" Let's see what you've learned! "
Dagger in hand, Faith stood defensively to let Xylia take the first swing. It would be clear by now that she had allocated her digital body's parameters to bolster her durability, so Xylia and company could swing as hard as they desired knowing Faith would be fine for the most part.
" Come at me, Xylia! "

Despite seeing Faith's terrifying power, Xylia charged forward. There would be no point to have gotten this far without now trying to give her all. She wanted to prove that she had learned from this experience. Not wanting to disappoint her new "mentor," there was a gust of wind as Xylia fired two shots just a few feet from her target, all while feinting with a throwing hand motion. Then, diving to her right, without much warning two fireballs homed in on Faith. Without giving much respite, Xylia turned and tried to push Faith into the blast from the twins, before again moving away from where she was. She wanted to "shift her pace while attacking" to keep Faith from getting too comfortable, just as she had done to those viruses previously.
To fining, Xylia jumped up, singing a few notes, beams of energy falling from the sky towards the location Faith had been, as well as a stone spear that shot up from the ground. As soon as Xylia landed, she fired a blast of hot steam that forced her body to slide back next to Cura, Maya and Serenity...

Faith raised her arms as the first two shots came, her body steeled enough to be able to endure those as they had seen her doing before. She raised an eyebrow when Xylia feinted the throw, not sure if she should be expecting something delayed or not, but as Xylia dove to the side, Faith felt the heat of the approaching fireballs before actually seeing them with her eyes.
" ! "
Reflex took over in that moment, which was luckily one of Faith's strong traits. Her feet left the floor as she made a short jump, her body now parallel with the ground as if lying on her stomach in the air at an altitude that was about her eye-level if she were still standing straight up.
Airborne and horizontal, she twirled her body like a spinning dolphin as the fire balls passed by, the first gliding between her bosom at the start of her spin, the second appearing to slide down the scarf on her back and then between the back of her legs at the end of the twirl. Gracefully, she landed with one foot at a time and returned to her position.
Well, almost gracefully -- Xylia managed to shove her off-balance just as she had hoped and directly into the Twins' blast, knocking her forward again into Xylia who had just jumped up for her finale.
Faith crossed her arms over her head to mitigate most of the harm from the beams, but there was still visible damage on her forearms afterward. She noticed the slight movement of the soil directly beneath her and thrust her hips backward just in time not to be turned into a Nymphra-popsicle by the stone spear shooting up from the ground. Faith's eyes looked crossed as she stared for a moment at the blade of the spear that had just barely missed the tip of her nose.
Recollecting herself, Faith grabbed the spear and swung it powerfully in Xylia's direction to create a gust of wind that negated her last blast of steam, then squeezed her grip on the stone weapon tightly so that the spear crumbled in her hand afterward.
" I'm impressed! You can certainly attack, now let's see what you've learned about defending! "
Faith's red haze was back, meaning Xylia knew what came next.
Just as before, Faith zipped toward her in a red beam of light and closed the distance between them in an instant, thrusting the knife at Xylia's throat just as she did in their last spar, except this time it would look like it was slower and had more wind-up time from Xylia's perspective.
Whether it was because Xylia had already seen it and her eyes already adapted or because Faith was deliberately slowing down was difficult to determine, but whatever the case, she had plenty of time to react to the stab -- Faith preemptively planning to stopping the attack short just in time not to cut her if she didn't manage to handle it herself.
" ... "
There was a short pause as Faith made eye contact for a moment and smiled, non-verbally encouraging Xylia.
What came next now was exactly what came next in their last session: Faith zipped around to strike from a second angle, but it was the same second angle as before. The third, the fourth, the rest, all matching the exact same pattern, meaning Xylia would know where to defend if she remembered their first fight well enough.
It was clear by now that Faith was testing her adaptability: to see if she was quick enough to react to something when she already predicted it. There was nothing beyond this and no counting points this time, just pure analysis. As before, she disregarded the viral family and just focused on Xylia's own abilities for this.

Xylia knew she didn't have long to wait for a counter from Faith. As soon as she saw the red haze, she raised up her arms defensively.
They locked eyes.
And Xylia had enough time to lean back just enough to not lose her head. The slashing strike from Faith's dagger nicked the side of her throat, leaving a small red line, despite both of their combined effort. But she had survived, somehow. Then, the attacks came just as they had from their first test run. And to Xylia's credit, she did her best. She managed to fend off a couple of Faith's attacks, falling or failing to dodge several others, including one to the hamstring. However, Xylia didn't complain or just stop. She managed to weather the storm of attacks.
However, as the light kicked up around Xylia to attack, she slid to a knee. However, she took pride in the fact that she had managed to fend off several attacks, something she couldn't do before.
"You win this round. Your speed, and that explosive strength with your skills... I want to learn more from you, miss Faith. Much more."

So she was able to avoid some of it, but her physical limitations were slowing her down. Faith patted the kneeled Xylia on the head like a proud parent, then offered her hand to help her back to her feet.
" You've got the right mindset, your body just isn't able to keep up with it yet. We'll have to build that core of yours up to see what you're really capable of. "
Faith placed her dagger in Xylia's hand again, the one she'd helped her up by. Her red haze bathing that hand emanating from the dagger made it more apparent what she was doing now -- using the fashioned malware to tweak Xylia's coding slightly. Being a studier of the cyber world and Navis in general, she had her talents for sure.
Xylia wouldn't feel anything, just seeing a red translucent copy of Faith's dagger linger in her hand after the real dagger was removed. It seeped into her hand, the red haze coursing her body for a moment before fading away as well, enabling her to call back the replica at her beckoning.
" For now though, a young man by the name of Xy had asked me about you recently. He seemed concerned -- you should check in with him to let him know everything's okay. "
