PuppetMan is almost always hidden behind one of his Dark Puppets. When seen without them, he is a small Beast-type Navi, barely taller than a mettaur. This combined with his beastly appearance - that of a small anthropomorphic dark-blue and white cat in green armor - further lead to his cruel treatment. His navi crest is a hand with strings on its fingers.

PuppetMan is a peculiar navi; on one hand, he despises human-type navis like the ones that look down on beast-type navis. However, despite these navis often mistaking him for a virus, PuppetMan is willing to forgive those who apologize sincerely for the mistake. He enjoys experimenting with his puppets as well as controlling viruses. Buried underneath his playful exterior, however, PuppetMan is filled with dread and despair due to the death of his operator, and this loneliness and pain could very well lead to a tragic mistake...

PuppetMan is one of the oldest navis in existence, and is well versed in its history. Once a simple navi, PuppetMan worked as a controller for a factory his operator was employed at. When the Alpha program started to destroy everything, it almost deleted PuppetMan. PuppetMan survived solely by hiding in a small unknown server just before the server was deactivated. After the crisis, the net was restored and the server was activated and connected to the new net.
PuppetMan began searching for his NetOp, but it was all in vain. PuppetMan eventually discovered an obituary for his NetOp, who'd died in the confusion when Alpha infected the factory's machines' controls. Now all alone in a new world, PuppetMan wandered from net-area to net-area, barely surviving wave after wave of viruses. Even when he got to a safe zone or a net square, PuppetMan was terribly stigmatized, not only for not having a NetOp, but for being a Beast-Type Navi, which the Humanoid-type Navis mistook for viruses and sometimes viewed as inferior. As the centuries passed, PuppetMan discovered that his programming for manipulating the machines of the factory programs could be applied to viruses.
Taking control of powerful viruses, PuppetMan manipulated their data to his liking, turning them into his very own puppets. With their power at his side and the ability to manipulate almost any virus that crossed his path, PuppetMan went about trying to make a new life for himself, even as he was haunted by his lengthy past...
