from the Condor, but there was also a single extreme blast of energy that could not have possibly been generated by the Condor.
It was too strong.
The area was also blasted by some sort of eroding force - like an intense wind surged through the valley and blasted away the stone pillars, or a torrential wave washed through and upset the foundation. It was difficult to tell exactly, but, the wave space held other secrets to it.
He turned across from one pillar to get a better angle, glancing up as he saw the Condor flying overhead, a ghost of its wave memory, the power it exudes strong enough to leave an image for him to watch. He walked around to see the fights from different angles. He watched it defend itself and die, and then once again something tried to recreate it in vain. It flew a little less quickly, and produced deformed creations, and was slain again. The third time was it reformed, again too quickly and too purely to be naturally.
It was close in time, almost within the same time frame. That pointed further at the rise of Le Mu - but he felt he would know if a giant continent were floating in the sky. The whole world would be talking about it.
So, why? He shook his head, turning around another set of stairs, as the remnants of a conversation were in the air. The wave energies weren't as strong as the traumatizing event of a wave being dying and being reformed, and so he couldn't get exact sounds from the voices, or even the forms of the beings talking, but he could hear them.
"This was a waste of time. Far from adequate to provide a challenge for me."
"If we were looking for a challenge, this wouldn't be the place to do so. He wanted to confirm whether or not you lived up sufficently to expectations or not. If you are capable of besting it handily, then the rest should fall in line unless these toys don't live up to all the hype about them compared to the world's progress."
"Understood. And? What about the others?"
"Dismantle them, same as here. Even you should find some pride in trampling over the work of a god, right?"
Burai paused as he listened to them. Far from adequate? A challenge? Toys? Trampling over the work . . .
A field of energy radiated from Burai's body, creating a circle of isolation around him - the very ground picked itself away from him, as he seemed to float away from even the earth in the depths of his isolation.
"They're not just experimenting on them - they were chasing them down for sport!" He spat, the fury building up in him as a powerful purple energy began emanating around his body. "They chase after them purely for the history they hold. They want to test their might against that of the Murians?! My blood is boiling at the thought. Fighting against the Murian Guardians, thinking they stand as anything before the might of the tribes!"
He swung in his rage, a coiling stream of dark energy roiling off of his fiery fist to blast a column, reducing it to ash. He shook himself free of his anger, though, taking a deep breath as the purple energy coiling from his body started turning a deep red. Continuing to breath, Burai controlled himself, and allowed himself to lower back onto the ground, as the red energy turned back to purple, and then suppressed itself back into his body.
He finished his breathing routine, and looked at Feint for a moment. Glancing at Laplace, an unheard message went between them, as the Wizard went into the depths of the ruins and moved into the large open door at the far, raised dias. When it came back out, it was carrying what looked like a large dinosaur's skull. It carried it forward a few more steps before the dinosaur skull dissipated into wave energy, and was absorbed into its body. With Laplace attuning to the Saurian Rock and Condor Geograph, Burai took another moment to absorb the crimson in the area. He pointedly ignored the thoughts building up in his mind, forcing the power down, as he banished his wave form, standing before Feint as Solo again.
"I hold the utmost respect for the Murian Guardians. They were the Heralds of Mu, his direct works, but they did not hold the power that the Tribes did. They acted as the protectors of the Continent. But there was only one true representative of each tribe. The chieftains of the Berserker, Saurian, Ninja, and Leviathan; those that wielded the OOPArts.
"They're just testing themselves, and I'll guess they wanted the OOPArts to further test their power against what the Murians were capable of. How dare they?" He turned his dark gaze towards Feint. "We have no time to waste. We must go tame the remaining furious guardians and make our way to the Bermuda Maze. I want to know how far their crimes go."
The Kamikakushi formed again, and created another portal. Solo did not wait to see if Feint was coming after him, nor even for her responses to his rants. He just jumped in, eager for the next fight.

Burai's glare at her stung more than she liked to have admit. While she'd normally return the stare with cold eyes of her own, her eye brows only furrowed in vain attempt to replicate her usual demeanor. Even she was disgusted by her own weakness, and it was on full display here.
Wounded pride was what looked back at him now.
When he finally moved on to examine the environment, she closed her eyes and looked away, regathering herself while he surveyed the scene.
She seemed better composed again by the time he had finished, listening to the debrief and only raising an eyebrow of curiosity to the term "OOPArt" as he made his spiel.
" ... "
More silence for now, but a question rose to her mind after Burai had made his exit. She followed shortly after, knowing it'd be best to ask only while it didn't slow them down.
