(Surprise not quite dead yet)
*No further resistance at all was drawing several flags up for him. For now though they had pulled off this heist successfully, touching down again not far from Slypner. He didn't spend much time here, instead thrusting his right arm into his left shoulder, pulling back as a replica of himself was pulled loose. He'd use it to explain to any of the colonist who had questions about what happened as he raced against the clock. The lack of further resistance was strange enough, but even stranger to him was Jax not being here. He wouldn't have strayed far and better yet with Xion's grip on the colony he would know if he was here which cemented the fact that the Tectonic Terror was not. But he had a thought of two places he could be that wasn't here and Creamland would be the first of those two.*
"Be right back, sit tight."
*He would have to actually be quick with this, as the swirling mass that he brought with him wasn't exactly long to stay as just an inanimate object. While he should wait, he had his priorities. He'd see if he could match up to those before things got too bad on this end, winding down as he made his way back out, heading to his first destination without wasting time: Creamland.*

Hollow was waiting and watching as Xion suddenly returned, deposited the swirling mass of darkness, and then left without another word.
He had figured that if Xion were to return to the Dark Colony, it would be best if he were not copying his form. The silver armor shifted and folded, becoming like liquid, as it flowed back out into the robes Hollow was known for. A strange thing, this was, the situation they were in. He knew what Xion had brought back with him, of course - he could see it the whole while that Xion could.
What he didn't understand was why he had left so soon. That was not a part of their arrangements. Of course, it was of no matter. Hollow raised his hands and surged his power as what might become Nebula Grey at any moment continued to swirl around before him. He knew his interference was unnecessary, but, assisting Xion in its capture would at least bear a few rewards. Not to mention, if he stayed around, he may be able to inform Xion of the troubling details he had come to learn in the last few hours.

What? Still confused the guards just maintain their job. Watching over the reception area while shooting glances to each other about the nonsense that was their day.
... Slypner glances up at Hollow reverts back to its own form. Making mental notes of the shifting liquid that made up the navis form. Interesting. With the right modifications it could... his wayward thoughts trailing off as his eyes drifted to the swirling mist a mere dozen feet ahead. Despite not knowing exactly what the miasma could become the little artist was still aware of just how powerful the raw energy was. Hmm.

[smear:87e4e6]In the swirling mass did a purple flame of pure darkness rise up. It climbed upward, several more flames forming to coalesce around the initial marker, below the one that started in the air that steadily became more red in hue. And from the depths of those flames a form started extending out. A blue essence stretched out, connecting across the flames as one beneath grew larger.
They fanned out, amassing to create the very being that stood as Dr. Regal's greatest creation. The being that threatened all of humanity as the legendary program of darkness, and yet something felt different for any who were familiar with it from the past. A change in what the world considered to be untouchable to the hands of many.[/smear:ff7e7e]

*And it was here that he would arrive in the familiar landscape and prepared to deal with the familiar face. Except even when he just arrived through the portal and took a few steps he could note the differences in the air already. He had been all too familiar with how the presence of the great program of darkness was when he rode around with its coattails with the others back then. The others enjoyed the benefits more than he did and he took the time they were going around to instead deal with others, like... no, reminiscing was over with. The normal intelligence he would expect from it didn't matter in the face of the fact that it seemed to be exerting more malevolence than the usual from it.*

*This would entail more trouble than expected. Which was pretty much the story of his life when anyone paid it any real attention. All of his moves were things that met with interference or hurdles time and time again no matter the time or means. This was one of the rare times things were going accordingly for far too long. Excluding that weird machine that was there when he took care of Samhain and Rosso when he came to get what he wanted, then to deal with this in the way he originally wanted was no longer an option either. He'd rather utilize this opportunity to destroy it and take advantage of what these new guys had set up. But then destroying it in its entirety likely played into what they wanted one way or another. If he was going to play into their hands, he'd at least do it in the way he preferred. So now he would have to do the same thing to this one too. The others would be ready for it as it were and already were going in blind so this was nothing new for them, so he'd give Hollow the head's up and let the others take care of Slypner if they felt like it.*

Warrior arrived next, the portal clearly irrespective of the order that the group had entered in. The blue essence among the dark flames brought back memories for sure -- a certain corrupted presence was hard to forget.
They found themselves in the Dark Colony, now. Formerly it was just an October-themed rendition of Creamland and thought to be removed from our own reality, but it seemed it was back now, and Warrior could at least agree Xion had better tastes than Samhain, even if the full redesign was just a work in progress. Xion had been governor of these parts for years now, and the fact that it was never used as a weapon against Net or Human society was certainly saying something about the sort of ruler he was: neither a ruthless dictator nor a bloodthirsty warlord, for starters.

He stood next to Xion now -- oblivious to the "why" concerning Nebula's Grey being here, he did notice that Xion seemed to be too aware of it prior to its own decision to reveal itself. It was almost as if he chose the spot himself, and if that was the case, hopefully it was with beneficial intent: a lord of darkness in a place literally called "The Dark Colony" didn't mesh well on paper for the challenging side.
" Let's not waste time. In the future, I'll be of more use when I've seen how you fight and can compliment it appropriately. "
It was something he'd learned from Remnant, who'd forgone his personal combat paradigm to compliment Warrior's own style over the years. A guardian's oath was to protect, and with that guardian now gone, Warrior adopted the vanguard's role with allies he trusted -- though his was more along the lines of empowering than safeguarding.
" Until then: I can give you a pretty good head start. "
The time to strike would be when the others arrived, of course. He didn't have any awareness nor concern of Slypner and Hollow, other than registering that Xion had spoken to the one which implied an acquaintance.

Joker appeared just behind Xion and Warrior, looking out at the expanse of the strange mirror on Creamland. He was not around when the world first met Samhain, and knew not of the interdimensional warlord.
It seemed that some things were not going as planned. He did not know anything about the adversary he saw, but could feel the malevolence and power it felt. It paled in comparison to the might of the Crimson Dragon, but, it did not make it any less of a threat.
He noted the interactions between Xion and the other two he did not recognize, glancing over the entity that he offered a way out, and briefly realizing that this was the individual he had taken the sword from before, due to the energy he emitted - or lack thereof. He frowned at the idea, wondering where he had had that thought before. As he considered it, though, the energy from Nebula Grey made it clear that he had little time to worry about anything else.
The simple answer here was to just raise his strength to the occasion. Swelling up his own massive stores of power, Dread Joker released a stream of force from his being that welled up from the Program of Strength within him. His power raising leaps and bounds with each passing second, as the nuclear generator at his core began working at full speed, he released an oppressive pressure from simply the power he storehoused within him.
Warrior made it clear that he was the type to compliment someone else's style; the readings Warrior gave off made it clear that he was not simply a supporter, though, but a threat in his own right. He did welcome Joker into the 'club' of Network Destroyers. If he was the type to compliment a fighting style, Joker could make it clear what his was.
"The Eternal Endgame's time within my body has made my code accustomed to the raw power he possessed. My attack pattern is simple and easily choreographed, but the power I release is overwhelming and wide-spread, requiring better fortitudes, stronger defenses, and faster reflexes. Further supplementation of my hyper-focused startup parameters may allow me even better chances of ending this confrontation early."

Hollow pointed his own yellow orbs for eyes at Xion as he spoke to him. He recognized Joker almost immediately, and could tell from his own cold stare that Joker also recognized him. He saw it only as an opportunity to rectify his inability to stand against Joker before - he did not see it as appropriate, however, given the circumstances.
He considered Xion's words, knowing what it was that he wanted - he needed to be here when this was all said and done, so that he could talk to Xion about the situation that arose. While certain things may already be clear to him, such as the problem involving Joker, another thing of interest was much more prevalent in Hollow's concerns. His experience with Nebula Grey was entirely based on information he had from Xion's times against it; sharing a data network made that possible for them. If it was different from Xion's times against it, then, they were both unsure of what was going to be coming from it.
He was silent for a moment, a silence that Hollow was known for as his deliberate but always well thought out words were his trademark. "It does not matter if it puts up a better fight than was originally expected, our original intent remains. It was my promise to assist you in this ordeal anytime you requested it of me, and I will assume that the uncertainty validates the need of the request.
"It was always my intent to strike at it with everything I can. You know I have little need to hold back. I will assist in protecting the weaker one that is your protege. There is a certain matter we need to discuss when this is all done, and, so, I have ample reason to stay with you until this can be done."
While his voice was still cold and blunt, calculated and sure, it wasn't often that Hollow voiced a desire or need outside of pure reasoning alone. The reasoning behind his decision to assist Xion was true; it was a promise he had held to. Xion had given him an out, though, and the most reasonable solution to a promise he was released from would have been to cut his losses with something that had nothing to do with him and leave. Something else held him here, which meant, potentially for the first time in almost five-hundred years, Hollow had made a decision based on something he wanted, rather than just because it was an option.

The guards shift attention to the new portal as it forms but brief a heavy sigh of relief as their master returns. Behind him appears a plethora of what these guards can only presume to be more of their lords minions. Lord Xion, what in your dark name is this?! They point their weapons back at the formidable foe that had emerged from the churning mass of chaotic darkness. Weapons at the ready to do as their master commands.
Understood. While not directed at him Slypner acknowledged Xions comment and nodded. The scientist steps backwards a few paces to give these newly appeared brutes the birth their wasteful processes required. Unlike his last abstain from combat at the Netopian lakeside however Slypner does not take out his sketchpad. Even dulled as his senses may be in this state he understood that he may be called upon to move at a moments notice.

Following Joker's exit from the portal, Merrill walked out, shaking his head from the disoriented travel.
"Gotta relax, stop resisting so much to the pull of it."
Before he could retort, the sudden sudden burst of malevolence overtook the senses, bringing them to stare at the creature before them.
He had never seen or faced Nebula Grey before. He had heard the name once or twice previously, but that was all.
He immediately was reminded of Caliga, the darkness flowing with such intensity.
As the group began discussing what to do, with Xion's direction, Merrill listened intently.
"I'll be utility."
They had a little of everything then, as he should be able to play off of the others. He could shift roles relatively quickly, or so he thought.
He almost spoke up and made a joke about how dark it was and that he might have to brighten things up. But that would be rude, and uncharacteristic of his nature.
"... I'll keep an eye on everyone's life forces.. Just.. Be careful."
"The darkness is very strong with this one... Don't worry boy, I'll assist if I feel it necessary. Don't screw up."
His own body began interacting with the life essence around them, preparing to fight along with the others.

Lalonia looked around. She really got thrown from the frying pan into the oven, huh? Was this really the right move to make? She still didn't know.. but what else could she do? People in front of her needed help and she supposed if that's what she was created to do then maybe it's at least a start. She unfurled her wings as they began to pulse with Holy Data.
"I will back up Merrill with assisting."

[smear:87e4e6]A mirror rose up from the ground near the dark entity, the signal that the conflict was starting as from its corrupted glass stepped out a copy of each of the Navis present on the field. Each aimed at their original, as Hollow sent forth a magical bolt from his inner void as meteors fell from on high at him, Merrill would send out an oppressive number of bats while building up energy, while Lalonia let forth a light to try and envelop herself within its reach. Xion let out a swath of dark flames to go with the very same bats that were unleashed by Merrill, as Warrior's let loose with an unrestrained cyclone before he stepped into the past as Warrior would, coming down with the fury afforded to him as he would in his battles before. Joker's would follow the same steps he himself would, as echo upon echo was unleashed after stomping his foot and twisting his palm as reality would attempt to bend those before them as the being that created them stood still, a menacing force building up from within it.

As the lord of darkness made his move, Warrior stepped to the front to strike -- only to be met with a mob of Dark Souls crawling out of the demon's black mirror to stop him in his tracks.
" This is about how I remember it. "
Standing before him was a black copy of himself -- unsettling "Remnant" vibes coming from it as its emotionless, blank irises locked with his own golden eyes. It had his speed, without a doubt, and charged forward to strike at him as boldly as he had done just moments prior.

Blades met with high-pitched chimes as the metal of both weapons were matched blow for blow. Gold and black sparks spiraled out from each collision, not requiring any further specification on which originated from whom. A battle with himself was nothing new to Jacob Rayner: he'd fought himself and many better than himself over the years, this was basically second nature by now. His copy had his physical traits, but not his experience.
When given the opportunity, he made a powerful sweep with his sword to send a gust of wind at the approaching wave of enemies -- no visible damage being done to them, but clearly slowing some of them down as they pursued their originals restlessly.
" There are your head starts. Xion: here's yours. "
Sword raised skyward, an enormous bolt of electricity touched down onto the tip as if it were a lightning rod -- the bolt affixing itself to the weapon as Warrior swung it downward, literally tearing the lightning itself out of the sky as if it were a massive whip.
He swept it to the side during its downward arc, showing clear intent to avoid damaging the network as much as possible; that was done in part to wanting to turn over a new leaf in that regard, but he'd be ready to unleash fully if the situation demanded. Several of the Dark Souls were in the radius of his sweep, even Nebula Grey itself was, but the intent of the maneuver was clear: to open a path for Xion to approach, brushing aside even the Dark Mirror that spawned the devils if it didn't grow sentience and move out of the way as well.
The lightning-whip was "slung" off of the blade after the sweep, vanishing into the air just before it'd hit the ground as Warrior's sword seemed to begin sparking with a red charge near the base of the blade: clearly channeling for a more decisive swing later. He kept his eyes on the primary enemy, but address the others as he held his ground.
" Let's stay on our feet for now. The last time we fought this, reckless aggression cost us more than it should have. It's more about precision than anything else. "

*He no doubt gave off the image of a loner in the times that have past until now. He was often times on his own whenever he was met after all by the nature of him and his associates. What he could gather for the others was that the Eternal Endgame was simplistic like the giant, Lalonia was a good kid as expected, Merrill liked to piggyback right now, and Hollow was showing something that he wanted to see, albeit a surprising thing to take notice of as well, taking his eyes from the pure darkness program to look the wizard's way.*
"Is that right? Then let's do this in style."
*The Nightmare that the others were fearful of in the dark, revering it even, was the very darkness that he could control. For the others, who lived off of their parasitic darkness so much, this was a being that was beyond their reproach. That was a fact that they always adhered to and assumed to be irrefutable and absolute. He would show that such a thing was far from holding any sort of absolute in this world. Since the minions were here he would make use of them for a bit as well, walking forward as the shadows themselves seemed to move along with him. That very darkness ripped up and moved about with a will all its own, blotting out the attacks that came his way and biting into a majority of the ones that the mirrored Joker let loose himself. Since this was the head start, he would see what the lord of darkness had added to his defensive repertoire before he cut loose in full. Warrior had already made a start on that too, so show and tell would be in session sooner rather than later, his eyes beginning to gleam dimly as he spoke next, the voice resounding throughout the denizens that had arrived.*
"This is Old Yeller. He's on his way out. Fire at a distance and then retreat for a time after, then fire again on my command."
*Their first offensive would be led by him here even as he held up a hand, the darkness and time at his command shifting to their weaponry for them to follow and obey his word. And as had been kindly unleashed at him, the violet flames fired back with less force but in rapid succession without missing a beat. It seemed like it wouldn't be enough in the face of their opposition, perhaps unimpressive even given how he carried himself, yet there was not a shred of doubt behind the attacks.*

He was not prepared for what happened, next. As the lines were drawn and the resolution to fight was declared, he and Warrior stepped up first.
So did their dark doubles, spawned forth from a mirror of chaos that Nebula Grey pulled from the ground. Something within him had warned him of this, almost as though he knew it would occur, without having seen it. He knew this power, the prescience provided by his temporal and spatial awareness.
His double was more than just so for looks; he attacked with his abilities and ferocity, as well. A whirlwind of phased realities sprung up around them as time and space bent to their presence, fractured edges and blurred lines distorting the Net as endless possibilities whirled around them. The two seemed to blur within that cyclone of infinity, but the Navis looking on would feel as though they watched millions upon millions of different fights, before the two making the decisions decided that was not what they wanted, fractured that reality, and set a new one into motion.
The force of the realities destroyed to allow for a new one to set into motion created phantoms of their attacks, unbidden echoes of what could have been but was deemed inefficient. The result was bursts of raw crimson energy, intense pockets of gravity, and blindingly fast sound blasts that echoed from what once was, all the while the two giants continued to bash their fists, converging energy blasts and echoed realities together.
Joker was, of course, at the epicenter of these warping realities. He could see beyond the infinitude and into the possibilities, as his awareness alerted him seconds before - and seconds during, in some cases - a terrible blow landed, just in time for him to find himself elsewhere within the maelstrom of realities. He saw fractured spaces where his allies were already strewn around him, defeated, and willed those realities to simply close - he wanted nothing from them, not even their echoes. He saw others with blurred details, as he could only view the dangers they might bring, and he welled up that power within him to combat it. Exhausting though it was, as the last reality broke around him, and a new one was branded into place by deep black lines that stitched it into being, Joker stood strong, the echoes of what remained moving about to strike back at their adversaries just as his dark copy had. He stood strong and took a deep breath, as this reality set into play, and the Navis surrounding him would begin to process his moving about to deflect the blows, despite their memories telling them that other things had occurred.
He noted that Warrior made a point in striking multiple times in rapid succession against their clones, leading Joker to wonder just how well protected they were. If they were heavily protected by Nebula Grey, Joker could use that to his advantage.
"I don't enjoy being pitted against myself. We'll see what comes of this, however - I could use the opportunity to test what I have maintained despite it all."
The ghosts of the realities that Joker weaved through and ravaged in his efforts to survive surged forward, as his own temporal dominance split him in twain. A constant double followed behind his every step, as he shored up power and pounded his fist into the ground, warping space to appear somewhere else to do it again, as he brought down pillar after pillar of hyper condensed crimson. His shored up energy rose his power by magnitudes with each passing second, and he found himself reveling in the might he still possessed. He smashed another hand into the ground, calling down another set of pillars, willing his power to continue finding new heights. It didn't feel all that different without his satellite online, or without the Eternal Endgame in his core, although he did notice that it took more effort to collect that energy - it wasn't just shored up in advance.
If nothing else, he alone could force Nebula Grey to expose his defensive measures, no matter what they may be. The pressure he exerted with each swing, the power he wielded with each punch, the energy he compressed into each blast, would overwhelm any other adversary.
In a blink, he warped away from Nebula Grey and gave himself some distance, eyeing the gathered doppelgangers as he held up his arms. His hands folded back into his sleeves as his arm busters formed, hyper-compressed crimson releasing into the form of missile after missile that rained from on high, modified by the power he received from destroying Creamland and compressing its energy within his core. Afterwords, he reached out with his palm, just as his doppelganger had. With one hand, he twisted space; the other, he twisted time. Space around Nebula Grey compressed itself inward, the very fabric of it twisting around him as it threatened to open a singularity with the hyperdensity Joker was creating. Meanwhile, time seemed to play back on itself, as little memories of what had already occurred surged forward once again.

Hollow nodded his own approval to Xion's words. As the black mirror rose and his own doppelganger moved out from it, Hollow was prepared, black lightning surging over his body.
The Gigant and Warrior moved forward, with a magnificent display of strength. Hollow held no such levels of pure power, but was calmed in his stance by the simple measures Xion took to assess the situation. An unknown enemy this was, it would be best if they considered their options more carefully before just releasing full force.
Of course, his full force required more time to build - Xion already knew this. For now, the well that was the void within him rose as an unstoppable wall of black lightning around his body. Shifting his vision about, he held his hand aloft, the black lightning arcing from his body to surround Lalonia as well, though her name was unknown to him, the power of the void causing any assault that struck against it to simply cease.
Meanwhile, Hollow store housed his own power, preparing his magic for what he would need to come. As he stored his power, he unleashed a small margin of his force, a powerful bolt of magic that split to blast apart his mirror and two others.

Just like that, things got very interesting quickly. Seeing clones of them arise from darkness and attack was both a surprise and yet.. almost a welcome one. With Warrior and Xion taking the lead, Merrill followed suit. Both Warrior and Xion made good points, to which he agreed with. Compared to the others, he wasn't going to blast away with impunity, but rather take a much more cautious approach. Life energy of various colors, but here mostly dark and crimson, began swirling around him. Taking aim and channeling life energy, he let loose the sword of Death, aiming around Nebula Grey's head. He then summons his two handed Claymore and launches it at Nebula Grey. From there, he just focuses on storing more life energy, and waiting to see how the Dark entity responds to their assault.
