~ Outside of the Electopian National Bank ~
No alarms were ringing. No sirens blazing. No detection at all of the robbery that had just ensued, aside from a scantily-clad thief-girl making like a bandit (quite literally) as she pounced off of the rooftop of the building and onto the streets below, not really doing much to hide the brown sack that she carried on her back.
The sack appeared to be full of paper -- but not bills. No, not even Zenny. What was inside of the sack, then?
Well, information, of course! But what kind of information? And why did this bandit-girl write all of said information down on a sheet of paper and then stuff said paper into the suspicious looking bag on her back in the first place? There was only one way to find these answers out!
You see, Shine was no ordinary money-thief. No, she was a much more rare breed: an info-thief.
All of the useless information you've ever been told and discarded immediately? Turns out, not so useless! People actually paid cold hard cash for those kinds of deets, and Shine made a living off of collecting and distributing such information! Literally raking in hundreds of Zenny a year off of this special trade of hers, it was quite something to be proud of.
Exposition aside, the security guards were plainly aware of the girl's doings, but just nonchalantly ignored her as they always did. It was like letting a child steal the free lollipops at this point -- not really worth the effort to address it.
But it was serious business for her! She skittered along the streets, maneuvering her way around pedestrians as if on the greatest heist of her life and being chased down by the greatest law enforcement officers that Electopia had to offer!
There was no stopping her now!

Queen Ophiucus
The guards of the bank watched with amusement as Shine made way with her information, mere decizennies in value carried within its contents. They laughed and added to their record books how long they thought it would be before she returned, and started making bets on the matter.
They were too occupied making bets to see the doors of the bank slide open but did not mistake the distinguished sound of metal scales sliding against concrete. They looked back as she slithered her way out of the door, lowered down on her abdomen to fit through the opening. They balked and moved away, leaving her room to move, and the spoiled queen of snakes rises to her full height just a few feet away from the fleeing thief.
The buffoons behind her did not understand what she understood. Mr. Loath was an incredibly busy man. The mere decizennies she walked away with might as well have been worth millions, as that information would become more valuable, and the money it accrued could have been put into an account to accrue interest. Better yet, it could've been used to eventually buy a new pet for her to love. Of course, how could they possibly understand? She was a powerful woman, usually nestled away within her mound, tending to her pets and making good use of the money Loath paid her. To think, this young woman would even dare to stymie her supply? Sneering, the queen slithered forward, the ground beneath her turning to sludge as she began secreting her unique poisons from her skin.
"Tsssk, tsssk, tsssk . . . all of these workers, all of the time, all of the money, and we cannot get guards to manage the behaviors of a runt?
"Who needs them," she scoffs, lowering herself back onto her abdomen and darting forward with incredible speed, coiling her tail just behind Shine and arcing her upper body forward to stand before her, glaring down at her through the pink veil covering her fine, unblemished face. "You must have never been disciplined if you believe even a heist of this magnitude would go unnoticed," she hissed, the snakes swirling around in her hair beginning to move faster as she stared down her prey. "I'll just show you the errors of your ways, and squeeze the life out of you, decizenny by decizenny."

" ! "
Shine came to a screeching halt as the snake-woman suddenly rose in front of her, not really paying any mind to the tail coiled around her flank.
"You must have never been disciplined if you believe even a heist of this magnitude would go unnoticed. I'll just show you the errors of your ways, and squeeze the life out of you, decizenny by decizenny."
Shine's eyes widened at the creature before her, much like the way that prey would look its predator into the eyes. One word echoed in her mind after the threat-giver's threat had been given enough time to sink in...
" D-Decizenny? "
What was that?
... and more importantly, how much was it worth?! What looked like fear in the girl's eyes was actually awe at the discovery of a new word synonymous with "money", and having known of it now, she just had to do everything in her power to acquire this authentic piece of currency!
But first, of course, she had her current predicament to deal with.
A smile crept over Shine's face as her confrontation with the snake-lady ensued -- it was about time people had started taking her seriously!
" Oh? And what do they call you? Anna-conda? "
She plopped the bag of useless information on the end of the tail that was behind her (completely inadvertently) as she stood confidently before Ophiucus, hands on hip as if she had nothing to fear from the terrifying serpent towering over her just now.
" I stole this stuff fair and square, Annie. If you want it back, then I'm afraid we'll have to fight for it. But I should warn you... "
Shine removed something from her belt just then, but it was hard to determine just what it was in the short amount of time that it had happened.
" ... I fight dirty! "
~* Phhhhwwww! *~
She'd dropped the object that she had pulled from her belt, the area instantly being engulfed in a cloud of smoke as it hit the ground.
Shine was no where to be seen from within, and not a noise could be heard. The only clue to her whereabouts was that the sack of paper was still sitting on Ophiucus' tail, so at least Shine hadn't grabbed it and just darted off with it.
She wasn't using the smoke screen as a means to land a surprise attack either, though, so it was anybody's guess what the best course of action would be from here.

Queen Ophiucus
She realized that she had quickly lost the fear effect that she had on the little girl, noting her intelligence was about as far-reaching as her attention span. Her knowing grin shifted into a sneer as she watched the girl smile, and only darkened in response to her jeering comment. Standing there, with her hands on her hips, the girl just looked like a brat.
Looking down as the information was dropped onto her tail, the queen wrapped up the bag in her coils and nestled it close to her, all in one swift motion of her body. Then, she put her keen eyes back on the woman, watching as she dropped something -
- and a smokescreen expanded on all sides.
"Tsssk. A smokescreen? How uncreative! And how utterly horrible for my skin. Fight dirty all you want, little girl, you will not escape me!" The swaying of her silken robes could be heard as she shifted, the glittering purples of her body visible through the smoke. Something sparkling and blue was raised to her lips, and, then, the most beautiful sound pierced the darkness.
The sound of the snake queen's flute beckoned the snakes slinking through her hair. They became riled up by their queen's signal and began descending in waves, cascading down her form in all directions as the field around her became thick with the poisonous fumes from her skin and the ground became treacherous from the piles upon piles of snakes. Anyone found within the smokescreen by her pretties would be wrapped up and made easier for her to catch, while her sweet music would attract any unwary opponent closer to her.

" ... "
The fatal triple-dot silence heralded only the most momentous of feats.
The Queen's myriad snakes swam through the smoke as her enchanting melody echoed in the streets, but the vipers were trampled on by the onlookers that Ophiucus' song enthralled to move forward into certain doom. The poisonous fumes seemed to return them to their sense though, so they hastily made their retreat when they came to.
" ... ! "
The silence was louder somehow! Intensity unrivaled!
As the smoke finally began faded away, Queen Ophiucus would see the fruits of her efforts being slowly revealed to her. The poison bathed every inch of the ground within the smoke screen, except miraculously in the spot where Shine was initially standing.
And as the smoke had fully cleared out, there she still stood!
Or rather, laid...
" ... "
The girl laid unconscious on the ground, having suffocated herself by her own smokescreen!
Despite most of the attacks missing her by sheer luck, she was at the mercy of her opponent at this point, harmless and sound asleep. A defeat by any other name.

Queen Ophiucus
Queen Ophiucus had her eyes closed and cared not for those that came into her snares from outside of the field of smoke. The innocents were not her concern, and, in truth, so long as she captured the interloper, nothing else mattered.
She felt the heat in the air dissipate as her pheromones flooded out the smoke. When it was finally clear, she opened her eyes and glanced across the field of overlapping snakes. Hissing to her self, she slinked across the expanse, slowly taking back up her snakes as she moved, the limp, mechanical reptiles returning to life and taking their place back within her hair. She reached down and picked up the little girl into her arms, cradling her like a mother would her own child.
"Such a foolish little girl . . . to think you could stand before me. Next time, perhaps you'll know that the proper place for anyone before a queen is either on their knee or kowtowed on the ground." She turned towards the bank, carrying little Shine with her, all the while keeping the bag of money in her tail.
Oh, Mr. Loath; we have a new business opportunity. Someone's going to want their Navi back. Just how much will they pay for a disgrace like this one?
